In which, Megumi is certain he could never match your boldness. From the very moment you crossed paths, you had the sheer audacity to ask him out, as if fate had already decided for the both of you. By some twist of luck—or misfortune, as he first thought—he eventually relented after finding himself stranded in a mall with you and his classmates. Now, as he's stuck with his decision lingering in the air, he isn't quite sure what to do with himself.
Surely, he hasn't gone and fallen for some random, starry-eyed girl... Has he?
────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────────
"What?"
"Can you take me out?"
"..."
"..."
"Like... take you out... with a gun?" Megumi squinted at the girl, deliberately playing dumb for the sake of his own sanity.
In the thirty seconds he’d known you, he still couldn’t decide if this was some kind of elaborate prank or an unforeseen psychological endurance test.
You were just some random girl, balancing a volleyball in one hand and a drink in the other, looking as if you had all the time in the world. He had bumped into you, apologized, and somehow, in the span of a heartbeat, you had turned this into a flirtation.
And the way you stood there—completely unshaken, your expression unwavering—only deepened his confusion. Did you even realize how reckless your words sounded? Were you joking, or was this an actual death wish?
Logic told him to walk away. Instead, he indulged you.
"You’re funny, but the answer’s no." you chuckled, an effortless, unbothered smile spreading across your face. "I meant, take me out on a date."
It was a nice smile, Megumi noted absently, but it threw him off. He had seen confessions before—people fumbling over words, faces flushed with embarrassment—yet here you were, standing before him, calm and composed as if asking for a date was as routine as ordering food off of a menu.
"...You... I don’t even know your name." His voice was slower this time, laced with uncertainty.
"Y/N L/N. That’s my name."
A faint twitch formed beneath his eye, frustration—or something like it—surfacing. You were too casual, too self-assured, and it was messing with his composure.
He had no idea how to react. Who even were you? And why was this happening in the middle of a dimly lit subway station?
The air was thick with the scent of iron and concrete, the distant hum of an approaching train filling the silence between you and he can't help but feel trapped.
"...So... would you take me on a date? Or would you rather I take you on one? Both seem like pretty good options." You tilted your head slightly when he averted his gaze.
"...I—I don’t get it. What... Why would you even want to date me? We just met." Megumi stuttered.
The headache was inevitable now. Normally, turning people down wasn’t an issue for him—he was blunt by nature. But you? For some reason, he hesitated. It frustrated him how easily you disarmed him with nothing but sheer confidence.
And yet, there was something oddly considerate in the way you carried yourself, like you already understood that this wasn’t the appropriate time or place for such a question but didn’t mind either way.
"...Well... huh, how do I explain this..." You mused aloud, tossing your volleyball into the air before catching it again. "Hypothetically speaking, would me saying that I find you attractive not be a good enough response?"
Megumi tensed.
"...Well... it’s certainly a response." He grumbled, shifting his weight from one foot to the other, gaze darting away as heat crept up his neck.
What kind of courage did you have to say something like that with a straight face? Were you even real?
"...Not a good one, I assume?"
"Not really."
A brief silence stretched between you, punctuated only by the distant screech of an incoming train.
"...So would you take me out on a date?"
Was this girl serious?
"I mean... I just met you... so no."
"...Alright."
Megumi studied your expression. You looked... slightly embarrassed now, like the reality of your own words had finally sunk in. With a quiet sigh, he ran a hand through his hair, exhaling sharply before muttering:
"Maybe... if we meet again."
What was he even saying?
You blinked, then grinned. "Well... that sounds like a plan."
Finally, a bit of color dusted your cheeks as you took a sip of your drink. Megumi almost regretted wanting to see you flustered. He had only been curious—to confirm you were, in fact, human—but now that he had, it was making him blush too.
How annoying... Did he just become a sucker for a total stranger?
"You don’t really seem disappointed." Megumi noted, voice measured as he sheepishly scratched the back of his head.
"Well, I know it’s a weird question to ask someone you just met, and I can’t force you to take me out on a date." You laughed, barely acknowledging the train doors sliding open behind him.
"Why did you want to talk to me anyway?"
"I just thought you were a really romantic-looking kind of person and that I should talk to you. I figured you’d say no anyway."
Megumi huffed at that, the warmth in his face only deepening. Romantic-looking? What did that even mean?
"Sure."
He wasn’t convinced you weren’t messing with him.
The station was busier now—commuters moving around him, boarding the train, their chatter filling the space. He should’ve left already. Instead, he lingered, looking at you for just a moment longer than necessary.
"Well, is it okay if you tell me your name?" You asked, tilting your head.
He hesitated. Why was he hesitating?
"It’s Fushiguro." The words left him reluctantly as he finally took a step forward.
"No full name?" You teased, even though you weren’t sure you’d ever see him again. All you knew was that you liked this guy—a lot—and you wanted to keep talking to him.
Megumi exhaled, almost groaning. You were persistent. It was something he could respect, at least.
"...Megumi. Megumi Fushiguro."
Your expression softened. "That’s a pretty name. Alright, I won’t hold you up any longer. Bye, handsome."
Megumi turned away entirely, stepping into the train without so much as a backward glance. You had thoroughly embarrassed him.
You sighed, watching as the train doors slid shut. Then, with a small, amused shake of your head, you made your way up the station stairs, heading toward where your friend was waiting.
Megumi Fushiguro probably thought you were insane.
But if you ever saw him again, you’d definitely take another shot.
Something about him was just too cool to let go.
────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────────
Fushiguro, right?"
"Yeah, that's my name." He sighed, weariness laced in his tone.
"Can I call you Megumi?"
Megumi looked at you, another invisible tick mark forming on his forehead. Normally, he’d say no without hesitation, but something about the way you asked—your voice soft, your smile unguarded—made him hesitate. This was humiliating.
"Uh... sure, I guess."
"Well... this is kind of like a date, no?" You almost laughed, trying not to agitate the increasingly exasperated boy beside you.
It had been about two weeks—give or take—since your first encounter at the subway station. Now, fate (or misfortune, in Megumi’s case) had led to another meeting, this time involving an almost-spilled coffee. He had turned to apologize, only to recognize you, and in his moment of shock, actually dropped the drink.
You had offered to replace it, and despite every fiber of his being telling him not to indulge you, he had agreed... only because he still wanted coffee. And so, here you were, strolling alongside him as if it were the most natural thing in the world. He held his coffee, you clutched a small box of cake for later, and the city hummed around you in the late afternoon light.
"Uh... this isn’t a date." Megumi corrected, desperate to shut down whatever delusions you might have.
"Are you sure? This seems like it would make for a pretty romantic walk."
Megumi’s grip on his cup tightened. Why would you use the word romantic? Now he was actively avoiding looking at you.
"Yeah, I’m sure." He sighed, eyes locked on the pavement.
"Well, how about we call it just hanging out then?" You grinned, stepping a little closer.
He took another slow sip of his coffee, waging an internal war. He didn’t like you—definitely not. He didn’t even want to be here. He was antisocial, and he sure as hell shouldn’t be entertaining you.
Love at first sight wasn’t real. He knew that. And yet... there was something about you that made him doubt his own reasoning. Maybe it was the way you so fearlessly inserted yourself into his life, as if fate had long decided you belonged there.
He could indulge you just a little longer... right?
"Sure. This can just be a hangout."
The moment he said it, he was rewarded with one of the most radiant smiles he’d ever seen.
"That’s good. Then maybe I can get you to date me after."
"That’s not going to happen."
"Why not? We know each other a little better now, don’t you think?"
"Yeah? I still barely know you." He tried not to let his smirk show, keeping his guard up even as he found you... oddly fun to be around.
"Well, you drink black coffee, and I like cake—"
"Most people like cake."
"And barely anyone likes black coffee. That makes you unique."
"But liking cake isn’t."
"Jeez, you’re missing the point." You huffed, crossing your arms, only for him to let out a small, unexpected chuckle.
"That’s fine. I’m making my own point," Megumi replied, entirely unfazed by your frustration. "We’re still technically strangers. At best, we’re acquaintances."
"Then tell me something about yourself. If that’s the problem, we can fix it."
"Absolutely not." He took another deliberate sip of his coffee.
"Can I talk about myself then?"
"Knock yourself out."
"Cool! So, I just switched schools, and I play volleyball there. At my old school, I used to be one of those people in the mascot suits—you know, the big fluffy animals? Yep, that was me. And recently, I got a job at a skating rink—"
You rambled on, jumping between topics as if your thoughts were spilling out faster than you could catch them. At first, Megumi thought it would be exhausting. But somehow, despite himself, he found that he was listening.
Maybe it was the way you spoke—so animated, so full of life—or the way your words painted pictures of your experiences in broad, reckless strokes. Even if it drained his social battery, he couldn’t help but keep up.
Then came the voice that made his head throb instantly.
"Megumi!"
He tensed. You turned, tilting your head at the tall man with white hair and a black blindfold. Why was he wearing a blindfold?
"Oh? Who’s that?"
"...That’s my teacher." Megumi groaned, already regretting this entire day.
"Hey! Who’s your friend?" Gojo grinned at you, his energy almost overwhelming.
"This is L/N—"
"Don’t call me that. Just Y/N, since I’m calling you Megumi." You interrupted, flashing a playful smile. Gojo raised an eyebrow, while Megumi flushed and glanced away, suddenly interested in the cracks in the pavement.
"Okay." Gojo smirked before turning back to you. "Nice to meet you, little lady. Name’s Gojo."
"Nice to meet you too, sir."
"Right... what were we talking about again?" You turned to Megumi, who simply sipped his coffee as if he hadn’t just been embarrassed.
"Someone named Yoko."
"Oh, right! Then there’s Yoko—he kind of hates me, so I don’t mess with him much even though I have to see him for advanced math almost every day. And then there’s my teacher, Mr. Touya—"
Gojo observed quietly, his grin deepening. You just kept talking, completely at ease, filling the space with an effortless energy most people lacked. But what amused him most was the way Megumi listened—really listened.
With a knowing smirk, he elbowed his student, earning an immediate, half-hearted swat in return.
Then, out of nowhere, you gasped dramatically. "Oh my gosh, do you want to know something?!"
Megumi nearly jumped, almost spilling his coffee again. "What!? What happened to your mother!?"
"Huh?"
"...Huh!?" Megumi stared, utterly baffled. You had been talking about your mom just a second ago—so why did you suddenly jump topics?
"What happened to your mother?" He repeated, exasperated but lowering his voice so it didn’t seem like he was yelling at you. Meanwhile, Gojo was practically shaking with silent laughter.
"Oh! Nothing happened to my mother," you said cheerfully, "but I just remembered my dad’s taking me to Paris in three weeks since he’s working overseas!"
Megumi’s brain short-circuited. How did you function like this? The sheer unpredictability of your conversations should have been annoying. Instead, it made him want to know more.
"Yep... so that’s my life. What’s yours?"
"You think just because you dumped your life story on me, you’ll get to know mine?"
"Why not?"
"It’s because he’s antisocial. But don’t worry, I’m sure he liked it—"
"Shut up." Megumi shot a glare at Gojo, only to hear you laugh.
"Well, I’ll see you later then, huh?"
"Yeah, I guess—"
"Oh, wait! Can I ask you again?"
