SUMMARY: after a long day, cuddling is just what you need from your husband toji. or... your child megumi? both? oh great. here comes war.
WC: 852
NOTES: I HAVE BEEN ON THE BIGGEST TOJI BRAINROT so incoming; toji fics are on its way
Evening in the Fushiguro household was always a soft sort of chaos.
Dinner had been eaten. Megumi’s tiny face had been wiped clean (after much squirming and pouting). Pajamas were on, teeth brushed—though Toji insisted, “The kid’s only got like three teeth, what’s there to brush?”—and now it was finally time for the best part of the day.
Cuddle Time.
You were curled up on the couch, warm and cozy under a big blanket, reading a book and half-listening to the quiet hum of the night. You’d barely blinked when a familiar weight crashed beside you.
“‘Kay, move over.”
Toji’s gravelly voice. Grumpy, low, but unmistakably pouty in that way he tried to hide.
You shifted just enough to make room as he flopped beside you with a groan, throwing one arm around your waist and pulling you in with that effortless strength of his.
“Rough day?” you asked, pressing a kiss to his jaw.
“Always,” he muttered, burying his face into your neck like a heat-seeking missile. “Missed you.”
You smiled softly, fingers carding through his dark hair. “I’m right here.”
You should’ve expected what came next.
Tiny, stompy feet. The quiet pat-pat-pat of your son’s determined little march.
Megumi waddled into the living room, wearing his favorite wolf-print pajama pants and dragging his own little blanket like a warrior preparing for battle.
He stopped in front of the couch. Squinted.
Frowned.
“…Papa, move.”
Toji peeked one eye open. “No.”
“I wanna cuddle Mama.”
“Too bad. I got here first.”
“Not fair!” Megumi huffed, cheeks puffed out, hands balling into tiny fists. “She’s my mama!”
Toji didn’t move. Didn’t even flinch.
“She’s my wife.”
“But—!”
Megumi stomped once more, then—with all the dramatic flair of a bedtime soap opera—climbed on top of you, shoving his way between your chest and Toji’s arm like a chubby little wedge.
“Toji—” you started, laughing as the blanket slipped down your shoulder.
“No. Nope. He’s not allowed in here.”
“He’s your son,” you reminded, trying to wrangle the squirmy toddler now making himself at home in your arms.
“He’s a traitor.”
Megumi smirked triumphantly, curling into your chest and patting your collarbone like he’d just conquered a new kingdom. “My Mama.”
Toji let out a dramatic sigh, glaring at Megumi like he’d just been dethroned. “You get her all day. I get her at night. That’s the rule.”
Megumi looked up at you. “Is that true?”
You blinked. “There’s a rule?”
Toji grunted. “There should be.”
But Megumi wasn’t budging. He threw one leg over your stomach and settled in like a cat, kicking Toji’s side lightly in the process.
You were wheezing from trying not to laugh. “Okay, okay—stop. You both can cuddle me.”
“No.” They said it at the same time.
Toji tugged you closer, trying to reclaim his space. Megumi clung tighter, glaring up at him with wide, watery eyes.
“She loves me more,” the kid mumbled.
Toji’s eyebrow twitched. “Wanna bet?”
Before you knew it, Toji had hooked one arm around Megumi and the other under your knees—and in one smooth, annoyingly strong motion, he hoisted both of you into his lap like you weighed nothing.
Now you were in the middle. Megumi pressed to your chest. Toji wrapped around your back, legs caging you both in.
“Aha,” he muttered smugly. “Cuddle sandwich. I win.”
“This is not winning,” you said, laughing. “This is kidnapping.”
Megumi was too busy snuggling into your hoodie, mumbling something about how warm you were and how he wanted you all to himself. Toji kept his arm slung heavy around both of you, his big hand on your thigh, his chin resting on your shoulder.
“I’m gonna fall asleep like this,” you warned.
“That’s the plan,” he muttered, eyes already half-lidded.
You could feel Megumi relaxing, his breathing slowing. And Toji—despite all his grumbling—was gently running his fingers up and down your side in soft, rhythmic strokes.
“…Love you, Mama,” Megumi whispered, voice already heavy with sleep.
Toji grunted softly, his mouth brushing your neck. “Tch. Love you too.”
“Who are you saying that to?” you asked, smiling.
“…Both of you.”
Your heart ached in the best possible way.
Toji—fierce and dangerous and built for anything but softness—was now the anchor of this small, sleepy pile of warmth and love. His son clung to you like you were the sun, and he held you both like you were his whole damn world.
Which, honestly, you were.
Later that night, when you were half-asleep and Megumi had long since started drooling on your chest, you felt Toji whisper into your hair.
“I used to think I was gonna die alone,” he murmured. “Now I’ve got you two, and I’m fighting a four-year-old over cuddles.”
You smiled, eyes closed, hand resting over his on your waist.
“You lost, by the way.”
