and when you gaze up to meet his eyes, you’re met with, what has to be, the cutest sight that you’ve ever seen— he’s nodding ever so lightly to absolute silence, and it strikes you as obvious that he’s trying his best to keep his eyes open; “baby, you look beyond exhausted.. how about we pause here for tonight?” you’d ask, only to hear the softest “mm-mm”, his body snuggling closer to your embrace— “you can keep going, i’m not at all tired, baby”, he’d mumble, head buried in the crook of your neck.

before you’d know it, he’d be knocked-out asleep in the next three minutes, soft, hushed snores falling from his lips as he continues to drape an arm around your build.

2am, you quietly enter your home. it’s dark, it’s quiet, no sign of hyunjin.

the smell of freshly baked bread still lingers after hyunjin spent the evening trying to recreate his mother’s apple bread.

tiptoeing into the bedroom, you’re careful not to wake your sleeping boyfriend.

dropping your bags, you hear shuffling coming from the bed.

“baby?” hyunjin peeks from under the covers.

“oh- i’m sorry! did i wake you?” you worry.

“no, no, i’ve been up for a while. come to bed?” he ushers you.

“i will, need to shower first though.” you reassure your impatient lover.

he whines in protest as you bend to give him a quick kiss on the forehead before you maliciously abandon him yet again.

you hurriedly shower, eager to finally get some time with hyunjin after your long night.

finally climbing into your comfortable bed, hyunjin turns around to wrap his arms around you and hold you impossibly close, placing a few very soft kisses along your crown.

“how was it? did you have fun?” he asks, brushing your hair through his fingers.

“i guess it was fun, missed you though. it’s just hard to have fun being away from-”

there’s that familiar sound again.

“i got it, you’re tired, go to sleep.” he spoke before kissing your forehead and unbinding you from each other.

rolling over and grabbing the baby monitor from his bedside, hyunjin mutes it before hopping out of bed.

he’s already heading out the door of your bedroom before you could say a word.

he told you to stay but you can’t help it. you follow behind him quickly, a man on a mission, his long legs carrying faster than yours ever could this late into the night.

nearly out of breath, placing your hands on his hips, you peek from behind hyunjin.

normally he would jump at the sudden touch from behind, but he was far too focused on the issue at hand.

“aigoo~ why is my baby crying?” he coos as he gently picks her up from her crib. he holds her gently in his arms and begins to ever-so-lightly rock her.

almost immediately she stops crying.

all you can do is sit back and watch in awe.

hyunjin has always been the favorite between the two of you, but you don’t really mind. she’s still your baby and of course she still loves you with all the emotion she can process at six months old.

she’s such a daddy’s girl and it absolutely melts your heart.

you sit on the chair in the corner of the room, overwhelmed with drowsiness. through tired eyes, you watch your boyfriend sing a makeshift song to try and get your daughter back to sleep.

“i think she’s hungry” he says as he turns to you sitting behind him.

except you’re sound asleep.

so once he’s finished feeding your daughter and putting her back to sleep, he gently scoops you from the chair, careful not to wake you— though not successful— and takes you back to bed.

you let out a whine in protest of him disturbing your sleep, but that doesn’t stop him from ensuring you’re comfortable. he tucks you in before then tucking himself in, settling into your previous position with your limbs intertwined, and placing kisses on your temple with some incoherent whispers in between.

forget his career, he’d rather spend his life taking care of the two of you if it meant moments like this.

if you ever search up the definition of a third wheel, a picture of lee heeseung would probably show up.

yes, he played a minor part in helping jungwon confess to you last week, but he didn’t realise it’d mean having to witness his two closest friends suck each other’s faces off every day at work.

“yah, yang jungwon! you have two tables waiting for your clingy ass,” heeseung barks, gesturing to the seated customers. you snort at your older coworkers grumpy tone, pushing jungwon away from you. you’ve found working with your boyfriend has a few minor cons; one being the fact he’s a constant, inescapable distraction.

when you try to turn around and get back to work, jungwon instantly grabs the front of your apron, pushing you towards him and chasing your lips once again. “are— you— deaf?” you mumble in between his pepper of kisses.

“mmh, i just love your kisses.

you raise an eyebrow. “and i bet our customers would love their drinks.” jungwon pouts as you walk away from him, promptly following the order heeseung has copied down on a sticky note.

two arms suddenly wrap around your middle, and it takes no detective to figure out who it is. “don’t you love my kisses too though?” he continues, resting his chin on your shoulder.