Megumi hesitated. "Ask me what?"
"If you’ll take me out."
"Oh! That’d be sweet, but now that I think about it, he’s getting some of his teeth removed in a few days, so maybe not!" Gojo interrupted, earning an attempted slap on the back.
"No, I’m not taking you out... at least not yet." Megumi muttered, avoiding eye contact.
You grinned. "Alright then. See you soon, Megumi."
And with that, you walked away, waving as you left.
Silence stretched for about twenty seconds before Gojo grinned. "So... who was that lovely girl?"
"She's L/N. I met her like two weeks ago… and don’t start making stuff up about me, especially in front of her."
"Oh my gosh! Are you two dating? Is she your girlfriend? Wait—don’t tell me—have you two already—!? Megumi, you're too young for that!"
"What the hell!? No! We're just acquaintances, dammit! Now drop it!"
────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────────
Megumi didn’t ask for this. He didn’t want to be here. If given the choice, he’d much rather be cooking with Maki than wandering aimlessly through a crowded mall.
Nobara and Yuji had insisted on a shopping trip, dragging Megumi along for the ride—not that he had a say in the matter. Gojo made sure of that. But somehow, against all odds, he found himself bumping into you again. And again. At this point, it felt less like coincidence and more like the universe playing some kind of twisted joke on him.
Unfortunately, this time, he wasn’t alone. His ever-annoying teacher and equally troublesome classmates were with him, making the situation infinitely worse. He already knew what was coming.
Gojo, in all his meddling glory, had ratted him out to Nobara and Yuji, claiming—loudly—that you were his girlfriend. No amount of frantic yelling on Megumi’s part could convince them otherwise. If they saw you now, he’d never hear the end of it.
"Hey, Megumi! How are—"
"Don’t be so loud," he muttered, grabbing your forearm and steering you toward another section of the store as fast as humanly possible.
"I wasn’t being loud. What’s wrong?"
"Nothing. I just don’t want to be here."
Truthfully, he just didn’t want to get caught in the crossfire. You were bold, he was reserved, and the contrast was enough to set his classmates off. He could already hear the teasing.
"You’re being kind of pushy, you know that? Are you taking me on that date now?" You grinned, following him without hesitation.
"Don’t ask me that anymore. You’re the most persistent person I’ve ever met."
"Aw, c’mon. It’s not like I’d be a bad date. I’d be fun—"
"You know what? Fine," Megumi hissed. "I’ll take you out. Just shush!"
Finally, he let you go, exhaling sharply—only to freeze as soon as he turned around.
Yuji.
Not him.
Megumi knew exactly what was coming next. Yuji had a habit of reporting every little interaction Megumi had with a girl.
So, without hesitation, Megumi dropped to all fours and crawled under a clothing rack, opting for the most ridiculous but effective method of escape. He didn’t even bother pulling you along—he just peeked out from under the rack, looking up at you like some desperate fugitive.
"Where are you going?" you whispered, baffled.
"Don’t mention me. At all. They don’t need to know—"
"Who?"
"Nobody. Just… annoying people who dragged me here."
"Well, I guess I should thank them, since I get to see your handsome face again. And now you’re taking me on a date." You smiled, unbothered, while Megumi’s face heated up yet again.
He groaned when he spotted Yuji approaching from behind you.
Yuji, for his part, had not expected to find Megumi crouched under a clothing rack, talking to a cute girl about dating.
"Uh… hey. What’s your name?"
You turned to face the boy with pink hair, dressed in the same uniform as Megumi.
"Y/N L/N. What’s yours?"
"Oh! I’m Yuji Itadori. I’ve heard a lot about you!"
"Really? That’s nice."
"Hey, Kugisaki! Gojo-sensei! Guess who Fushiguro found?!" Yuji shouted, drawing the attention of everyone in the store.
Megumi sighed in defeat. There was no running from this.
"Who?" Nobara strolled over, yawning, looking thoroughly unimpressed.
"The girl Megumi’s into!"
Megumi cringed as Yuji’s words rang out, immediately smacking him upside the head while you were distracted.
"Oh really?!" Nobara perked up, smirking as she placed a hand on her hip. "I’m Nobara Kugisaki. Best girl here—besides you, of course."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Y/N!" You smiled, taking note of what Yuji had said. If you really were the girl Megumi was interested in, than that would mean he'd want to date you.
"Well, little lady, we were about to grab some food. Want to join us?" Gojo offered with a grin.
"I'd like that, if it's okay with you, Megumi." You nodded, and Megumi sighed before muttering a small, reluctant "Sure." Yuji and Nobara almost squealed at the way you so casually used his first name.
With that settled, everyone finished their purchases. Nobara immediately decided you needed some cute dresses and dragged you along, while Yuji chatted with you nonstop.
You seemed interesting enough, and you must have been pretty impressive to catch Megumi’s attention.
"Yeah, that's how we found out that not only is Megumi dyslexic, but he also has like twenty different types of gel for his hair. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the romance novels he has—"
"I do not have romance novels in my dorm room," Megumi growled, shooting a sharp glare at Nobara, who just laughed and kept talking. He had to correct her every ten seconds as she spun wild tales, much to your amusement.
He shouldn’t have cared. It shouldn’t have mattered whether they teased him or tried to pair him up with you. After all, it’s not like he actually liked you… He couldn’t like you… Right? He had only met you three weeks ago.
"Yeah, Kugisaki, don’t make stuff up when they’d be so cute together. Just like Gojo would say, ‘Get off of him, you damn homewreckers!’" Yuji teased, grinning. "Though the gel thing is totally true."
"I’m going to kill all of you," Megumi grumbled under his breath. You just laughed, nearly doubling over at how flustered he was.
"You shouldn’t kill us," Gojo chimed in, smirking. "Especially when we’re going to be the ones at your wedding—"
"Stop it!" Megumi snapped, his face burning as laughter erupted around him.
────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──────────
"So, where would you take me?"
"I don't know... Probably a cafe or something." Megumi replied, almost forgetting that, by some miracle, he had actually agreed to this.
Though, he was starting to realize he had been lying to himself. It wasn’t that he outwardly liked you the way you did him…
But he was lying about not falling for you. Because at the very least, he wanted to be around you. And for someone like him—someone who rarely wanted to be around anyone—that meant something.
"Well, it's a good thing you gave me your number, so now I can text you about it later." You smiled, looking up at the sky, streaked in soft hues of sunset.
"I guess."
Meanwhile, Yuji, Nobara, and Gojo were doing an absolutely horrible job at being inconspicuous as they spied from the food court. The two of you had stepped outside to talk, and, like a group of nosy children, they couldn’t help themselves.
"What that boy Itadori said—was it true?" you asked suddenly.
"What did he say?"
"That you're into me?"
Megumi had to physically restrain himself from scowling. He was definitely going to smack the hell out of Yuji when they got back to campus.
Then again… he might as well tell the truth. Was he into you? Hypothetically, he shouldn’t be—not when the two of you barely knew each other. But in reality… yes. Yes, he was into you.
And he blamed you for it. It was your fault he felt this way.
"Yeah." He finally admitted.
You blinked, momentarily caught off guard. You had only brought it up to tease him—you hadn't actually expected him to admit it.
"... Really? I'm into you too."
"I know that. You made that pretty clear when we first met." Megumi chuckled, looking at you with an ease that was rare for him.
For once, he wasn’t annoyed or stressed. He didn’t look like he wanted to strangle someone. He just looked… calm. And that made you even more excited.
"Right."
"..."
"..."
"I can't actually believe you're going to take me on a date!" you beamed, barely able to contain your excitement.
"Yeah, well, I can't believe it either. I can’t even really believe I like you, so imagine how I feel."
Nobara sighed dramatically from her hiding spot. "This is getting boring. How long do we have to wait for something interesting to happen?"
"Shh!" Yuji whisper-yelled, elbowing her—only to get elbowed back.
"Ow! Quit it!"
"Shut up! I don't—"
"They're gonna notice us," Gojo warned, lifting his blindfold slightly. It was enough to immediately silence them.
Back outside, you checked the time and sighed. "Welp, I gotta go. But it was nice seeing you again—and meeting your friends." You smiled, completely unaware of the spying trio.
"I'll see you later."
"Alright. Bye—oh, wait!"
You quickly turned back and, before Megumi could react, leaned in and pressed a light kiss to his cheek. Then, just as easily, you waved him goodbye and strolled off like you hadn’t just sent his entire system into shock.
Megumi felt it—his face heating up, his chest doing that stupid thing where it beats too fast. At this rate, you were going to give him heart failure.
"Woah!" a voice exclaimed.
Megumi turned sharply, only to find the three idiots huddled behind a bush. They weren’t even trying to be subtle anymore.
"Did you see that?! That was so cute!" Gojo gushed, peeking at the picture Yuji had taken.
"Hell yeah, it was! The picture turned out great!"
"It did?! Let me see! Oh my gosh, that’s so sweet! And now they’re going on their first date?" Nobara smirked.
"This is amazing! They have so much chemistry! I’ll bet you ten thousand yen they’ll end up in the same bed in two months—"
"I’m giving you all five seconds." Megumi’s voice was eerily calm as he loomed over the bush.
That was all the warning they needed before they bolted back into the mall, leaving Megumi standing there, still red-faced, cursing the fact that he had ever left his dorm today.
4:23 pm | the adventures of dad!gojo
content: 0.9k words, fem!reader, dad gojo, megumi is your son, silly crack fic
gojo satoru is a man with very little fears.
in actuality, people are afraid of him. a mere gaze from those cerulean blue eyes of his sends people running off to the opposite direction, so the adjective “intimidating” was quite the understatement to describe him. some might even say that he’s the strongest, so he possesses no fear at all.
despite that, gojo has one thing he’s deathly afraid of: you–his wife, when you’re angry.
“suguru, help me out here!” geto can physically feel his bestfriend’s panic through the phone. gojo explained the situation in a fast ramble–geto could barely understand what he was saying, but he thinks he got the gist of it: you went out to run some errands and entrusted gojo to take care of your two year old child, megumi, while you were out. gojo conjured up the genius idea of keeping megumi entertained by handing him a paper and markers–so that they could surprise you with megumi’s amazing artistic abilities once you came back home.
it had gone “so well”, gojo said earlier, picking up the paper and studying it. “i think this is a drawing of a cat? or a dog, i don’t really know.. still, it’s made by my son, and it’s the peak of art and i think everyone should see it!”
gojo was so busy trying to decipher what megumi had drawn that he didn’t realize that his son still had the markers in his hands. when he peers over to look at megumi again, he just about screamed.
“gumi- no- GUMI!” he shrieks, snatching the markers away from his son’s hold. megumi, not having a paper to draw on anymore, decided to use the wall as his canvas instead—sketching a poorly drawn house with a bright red marker. “you’re not supposed to draw on the wall! aw fuc-ahem, freak… your mom’s gonna kill me…”
“gosh suguru, some advice would help!” satoru’s never been so afraid in all his years of living. you’re coming home pretty soon, and he has no idea what to do. he’s already imagining the look on your face–and it’s pushing satoru to the brink of passing out. gojo satoru–the renowned sorcerer who’s fought the king of curses, been sealed away in a box and has had multiple near death experiences–all of these things have happened to him yet none can compare to the fear of facing his wife when she’s angry.