Toji snorted quietly. “Nah. Still got you in my arms, didn’t I?”
And just like that, the house fell into peaceful silence—wrapped in blankets, love, and the kind of warmth Toji Fushiguro never believed he’d ever deserve.
But now?
He wouldn’t give it up for the world.
it's been two days, and nerd!gojo is nowhere to be found.
as his one and only bully, you can't help but be worried.
did he get hurt when you shoved him in the locker that one time? did he get sick when you made him eat out of the trash?
weak nerd with his weak ass immune system. you should've been feeding him more dirt.
more importantly, what if you get in trouble for his skinny, frail, weak ass?
not on your watch.
you tell the teacher that you'll deliver gojo's homework to him, which she completely believes for some reason ("oh, how sweet! you two are always together") and she gives you his home address, too, with a wink.
weird, but whatever.
when you get to his house you want to beat his worthless ass all over again. ugh. of course gojo lives in a beautiful, massive house in a super upscale neighborhood you're sort of embarrassed to be seen in.
you think about your clothes, second-hand, not quite fitted right. your worn but comfy shoes. just... ugh.
but there's an intercom, and after you say your name, school, and class that you're delivering gojo's schoolwork for, the door gate opens.
when you get in, it's immediately obvious which room is gojo's - he's got an asuka poster on his door. it's completely out of place in the modern, sleek decor. only gojo could be so tacky.
you don't waste any time striding up there, throwing open the door and glaring at the pitiful wet paper towel of a boy on the bed.
and, well... he is sick, of that you have no doubt.
laying back in bed, half-propped up on pillows. his pale skin looks even paler with the dark circles around his eyes, his red nose, a pile of crumbled up tissues on either side of him.
there's a dampness on his shirt, a graphic tee, and an empty water bottle at his bedside.
"you look like shit," you say, shutting the door behind you and setting his papers on the table.
gojo half-laughs, but mostly it just comes out as a cough.
"no, it's just the flu. been going around. i think i got it from the housekeeper, actually, she took some time off recently."
a housekeeper? fucking gross. you hope he dies. rich people. ugh.
but you can't help but notice. there's no more water, plus you can't see any food around here. and gojo looks absolutely miserable.
you've only been sick once when you were a kid, but it wasn't so bad. things were different back then, though.
"well, since i'm here." you plop the homework in front of him, generously allowing him your pen, "get to work."
he's staring, blankly, at the sheet. eyes scrunching as if in consternation.
before he can insist that you need to work on it together, you stride out of the room.
a faint "wait!" sounds behind you as you shut the door, but you don't mind it.
it's a quick trip to the kitchen. you spend a couple minutes searching through cabinets full of wine glasses (wine glasses? seriously, in his home kitchen?) until you find a cup.
you fill it with water, and then, in a fit of generosity, you fill up a second cup for gojo. let it never be said that you hit a man while he was down.
somehow, when you come back up, gojo is still contemplating the homework sheet as if it held the secrets of the universe.
"hello?" you say out loud. gojo blinks, looking over at you with that blank, dopey expression.
"did you get anything at all done?" there's nothing on the paper. "drama queen."
"ah," gojo says, sniffling, eyes wincing shut, "sorry, it's hard to concentrate... i have a raging headache."
absolutely useless. you set the water down beside him, but gojo slumps back against the pillows.
he looks up at you with big, blue, pleading eyes.
"can't reach... help me?" his voice is high, his expression utterly pitiful. like some kicked puppy.
maybe it's because his throat actually does sound pretty raw. his hair is even more unkempt than usual, in a greasy, scraggly way, his tired eyes and miserable expression squeezing a drop of undeserved sympathy out of your stony heart.
mostly it's because you want him to do your homework that you begrudgingly hold up the water to his mouth and tip it carefully for him to drink.
"what," you grouse, "mommy and daddy not here to coddle you?"
gojo takes a long gulp, swallowing heavily, and letting out an exaggerated ah~ afterwards.
"the housekeeper does that," he says, shifting against the pillows to get comfortable, "but she's not here. i really was dying before you arrived. you saved me," he crows, somehow proud of his utter display of weakness and ineptitude.
you stare at his legs pointedly. "do you have a cold and leprosy? at least go get yourself some medicine."
the puppy dog eyes, again, "i tried! but i got lightheaded and dizzy! it's in the bathroom cupboard, the one closest to my room, pleeeeease-"
"what, now i'm your errand girl?" you snap, already standing up.
something flashes in gojo's eyes, and he keels forward, lurching to grab you by the hand.
"wait, wait! i didn't mean it like that, please don't leave!"
the tone in his voice sends a pang through your chest.
"...i have to leave to get the medicine," your voice comes out awkward, like something's stuck in your throat. "idiot."
gojo's so easy to read, relief on his face clear as day. "oh! okay! we can - we can order delivery, too! my treat! you just have to pick it up for me!"
