klausvoormannofficial: October 9th is John's birthday. Thinking about him it makes me sad. The two of us have shared so many unforgetable experiences e.g. our concert in Toronto 69.

When John called me to join his new band, I didn't know that our first concert as the Plastic Ono Band was supposed to be in Toronto the next day. When I asked him how we were going to rehearse in this short time, he said: "No problem, we'll have at least 8 hours to rehearse." I answered: "But the flight to Toronto takes 8 hours?"