“hmm? what is it, nanako?” satoru can hear his bestfriend trying not to laugh over the phone. suguru knows an easy solution to his problem, but he thinks that leaving satoru in the dark is funnier. it’s rare to see the strongest sorcerer like this, so geto revels in it with pure amusement. “you’re hungry? okay… let’s see what i can make for you, yeah?”
“you heard her, satoru~ one of the twins are hungry. i’m afraid i have to go… good luck about the markers, yeah?” suguru hangs up before satoru could say a word. he curses under his breath, but feels his heart stop when he hears the door unlock.
you’re home.
“mama!” megumi yells, clapping his hands and slowly crawling over to the front door. you happily greet your son, placing the grocery bags on the table.
you walk over to your husband, kissing him on the cheek before noticing the piece of paper that he’s holding. “oh? what’s this?”
you grab the paper from his hands and satoru regains a little bit of his composure once he hears you coo at your son’s drawing. “thought it would be nice for me and megumi to surprise you while you were gone… it’s a drawing of a cat-”
“horsey!”
“...a horse. yup, that’s what i said!” he sheepishly ignores his son’s glare, mentally preparing himself to tell you about the wall.
“i love it! oh my gosh, megumi, aren’t you just a little artist?” you say, ruffling your son’s hair with a big smile. “this is definitely going on the fridge.”
“...there’s one small problem, though…” satoru refuses to meet your gaze.
“what did you do this time, satoru?”
“hey, it technically wasn’t me!” he says, this time being the one to shoot the glare at his son. “so hypothetically…what if i told you that gumi thought it would be a nicer idea to use the wall as a canvas instead of the paper?”
“...”
satoru perceives your silence as his death sentence. “look, i’m sorry! i was trying to figure out what he drew and i forgot that he still had the markers in his hands-”
“satoru-”
“and the next thing i know, he drew on the wall before i was able to take the markers from him-”
“toru-”
“and suguru wasn’t giving me advice either, but then-”
“satoru!” your final yell finally breaks him from his ramble. he’s surprised to see that no, you don’t have a look of murder on your face. in fact, you’re actually smiling—looking more amused than anything.
“satoru, they’re washable markers.” you take a baby wipe from your purse and walk over to the wall, wiping away the bright red marker strokes easily with a few swipes. you’re trying not to laugh at his dumbfounded expression. “did you not know that?”
now he’s the one stunned into silence. “...”
“no, no… i definitely knew that…!”
“yeah, sure you did.”
being a father is so difficult.

you’ve been working as bakugou’s personal assistant for as loooong as you could remember.
when you first applied, you were ecstatic! you managed to snag an extremely high paying job with little problems. it honestly felt like it was too good to be true.
… well, it sort of was.
you knew that bakugou was hard to deal with—it was always apparent in the few interviews he had with tv hosts, reporters, and especially with paparazzi. but you thought that it was probably because he disliked the fact that most of them always tried to get their hands on some information in his private life. he rarely attends events, and if he did, it was only an extremely short appearance—so naturally a lot of people, including you, thought that he was just an extremely reserved person.
and sure, he has a temper, and he is a reserved person, but he’s also just. quite hard to deal with. more than you thought he would be.
he wanted everything to be organized, he wanted you to be extremely organized. he expects you to know all the specifics of his work life: all of the events and interviews and meetings and photoshoots and whatnot. when and where, why do it in the first place, who will be in the same room as him, how long do you estimate it’ll take, take care of the ones that he deems “unnecessary”, etc.
at first you thought you were doing everything right, but apparently it wasn’t good enough in his eyes. he told you off for getting certain information wrong (it was right, it just wasn’t as detailed as he wanted), he told you off when he had to attend a “stupid, unnecessary event” (it was a pro-hero ball), and he told you off when you couldn’t catch up with the amount of emails and calls (it was literally your first week on the job).
still, you stayed and put up with it all.
at first, you talked back because of your pride. after those moments, you would always go home crying and scared, thinking that you might’ve lost your job for good this time. but he never fired you, even when you called him an “ungrateful asshole” one time.
bit by bit, you just got used to it. you start to smile, nod, and apologize when you did something he didn’t like. it surprised him at first, and sort of bugged him, but he never told you about it. bit by bit, day by day, you would perfect his wants and needs with work, leaving him with nothing to complain about.
“oi, did you cancel that stupid ph—“
“did it yesterday, sir.”
“… the pro-hero meeting tod—“
“8:30am, the meeting will be about catching a group of villains that have started to cause more and more damage everywhere they go. i’ve asked deku’s secretary, and they’ve told me that the villains had some sort of power-up that’s made them stronger and more dangerous.”
“..? who am i meeting wi—“
“pro-heroes deku, shouto, red riot, pinky, uravity, mirko, ingenium, best jeanist, lemillion, phantom thief, cellophane, and grand.”
he just stares at you after that. his eyes bore into you, but you paid him no mind. you continued fixing his schedule for the week and answering some emails. he blinks once, he blinks twice, and he blinks another couple of times before grumbling to himself.
“anything else, sir?” you ask without looking at him, busy with typing away on your laptop for the report he wanted done by 2:00pm. the only reply you got was him opening and closing the door.
and this was how your days would usually go. your short replies were either met with grunts or closed doors instead of the fighting the two of you were once used to.
but you started noticing something.
he’d make coffee for two instead of one, making sure that the other cup was just right, just to your liking. he would tell you to ‘take a damn break’ more often than not. he would walk you to your car and would watch you leave the parking area from the side before going in his own vehicle. he would ask for your advice on more things than before, and most of the time, it’s the one he’d always go with. when there’s events, he would always make sure you’re there as his plus one (and in these cases, he stays longer than he usually would).
but you never really put more thought in it. you just assumed he was more lax now because you knew how to do the job right in his standards, and this is him being grateful that he didn’t need to waste more time arguing with you and correcting your mistakes.
you never really thought about finding another job or even just taking a long vacation, until one of your friends mentioned how you rarely went out and would always be busy with work. well, they always do, it’s just this time it… made you think.
“c’mooooon! just this once! and you don’t even have work tomorroooow!” one of your friends cried as she shook your right arm. you sighed and tilted your head, thinking.
they were right. every day your only focus was to ensure that the work you did was to bakugou’s standards. every day you ensured to be the very best out of spite and for that sweet, sweet paycheck. but… you didn’t live. you didn’t party, didn’t go to clubs, and you barely go out for dinner with your friends.
“we should go out and meet some people! you’re 27, girl! we should be out and enjoying liiiife!”
you chuckle and playfully shove them away from your arm. “fine, fine. let’s go out tonight.”
you went on to buy a dress just for tonight, did your make-up and hair all pretty, and had a fucking blast with your friends at the club. you danced and danced and drank and drank, going back home when the sun was already up. sure, the morning after was unbearable and annoying, but you still had a ton of fun.
you wanted to live for fun rather than for work. you wanted to hang out more with your friends. hell, you wanted to travel the world! but you couldn’t do any of that if you were still going to be stuck as bakugou katsuki’s personal assistant. because every day, every waking moment, you would be focused solely on your work and nothing else, like a programmed machine that does not know anything but what was coded in it to do.
you didn’t want that anymore.
you have enough money, more than enough if we’re being real honest. if you want another job, you could probably go on and open a nice little book café. but working again was far from your concerns at the moment.
right now? it’s telling bakugou that you want to quit.
“what’s the event later tonight?” bakugou asks with crossed arms. he glances at you, quickly typing something on your laptop before pushing pushing your specs up on your nose.
“it’s a charity event, sir.”
“you’ll be with me f’ tonight,” bakugou states, like it’s a matter of fact.
you fidget with the buttons on the sleeve cuffs of your blazer, taking in a deep breath to mentally prepare yourself to break the news to bakugou.
“of course, sir. but tonight will be the last time i accompany you to such events.”
“huh? and why is that?” he asks with a raised brow.
here it goes. you stand up from your desk and walk over to him. you bow low and long, which made bakugou clench his hands into fists. he already had a feeling.
you stand up straight and look him dead in the eyes.
“i would like to quit as your personal assistant. i believe i’ve given more than enough of my time here. i will ensure that your next assistant will be able to manage everything according to your standards before i put in my notice.”
a moment of silence passed. you didn’t move or speak another word. another moment passed, and he still didn’t say anything. it was like time froze, and you started fidgeting with your fingers, feeling a drop of sweat drip from your forehead even in the cold room.
another stupid moment of silence passed and you felt antsy. he wasn’t saying anything, he wasn’t reacting. you didn’t know if he was mad or what, you couldn’t read him this time. he just stares at you blankly, not a single shift in his expression.
“… sir?”
“do you need a pay raise?”
now that just ticked you off.
“… no, sir, i don’t.” you say with a forced smile.
“ya know you can take a vacation, right?”
“yes, sir. but i’d like to try new things, too.”
“like?”
you try your hardest to maintain your professionalism, it honestly looked like you had that little angry emoticon on your forehead right now. you didn’t expect him to be so hardheaded about this, you assumed that he would shrug it off and tell you to ‘do whatever the fuck you want’. you didn’t understand why he was being so stubborn with this.
“i don’t understand why you need to know, sir.”
you swore you just saw his eye twitch.
“well, since yer still stayin’ to get another assistant—“
“a new assistant,” you interject.
he grumbles, his expression forming into a scowl. “—another assistant, why can’t you accompany me for future events?”
“that will be the new assistant’s role, sir.”
you could sense his growing frustration. it was obvious with his scowling expression, one of his legs jumping up and down over and over, and his arms crossed together tightly against his chest as he leaned back on his chair.
“i don’t want or need a new damn assistant!” he yells as he stands up and smacks his hands palms down on his wooden desk.
“well i! want! to live! my life!” you shout back, your tone was sharp, jabbing each word at him. you had one hand on your hip and the other on your chest, breaking away from the professionalism you tried to maintain so as to not turn this into a heated fight. well, too late! good god he was being more stubborn than usual and it felt irritating.
“i want to travel the world!—“
“take a damn vacation!”
“that’s not the point, oh my god!”
you pant slightly before covering your face behind your glasses with your hands. you took a moment to gather yourself, to bring back the ‘you’ that you worked so hard to create for this stupid job. you lost all of that in this moment, and it felt like the two of you reverted back to when it was all still new and fresh. the bickering and arguing and complaining—
“i want to live, sir. i want to enjoy life. i went out with my friends a couple days ago and it was fun—i hadn’t done that in years,” you chuckle dryly.
“in all these five years, i focused on my work; i focused on you.”
his eyes slightly widen, as if slowly realizing that you were right. you’ve always tended to everything that was related to him. he would sometimes notice that you would even sleep on your breaks. he didn’t bother with changing anything because you changed yourself for it, and because of that, you probably grew tired of it. tired of him.
you’ve spent five long years dedicated to him, and was too content with your presence to even realize that if you left, it would never be the same again. you knew everything about him, how he liked his coffee, how he liked to organize, how he liked to dress, how he liked to relax, his favorite food to calm him down, and even his favorite fucking shoe brand. but he barely knew anything about you. sure, he knew how to do your coffee, but that’s only because he watched you make it one time. you didn’t talk about your personal life, your feelings, when you were at work (it was work, after all).
but still, he felt like he took you for granted.
again, it was silent. neither of you broke it, your eyes were locked on each other as the both of you waited for the other to speak with bated breath. after a while, bakugou clicks his tongue and closes his eyes.
