Lineage Isn't My Cup of Tea

Alhaitham is a descendant of the Scarlet King, he never knew his father besides the many stories. Hundreds of years have gone by and still unknown to the followers of his father and the researchers in the Akademiya of his origins. Alhaitham lost interest in his own origins and barely looks back into his father's life.

(Maybe not the best song but it came to my mind)

Before the Archon War, Rukkhadevata, the Goddess of Flowers, and the Scarlet King had lived peacefully in Sumeru. King Deseret had the people of the desert as his followers. There was a rumor of an unknown divine being who met with the Scarlet King, people never talked about it openly, they spoke of how if he ever revealed this person they too would be revered.

King Deseret kept the divine woman a secret, he wanted her to have a peaceful life while having a relationship with her. Often she gave him her time whenever she could, him being overly bored, often appreciated her effort in their limited times to meet.

However these good times would not last.

When forbidden knowledge brought forth the violet sandstorms and breakouts of Eleazar, the Scarlet King, his majesty, made a sacrifice to his people for the mistakes he made discovering this dangerous piece of knowledge. The divine being also succumbed to the effects of forbidden knowledge, she was gone and nother fatality counted in the Eleazar Hospital.

What lay in a crib was an undisturbed infant. Cradled in a small blanket, resting while the sands blow.

Not any older than a few weeks, no mother or father to be by his side. The child was a boy and his crib had his name carved into it, the inscription read "Alhaitham." A newborn alone in the world to soon be lost to time.

The followers of the Scarlet King mourned him, paying respect to their god to venerate him. A follower of him looked into the homes of the deceased to collect their belongings and distribute it to their families. They came across a strange house, almost deserted in the sand dunes, they checked out the structure for anything of the sort. All they found was a trembling boy, almost 10 months old, biting down on his index finger in the darkness and clutching his blanket. Rushing to the crib they saw the little boy, cupped his cheek, and looked down to see the carving on the dusty cradle.

Brushing off the dust he read aloud, "Alhaitham?"

If I ever get to do a small comic for the prologue of my AU, I’d like it to be narrated as a myth of sorts and illustrated simply. I like it a lot when series / movies have these type of scenes since you get to understand the context from the surface, and they also look very cool :3. This reminded me of the intro of Hercules (Disney) too, kinda wanna get to that.

That Fucking Puppet That I Hate! (Matthias x gn!reader)

You kissed him softly and could feel his body heat rise. He gently kissed you back and cutely gripped onto your shirt. You held your kiss for only a few seconds then pulled away. You lovingly stared into his eyes. You could see the love he had for you as your eyes met. You reached over to caress his cheek when you saw something in the corner of your eye. You looked over and realized it was Louis, Matthias’ puppet. That fucking puppet that you hate so damn much!

“Bitch. Fuck off!” You cursed at the puppet. You then launched yourself over towards him with your hands out, ready to choke him. Matthias laid with his eyes wide as he watched you take his puppet by the throat to throttle him. Strings of curses left your mouth as you tackled him to the ground. Matthias hurriedly sat up in shock, watching what was happening between you and Louis.

“Hey-! C-Calm down..” Matthias spoke softly. He gently reached out a hand to your back as an attempt to calm you down. His fingers only barely touched your back before he was startled by your voice.

“No! This puppet needs to FEEL my wrath!” You demanded as you continued to choke this poor (evil) puppet. He couldn’t die, so the only satisfaction you got from this is seeing him being choked. Any suffering to the puppet made you happy.

Matthias sighed and shook his head. Ever since he told you his backstory, you’ve had an attitude towards Louis. Granted, it was for a good reason, but no matter how hard he tried, Matthias couldn’t get rid of Louis. So, he just gave up at some point and learned to deal with him. You, however, took any chance you had to beat the absolute shit out of him.

“Go sit in a pile of shit.” You cursed at Louis before letting him go. You slowly stood up and dusted your hands off before turning to Matthias. “Now that, that’s taken care of~” You exclaimed happily while looking at your lover. Matthias blushed as you faced him. “I can get back to loving you~” You cooed while climbing atop him.

