Zelda reacts: pt 1
I woke up in the middle of the night with idea for a series of comics; basically the ending scene of BOTW, but Zelda reacts differently depending on which armour set Link is wearing. of course I had to start with the rubber set which is one of the funniest to me lmao
what armour should I do next??
>>> Part 2: Stealth
Agatha
Powers: Jäger cards. Her ancestors only bound willing spirits to cards, but every single one of them found a few new willing spirits, so now there’s a thousand or so cards hanging around. Agatha usually takes a selection and leaves the rest in an iron bound chest. This is nicer than it sounds – when the Jägers are together they can move between cards and she often comes back to find them all wearing different hats.
She lends them out sometimes, too, but only to people she really trusts.
Mascots: Castle and Beast, in their dingbot forms. When they power up they take on something close to their train and castle forms.
The first time Castle powered up there was a lot of “wait… really a castle? as in a building? did you just bend reality to move all those streets over and place yourself in the middle of this city?”
Violetta
Powers: Her powers are clothing based with her mascots providing different outfits with different powers as needed. The most commonly worn is the purple invisibility dress.
Mascots: Tarvek and Anevka. Anevka is a porcelain doll and Tarvek is a teddy bear, but the really high end and fashionably dressed kind. He has a button in his ear with Violetta’s symbol on it.
When they power up enough they can appear mostly human – but their eyes stay glass.
Zeetha
Powers: Magic swords.
Mascot: Her powers come direct from a goddess so she doesn’t have one.
Bang: She’s not… really a magical girl. But she has the willingness to stab, even if it’s with ordinary knives, a stolen Jäger card (Vole), and a really strong aesthetic.
I have a new LU headcanon. It combines two others I've seen: first, that Wild is not the same person/soul as Link from before the Shrine of Resurrection, and second, that Wind forged his own Hero's Spirit, rather than being a reincarnation of Sky. What if pre-Shrine Link (Champion) had Sky's spirit, but his soul had already passed on when his body was placed in the Shrine. The Link who emerged 100 years later (Wild) is therefore Wind's reincarnation, not Sky's.
I’m a sucker for tiny Time, fluff, and found family tropes….
Role swap au where Zuko was the Avatar who got frozen for a hundred years, so when he’s rescued from the ice instead of a goofy twelve year old Katara catches this mysterious teenager with long hair and a cool scar and a fucking DRAGON
Katara: BOY???? HOT BOY?????? HOT TEENAGE BOY?????????
Zuko: *speaks*
Katara: nevermind I hate him
Hyrule NPCs bein' demanding of Link, and then there's Sidon :3
Something that isn’t really addressed in “It takes a village” is that, while Agatha dresses pretty much like she does in canon while she’s in Mechanicsburg, she has a radically different fashion sense in Beetleburg, where she decided that in order to pass herself as a Very Normal Student, Nothing To See Here, she simply had to crib Vanamonde’s fashion sense.
Possibly that’s just because the mental image she has for ‘respectable young adult’ is Van, and a general unawareness of the fact that, no… Van is… he’s just a fancy goth. Also these are not her colors.
But also, because she tends towards dark and cool colors, it gives her a much more matronly vibe that does help when it comes to keeping the other students in line.
Later, after they find out she’s a Heterodyne, many of the people who knew her at TPU will think ‘oh, that explains why she always dressed so creepy’, but no. No, that was just her plan for blending in. That was Agatha trying to be subtle.
Every work that gets posted on the Archive has a unique identifying number. That number appears in the url for the work. I’m going to use one of my own works as an example. This is the url for my multi-chaptered fic describing tags and tagging:
https://archiveofourown.org/works/25584613/chapters/62091004
The number that I’ve bolded in the middle, the one that comes right after works/ is the ID number for that work. We’re going to use that number to create (or edit) a site skin that will block that work ID from appearing in search results.
Step 1: open the work that you want to avoid and grab that number.
Step 2: either go to https://archiveofourown.org/skins and tap on the Create Site Skin. Give your new skin a name and description so that you’ll know what it is later.
Step 3: this is the CSS code that you’ll want to use:
.blurb#work_25584613 { display: none;}
Note that the number I’m using there is the number from my example work. You’ll want to enter the number of whatever work it is that you’re trying to block.
Repeat step three for as many works as you want to block.
Step 4: save the skin and then hit the Use button to use it on the site.
If you’re already using a skin, you can add this code to the end. So for example, if you’re using Reversi in order to have dark mode, you can copy the Reversi CSS code into your new skin and add this line of code to the end of it, and you’ll have dark mode with the work blocked at the same time.
Step 5: enjoy your AO3 experience that much more! Because this is a site skin, you can set it once and never think of it again (unless you change skins or log out)