“do whatever the fuck ya want. ya don’t have to join me later tonight, go rest.”
you didn’t reply—not like he wanted to when he turned his attention back on the papers on his desk. you bowed your head before walking back to your own desk, already planning on putting up the role on a site to find good candidates to be bakugou’s assistant.
“what’s up with you, bro?” kirishima asks as he puts on arm around and on top of bakugou’s shoulder. the blond grumbles, his annoyance extremely apparent on his face, which made kirishima even more curious and concerned.
after yesterday, bakugou took a quick glance at his schedule and cancelled meetings for the day. he practically forced you to take the day off. he was due for patrol later tonight, so he, surprisingly, told kirishima to come over. he’s slowly regretting it.
“fuck off ‘f me,” he mutters with little venom in his tone, but still shrugging off the arm on his shoulder.
“is it your secretary?”
bakugou’s head whips around to face kirishima. he squints his eyes and, once again, scowls. kirishima sighs and pats his back. “c’mon, you can tell me.”
“… she wants t’ quit.”
kirishima accidentally pats his back a little too hard after hearing that. “OI!”
“sorry! sorry! i just—i didn’t expect that…,” kirishima says, smiling sheepishly and rubbing the nape of his neck.
“what did ya expect?” bakugou grumbles.
“y’know, you’re finally admitting to yourself that you like her.”
“what the fuck are ya talkin’ about!?” bakugou throws a cushion right to his face. kirishima lets out a slight yelp and pouts as he hugs the pillow
“bro, it’s obvious!”
“i don’t have any feelings for her, shitty hair,” he spat, glaring daggers at his red-haired best friend.
kirishima sighs deeply as he scratches the back of his head. “don’t you realize the only reason why she’s the only secretary you’ve had for so long is because she practically pushes through all of your bullshit? and because of that, you basically don’t have anything to complain about and have it as a reason to push her away.”
this is another one of those moments where kirishima would keep him grounded, where he’d talk some sense into him. for how proud bakugou can be, it blinds him too much sometimes and kirishima’s the only one who practically smacks him back into reality. kirishima knows that deep down, bakugou needs someone to ground him. he wasn’t as bad as he was when they were still students at UA, but he was still quite headstrong.
“you told me before again and again how personal assistants were too annoying to deal with because you already had your own way of handling things, but she was able to do it all and more.”
“the only reason i kept her around was because she knew how i worked. i don’t want to have to teach another new fuckin’ person my standards.”
“then tell her she should do it.”
“she already said she will.”
kirishima raised an eyebrow. “… then why are you so worked up over it?”
bakugou only grumbles, turning his head away from kirishima, as if feigning ignorance. kirishima had to hold back in a snort so as to not annoy the short-tempered man beside him.
“and you keep telling me you don’t like her, huh?”
bakugou doesn’t reply. kirishima sighs before standing up and walking over to the mini-fridge bakugou has in the living room. he grabs two beers and tosses the other one to bakugou. he catches it swiftly, opening it up with no hesitation. this practically proved to kirishima that he’s stressing out over losing you. he knows his friend more than enough to know that when he doesn’t complain of drinking ‘too early’, something is amiss.
“why don’t you go on and take her out to dinner?”
“are you fuckin’ insane—“
“just do it, man. go to a nice restaurant! you can do other stuff too, just tell her it’s your way of thanking her for those five years. you can’t exactly force her to stay, that’d be messed up. so just, y’know…,” kirshima shrugs. “show her how grateful you are.”
kirishima plops down beside bakugou and takes a big gulp of his beer. “no matter how much you wanna try to deny it, you like her. this is practically a wake up call for you to make a move on her before you lose her to someone else.”
“you fuckin’—“
“don’t try to deny it, man. i know that you know that i know you better than anyone else. it’s why you invited me over in the first place.”
bakugou doesn’t try to retort this time. he can’t, anyway, not when kirishima’s right.
“i’m—i’m sorry?”
“dinner. tonight.”
you blinked. you blinked again, and again. it’s been a few days after you announced that you’d be quitting. he was distant for a while too, so him telling you that he wanted to have dinner with you tonight obviously shocked you.
he just stares at you and waits. tick tock tick tock goes the clock. he clicks his tongue and turns his head away as he feels his embarrassment creeping up on him. “if you’re too busy or you just don’t wanna, that’s fine too.”
“no, it’s fine. i just, um, didn’t expect it from you… is it—is it work related?”
he fully turns away, making you look at his back. he was in full hero gear because he was going out for patrol for the afternoon. you quirk an eyebrow, confused enough with his sudden behavior, but your eyes widen when you realize his ears had a pinkish hue to them. ‘was he blushing?’ now this just made you even more confused.
“i wanted to thank ya for the five years… for puttin’ up with an asshole like me.”
the way he said it sounded different from how he usually is. it was like he was trying hard to find the right words with how he spoke slowly, deliberate. you’ve never heard, or even seen him, like this before. it was… endearing?
“ya don’t hafta find another assistant, i’d much rather work on this shit by myself.”
“i doubt you can. after all, you have been relying on me for the past five years.” it can be interpreted as you teasing him, but you also kinda did say it like it’s a fact. and, well, it is.
bakugou huffs, he was ready to retort, but stopped himself from doing so. he walked towards the door instead; he didn’t really want to ruin the mood today and for tonight, he’d rather just let you be.
“i’ll pick ya up at eight, go on ahead an’ clock out at two, there’s not much to do today anyway. that ‘nuff time for ya t’ get ready?”
you just hummed in response as you scroll through the list of candidates carefully. “it is.”
you were nervous. so nervous that you were ready two hours before the actual time of him picking you up. how could you not be nervous? he already told you that the dinner wasn’t work related. he wanted to thank you for your service, and yet it felt like something more was there. why else would he turn around as if he was embarrassed? as if he knew he wouldn’t be able to hide his feelings?
wait. his feelings? there shouldn’t be anything, right? it would be sudden anyway, you’re sure of it. that’s what you keep telling yourself as you scroll through your instagram account. one picture caught your attention: it was the one where he invited you to one of the events he attends for the first time. you smiled politely at the cameras with your hand on his bicep, it made you chuckle how awkward looking you looked back then. you didn’t think anything was odd when you first posted this, but when you inspected it once more… bakugou was looking at you.
your heart skipped a bea—
NO. no way. no fucking way. no shot.
you saw this picture before, but why did it feel different now?
you closed instagram and stood up from your couch, gently tossing your phone on it. you paced around the coffee table, arms crossed against your chest. you were probably just overthinking things, probably just overcomplicating shit for yourself. it didn’t mean anything, he probably just didn’t want to look at the cameras and they just got the perfect shot where he’s looking at you—
you grabbed your phone and plopped down on your couch with a heavy sigh. you opened instagram again, this time you were on his account. you scrolled through his pictures as you hug one of your cushions. this was insane. why were you scrolling through his instagram? it wasn’t like you were gonna find something else to feed your assumptions—
oh. one of his posts had a couple of pictures that were just you. you and no one else. all those pictures were of you laughing and smiling. this post was when there was a fun little event for agencies and their heroes and staff to have fun. the pictures weren’t all you, but there was enough that made your mind get all messed up with unrelenting thoughts.
but there was one post that nailed it in the coffin for you. it was one picture of the sunset, but on the bottom right of the photo, there was a silhouette of a woman. it was dark enough that it wasn’t obvious it was you, but you know it was.
the caption?
beautiful.
you closed out of the app.
why were you having assumptions anyway? it’s not like you like him in that way. you never really thought about it, too busy meeting with his demands. you never thought of him in any other way other than him being your boss, and why would you? he was a stubborn ass who always tried to find something to tell you off about. this shouldn’t change anything, it’s just dinner with him. it’s not like you haven’t eaten with him before. it’s just dinner.
nothing more, nothing less.
bakugou has never been this nervous his entire life. he didn’t know why he was nervous, it was just dinner with you. it’s not like this was any different from eating lunch with you at work. so why the hell did he feel so antsy? like he couldn’t shake this shit off of him.
(he knows why, but like you, he doesn’t want to admit it.)
he was parked right in front of your place. he taps on the steering wheel while he stares at your front door. he shakes his head after a few moments, grumbling incoherent words to himself. his mind suddenly goes back to all the things kirishima told him a few days ago, it was all repeating in his mind over and over again. he grits his teeth before clicking his tongue in annoyance, checking his wrist watch for the time.
7:58PM
he leans back on the headrest and closes his eyes as if to mentally prepare himself. what for? he doesn’t know (he’s scared he might look like a fool in front of you).
he gets out of his car and walks towards your front door, taking a moment before pushing the button on the intercom.
“who is it?”
“it’s me.”
not even a second later, you opened the door. and god you looked fucking gorgeous. you wore a pretty little black off-shoulder dress that went down below your knees, your hair was styled perfectly, and your make-up made you look like an angel. he liked how you still wore your glasses even when you dresses up all fancy and pretty.
“sir?”
he shakes his head slightly to snap back to reality. “bakugou. bakugou’s just fine. we aren’t at work anyway,” he states absentmindedly.
“you… you look nice. beautiful.” he murmurs before quickly turning away and walking towards his car. “c’mon.”
you follow him quietly, your fingers gently pushing up your glasses. the walk to his car felt way too long for some reason, long enough for you to shoot a glance at his ears, wanting to see if they changed to a certain hue. a corner of your lips quirked upwards when his ears were in fact, pink.
bakugou opens the passenger front car door for you, all the while avoiding eye contact. you thank him softly as you bend down to get in the car. you try to make yourself comfortable, fidgeting around the car seat as bakugou goes on to get in the driver’s seat.
“before we go on ahead, i wanted to… give you something…” this was the second time he talked slowly, hell you’d even say softly, to you. you were too busy staring at him that you didn’t notice him reaching out to open the glove compartment and taking out a dark red velvet box.
bakugou shows the box to you and opens it slowly. it was a bracelet—a ruby and diamond bracelet to be precise. it was intricately designed and it looked so delicate, so elegant. the rubies were cut like teardrops while the diamonds were cut rounder, six rubies circled around one diamond, forming a tiny flower. it repeats all around, and it danced around the warm light of the car, shimmering like the stars above. you couldn’t help but let out a gasp with one hand hovering over your mouth.
