Okay so this is huge pet peeve I have in BDSM.

Earlier today I was watching this video by ""The Kingdom of Kink"" about why he prefers 24/7 over bedroom-only BDSM (it's hilarious, go watch it) and the pre-view picture read "NOT AN ACT OR ROLEPLAY" and I'm sorry but that's... bs.

No matter how 24/7 TPE your relationship is, no matter how naturally Dominant/submissive you feel you are, your BDSM will always be roleplay.

And as a sub this feels weird to say because it does feel like being submissive (to my Daddy) is an inherent part of me.

But a slave cannot be sold with a legally binding contract. A slave can always leave an M/s relationship, even if it's "CIS".

Because they aren't an actual slave. Because BDSM is ROLEPLAY.

In the end we're all just adults who made up this fantasy world of Masters and slaves.

Terms:

* 24/7 TPE: 24/7 Total Power Exchange. A style of relationship where the Master/Dom holds all the power and authority in every aspect of the relationship (usually including food, sleep, body mods/hairstyles/..., finances, ect). It is consentual and negotiated.

24/7 refers to the duration of the Power Exchange, meaning 24 hours, seven days a week (all the time).

24/7 on it's own only refers to duration and doesn't have to involve TPE.

* CIS: Completely irrevocable submission. A relationship where the sub becomes full property of the Master/Dom and can't end the relationship on their own, they can only ask the Master/Dom to be freed. [I have... thoughts on that]