"i get to choose the restaurant," you grumble, and gojo's already on his phone.
it's a pretty good deal. even though you'll have to endure his presence for a while. and do your own homework without help.
but whatever. it's not like you couldn't do it yourself. you just didn't want to, and it was better having gojo check your answers.
there's just... something weird about this.
"gojo," you ask, hesitant. "i told the intercom i had your homework for you and it let me in. are your parents home?"
he shrugs, "oh yeah, probably."
then why aren't they helping, you want to say - for once in your life, you stop yourself.
why aren't they helping their precious perfect son? what, do they think he's a loser as much as you do?
the thought prickles inside you, uncomfortable, unwelcome. you try to brush it aside. it's none of your business.
maybe gojo's parents find him as unbearable as you do -
even that thought seems a bit too harsh. he's not actually that annoying.
your walk to the bathroom is uneventful. you don't run into anyone, but you do see it - a light under a door at the end of the hallway.
"...if he needs to go to the hospital... no, he won't, a classmate came by with his schoolwork."
the voice is distant, faint. unconcerned.
"...so they want to meet tomorrow night? i'll have to get the reports ready..."
what a drama queen. even his own parents aren't worried about him.
you ignore the bad taste in your mouth as you re-enter gojo's room, where he's looks far too chipper for a sick person.
satoru smiles at you, quickly maneuvering his phone underneath his blanket.
getowo: stop crying, you big baby, i'm on my way over. satoruwu: nvm!!! dont come satoruwu: youll never guess who came to nurse me back to health getowo: so you're hallucinating satoruwu: im not! my bully does house calls <3 we're gonna eat together hehe~ getowo: i'll be there in ten. satoruwu: I TOLD U DONT COME
"gojo?" he drops the phone in his lap, internally cursing.
"yeah?" satoru slumps back, sniffing again, giving you his best pathetic face.
you roll your eyes, "I got your stuff. what did you order?" actually, you don't care. "i want pizza."
"i know this place that makes the best soup," satoru pulls his phone right back out again, "i can get you pizza, too, what kind?"
when you tell him your favorite, he tells you his.
"why are you telling me this? i thought you wanted soup?"
"yeah, but now you know what my favorite is~ we should order some for one of our study dates. we can do halvsies! actually, your fave sounds good-"
you cut him off (so decisive! super hot of you) and tell him to just put in the order. he puts the pizza idea in his notes app, just in case.
"help me take the medicine?" satoru says, half-hopeful, giving you his best puppy dog eyes.
"if you can order delivery, you can drink some water," you say, setting your homework on his desk on the other side of the room.
it's way too high, which makes sense, for his freakishly long limbs -
"oh, it's height adjustable! there's a button, you can lower it!"
you take in his words, leaning back, and you see it. there's an electric whirr as the table falls down. "huh." neat.
"nifty, right!" satoru coughs extra pitifully, "do you think you could help me out? just for a minute?"
you ignore him. it's so obvious he doesn't actually need your help. why is he even asking? it would be faster to do it himself.
whatever. he'll do it when he wants to.
you snatch one of his pens and start working.
it's silent for a bit, the sound of pen scratching against paper filling the air. a little sniffle from the far corner interrupting you.
"...please?" his voice sounds terribly small.
you take a deep, sharp breath. then you stand up and walk over to him.
just to shut him up, obviously. he's so whiney.
only, when you sit down next to him with the cup of water and the pills, his big blue eyes gazing up at you while he gives you a weak smile, that assessment feels a little... mean.
whatever. so you feel a little sorry for him. fine, he's sick. and he's playing it up, too, although his skin does feel a bit feverish when you touch it.
you press the back of your hand - chilled from holding the water glass for him - against his forehead, and gojo sighs in relief, slumping back into the pillow.
he really should be sleeping. he probably needs a shower and a change of clothes, but you're not sticking around for that, and if he needs your help taking meds, he'll need your help with the soup, too.
absently, you run your fingers through his hair. it's so white. and soft, but you can feel some dampness from the fever.
gojo's eyes flutter shut, and he gives out a gentle sigh.
he's quiet for a moment, and you almost think he's falling asleep.
"...can we watch neon genesis evangelion? i have the latest movie."
naturally, his room has a giant flatscreen in it. it's not that messy, either, but you attribute that to the housekeeper.
you roll your eyes, "god, you and your freaky anime. fine, whatever you want."
he's eager, then, lighting up at your words. it's such a weird look on him, all exhausted and sick but still happy.