“sir—bakugou, you didn’t have to—“
“none of that shit.” he tutted as he gently grabs the bracelet out of the box. he motions for you to lift up your hand while he unclasps the bracelet. you can’t help but catch how bakugou katsuki looked small, which is probably an insane thing to say, but you couldn’t find any other word to describe how he looked right now.
he was waiting for you to lift up your hand, but his eyes still haven’t made contact with your own. you swear to yourself that he looked like he was pouting, in a sense. his shoulders slumped, his head slightly lowered, he looked as if he wanted to make himself look small. bakugou katsuki is a proud man who is sure of himself most of the time, so seeing him like this—so vulnerable and even shy, it was enough to surprise you.
you finally lift up your hand, palm facing upwards. he wordlessly snakes the bracelet around your wrist, fastening it with ease. he watches you admiring it; took note of your eyes getting bigger, even seemed like they were shining prettily.
after a moment, you finally looked at him, and thankfully this time, he doesn’t look away from you. he notices the shy smile forming on your face as you bow your head slightly. you opened your mouth and said:
“thank you…”
in the softest way imaginable.
he mumbles a ‘yer welcome’ as he turns the keys to his car, letting it start to life.
he drove for about thirty minutes, and the whole ride was slightly awkward, but bearable. bakugou put all his focus on the road, and you were just looking out without really thinking of a way to start a new conversation with him—not that he minded all that much. when you finally arrived, he told you to stay put when he saw you gathering yourself to get out the car. he quickly gets out and speed walked his way to your car door, stretching out a hand for you to take.
now you’re the one who keeps avoiding his eyes.
you take his hand and get out, clutching your purse tightly as a way to ground yourself to what’s happening. though you’re out of the car, he hasn’t let go of your hand, he actually holds it tighter as he led you to the restaurant.
it was so quiet between the two of you now. silence wasn’t all that uncommon, you would be too busy focusing on your work to talk to him, and he’d be busy with his own. when you managed to practically surprise him with how well you work as his personal assistant, everything was peaceful. the only time it went back to the way it was was when you told him of your plans of quitting.
but it was back to quiet after that. the one the two of you were more than familiar with. but this quiet? this silence? it’s different, it has tension.
bakugou talks with the host for the reservation he made for the both of you, your hand still in his grasp. after a few moments, the host tells the both of you to follow them so they can lead the way.
the host leads you to your table which was located pretty deep into the area. it was much more secluded, something bakugou would definitely pick out. the host tells you to take your seats while they go and get two menus for your table.
“where d’ya wanna sit?”
“anywhere’s fine,” you murmur, too busy with gawking at how your table looks so pretty and different from the others. the cloth had a different type of fabric that had all sorts of intricate patterns sewn on it. the table mats were rectangular in shape, with flowers sewn in on the corners. to the plates, the glasses, even the flowers that sat prettily on the center of the table seemed to you as if this was all meticulously planned.
or maybe you’re just thinking too much into it again—
“if you’re wonderin’ why our table is different… i made a request,” bakugou ushers you to walk towards the seat in front of you. he pulls the chair back, lifting it slightly so as to not make a sound, motioning for you to sit down with a tilt of his head. you walk in front of him, bending down as he pushes the chair gently towards you.
“looks like you put a lot of thought into it.” you watch him walk around the table to sit down in front of you.
“i did. wanted ya to like it,” he says as he sits down.
“so… do you?” he looks at you with eyes that tell you ‘i hope you do’. he looked like he was a little nervous to hear what you think. you smile and nod your head and watch him exhale, as if he’d forgotten how to properly breathe. how come he's become easier to read now?
“here are the menus,” the host pops up from behind you and hands the both of you menus. they guide you with the dishes within the menu and mention their specials to help you out with what you want to order. after a few more moments, they leave you in the hands of a server.
“order anythin’ ya like, alright?”
dinner was… surprisingly nice.
bakugou made it clear before, and way more clear now that this dinner wasn’t about him trying to get on your good side to get you to stay as his personal assistant. all of this was simply because he wanted to.
while eating, he asked you about your plans, and he listened carefully. you went on to tell him about the book café you’d been planning, but with no plans of rushing in to it. your first goal was to explore, live life to the max; travel to different countries and party to your heart’s content. he didn’t reply much, but he made sure that you knew he was listening with how he kept looking at you.
time passed by like it was nothing. the appetizer was good, the main meal was delicious, the desert made you feel like you were in heaven with how light it felt in your mouth. the two of you kept chatting on (mainly you) until you needed to leave.
there was one thing you noticed before leaving the restaurant.
when the two of you stood up from you chairs, bakugou walked around the table and right towards your side. he tried to subtly eye your hand, and you watched him as he stretched out his own before telling you to follow him out. you almost wished he took your hand in his.
now back in his car, he wasted no time in starting up the car and drove away from the restaurant. you closed your eyes and leaned your head against the headrest of your seat, trying to process everything that happened tonight. you couldn’t help but admit that you did enjoy it, every single thing. from the bracelet, to the arranged table, to the food, to how attentive he was to you…
“hey, you okay?”
his voice snaps you back to reality, making you immediately open your eyes. you turn to look at him and chuckle softly.
“i am, don’t worry.”
bakugou let out a long exhale, like he was relieved.
“did ya… enjoy it?”
you turned your head away to face the window, smiling to yourself as you watch buildings and city lights pass by.
“i did, a lot.”
the rest of the ride was silent, only broken through once bakugou suggested that you play some music. even with the melodies, the both of you were still quiet. but it wasn’t uncomfortable or awkward, it was… nice. good.
arriving at your place, bakugou still didn’t miss the chance to go and open the car door for you. he walks you to your front door, hands in his pockets and his head hanging low. you glanced at him, and he looked as if he was deep in thought. his brows were slightly furrowed together, and his lips formed a small pout. how cute…
“bakugou?”
“yeah?”
he turns his head to look at you, there wasn’t anything special about it, he was only looking at you like how he was earlier, but—
you think it made your heart flutter.
“thank you, for tonight. i… i really appreciate it.”
he merely shrugs in response, but you can see how shy he is. the pink hue on the tips of his ears, his back was slightly slouched, and that pout still wasn’t wiped off of his face. he really was just wearing his heart out on his sleeve.
you walk towards him, inching closer bit by bit. your hands were behind your back, clutching your purse. you murmur for him to lean down slightly, and he does so with no hesitation. you whisper for him to take care, and before he knew it, you kissed his cheek and ran away, unlocking your door quickly and closing it with a SLAM!
what the fuck just happened?

Satoru Gojo x reader, Megumi Fushiguro x reader(platonic),
Summary- “Fushiguro, you didn’t tell me your mom is a total milf.”
Warnings- Yuji being a teenage boy Megumi is a mommas boy

Ever since Yuji heard the man he would come to know as Satoru Gojo said the words to Fushiguro at the school.
“I got an earful from the higher-ups ‘cause the special grade cursed object’s still missing, then your mother found out and I got an earful from her.”
Then when he was tied up Gojo kept mentioning his wife and how she helped him suspend his execution for the time being.
Yuji was even more interested in this woman who was Fushiguros mom and Satoru Gojo’s wife. I mean that would mean Fushiguro is Gojo’s son but he looks nothing like Gojo(besides maybe the hairstyle) and he doesn’t call him Dad. Hmm, maybe he looked more like his mom?
He walked onto the school grounds with Satoru next to him. Sukuna made an appearance on his cheek then his hand. But as Satoru explained Sukuna, Yuji’s eyes landed on a woman at the top of the stairs. She was talking on the phone and staring at her nails. She wore dark expensive-looking sunglasses, a pair of jeans, sandals, and a tank top. He could also tell she was foreign.
“WIFEY!” Satoru yelled out beside him and ran towards the woman. The woman hung up her phone and opened her arms out for Satoru. He spun her around in the air and then smashed their lips together. He placed her on the ground and she pushed against his chest gently to pull away. “What are you doing here? I thought you weren’t going to be back for another day.”
She scoffed and crossed her arms and Yuji watched the sorcerer in front of her pout.
“My son got sent on a mission to retrieve the finger of Ryomen Sukuna and got badly hurt in the process. Of course, I had to come.”
So this is his mom. She looks nothing like him either but I gotta say, she is one hot piece-
“So this is Sukunas vessel?” They had turned their attention to him and Yuji was staring directly at Gojo’s wife.
“Before we start talking, Yuji, this is my wife Y/n L/n. She's a special-grade sorcerer just like me!”
Whatever that means, nobody’s explained this grading stuff to me yet
“Yuji Itadori. A pleasure to meet you.” She gave him a bow and he did the same back. “How do you feel?” Her face softened and she took two steps down to inspect him.
“Um fine, I guess, considering everything.”
“Good, good. And you can control Sukuna at will?”
“Mhmm.”
She’s so hot
“I'm flattered Itadori.” She says with amusement and the boy looks at her horrified.
“Huh!?” He blushed heavily and shook his head. “I'm so sorry! Wait, how did you know that!?”
“Oh yeah, Y/n’s technique is telepathy. So my girl can read your mind, control your mind, mess with your mind, and destroy it.” He said and kissed her cheek.
“Cool! Sorry about that though.” He scratched the back of his head and laughed awkwardly.
“It's okay, Itadori.” Yuji’s blush hadn’t gone away and just burnt harder. “Well I'm going to go check on Megumi, I’ll see you two later.” Both guys watched her go.
“Whoah,” Yuji says and Satoru nods.
“I know right.”
-
“Megumi?” You knocked on his door and received no answer. You opened the door and saw him curled up in deep sleep. You smiled softly and approached his bed. You leaned over him and kissed his cheek, making him twitch but he relaxed. You sat in the chair in the corner and brought your feet up.
Megumi slept for another solid 10 minutes before waking up. You set your phone down and smiled.
“Hey Gumi, how are you feeling?” You sat on the edge of his bed and rubbed his shoulder.
“Mom, what are you doing here?” He asks, sounding extremely tired.
“I had to come check on you.”
“Mmph.” He sat up and groaned.
“You should keep resting.”
“My head hurts.”
“All the more reason to.”
The loud voices of Yuji and Satoru cut you off. Megumi's face hardened and he threw the sheets off his body. He opened the door and at the same time, Yuji and Satoru walked out of Yuji's new room.
“You’re next door?”
“Hey, Fushiguro!” You slipped past Megumi and walked to stand by Satoru. “Wow. You look all better now!”
“There are lots of other rooms, you know?” Megumi says with a scowl.
“Don’t be like that Gumi’, this can be good for you.” You say trying to convince him but he crosses his arms. Yuji walked up to Megumi and leaned towards him.
“Fushiguro, you didn’t tell me your mom is a total milf.” Yuji whispers to him. Megumi's eyes widened and left eye twitched.
“Huh!? Wh-Why would you say something like that!” Megumi whacked Yuji on the back.
“Ow! I mean it's true, and that ass though. She could put Jennifer Lawernce to shame.”
“STOP IT!”
“Boys, everything okay?”
“Yes, Mrs. Gojo!” Itadori says with a bright smile. While Megumi looked like he was going to blow a fuse. You look at them in confusion but turn back to Satoru.
“That's my mom Itadori.”
“Hey, Mrs. Gojo. Are you a teacher here?” Yuji asks you and you shake your head.
“No, but I'll be sticking around.”
“Great!” Yuji thumbs up’s you.
“Hmph.” Megumi grunts and glares.
Sorry J Law but my type is Fushiguros mom now

“Oh, my little kikifuku is in there right now! I knew that position would work!”
“Satoru please.” You giggled and brushed your fingers through his hair. He just smiled and kissed around your belly even more.
“Y/n.” Shoko put her hand on your shoulder. “Promise me to take it easy, if what Gojo's mom said was true when she was pregnant with him is true. This pregnancy will take a lot out of you.” She squeezes your shoulder and grabs a towel to wipe your stomach.
“That was only because she was carrying the next six-eyed and infinity user. I have no intention of dying before my kid is born.” He kissed the side of your head and grabbed your white haori from the hook. You sat up in the bed and Satoru grabbed your shoes to slip onto your feet.