“Geez, you sure have priorities..” Matthias spoke softly.

I found zhonglis performance as mortal adult who doesn't know venti as satisfactory while ventis to be 100/10 (no I am not biased). performance of the century. no millenia.

there was a lot of gay shit happening we know it we know it. I like to believe that hutao knows about a bard boyfriendTM. and she finally got to meet said boyfriend (who is also friends with zhongli,,,, hmm hutao detective glasses on I bet she wasn't fooled at all)

I also wanted to hear ventis thoughts in more detailed but ngl. I think it's pretty neat that xvn would like to keep their relationship a secret but only venti is the one who can while xiao's affection is apparent to anyone who knows him because he is an open book. Even if he tried he can't hide it. but I also wanted to know what venti thinks of music :( I had hoped that it would be like irodori where eh doesn't say much but just watches,,, is there in the background while giving inputs once in a blue moon

Also I did replay my own recording at yess!!! venti did blink a lot??? was it him going 'play along play along' hahaha idk

venti could go to an improv comedy club and absolutely sweep the competition; that man KNOWS how to play along and do so with SUBTLETY. probably bc he spends most of his waking life playing pretend and has done so for centuries, but then again, zhongli has also walked amongst mortals, who see him n go, "it couldn't be... is it??" so he passes with juuuust enough grace to leave them wondering lol. venti absolutely the best out of the three tho. xiao's acting skills found dead in a ditch lmao

OH but smth else i did remember is that i found it interesting that zhongli chose to call xiao by alatus. i know a lot of people tend to subscribe to the hc that alatus is xiao's true name (it's a pretty strongly supported hc that i refuse to subscribe to, personally) n that his weakness is his true name (also pretty supported by the text in canon n a hc i do subscribe to), so i find it interesting that, if alatus is xiao's true name (and secret weakness), zhongli would address him by such. one could say it's just his way of being more polite to someone who served in the archon war, but like idk. i just find it a bit odd and worth noting

a while back i was chillin w/my friends n making one of those alignment charts that's like "distinguished/functional/disaster" vs. "gay/bi/lesbian" (except we also added ace/pan/straight for a bit more nuance) n it was like "well, we have charas w/straight vibes from mond, inazuma, and sumeru. what abt liyue? do any of the liyue characters have straight vibes?" and the answer was no. liyue gay as hell.

and yes i DID see the beiguang over on yujing terrace!!! i was like "omg beiguangs" n i talked to them n i was like "is... is the chess a metaphor for sex???" bc WHAT WAS THAT?? HELLO???? last lantern rite was very much their wedding and so this year they get to sit back n be the stable established couple

also i can't believe hu tao met xiao's bf n then instantly went, "we will have an immortal pact of mischief, a solemn vow of fun written in silly poetics" she knows what she's doing. she knows EXACTLY who venti is; those dots were hardly even disconnected in her head.

i can absolutely see xv keeping their relationship a secret just bc xiao is a very private character, n venti would respect that. it's just so funny to see them fail bc xiao has difficulty maintaining a separation btwn his public n private lives. ofc he doesn't tell anyone if they don't ask, and he never drops any hints that would prompt people to ask normally, but in this particular type of situation where he has to explain himself and his relationship to someone, he's probably so unused to having a public social life that he has absolutely zero skills when it comes to answering questions truthfully, but with respect to his own privacy.

venti opinion on music.... that would've been nice to see :c though i don't think we asked xiao for his opinion either! hmm hmm... i wonder if they keep xiao's character development behind the ephemeral event quests specifically bc they're ephemeral n there's (maybe) gay shit going on behind the scenes.

but also omg so it WASN'T just my computer choking from the constant abuse i make it suffer venti was fluttering his lashes or smth at xiao. i'd personally interpret it as ~smug flirtations~ where he's just like, "ah, yes, how is xiao going to explain me away? :3" but who knows!!! i have brainworms lol

Apparently there is some story leaks going around about scara's name, I don't want to look the thing I enjoy the most about the game is the story😂 Plus the update is what next week? So here is smth with "wanderer" before we get yet another name for scara!