“mmh, they’re okay i guess,” you tease.

jungwon gasps, loosening his hold on you slightly. “okay? you guess?!” before you know it, you’ve been pulled away from the poor coffee you were making and shoved right against the counter. he scoffs confidently, “i’ll show you okay, jagi.”

before jungwon can get his lips any closer to yours, he’s abruptly pushed off you by none other than your coworker. “that’s it,” heeseung sighs, “you kids are in time out. jungwon, you’re serving while me and y/n make the drinks.”

jungwon whines, resembling a toddler who just got their favourite toy taken away. “what? hyung, you can’t do that!”

“just did. go on now, you’ll have all lunch break to make out or whatever.”

your boyfriend’s eyes brighten at that. “good idea!” he sends you a mischievous wink, walking backwards, “thanks hyung!”

“he’s obsessed with you.”

.ᐟ A/N: i’m never understanding why people see Tsukishima as someone completely mean, without feelings and horny all the time. The title of this are lyrics of this song of beabadoobee btw.

☆ His glasses have small stickers you put on them, sometimes they are in the lenses in a place where they don’t block his vision of course, or sometimes they are in the temples part of the glasses. Tsukishima never takes the stickers off, he lets them fall on their own and when this happens he always casually lets you know so you put on new ones. He doesn’t mind at all if the stickers are glittery, or pink, with strawberries or something girly, he doesn’t care as long as those stickers are chosen by you for him to wear everyday until they fall off.

☆ He learned origami out of boredom with youtube tutorials and learned to do several animal figures that he threw away after making them, usually he makes origami when he needs something to fidget with when he’s watching a tv show or a youtube video so the figures don’t matter. But then, he learned to make origami flowers and instead of throwing them away, he started to give them to you. The first ones he gave you were made in plain white paper and then he bought a pack of paper in different colors so the flowers would look more real. He usually hands you the origami flowers without comment and tries to be nonchalant as if it wasn’t a big deal but it’s obvious he gets flustered when you smile and tell him how pretty the paper flower is, he would grumble about how it isn’t a big deal and they are tedious to make, and yet you’ll receive another flower from him not too long after that.

☆ Tsukishima is not someone who likes PDA, so he won't be kissing you and hugging you in front of other people or in very public places, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t affectionate. In public he shows you his affection in small touches like holding your hand, staying close to your side, letting you cling to his arm and when he has to leave your side he’ll discreetly kiss your temple or your cheek. In private he would be a little more touchy but not too much because he’s shy, okay? In private he would be more comfortable in placing his arm around your shoulders or around your waist, he’ll rest his chin on the top of your head while hugging you and he’ll even peck your lips sometimes.

☆ The dates Tsukishima likes the most are picnics in the park, museum visits, going to the movies and having a movie night at his place. He likes the kind of dates that don’t require a lot of planning and are more spontaneous and in which you can be comfortable so you both enjoy each other's company, if you like dates like dinners and all that, he wouldn’t dislike them at all but the kind of dates that are more chill are his favorite ones.

☆ One of his favorite activities to do with you, is building lego sets. They don’t even have to be those expensive official lego sets, the cheap ones that are figures of anime characters or sanrio characters work perfectly fine by him. Usually you take turns in buying the sets either online or in a store, you always get one or two for each of the characters or things you like. Usually, the day of your lego date it’s in the weekend when neither of you are busy; you order food and get some snacks to eat, while building you talk and watch a show or youtube videos. Tsukishima actually loves to be doing something he enjoys to do with the company of someone he cares a lot for.

☆ He gets nervous and hyped everytime you go to his games.Your presence gives him a boost to do his best in the matches to show you how much potential he has, but at the same time he gets nervous of you being there in the public because he doesn’t want to make a fool out of himself in front of you. It makes him flustered everytime he hears you cheering for him, the tips of his ears get red and he tries to ignore the funny looks the rest of the team gives him or else, his face goes completely red. Even so, he actually smiles big and feels a little giddy when you hug him after a match, and tell him how amazing he looked and how well he did it.

☆ If you’re part of the team, he tries to focus on the match but at the same time keeps an eye on you and it’s quick to let you know what you should be improving during the game so the team can win. Of course, he doesn’t tell you what you should be doing better in a bad way, he just wants the team to win and wants you to exploit your abilities in the best way possible so if you don’t win, you won’t blame yourself. After the game, he will hug you and tell you you did a good job, he will tease you by faking to be arrogant when you compliment his performance but he will actually feel happy that you think he did good, it makes him feel good with himself to know that he was useful to the team.