“Come on baby, we have to tell everyone the news!”
You say your goodbyes to Shoko but not before she hands you a roll of ultrascan photos. Satoru took it from your hands and held it up.
“Our baby.”
“Before we tell everyone, our first baby should know first.” You slipped your arm into his. “But first you need to meet with Itadori and Nanami.” He sighed and kissed the side of your head.
“Please go straight to where everyone is meeting.”
“Sir yes sir.” You saluted and he laughed. He kissed the top of your head then bent down to kiss your belly.
“Don’t give your momma a hard time.”
-
Megumi saw you first and his legs were already taking him towards you. You welcomed him with open arms and he accepted it. His arms loosely wrap around your upper back.
“Are you okay?”
“Mhm.” He pulled back. “Are you? You’ve been sick.”
“I'm okay, but me and Satoru have something to tell you later though.” Megumi frowned(more) but nodded in acknowledgment. But he also couldn’t deny that it made him nervous.
“Y/n!” Utahime shrieked and started running towards you. Your eyes widened and you opened your arms for the woman.
“Utahime!” Megumi stepped to the side and let you two hug.
“How are you?” She pulled back and kept you at arm's length. “You’re glowing.”
“We all glow.”
“Yours is different though.” She squinted at you. “I can’t put my finger on it, it's more natural.” You just had to laugh awkwardly.
“Where’s your husband?” Yaga interrupted, he stood by Principle Gakuganji.
“Oh he’s taking care of some things, he’ll be here shortly.” You assured him with a smile. And it wasn't long after that when said man appeared running with a cart.
“Sorry for the wait!” From there everything happened so quickly. All with the not-so-grand or happy announcement of Yuji’s return. Megumi looked at you and Satoru then back at his no longer dead friend.
You could only give him a sheepish smile and a nod.
“What kind of plan was that Satoru?”
“It was better in my head.” He shrugged and tossed an arm over your shoulder. “Nanamin knows.” you rolled your eyes and threw your head back.
“Satoru, we agreed Megumi would know first.”
“I know I know but he was right there.” He bent down to whisper in your ear. “And the ultrasound picture was burning a hole in my pocket baby.” You rolled your eyes but smiled nonetheless. “He congratulates us and says he feels bad already for our baby.”
“Don’t listen to him, our baby will be lucky to have you.”
“Of course they will, and they’re going to know it because-.” You cut him off immediately.
“Because you’re Satoru Gojo, yes my love we know.” He pouted and poked you in the cheek.
“Meanie.”
“Mom?” Megumi walked up to you two, hands shoved in his pockets. You bit your inner lip and waited for what was to come. “Did you know about Itadori?”
“I did, Satoru told me. Please know we had to keep it a secret.” Megumi swallowed hard and shrugged.
“Yeah, I think I do. I'm not mad.” You let out a sigh of relief. “What did you guys want to tell me?”
“Later Megumi,” Satoru says and the slight seriousness in his voice sparked a bit of anxiety in Megumi. “Find us in my office once you talk strategy with your team.” The onyx-haired boy nodded and walked back to the Tokyo squad. Fists clenched in his pockets.
-
Megumi was quiet most of the time, only saying something here and there. But his knee wouldn’t stop bouncing and his heart wouldn’t stop racing at an abnormal rate.
What if you two were getting a divorce? No that can’t be it, you two were happy… or were you? What if it's an act?
Are you leaving the Jujutsu society? Is Gojo? No, he wouldn’t leave now of all times.
Were you sick? Like dying sick? You’ve been so tired lately.
Was it Tsumiki? No, there is no way either of you would hold information related to that.
Was it the Zenin clan? Did something happen and they were taking him?
Were you two leaving Japan forever and leaving him and Tsumiki behind?
Too many questions ran through his head and none of them were positive.
“Fushiguro, are you okay?” Itadori asks him with concern.
“Yeah, I'm okay, just thinking.”
“Anything to contribute to us?” Maki asks with hands on her hips.
“It won’t help, now can we finish this?”
-
The whole time to Gojo’s office, Megumi was trying to suppress the urge to cry.
No more bad news, please
He stood in front of the door with his fists clenched.
“Megumi. We can see you.” Gojo says from behind the bamboo door. Megumi's cheeks turned pink and he slid the door open.
You sat with your legs crossed in Gojo’s comfy expensive chair while Gojo stood behind you with a hand on your shoulder.
“Hey,” Megumi says and stands awkwardly.
“Do you want to sit?”
“Are you guys getting a divorce?” Megumi said instantly and you furrowed your eyebrows and Satoru let out a laugh.
“As if.” The man says and kisses the top of your head.
“It's good news Gumi’, trust me.” He swallowed hard and grabbed a chair to sit in.
“O-Okay.” He folded his hands in his lap and tightened his jaw.
“We found something out this morning when we went to Shoko, and we thought it was only right that you knew first besides Shoko herself and-.” You paused and tilted your head back to glare at Satoru. The man laughed nervously and scratched the back of his neck. “Anyways Megumi I’m-.”
“YOU’RE GOING TO BE A BIG BROTHER!” Satoru screamed, animated sparkles and lights shot behind him as he pumped his fists in the air.
Megumi was stunned and his face turned into a look of shock.
“Oh!? That’s great guys. I'm happy.” He says and he starts blinking rapidly. It was the same action he did when he was struggling not to cry. Mom mode was instantly activated and you stood up to go to him but Megumi stood up as well and held his hand out to stop you. “No it’s okay, I'm fine.” He wiped his eyes and his head hung low.
“Oh, Megumi.” He didn’t resist the hug.
“Happy tears, they’re happy tears I swear.” He says and buries his face into the crook of his neck. “How far along are you?”
“Almost two months.” You say lowly to him and kiss the side of his head.
“Family hug!” Satoru threw his weight over both of you and pulled you guys in tight. Megumi made no act to shove the man away, instead raised his hand and grasped Satoru’s wrist in a tight hold.
“You and Tsumiki will always be our first kids. Please don’t ever forget that.”

True to his word, Sukuna has started coming over to see the baby– every single fucking day. People would think you’d at least feel a little happy over it, since you're getting extra help and all, but this man is going to drive you nuts.
And he doesn’t even do anything that bad, it’s just the subtle pettiness from him that’s starting to build up over time. You’re stressed enough from work as is, it doesn’t help when Sukuna comes over in the afternoon with a bag of donuts and makes it a point to tell you there’s not enough for you, when:
There’s absolutely more than enough donuts to share with you.
You never asked or wanted any in the first place.
Sayomi’s not even supposed to have sweets before she turns one.
But oh well, at least now you know she’s not allergic to donuts. The visits aren’t ever too long, they’re usually a couple hours at most, with the shortest one being 5 minutes when Sukuna had come by to say good morning before going to training.
Today’s a huge change from the usual visits, he’s watching Yomi for an entire 8 hours. After finding out you had a nanny come by during the weekdays, he was able to convince you to let him take over on Tuesdays. Bless his heart, he has no idea how fast that little girl’s mood changes when she gets tired.
Lunchtime is usually her nap time and unfortunately, you end up running a little late to go downstairs and see her due to a last minute meeting. By the time 1:00 pm rolls around, you can hear your daughter wailing downstairs, accompanied by the sounds of Sukuna doing his best to calm her down.
Nothing works, she wants you right now and he doesn’t know that since you haven’t really warned him about her record breaking meltdowns just yet. A part of you is genuinely scared for when she becomes an angsty teenager, you’ll probably put yourself in therapy to deal with it.
He panics slightly when you step into the living room, hoping you didn’t think he did anything to make her cry as hard as she is right now.
“She just freaked out on me, I tried giving her a bottle too but she won’t take it— nothing works.” He immediately begins to defend himself. You just barely hear him through her cries.
“Yeah, she turns into a little demon when she’s tired and wants the boob.” You calmly say while plucking her out of his arms and taking a seat on the couch. He’s amazed at how silent the room became once you started feeding her, he didn’t think it would end at some point and almost wanted to sob with her.
Now she’s back to being a little angel— must be something she got from you.
“You uh— you don’t have to do that you know.” He mumbles, making some awkward hand gesture at the baby blanket that you’re covering yourself with.
You scoff and shoot him a disgusted look.
“What? She’s my kid too.” He says in defense. “Not like I haven’t sucked on your ti—“
“Don’t finish that fucking sentence.” You cut him off.
“Okay.” He immediately gives up. He’s been enjoying pushing your buttons but knows when to stop, now's the perfect time. “So uhh… my brother’s been wanting to meet her. He wants to meet you too.”
“Oh god is he gonna try to grill me too?”
“Nah. He’s really nice, just wants to meet his niece and her mother.” He assures you. “I figured it’d be a good way to start getting her involved in my life, introducing her to everyone and all. Yorozu’s been asking to meet her too.”
“You want my daughter to meet your plaything?” The sly remark slips through your tongue before you even realize how bitter you sound.
“Girlfriend, actually.” His words stung, especially when he began to laugh in your face. It’s not long until he deadpans and crouches down to meet you at eye level. “Let’s get one thing straight— don’t fuckin’ sit here and act like I played you and broke your heart. I never even tried to get with anyone else when we were fucking each other, so you don’t get to make your little passive aggressive comments when it was you that didn’t want me.”
“Get out of my fuckin’ face Sukuna.”
“Get your head out of fuckin’ your ass.” He quickly retorts, but does find it in himself to respect your personal space and take a step back.
This usually happens whenever you’re in a room with him for longer than 20 minutes— the arguments, taking jabs at each other. You two cussed each other out just a few days ago after putting the baby down for her nap. But it usually ends with a quick apology, always from him, never from you. Everything goes back to normal just as fast as it goes downhill.
The tension in the room ends up getting cut by Yomi’s light snores, bringing you both back to reality. You both honestly forgot she was here for a moment because of how quiet she was and the fact that she was hidden under a blanket.
“She’s knocked out.” He holds back a laugh at how easy it was to get her to stop crying. “Alright, give her back.”
“Don’t you want to take a break and eat or something?” Your voice finally softens. He’s a little surprised that you’re taking his well-being into consideration right now, especially after you told him you hoped he broke both of his legs just last week.
“I’m good— I was eating some of her snacks with her earlier.”
“That’s disgusting.” You grimace, ruining what could’ve finally been a sweet moment between you two.
“You’re just a picky eater.”
“Am not.”
“Most people would eat whatever’s offered to them after getting their brains fucked out for hours on end, yet you still used to find the time to pick out restaurants and which entrees you wanted.” He doesn’t fail to bring your old sex life back up. You don’t know why he does it, especially when he claims to have a girlfriend. You just chalk it up to him being an asshole, it somewhat makes you feel better over hiding from him all this time.
“That was two years ago.” You try to defend yourself.
“Yeah? Wanna head up to your room and prove it?” He flashes the world's most smackable smile at you, paired with an evil little twinkle in his eyes. “Yomi’s gonna be knocked out for a good hour, I doubt she’ll hear us.”
That’s your queue to get the fuck away from him and go back to work.
“Take your daughter.” You scoff and hand the milk drunk child over. She fusses just a little bit when you set her into his arms, but she must’ve recognized who her father was and immediately settled down after he started to softly shush her.