"we can start from the first one, so you know what's going on!" gojo babbles, "i bet you'll love asuka. she's just like you - "
your cheeks flush, "it's fine! we can just watch your latest movie. i don't need a whole marathon."
you'd looked it up in your free time, just to see what gojo's rambling was about. and maybe you'd gone through some of it online. just to know how bad his taste was.
it's not a bad night, though.
maybe you don't get your homework done - you'll have to get to it tomorrow - but you sit there, next to gojo, on his super comfy (probably super expensive) bed.
the soup arrives before the pizza. you're hungry, and you take great pleasure in blowing on the spoon, pretending to guide it into gojo's mouth, then diverting it to yours at the last moment.
but you're generous enough to feed him, after. it's all with the movies playing in the background.
gojo started with the first evangelion movie, but you're not about to give away that you know.
he likes to narrate over it, and it's fun telling him all the reasons why his takes are wrong. but you have to tell him to shut up once his voice grows hoarse.
then the pizza comes. he looks at you so sadly whenever you head to the door. like a dog watching its owner go to work. ugh.
so maybe... you lose track of time it's a comfy bed, comfy pillows, nice soft blankets once you clean up all his used tissues and the takeaway boxes.
definitely no funny business or anything. you wouldn't be this close to him if he weren't deathly sick.
he says he's deathly sick. maybe this feels like dying for a crybaby like him, you don't know.
but you know, briefly, with your shoulder pressed into his; you're tired. you ate way too much pizza. it's warm in here, safe - gojo is a wet paper towel most days, and today, he's a used tissue, totally unthreatening.
so if you lose track of time and fall asleep... well. nobody will care anyways.
when satoru wakes up, he has to admit - he feels a lot better.
last night was pretty great, even if he'd been sick. it was like a dream! he got to spend all that time with you! just relaxing and watching shows and being hand-fed!
and you even got him water and medicine! and you helped him eat!
it was a while before suguru got out of school, and this night was worse than last night. with the housekeeper gone, he could barely get up for water or food.
even suguru wouldn't have been able to stick around. he hadn't been looking forward to spending the night sick and miserable and all alone in his bed, body full of aches and pains and hunger.
but you saved him! you even stayed the night - heheh. in a way, you basically slept with him, right?
suguru might not ever believe it, but satoru knows. you're really warming up to him. you actually like him, deep down -
when he looks around, though, you're already gone.
I loved your boxer good can we get boxer gojo in jealousy pleaseeee😭❤❣
hehe ofc bb<3 jealous boxer!gojo it is.. part 1 part 2
boxer!gojo who gets jealous way too easily. he sees the way the other fighters look at you—his sports therapist, his girl. sees the way they grin when you tape their hands, the way they lean in when you check their injuries. and he fucking hates it. "bet they like having your hands all over ‘em, huh?" he mutters, voice low and dangerous.
you roll your eyes, used to his possessive streak. "it’s my job, satoru." but that’s not good enough. because right now, his job is making sure you remember exactly who you belong to.
boxer!gojo who fucks you against the locker room mirror, making you watch. "see that?" he pants, one hand gripping your throat, the other pushing your legs apart. "no one else gets to touch you like this. no one." his hips snap into you hard, deep, stretching you open until you can barely stand.
you whimper, hands pressed against the mirror, and he leans in, smirking. "aw, baby—what, too much? you didn’t seem so shy when you had your hands all over those other guys."
boxer!gojo who makes you scream his name. "who’s fuckin’ you like this, huh?" he groans, his fingers finding your clit, rubbing slow and teasing circles. you choke on a moan, legs shaking, and he laughs, low and smug.
"c’mon, sweetheart. say it."
when you finally sob out his name, he rewards you with a bruising thrust, hips slamming against yours. "that’s right. mine."
boxer!gojo who doesn’t stop even when someone knocks on the door. "oi, gojo, you in there? fight starts in five!"
he grins against your neck, still rolling his hips. "guess i gotta make this quick, huh?" his fingers tighten around your throat, keeping you right where he wants you as he fucks you even rougher. "better cum before i do, baby—don’t wanna walk outta here with my cum drippin’ down your thighs, do ya?"
boxer!gojo who leaves you wrecked, trembling, completely fucked out. he kisses your jaw, smirking. "next time you touch another guy, remember this, yeah?" he fixes his shorts, winks, and heads out like he didn’t just ruin you.
and when he wins his fight that night, he points at you in the crowd, grinning. "that one was for my girl."
…because everyone in this arena should know who you really belong to.

The first time you meet him is a blur. You just so happened to be staying at the same hotel that night— you were on your first business trip while he was away for the nth time for a game. You wanted to enjoy the last night of your trip and treated yourself to a drink at the hotel’s bar. It doesn’t take long until Sayomi’s father spots you, goes to sit obnoxiously close to you, and proceeds to ask you what you were drinking, even though he already knew what a martini was.
You’d think he couldn’t get any more cocky than he already is now, but that’s all what Sukuna was when he was 24 years old. He just couldn’t wait to tell you what he did for a living, and accused you of staring at his thighs to get that conversation rolling.
“I don’t mind you staring at ‘em, just means I’ve been training right.”
You didn’t ask him to elaborate on that like he thought you would, so he eventually just told you.
He also eventually convinced you to come back up to his hotel room with him, where he also couldn’t wait to show you how big his dick was and how good he could make you feel with it.