☆ He's not the jealous type, but he is wary of other guys getting too close to you. He doesn’t like it when guys get too touchy or too close to you, it makes him uncomfortable and kind of self-conscious. He knows he isn’t the most nice people out there, or the best good-looking, he knows his personality it’s one of his biggest flaws and he’s afraid that you might realize all of this things and leave him for some guy that it’s better than him, that’s why he gets tense when other guys tries to flirt with you or gets too close. He has never tell you this because he thinks it’s embarrassing and dumb, and he can only hope that you don’t realize all his flaws, or that at least, you don’t mind them.

☆ He got matching bracelets for you. Tsukishima is not someone that likes matching clothes so he went with something basic like matching jewelry for both of you, but it made it meaningful so it wasn’t just an ordinary thing. He got two affordable bracelets first in the same color, then he bought two pendants that matched for the bracelets that would resemble you and him respectively, he went with pendants with the first letter of your names with a little fantasy diamond encrusted. When you were given the bracelet, you never took it off and neither didn’t he. It was an obvious but subtle way of letting everyone know that you two were together and that you belonged to each other, that was why Tsukishima bought the bracelets, he loves to see you wearing his initial and also loves the fact that everyone can see you are with him and only him.

☆ One of the songs that completely describes what Tsukishima feels for you it’s Glue Song by beabadoobee. The first time he heard the song, was kind of accidental but as soon as he heard the lyrics and searched for it’s meaning, he found a meaning to all of that he felt for you inside his heart. He can not describe all of what he feels for you or how important you are to him, but as the song says, he found himself being attached to you in a very unexpected way and soon enough, you became one of the most special people for him, it’s something he has never felt before. He can’t bring himself to be away from you, or to let you go, he just can’t even imagine it without feeling a heavy stung on his chest, so he is planning on spending his whole life with you, he knows it’s soon to be taking a long term decision like that one but he is sure that he wants to put a ring on your finger and spend his whole life next to you. You are just like glue and are stuck with each other, and if you ever consider to split up, Tsukishima would try his best to glue you two back together.

[4:59am] "Closer," Chan whispers to his wife in the dark, his arms tight around her waist.

"I'm trying," Y/N whispers back with a soft smile as she wriggles closer to him. "I think this as close as I'm going to get."

"That's not close enough," Chan whines in his deepened sleepy voice, and he ducks his head to kiss the girl's forehead softly as he attempts to pull her closer to his body.

Grinning under the duvet, Y/N loops her arms around the man's neck as her body presses flat against him. Her chest against his chest, her torso against his torso, a thin blanket of sweltering heat almost too hot inbetween their skin ... Y/N nuzzles her cheek against the muscle of his chest and kisses his sweet smelling skin gently, her eyelashes brushing against him as she shuts her eyes. She too, wishes she could somehow cuddle him harder, hold him closer ... but it seems their bodies are already as close as possible, and that knowledge is both comforting yet frustrating to them both. She plays with the softer hair at the nape of his neck as Chan rubs tender circles into the lower portion of her back with his warm hands, his chin resting ontop of her head and tucking her face into the little hollow beneath his throat. She can hear and feel a combination of his pulse and heartbeat beneath her - it's an exceedingly relaxing mix, and once again her eyes begin to fall shut. The couple wrapped in a luxurious bubble of increasing heat and affecfion foe each other, they fall asleep, their arms locked around each other and their bodies so strongly entwined that their minds just can't help but carry them to the same place in their dreams.

You shift in your sleep, feeling the person beside you slowly get out of bed. You let out a small whine, reaching a hand out to stop them. A deep chuckle echoes off the walls, making your heart flutter in your chest.

"I'll be right back, sweetness," Felix whispers before kissing the side of your head.

Your eyes flutter open, and they slowly adjust to the darkness. You watch Felix's shadow walk across your bedroom before he flicks the light switch on in your en suite.

He looks back at you one more time before closing the door behind him. You giggle to yourself, burying your face into your pillow.

You and Felix have been seeing each other for about six months now, and last night was the first time he's stayed over at your apartment.

A hum comes from your throat as you bring the covers up to your chin. The bathroom door opens up again and your boyfriend makes his way over to you.

He slides under the covers before shuffling closer to you. "Are you asleep?" Felix asks in a whisper, his fingers pushing some of your hair back.

"No," you whisper back, giggling.

Felix's arms wrap around your waist, pulling you into his chest. "I don't have to work today," he mentions, feeling his plump lips brush against your forehead.

"Oh, no?" You ask, tilting your head to look up at him.

He shakes his head and presses another kiss to one of your cheeks. "Nope. I figured we could go out for breakfast," he offers while fiddling with your fingers.

