is it normal to have 2 oc's that are just like alternate versions of eachother but they were both born from the same thing? like basically identical.
the best example of this (other than mine) that i can think of is beta Xiao and ingame Xiao and i remember before Xiao was called Atlus in game some fics called beta Xiao Atlus and he was a diiiiiick. Like still prettyboy but an asshole but the main reason im saying this is bc i cemented the lastname for one of my oc's recently and that really diferientiated him between his beta and his current.
Viktor Sweeney was the original and inspired by this cunty vampire i made in a picrew on a whim and went "shit hes actually really hot" so i give him a whole personality and hes a DICK which was the intention because ooo hot sexy vampire. Main difference (other than personality) is that og Viktor was the son of irish imigrants who came to the US in the early 1900's and was very 20's-30's styled. he also lived in the great lakes area which i cant explain why but it just feels right to place him there
and now hes Viktor Soulier (shoutout to my pookie wookie who came up w his lastname <333) and hes just. wet. like a sopping wet cat who got stuck in the shower and accepted their fate. He's also France and has an actual partner instead of just a random y/n situation?? and they have lore??? Cecil doesnt really have a beta version though so fuck them rn
but like is divergent evolution oc's a thing that happens to anybody else???