You really don’t remember much except for the way he kept pulling your hips back to meet each thrust and how that alone made you cum more times than you ever have in a single night. And the way he moaned— god it was sexy. So low, so smooth. He’d stare at you with half-lidded eyes, watching his cock split you open and disappear inside of you, in a complete trance over how you took every inch he gave you.
That was the night he realized he’d fuck you forever if he could, and he’d be lying if he said he didn’t feel that way anymore.
It obviously didn’t last forever because that’s just not possible, but he did want your number. One could imagine his disappointment when he woke up the next morning and realized it was a fucking pillow that he had his leg thrown over, not the woman who’s guts he spent hours rearranging the night before.
Fate decided to do its thing though when he spots you on the same plane back home, where you happened to be sitting right next to him in first class.
No, you never met him in the bathroom for round 2. He tried, believe him, but he understood why you rejected him when he noticed you walking with a slight limp as you got off the plane. He did get your number though, which will always be worth so much more than just a quick fuck in a cramped bathroom of an airplane.
He especially feels that way whenever he looks at his little girl that he’s known for over a month now— should be 10 months, but it seems to be just him that’s counting with how normal everyone is about this.
Everyone except for the woman that’s been blowing up his phone, despite upping the number of date nights they have every week.
He’s been wondering what his 24 year old self would think about all of this.
Probably happy at first, after finding out the kid he has is with you, then confused after finding out you two weren’t together. Maybe even hurt after finding out how things ended.
“What did we even do to her?”
“I don’t fuckin’ know.”
He gets a knot in his stomach whenever he thinks about it long enough. This strange feeling of impending doom begins to wash over him, even when the worst has already happened. He’s constantly having to remind himself that he’s okay and everything will be fine, then he sees you and realizes that you’d slap his hand away if he ever tried to reach out to you.
Gone is the girl who’d happily lean into his touch— she literally vanished into thin air for him.
His phone vibrates after letting a call go to voicemail, and finally checks it.
Yor: Are you sure you can’t leave early? We’ve been wanting to go to the concert for a while now.
Sukuna: I really can’t, I already told you Yomi’s got an appointment. She’ll probably be in a bad ass mood after, you know how sensitive she is.
No, she doesn’t know, she’s never met the kid.
He didn’t specify what kind of an appointment it’d be, but he’s sure getting an ear piercing would be a worse experience than getting flu shots or whatever they give to babies.
Truth be told, he just doesn’t wanna be away from her. He spends more time at your house than he has at his own and will probably stay with you both up until her bedtime tonight—ingraining it into his daughter's head that he’ll be there for her every time she feels pain.
She won’t remember it, but it’ll become a subconscious thing. She’ll eventually just know that he’s someone she can go to if she’s not okay.
You two decided to go in the same car and meet your mom at the fancy piercing shop she suggested, more than ready to spend a fortune on her granddaughter's first pair of earrings.
“Are you excited, sweetie?” She turns to you and asks
“I’m just worried about how long she’ll be sore for.”
“Just give her some Tylenol.” Your mother simply says, waving off your concerns.
“Fuck, I should’ve called her pediatrician and asked if that was okay.”
“Honey, we used to line your gums with vodka whenever you were in pain from teething, a little bit of baby Tylenol isn’t going to hurt her.” Your mother reveals and Sukuna immediately steps away from her, to which she immediately scoffs at. “It was a different time, okay? I’m sure your parents did the same to you.”
He ignores her and turns to you, “call them and double check.”
He met your parents a couple weeks ago and so far it’s been good. Their relationship is very relaxed. You weren’t sure what to expect since it was you that decided to be a single mother, but they were pleasantly surprised to find out who exactly it was, with your father muttering “I fucking knew it” under his breath.
You ignored that comment.
They’re just glad their grandchild’s father isn’t a bum, which also confused them more as to why you did what you did.
“I kinda wanna get mine pierced with her.” Sukuna mentions while rubbing her little earlobe between his fingers.
“Seriously?”
“Yeah. I feel like she’d cry less if she saw me getting it done first.” He explains his little last minute theory. There’s also no doubt in his mind that they’d look good on him, but that’s something he keeps to himself.
“Guess it won’t hurt for you to try.”
He turns to your mother with a shit eating grin. “You tryna buy me a pair of earrings too?”
“Never in my life would I do such a thing,” she laughs a little too hard. “We all know you could buy this whole store and it wouldn’t put the slightest dent in your pocket.”
“Rude.” He complains boyishly while looking at which diamond studs he wants. “It’s the thought that counts y’know.”
“I’ll try to keep that in mind during christmas time. Let’s hope I forget how much Google said your net worth was by then.” Your mother quips.
“Tch– whatever.” He clicks his tongue and chuckles, then turns to you. “Do you want anything?”
“No, I don’t see anything I like that I don’t already have. Thank you though.” You say after taking a brief look at what they had to offer. In the end you decided it’s probably best if he doesn’t buy you anything, even though there was a necklace in the corner of the glass display that you really liked.