"A little breakfast date, hm?" You smile up at him before trailing your lips along his jaw.

He agrees with a hum, his fingers dipping under the shirt you're wearing. "But, for now, we can stay right here," Felix says with a chuckle, nuzzling his face into your neck.

His hair tickles your skin as you wrap your arms around his neck. "I like the sound of that," you mention with a smile, combing your fingers through his hair.

"You know," Felix whispers while pulling back from you, his eyes meeting yours, "I adore you so much."

Your cheeks blush, and you fondly smile at him. "I adore you, Lixie."

He rests one of his hands on your cheek, caressing your skin. Your stomach does a couple of flips as Felix presses his lips to yours. A deep breath comes from your nose, kissing him back.

You drape a leg over his, your lower half pressed against his. He slides his hand down your body, the rings he's wearing feeling cool against your bare skin.

"I could spend the rest of my life with you," Felix mumbles into the kiss, his nose brushing yours.

A gasp leaves your lips, and you meet his dark brown eyes. "Really?" You whisper, your cheeks becoming warm. "You want to spend the rest of your life with me?"

"Yeah, sweetness. I haven't been this happy in a long time."

Tears pool in your eyes, and you hide your face. "I love you," you whisper.

Felix's chest vibrates as he chuckles. "I love you, sweetness."

It started with a panda.

Or rather, it started with you, lounging on the couch with a ridiculous animal-print face mask plastered to your face, scrolling through your phone like nothing was out of the ordinary. You wore it like a second skin—completely unbothered, completely at peace.

And then Tsukishima walked in.

He froze halfway through the doorway of your shared apartment, one brow raised as he took in the sight of you in your oversized hoodie, face glistening with a panda-shaped sheet mask.

“...You good?”

“Thriving,” you said simply, not even bothering to look up.

He didn’t respond right away. Just dropped his bag by the door and walked in with that usual lazy gait, eyeing you like you were some sort of cryptid he wasn’t sure how to handle.

“You look ridiculous,” he said eventually, standing behind the couch now, arms crossed.

You peeked up at him with a smirk. “That’s rich coming from someone who used to wear sport goggles indoors.”

He narrowed his eyes at you. You stuck your tongue out.

“Is this one of those self-care things?” he asked, nose wrinkling slightly as he stared at the mask. “Like cucumbers-on-the-eyes and bath bombs?”

“Exactly that,” you nodded. “Except these ones are more fun. They have animals on them.” You pointed to the half-empty package on the coffee table. “You wanna be a tiger or a polar bear?”

He stared at you.

You stared back.

“Absolutely not,” he said flatly.

“You’re doing it.”

“No, I’m not.”

“Yes, you are.”

You were already peeling one of the masks from its packaging with careful fingers, holding it up like a peace offering. It was orange-striped with little ears on top. Then you reached behind you and grabbed a matching tiger-print headband, complete with pointy ears.

"And this," you said, holding it up triumphantly. "To keep your hair out of your face."

He looked positively scandalized. "There is no way I—"

"Oh, you are," you cut in, already nudging it toward him. "C'mon, Kei. Don't you want the full experience?"

He looked at the headband, then at you, then back at the headband like it personally offended him. But when you wiggled your brows at him and smiled with full confidence, he muttered something under his breath and snatched it from your hand.

"You owe me so much for this."

"Add it to my tab."

He rolled his eyes but said nothing as you helped him unfold the mask and carefully place it over his face.

“Okay, hold still. It has to line up with your eyes… okay, a little to the left—no, my left… there.”

You leaned back to admire your work. Tsukishima, volleyball star, tall and smug and forever exasperated, now sat beside you wearing a bright orange tiger face mask that made his scowl look ten times funnier.

“...You look adorable.”

“I look like a joke,” he said dryly.

You took a photo.

“Delete it.”

“Never.”

Despite all his complaining, Tsukishima stayed there with you for the full fifteen minutes, arms crossed and huffing dramatically every so often. But he didn’t move. And when you started scrolling through your phone again, his thigh pressed just a little closer to yours.

And when the timer went off and you both peeled the masks off with grossed-out noises, you glanced at him with a grin.

“So?”

“So what?”

“Do you feel refreshed and radiant?”

Tsukishima rolled his eyes. “I feel sticky.”

You laughed and leaned over to kiss his cheek. “You’re glowing, tiger boy.”

He shook his head but didn’t push you away. In fact, a small, reluctant smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.

Maybe face masks weren’t the worst way to spend a lazy evening.
