The first thing I noticed about you was your hair. Dirty blonde, or maybe it was wheat gold, but I was - and still am - jealous of it. You had two styles, a messy bun and just straight down.

Then your clothes, I wanted your wardrobe so bad. The way you dressed was exactly the aesthetic I tried to copy. Oversized, grunge, or dark academia. 

Is it weird of me to say that I always noticed when you were across from me in the hallway?

But I don’t think I liked you, not in a crush sort of way, just as someone I liked to envy. 

Though my face felt warm whenever you walked past and I always felt an urge to dress up for you and I really wanted you to compliment me and I wanted us to be good friends.

Sometimes I wonder if something was wrong with me in those moments. 

I tried to look cool in front of your friend, I don’t know if it worked or if she thought I was too excited.