One that he was more than capable of buying.
Soon enough, it’s you holding Yomi while you both wave at her father who’s sitting across from you too. For once, you find yourself appreciative of Sukuna and the lengths he is willing to go to in order to make your daughter's life slightly easier.
It was a smart idea, you could see why he thought that her seeing him getting it done would help the process.
Except when the gun goes off, she flinches and her eyes grow wide in horror as she sees the diamond stud that the little device left on his ear.
She started crying before the piercer got to Sukuna’s second ear and cried even harder when he actually got the second piercing. You both ultimately decided that today just wasn’t the day you’d get them done— you might not get them done ever given how traumatized the experience of just watching her dad getting piercings has left her.
The three of you were supposed to go out for lunch with your mother right after, but you also decided that it was best to go straight home. She’s having one of those meltdowns where it’s best to go home and put her to sleep, scheduling the appointment at noon probably wasn’t the best thing to do since it clashed with her nap time. At least she’ll sleep well, you know you do whenever you sob as hard as she is right now.
You ended up having to sit in the backseat to comfort her, which was fine until she decided that she was going to string out the tears, because getting attention from mommy is nice.
“oohuhuhu,” she whimpered in her little voice, it was so forced— barely any emotion behind it and Sukuna bursts out laughing because of it.
You end up having to look away too, not wanting her to think you were making fun of her. But it was already too late as tears started to well in her eyes again from feeling embarrassed.
Lately, it’s been him who’s been trying to coddle her whenever she’s in one of her moods. It actually works half the time— something that’s even surprised your parents when they came over the other week and watched him successfully calm her down.
Today’s not one of those days, she keeps turning around and looking at you— wanting for you to come get her. Sukuna tried turning around so she couldn’t see you and she just stuck her little hand out to the side of him, reaching out for help. At that point you started to feel bad and ended up taking her, not missing the slight pout on Sukuna’s face when you did.
“Sukuna.”
“Hm?”
“Can you look away?”
“Oh right, my bad.” He doesn’t mean it. You throw the baby blanket over you and let him know his eyes were free to roam again.
His eyes go straight to Yomi’s little feet that were sticking out of the blanket and joyously kicking around because she finally got what she wanted, once again reminding him how much of a brat she is. “Are you sure she didn’t get her attitude from you?”
“No, my parents said I was the easiest child ever.” You laugh at how in denial he is of being the one to pass down the ‘tude to her. “Even Jin said she gets it from you, you just didn’t hear him because you were too busy arguing with Yuji.”
“Don’t believe a word Jin says,” he says, taking a seat on the sofa across from the one you were sitting on. “He was a thousand times more sensitive than this one.”
“I’m sure.” You say and leave it at that. After hearing about their parents dying when they were just 18, you try not to talk about anything that would lead to a conversation about them. You’re only cautious about it since Sukuna’s never brought it up before. And aside from sharing a child together, you two just aren't that close.
“How long are you planning on breastfeeding her for?” He nods at Yomi when he asks, or your tits, you’re not sure anymore.
“I wanted to be done by the time she turns one, but that’s a month away and I just don’t see that happening.” You sigh, starting to get literal war flashbacks of when you tried to stop. “I tried weaning her off right before you came into the picture and I lost so much sleep that I started seeing shadow figures.”
“What the fuck?” His face twists in disbelief.
“Yeah.” You wish you were kidding, that was the worst week of your life. “She’d take her normal naps during the day, then she’d cry all night. I had to have my parents come help. I slept for like 16 hours and went back to breastfeeding her.”
“I can always watch her for the night if you wanna try to stop again.” He suggests, it doesn’t surprise you, he’s been like that one guy from the movie Holes.
I cAn hELp wiTh thAt.
Very sweet, but you can’t help but feel like he has an underlying motive sometimes.
“Maybe. I thought about trying again when she’s 18 months old.”
“You mean a year and a half?” He tries to correct you. He thinks he might actually lose it if you say she’s 24 months old when she turns 2.
“Same shit.” You roll your eyes at the man.
“Okay.” He says sarcastically. “The season starts again around that time though, so it’d probably be better if you do that before then.”
“Oh yeah huh?” He’s been around so much that you almost forgot that he travels half of the year.
He used to fly you out a lot when you two were messing around with each other. This was back when you had the energy to hop on a flight right after work on Fridays, then get ready for work at 3 am on monday so you could go straight from the airport to work.
You’d never do that for anyone, ever again. It was so much work now that you’re looking back. There was one point where you did that for nearly a month straight. You just had to stop, but by then he only had a couple weeks of the season left, so he didn’t seem to mind when you tapped out on him.
“Do you think you two can travel with me for a bit once the season starts?” He asks in a low tone, it’s almost as if he’s nervous to ask.