He's always so surprisingly gentle with her, even his eyes soften when he looks at her. Couldn’t say the same for when he looks at you, his pupils may as well turn into slits.
“I’m going back to work, don’t bother me until I come back down.”
“Wasn’t planning on it.” He says, sounding very pleased with himself as he sat back down and put on something to watch while he waited for her to wake up.

Sukuna was able to set something up with his brother the following Sunday and you opted to walk the 20 minutes to his house rather than driving there. It’s more fun for Sayomi, she’s able to look around more and get some fresh air.
You reach the gate that leads to the street he lives on, enter the code he texted you, and wait for him to respond through the speaker.
“Took you long enough.” He immediately complains through the intercom.
“Did you think I’d actually run here?” You bite back, annoyed he couldn’t even say hi or hello. It’s gonna be a long day and you’re already regretting not making some excuse as to why you couldn’t come.
“Wait– you walked here?”
“Obviously.”
“Why?” He continues to question you, baffled over a reason you don’t really care to know.
“Because I felt like it, Sukuna. Now can you please open the gate.”
Without another word, the large gate begins to open and you immediately understand why the prices of the homes are astronomically higher than the rest in this neighbourhood. They were all beautiful, yet unique in their own right– with their very own gates. It’s kind of ridiculous, you don’t understand why someone would need that much security, especially someone like Sukuna. He’d probably end up robbing a burglar if he caught one snooping around his home.
You soon see him jogging up to you, meeting you both half way to his house.
“You could’ve driven here.” He says, taking over stroller duty since there's an incline on the walk up to his home. You know you’ve made some progress in your co-parenting relationship with him when you don’t even bat an eye at the way he blatantly checks you out before pushing the stroller.
“Relax Dad, it was only 20 minutes and she likes waving at her neighbors and their dogs.” You sarcastically say, he lets out a low laugh at the thought of her waving to everyone walking by.
“Thought I told you to call me Daddy?”
“Not doing that.” You immediately say before changing the subject. “Is your brother here yet?”
“Yeah, him and Yuji got here like 30 minutes ago.”
You hum in response, you weren’t too nervous on the way here, but the feeling starts to creep up on you the moment you get through his personal gate and finally see what his house looks like. It wasn’t bad when it was just him being around Yomi, but the thought of introducing her to more people was daunting. It made everything feel so much more real.
“Don’t look so nervous.” He pulls you out of your thoughts, Sukuna’s surprisingly intuitive sometimes. “I wasn’t kidding when I said my brother’s a nice person. The first thing he asked when I told him about you two was what did I do to piss you off. I haven’t talked shit about you in front of him either… yet.”
“Well thanks.” You mutter back to him. You two finally reach his front door and you pull Sayomi out of the stroller and hold her at your hips, sheepishly following behind her father.
“Daddy look!! A baby!” A little boy immediately yells out. “Her hair is pink like mine!”
“Yeah Yuj,” Sukuna smiles and chuckles at his nephew's sudden excitement. He was a sweet kid at the end of the day and already knew he didn’t have to worry about him being too rough with her. “This is your cousin, Sayomi.”
“Is she your baby?”
“Yes she’s my baby.” He nods at how quickly he put the two together without being walked through it.
Jin was quick to walk around them and introduce himself to you, just as excited as his son was. Sukuna was right, he was really sweet, it made you wonder if they were raised separately, because there’s no way in hell these two grew up together.
Sayomi however, was very confused and found herself looking back and forth between her dad and her uncle. She didn’t like it and cried for a good 20 minutes— refusing to even be held by her own father because she probably didn’t know what to believe at that point, poor girl.
Take the tattoos and beefiness away from Sukuna and he is Jin. You started lightly teasing your daughter to make her feel better and it somewhat worked. Sukuna was definitely offended though since it was at his expense.
You said all sorts of stuff to her, like how Jin was just Sukuna after a good shower. You and Jin got a good laugh out of that.
“M’kay I think that’s enough, yeah?” He grumbles, wiping a tear streak off his daughter's cheek because she’s a little crybaby. He scoops her up into his arms and begins to playfully scold her. “I’ve seen you everyday for almost 3 weeks now, you should know who I am.”
You and Jin talked for a little bit while Sukuna watched the two kids play. Nobody was worried about Yuji getting bored with her, he talked enough for the two of them and eventually started answering his own questions for her right after asking them.
Jin kept the conversation light and didn’t bother asking anything too personal, which you greatly appreciated. You’re sure someone will overstep one of these days and you’re glad today’s not one of them. He just kept it about the baby, asking all kinds of questions about her, from milestones to allergies.
“Do you have anything planned for her birthday?” He got around to asking, since it was two months away.
“Yeah, her actual birthday falls on a Thursday, so the party’s going to be on the following Saturday.” You say, reaching for the drink you ended up making for yourself. Sukuna tried to say something about you rummaging through his mini bar without permission, but ultimately let it go in hopes that you’d finally be nice to him. “Please feel free to come by the way. A lot of the neighborhood kids will be there too, I’m sure Yuji will make a ton of new friends.”
“Of course we’ll be there.” He smiles. Today’s going better than he had expected. He doesn’t have much of an opinion on what you did and why you chose to do it. His brother has a… strong personality. Whether he’s the good guy in this situation or not, no one’s actually surprised that something like this happened.
Well, except for Yorozu. She’s more than surprised, she’s pissed. But that’s a conversation for another day.
“I can invite some of my teammates right?” Sukuna finally cuts in and asks, after waiting for you to finish your drink.
“No.” You’re quick to tell him, and he looks like you just shot him in the heart. “We already talked about this, there’s not enough room for them either. You can invite them for her second birthday or something.”
“Whatever.” He waves you off and puts his attention back on the two kids. It was worth a shot, even if he did fail miserably at that.
Jin and Yuji finally leave around 8 when you finish eating dinner together. Even Sayomi surprisingly stayed up to eat with you all. You’re slowly introducing new foods to her, so Sukuna had the idea to overcook some spaghetti for her and she was obsessed. It also put her in a little food coma and made her fall asleep right after, which kinda sucked for you since it made the car ride back to your house extra quiet.
Silence with Sukuna was uncomfortable. There’s nothing to talk about when you’re not fighting over something stupid.
Not one word was uttered during the car ride. You’d be lying to yourself if you said you didn’t use your daughter as a shield from that discomfort, but it’s inevitable. You need to get used to it, this’ll be your life for the next 18 years.
He finally pulls up to your driveway. Despite it only being a less than a ten minute drive, it felt like it went on for forever.
“Thanks for giving us a ride back.” You avoid his gaze while you say it.
“Yeah.” He mutters, hoping you’d look at him, but you don’t. “Thanks for coming over and meeting some of my family.”
“Mhm.” You take off the seatbelt and hop out of his escalade, he unfortunately follows suit. The kid’s asleep but he’d damned if he still didn’t say bye.
“Need help getting her out?”
“Not really, but you can still do it and put her in her crib if you want.” You suggest. It gives him that little extra time he’s looking to have with her. If he didn’t want it, he wouldn’t have asked if you needed help in the first place.
He’s been good with her so far, so you didn’t feel the need to hover over him while he went upstairs. You didn’t even follow him and went to the kitchen instead to make yourself a cup of tea.
“Hey.” He finally comes back down after 10 minutes to let you know he was headed out, but then decides to try to have a civil conversation with you.
“Hey,” you turn around and see him leaning against the entryway. “Are you leaving?”
“In a minute– I wanted to talk to you about something.”
“Okay... over what?”
“The little fight we had over me wanting to introduce Yomi to my girlfriend.”
You let out a little laugh— it wasn’t a little fight, nor was it only once. “Which one? The one where you called me bitter and accused me of being jealous, or the one where you just straight up told me you were going to do whatever the hell you wanted?”
He had a feeling you’d say something like that. It was true, he said all those things in the heat of the moment, but he genuinely didn’t mean them. “Both. I know I said I was sorry right after, but I wanted to apologize again. I’ll back off from trying to introduce her to new people unless you say it's okay.”
You stare at him for a moment and wonder what’s gotten into him, but it all starts to make sense after realizing he probably saw you texting the guy you’ve been talking to earlier. Funny how when the tables turn, he starts to play nice. At one point during one of those fights, he got so mad that you genuinely thought he’d take you to court over custody.
“Alright.” You end up saying, there was no point in trying to argue with him any further. You got what you wanted, and that’s for him to respect your boundaries as a mother. Maybe you should’ve just told him about Suguru to begin with instead of letting him find out for himself. You set your cup down and cross your arms. “Thanks for the apology, I appreciate it.”
“Mhm.” He grows a little awkward. He’s not used to people thanking him for apologizing because he doesn’t apologize too often. He’s pretty sure this month is the most he’s apologized in his life too. All of the other times he has, you'd just ignore him or tell him to shut up, this is the first time you’ve actually accepted one. “You’d tell me if you were seeing anybody, right?”
You knew that was coming, but still have to take a moment to think about it. “If I wanted them to meet Sayomi, then yeah. If not, I don’t think it would be anyone’s business but my own.”
His eyes slightly darken and zero in on you after you say that. If anything, it’d be him who would be the jealous one, he’s already starting to show it from his physical reaction after the vague answer. “So if you were seeing someone right now, you wouldn’t tell me?”
“No.” You simply say right before taking a sip of your tea. “I’d only tell you if I started bringing him around her.”
“So you are seeing someone?” He asks, trying his best to decipher your words as if you were talking in fucking code. “You just said you’d tell me when you start to bring him around.”
“Hypothetically speaking.”
He ends up laughing rather darkly at that, he looks like he’s going to explode. While you’d rather not fight with him again, it’s kind of nice seeing him lose a part of his sanity over this, only because of how open he is about his relationship. You’re starting to think he brought her up in the first place to make you jealous after ghosting him.
He opens his mouth to say something, but you end up cutting him off.
“Anyways, it’s getting pretty late and I still have work in the morning.”
You’re feeling confident that if you stop the conversation here, there won't be any awkward tension when he comes back tomorrow. It doesn’t seem to work though, you can see the wheels turning in his head.
“Right. M’kay, I’ll see you tomorrow then.” He murmurs back, it sounds more like a threat than anything else, but you’ll deal with it tomorrow when you're a little more well rested.
He stays pretty civil, up until you begin to close the front door and you hear him grumble to himself while opening his car door. But once again, it’s not your problem for tonight.

As if Sukuna’s mood couldn’t get any worse, he comes home to a phone that has 23 missed calls and 18 text messages. Thank god he left his phone at home, you would’ve definitely found a way to use that against him. He takes a deep breath before calling Yorozu back, hoping to god she just fucking believes that he wasn’t doing anything wrong, even though not responding to her all day looks bad.
“Hey babe.” He says after she picks up, not even bothering to greet him. “It’s been a long ass day, I just got home.”
“I thought you said your brother and baby mama were visiting you.” She immediately tries to call him out, trying to catch him in a lie.
“They did. She just walked here with the kid, they all ended up staying longer than I thought they would so I ended up just driving them back.”
Yorozu’s not very trusting of him when it comes to you, especially when she already knew about you before he found out he had a child with you. She’s not even sure if Sukuna remembers it himself— getting absolutely plastered around 8 months ago, then going off on her because he was so drunk that he thought she was you.
