The ticking clock, a hollow chime, Twists reason into fractured rhyme. Faces flicker in the gloom, Fading ghosts that haunt the room.

They claw at echoes in their mind, Seeking voices they can't find. Words like splinters, sharp and cruel, They crack beneath this endless rule.

Loneliness, a poison slow, Roots within and starts to grow. And in the mirror’s haunted stare, A stranger stands, but no one's there.