“I’m not sure. It's doable since I work from home, but it’s hard traveling with kids.” You hesitantly say. You don’t really travel all that much with her anyways, the thought of being far away from home almost makes you nervous.
“Well, think about it. Some of the guys on the team are married with children and they bring ‘em along for at least half the time. I’m sure accommodations can be made for you two, maybe even pay for a nanny if you need the help.”
“I will, I’ll let you know in a couple months or something.” You say, before you both are interrupted by his phone ringing again for the third time since you’ve gotten back to the house.
“You can take phone calls in front of me.” You let out a light laugh. He thinks you don’t know, but you are very aware of how much his girlfriend calls and texts him.
He lets out a deep sigh while looking at the phone screen, it ends up going to voicemail again, but at that point he’d rather not keep her waiting and calling and waiting and calling.
“It’s probably something important, so I’ll just take it outside.” He mutters before excusing himself and stepping into the backyard.
By that point, Sayomi’s fast asleep, so you end up sending Sukuna a little text letting him know you’re going to be in the nursery with her. You try not to think about the fact that you heard a couple yells coming out of the backyard as you walk up the stairs. You shut the door too so you don’t have to listen to him fighting with his girlfriend for like the hundredth time that week.
You set Yomi down in her crib and take a seat in the rocking chair next to it, letting out a little yawn and rubbing the day away from your eyes. Sucks that Sukuna had to take a phone call, you were just about to ask him if he could watch her while you take a little power nap, you don’t get to do much of that anymore.
Your own phone buzzes, but instead of a call, it’s a text from Suguru.
[11:05 a.m] Suguru G: How’s your morning going?
[01:11 p.m] Suguru G: Just remembered your daughter was getting her ears pierced today, just wanted to ask how it went!
[01:11 p.m] You: Oh my god I never even saw your text from this morning! Sorry about that. And she didn’t even get them pierced. Her dad thought it might’ve helped if she watched him get his ears pierced beforehand, but it ended up scaring her lol
[01:12 p.m] Suguru: LMAO
[01:12 p.m] Suguru: You guys traumatized her
[01:13 p.m] You: I know, I felt so bad! But I think she was just tired too, she woke up kind of early this morning.
[01:14 p.m] Suguru: Probably. Is everything okay now?
[01:14 p.m] You: Yeah, she’s finally taking a nap, she needed it lol
You hear a little knock at the door and Sukuna comes in right after, walking up to the crib. Except instead of looking at his daughter, he was looking at your phone in your hands— looking like he was about to ask who you were texting.
And he was extremely close to asking, mainly because he has a habit of starting more fights when he’s in a bad mood, but this time he practices some self control. He already knows it was fucking Suguru anyways and he’d rather not get into all of that when he’s already got other shit to deal with right now.
“I gotta go,” he whispers to you. His hairs slightly disheveled, looks like he’s been pulling on it or something. He leans over the crib and gives Yomi a couple forehead kisses before standing back up at full height. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Okay.” You whisper back and do a little wave before he gently closes the door.
Even with the door shut and him trying to keep his voice down, you can still hear him suddenly snap and say something along the lines of “I already said I was fuckin’ coming” after picking up the phone, again.
notes: i'm hoping you guys are enjoying the story so far!! seeing the theories and thoughts make me giggle and kick my feet like a little slut, i'm hoping to get back to them very soon!!

a/n: oh holy shit a possible tension/angst fic? “everybody gotta die, including me” or wtv cory said because angst WRECKS me but yk what? HELL YEAH! also thank you soooo much for your love and support ! <3
let it happen
now playing: bad religion by Frank Ocean
fem reader is implied ! angst is the only warning 2nd year based so this is post war arc!
Katsuki may have never been the best with words, or displaying his emotions, or even identifying them as a matter of fact, but after the war he knew one thing for sure. He didn’t just like you- no.
He loved you.
Seeing his own classmates battered on the battlefield during the war did more on him mentally than he thought it would. but what really affected him the most was the bloodcurdling scream of his name you let out when his body hit the ground after shigaraki basically destroyed him.
he couldn’t even see anything. he couldn’t hear anything else; but he knew there was a lot of noise. but the last thing he remembered hearing was you. your scream of pure horror.
so if the whole war arc wasn’t already enough mental baggage, why did the universe decide to be so unfair and make his heart feel so much more heavier than it already is?
sure, katsuki pushed you away the first few months at UA, he did with everyone. he was only there to be a hero, didn’t want to mingle with people who he thought were below him. he didn’t think he had time for all of that.
keyword; was. not is.
because quickly, during katsuki’s time as a first year at UA he made friends with his classmates, even rebuilt his friendship with Izuku. but you? you had a mind of your own that you weren’t even aware about. you found a way to sliver into his heart, soften edges around him, and lighten his day a little bit without even noticing it.
but after eavesdropping on a conversation he had no business listening in on, katsuki is tempted the universe is just trying to give him karmic lesson after karmic lesson of some sort.