He said a lot that night, from saying you broke his heart to begging you to take him back. It’s probably best he doesn’t know about that night either, that was a really low point for him.
He was just starting to get over you too, hence why he finally asked her if she wanted to make things official.
And now you’re back, ruining everything again.
"I bet you she only walked there just so you'd give her a ride back."

You should have known better than to tease Chuuya before a three hour long meeting. Normally, you wouldn’t sit next to him in the meeting, being Verlaine’s representative. The absent man’s seat was always across the table from Chuuya while Kouyou’s was next to the ginger. Outside of executive meetings you and Chuuya rarely interact while working, especially after Akutagawa took the position of overseeing the Black Lizard instead of Hirotsu reporting directly to Chuuya.
You had brazenly tossed your panties at him in the privacy of his office earlier in the morning, a pair of royal blue silk and lace high-cut underwear. You’d caught him eyeing you in the rare pencil skirt, something you only wear on days you know for certain you won’t be going into the field. You know that Chuuya’s favorite feature of yours is your legs. So, you thought you would pay him a visit — tease him a little. You were not disappointed by his reaction.
But now you’re paying for it as you sit right next to Chuuya at this crowded meeting table with not only the executives but with their second in command and even third in command. Mori isn’t here, doing some sort of damage control within the Armed Detective Agency’s President and the government. It was up to the executives to lead this meeting to figure out how to rebuild Yokohama after the devastation that Ame-no-Gozen brought onto the city.
You’re almost two hours into the meeting and Chuuya’s gloved fingers are snuggly nestled in your drooling cunt. It started off as teasing of his own, leather gliding up and down the expanse of your inner thighs. You slapped his hand away a few times, trying desperately to pay attention to what Kouyou was saying but your self-control wilted at an alarming rate.
Chuuya easily hides the flexing of his arm underneath his coat that hangs over his shoulders. Every time he opens his mouth to add to the conversation your stomach twists is both excitement and fear. You try your best to keep your composure but Chuuya is relentless.
The ginger bullies his middle and ring finger into your cunt, stopping every time you even hint at fluttering around you.
You’re hunched over the table, the lower half of your face being concealed by your folded hands, hoping to god that you just appear to be really intrigued by whatever it is being discussed, when in reality you’re just crumbling under the touch of the man sitting beside you. Your concentration is fluctuating, you’re only getting bits and pieces of the solutions being shared and the opinions being bounced around. You’ve barely given any input yourself, which was a shame considering you had planned on contributing to this meeting at least once.
You can hear the faint sound of his fingers sliding in and out of you and you hope once again that Akutagawa, who is sitting on your other side, can’t hear it. The way his body is stiffer than normal, jaw so taught it looks painful, tells you otherwise. Your thighs involuntarily squeeze in desperation to quiet the noise and you have to work double time to suppress a gasp when Chuuya slots his leg between yours and pries your legs back open.
You’re close again, eyes burning with unshed tears you’re desperately trying to hold back. Everything is buzzing, your chest is heaving, your stomach is in knots and your head is vibrating. You can’t tell if it’s hot in this room or if the dampness you feel underneath you on the seat is your slick pooling in the chair.
You subtly move your index finger between your teeth to keep your mouth occupied with something so you don’t make any noise.
You’re going to get caught in a room full of the Port Mafia’s most important members getting finger fucked by a man who is not supposed to be touching you, per Verlaine’s personal request. Just as you’re about to let the taut cord in your lower abdomen snap, Chuuya removes his hand completely, causing you to shiver from the sudden loss of his warmth. You bite down on your finger harder, just barely catching the whimper clawing at your throat.
Chuuya loudly clears his throat and it catches everyone’s attention. “It’s been over three hours now, Kouyou. Don’t you think we should give everyone a break? Maybe we can revisit this tomorrow with less people, now that we’ve come up with a solid foundation of how we’re gonna fix this damn mess.”
Kuoyou stares at the other ginger for a moment before curtly nodding her head. “Fine, we’ll bring what we have to the Executives table tomorrow and finalize it with Mori.”
Chuuya slyly shoves his now ungloved hand in his pocket and rises to his feet, his head tilted as a way to point at you. “You can head out, she offered to help me clean up.”
Verlaine narrows his eyes at that statement, scrutinizing the two of you before letting it go and turning on his heel, probably going back to whatever hole he was allowed to crawl out of. You watch silently as everyone shuffles out in a hurry. You’re thankful for that, not wanting anyone to linger so you can finally compose yourself and actually clean up the mess Chuuya made.
Akutagawa lingers and you give him a puzzled expression but he’s not looking at you, his gaze set on the remaining executive. “You don’t have to stay, Chuuya-san. I can help clean up in your stead.”
Chuuya lets out an easy chuckle, completely unbothered by Akutagawa’s offer. “Nah, don’t worry about it and how many times do I gotta tell you? Drop the damn formalities, it’s just Chuuya. Now go, I’m sure Gin is waiting for you.”
At the mention of his sister, the Port Mafia’s Black-Fanged Hellhound no longer hesitates to round the table and walk out the double doors, pushing them to swing shut behind him. Despite the flimsy effort, the door doesn’t quite latch closed all the way, you can still see out into the now empty hallway from the slivered gap between the doors. This boardroom is in a far corner that people rarely visit. You know for a fact that no one will be coming by for at least an hour, maybe more, because this room was booked for five and a half hours.
Even so, when Chuuya bends you over the table and lifts your skirt up to bunch at your hips you let out a whine. “Chuuya- Wait…What if someone catches us?”
“Let them, not like they can do anything about it. Did you forget that I’m an executive?”
The gravity manipulator emphasizes his words by landing a harsh slap to your ass — immediately followed by him kneading and massaging the sore flesh. He repeats his actions on your other cheek and you finally let out a loud moan, losing all capability to hold them in any longer. Chuuya looms over you, leaning in and gingerly moving your hair to the side, his breath hot as it tickles the tip of your ear.
He grazes his teeth against the shell of your ear and you let out another noise, this one far more pathetic than the last as he simultaneously inserts his fingers back into your cunt. “That teach you to not tease me like that ever again, Doll? How’d it feel, huh? Knowing Akutagawa was aware of everything that was happening under this table? Could see how tight his pants were when he got up. Y’know, he has a little crush on you? It was cute how he tried to stop this from happening. Shoulda kept him here and let him watch as I fuck you dumb into this table.”
“Chuuya-” You let out a sharp gasp when his fingertips graze that sensitive spot, making your walls flutter around him already.
You spent hours pent up thanks to him and now that you were finally alone you pray he finally lets you cum. Luckily for you, your prayers are heard. Chuuya quickens his ministrations and brushes his index finger against your clit messily.
Your mouth falls open and a string of moans flow out as your walls tighten around Chuuya. The taut cord in your abdomen finally snaps and you’re seeing stars before your vision goes completely white. Your ears feel plugged, everything sounding like you're inside of a long tunnel. You feel something wet running down your chin and you distantly think it might be your own drool. You collapse onto the table, but you don’t get much time to think because you’re being yanked up by a pair of strong arms.
“We’re not done yet, you still got at least one more in you, yeah?” Chuuya litters kisses across your jawline and brings his hand up to your mouth. “Suck.”
You’re barely lucid enough to understand what he’s saying but you get the gist when he impatiently taps his fingers against your mouth. Pink and swollen lips warp around his middle and ring finger, then you peer back at him as you suck and twirl your tongue around the digits. You hum around his fingers in appreciation and the vibrations go straight to his dick that is now free from his pants and nestled between your thighs.
Chuuya removes his hands from your mouth when he’s sure you’ve cleaned all of your own juices off. When he takes his hand away he’s almost immediately bringing it back and stuffing something in your mouth you look down and your eyes widen — Your panties. He had kept them with him all day. Your eyes flutter at the thought and you can’t help but to press your ass into his hips.
The executive lets out a hum. “Since you’re so worried about getting caught. Can’t have anyone else hearing you now, can we, Baby?”
To keep you from removing the fabric from your mouth, he takes both your arms and holds them securely behind your back with one hand.
You moan but the noise gets lost in the fabric stuffed in your mouth. Chuuya smirks at your response and finally guides his cock to your entrance, bending you over the table again. When he sinks into your slick cunt, you both sigh out moans, his noises louder than yours since he can let them out freely. His hips stutter on their own and his free hand takes purchase on your hip so he can give himself a moment to ground his eager body.
“Shit, you’re s’fuckin’ warm and soft. God damn- Feel like ’m gonna cum already, the fuck are you doin’ to me, Doll?” The ginger’s head lolls back and he starts languidly thrusting in and out of you.
You whimper, trying to respond but resigned to simply look back at him with pleading eyes.
“Hah…Ok, ok. Don’t gimme that look, I got you.”
Chuuya’s pace picks up and it’s not long until his hips are slamming into you. The whole table rocks, loudly scraping against the marbled floors. You desperately try to keep yourself upright but one particularly harsh jostle has your core muscles loosening, giving out on you and you sink into the cold surface of the tabletop.
Muffled noises catch in your panties and Chuuya is letting out a string of curses. Your hips are twitching and thighs trembling from the oversensitivity and you’re embarrassingly close to cumming already. Though, from the way Chuuya’s hips are stuttering and losing their rhythm, you’d say he isn’t too far off either.
As if he can read your mind, Chuuya voices your suspicions. “Fuck, fuck, Doll. Gonna- shit- ‘m gonna cum, you close? Gonna cum with me, yeah? C’mon, Baby, cum with me.”
His hand sneaks around your hips and his fingers find your clit with ease. Just a few passes and pumps of his cock and your clamping down on him while wailing into the material stuffed into your mouth. Your vision goes white again, black creeping in at the edges, and your ears start to ring. You distantly hear Chuuya’s moans and his hips still as he spills into you, cumming just as hard as you.
You try to catch your breath and after a few moments your vision returns and the ringing turns into a slight buzzing. Still disoriented, your head becomes dizzy again when Chuuya flips you around so your back is now resting on the table. You don’t know how much time has passed nor do you remember where you even are at this very moment
All you know is Chuuya.
The man in question regains himself faster than you and removes the makeshift gag from your mouth. He carefully pulls his now softened cock out of your hole and quickly plugs you up with the very same panties that were in your mouth just seconds ago. The loss of him filling you up hits you and that’s when all your senses finally come flooding back and you return to the boardroom finally.
“What are you doing?” You croak out and you wince at the hoarseness of your voice.
The ginger doesn’t respond. Instead he leans back down to rest his head on your chest. A grunt leaves your throat at the sudden weight and the pressure he puts on your stomach makes it hard to keep anything from spilling out of you.
You can’t believe you still have to tidy up when all you want to do is get into bed with him and sleep. After the stunt he pulled, you should be furious with him, but he was right in his confidence earlier. There would have been no repercussions because Chuuya is invaluable to the Port Mafia.
That doesn’t stop you from feeling bitter.
“Chuuya-” You’re about to scold him, tell him to get off of you because he volunteered you both to clean up and all you’ve done so far is make a bigger mess, when he cuts you off.
“I know, I know. Just- Gimme a second, ok?” And how are you supposed to say no when he nudges his nose against your chin and rubs his fingers into your hips so soothingly?