“but you and todoroki are so cute together!” uraraka, ever the supportive best friend she was, said with an adorable eager smile to you as you talk to her about you and todoroki.
he felt his heart drop to his stomach at those words and suddenly the popsicle he wanted was unappetizing. he started listening in further to your conversation with uraraka subtly from the common room kitchen; forcing himself to look busy before just straight up leaving since he felt the air clawing out of his throat with every passing gushing word you spoke.
your happiness mattered so much to him, but goddamnit he would be lying if he said he didn’t wish it was him you were gushing over instead of todoroki.
you were never his. and he was never yours.
and that fact pained him so terribly much, and affected him more than he wanted to. the one person he finally let his guard down around, opened up to, gone to someone else.
“kats?” your voice cut through his racing thoughts, where he sat on the dorm rooftop watching the sunset; this was your activity, your spot, where the two of you found a routine in debriefing your days while watching the sunset.
and god, katsuki couldn’t ignored you even if he wanted to. and he really and truly wanted to. but his heart spoke before his mind could and he turned towards you.
“yeah?” he replied with his usual softer gruff that he had when he was around you.
you made your way closer to katsuki, sitting beside him as you two usually would do before speaking again. “you’ve been.. distant as of recently. is everything okay?” you ask softly and carefully, not wanting to sound accusatory.
katsuki pulled his gaze away from you with a scoff under his breath. of course you would notice his behavioral changes, you always did. both of you did with each other’s moods.
“s nothin” katsuki replies to you with a head shake and a soft chuckle; the soft chuckle aimed at himself for how pathetic he feels like he’s being right now. “don’t worry about it”
“suki you know you don’t have to hi-“ you didn’t even get a chance to finish before katsuki cut you off.
“y/n.” katsuki starts firmly with a sigh before looking over at you. your soft beautiful features, and worried expression. you have a boyfriend, shoto todoroki even, why were you so worried about him?
“i’ll be fine. just give me time to get over myself” katsuki speaks softly, barely above a whisper. you’ve never seen him like this before, so distant and obviously mentally battling something.
you let his words simmer in the air for a moment, resting your head on his shoulder. katsuki mentally debates the want to push you away or get up and move away for the sake of his own sanity, his own stability, and maybe the hurt won’t be so bad anymore. but he doesn’t. he lets your head rest on his shoulder, wrapping an arm around your shoulder like he usually does. it felt so natural, so normal for him to do.
“i’m not going anywhere, and im here whenever your ready to talk” you spoke softly, looking out at the sunset in the distance as katsuki rests his head against yours.
he inhales softly “i know” he says. and lets himself believe it. that no matter what; your relationship status, or the uncomfortable and painful emptiness that only you could fill in him, that you aren’t going anywhere.
a/n: hiya! this ruined me so i had to end it on at least a sort of bright light. there might be a possible part 2 depending on what people think of this and if i get another ask/comment on how i should write it!

pairing: hockey player!katsuki x trainer!reader
warnings: cussing, tensions, bakugou kinda being very forward
notes: hockey player katsuki save me 🤤
what started as teasing texts between the star hockey player and the team's trainer turns into late-night tension and feelings neither of you want to name
~ Protective!Megumi who notices someone getting a little too close to you during a mission briefing. It’s subtle, really—just a lingering look, a too-friendly comment—but it makes something coil tightly in his chest.
~ Protective!Megumi who doesn’t say anything at first. He just steps closer to you, standing slightly in front of you, his arm brushing yours like a silent barrier. You glance up at him and catch the smallest crease between his brows.
~ Protective!Megumi who stays quiet during the whole exchange, eyes sharp, always watching. Not jealous—totally not jealous. If someone’s making you uncomfortable, even a little, he’s already two steps ahead, calculating what to do if it escalates.
~ Protective!Megumi who gently pulls you aside once you’re alone, voice low and controlled. “Was he bothering you?” he asks, eyes meeting yours with quiet concern. You shake your head, smiling a little at his intensity. “No, but… you noticed, huh?”
~ Protective!Megumi who just exhales, not angry—just focused. “I always notice.”
~ Protective!Megumi who walks with you the entire rest of the mission, always staying close, always aware. If danger shows itself, he’s in front of you before you can blink, his shikigami flaring to life like they were just waiting for a reason.
~ Protective!Megumi who doesn’t speak unless he has to during battle, but if you so much as stumble, he’s there in a flash—catching your arm, shielding you with his own body, eyes scanning for any threat before checking if you’re okay.
~ Protective!Megumi who, after everything, cups your face gently, his fingers a little rough but touch so, so careful. “You scared me for a second,” he murmurs, voice strained just slightly. “Don’t do that again.”
~ Protective!Megumi who doesn’t even realize how tightly he’s holding you until you shift and nuzzle against his shoulder, whispering, “I’m okay, Megumi. You’re always watching out for me.”
~ Protective!Megumi who presses his forehead to yours, eyes closing. “Always.”
