all you did was send him a text. you were asking him to buy some painkillers on the way home. but now sunghoon is standing by the door frame, panting and sweating. he looked like he just ran for a few blocks.

“are you okay?” he asked still huffing and puffing. his hair was messy all over the place. you could see his jaw dripping with sweat.

“i think i should've been the one asking,” you looked at him full of concern, “gosh, are you okay?” you were going to stand to get him water but the stomach cramps were holding you back.

sunghoon noticed your pained motion. he walked to get closer. his hand busy searching for something in his filled-up plastic bag, “it's your period pain, is it?” he asked with his focus still on the plastic bag.

you nodded quietly. it's that time of the month when every part of your body is in pain. you've been curling on the sofa watching your favorite tv shows in an attempt to distract yourself from the pain. but it comes to nothing. so you asked your boyfriend to get some ibuprofen on his way home. you didn't expect him to dash all the way home.

“here,” sunghoon handed you a bottle of pills. he put the plastic bag on the coffee table and went to the kitchen. you watched him walk back with a glass of water.

you smiled as he passed the glass to you, “thank you for running all the way home for this,” you took the painkiller while sunghoon was busy going through his groceries.

“do you want a hot chocolate or a tea?” he asked weighing an instant hot chocolate and bags of tea. you grinned graciously. he continued, “it's your favorite jasmine tea.”

you shook your head and reached for his hands, “thank you so much, babe. really,” you pulled him closer for a hug.

sunghoon softly chuckled, “i'm kind of sweaty, though,” he said, glancing at you to make sure you were okay.

you hummed in comfort, “i don't mind,” you said muffled in his hug. his hands move in a slow motion on your back. hoping it would ease your pain.

sunghoon put a long kiss on your shoulder, “just tell me when it gets too painful, okay?” you nodded in respond while his hands still gently rubbing your back, “i'll do anything to make you feel better.”

you felt a gentle nudge at your shoulder followed by a small, “hey.”

it was your boyfriend, jay, and at the sight of him, you smiled.

you two decided to go on an adventurous date together, and instead of taking the car, you thought, why not try taking the bus instead? it took a lot of convincing for your rich boyfriend to finally comply, but eventually, he did…

which lead you to where you two were, sitting at the bus stop together, deciding it would be your meeting spot for the day.

“hey,” you greeted back with a smile and a reciprocated nudge to his side.

after a few minutes, your bus eventually arrived and you two hopped on together, finding two seats beside each other near the back.

“jay?”

“yes, love?” he replied softly, turning his head to look at you attentively.

“i’m tired.”

he smiled and nodded, slightly surprising you when you felt his hand tug at your sleeve, pulling you even closer to him before he wrapped his arm around you, holding you near.

you smiled and rested your head on his shoulder before you heard him let out a soft chuckle, “usually i’m the one who’s always sleepy, and the day just started and here, you’re the one who’s tired.”

you elbowed his side playfully, causing him to let out an exaggerated grunt of pain.

“whatever, just wake me up once we’re there,” you said, closing your eyes and adjusting your body to get more comfortable as you nuzzled your head deeper into the crook of his neck.

he chuckled softly before massaging your arm lovingly, just enjoying each other’s presence as you two made your way to begin your day together.

a/n. i hate feeling homesick >:( i love jay btw did you know that? did i mention that i love him? no i said i love him? guys i think i love jay?

everyone was having fun.

jake decided to plan a small game night and it went absolutely chaotic. but you loved it.

the way riki and sunoo were kicking each other’s ankles during twister. or how sunghoon was grinning about being the richest in monopoly just to realise that he spend all of his money on a place that people barely walk step on. and when jake and heeseung durning charades had to interpret you and jay, as a couple, you lost it.

but whilst playing uno, you zoned out a bit. the sudden nostalgia hit you because it’s been so long since you played uno. the last time you did was way before you moved to korea. you remembered how your dad thought no one can see he’s cheating and your sister getting all pouty about it. and the loser had to do the dishes…

"okay, let’s order something. i’m hungry!" jake announced and stood up, looking for his phone.

jay noticed that you’re mentally somewhere else and was about to as if everything’s okay but jungwon tugged his sleeve.

he turned around to meet his soft gaze.

"pizza or ramyeon?"

you took a deep sigh and decided to take a breath of fresh air. good thing that there was a balcony nearby.

jay turned around and frowned, confused by your disappearance. he stood up from the floor and smiled tenderly to himself, spotting you on the balcony.

"hey, you’re there?" his voice rung out in the silence. because he slid the glass door open, you could hear the chatter of boys in the background.

"yeah" you hummed, turning your head to look at him. your boyfriend stepped outside, closing the door and cutting off the noise.

"are you though? you seem… absent" jay sat down next to you, on a wooden bench. you sighed and looked up at the starry sky. the moon was high up, peeking through the high buildings.

you sat in silence, gathering your thoughts. jay grabbed a nearby blanket and covered you with it.

"i miss home…" you mumbled, putting up your legs and pressing your knees to your chest. there was a strange buzzing feeling inside you, that you knew too well and didn’t want to let out. not now.

jay nodded, brows furrowing slightly.

"i was… so happy to move out, start a new life. but i miss them" you whispered, knowing that if you continue, your voice would probably break.

so instead you rested your head on jay’s shoulder, sighing. his arm wrapped around you, bringing you even closer. the smell of his cologne mixed with his… his scent that you loved so much, hit your nose.

"i understand what you feel" he answered after a while, fingers brushing up and down on your skin in a soothing motion "i miss my family too. i know it’s hard. but…"

you rose your chin a bit to look at him. when he was with you, he allowed himself to relax. his features softened, pure care and love in his ebony eyes.

"…but i like to think that you’re my home now"

the buzzing feeling turned into a heat wave spreading on your body, heart skipping a beat.

"i do miss them. but i have you, y/n. my home, my love" he hummed and looked down, locking eyes with you.

you wanted to say something. to react somehow. but his words made your heart melt and brain halting in so many ways that you physically couldn’t. but he didn’t need reassurance. he could read you like an open book and he knew.

and the softest smile you’ve ever seen painted on jay’s lips. you’d probably stay like that for a while, puppy eyes locked with each other but–

a chorus of ouch and hey echoed through Hybe's silent hallways. Jay was practically dragging Sunghoon by the ear while the younger kept on whining about how he's going to rip his ear off, some staffs that they would bump into would just brush it off as one of their daily bickerings

soon enough once they reached the meeting room, Jay finally let go of Sunghoon's ear. he opened the door while his fellow 02z was busy complaining about how his ears were now red, to which Jay ignored.

with all eyes on them, Sunghoon silently followed Jay to sit beside him, still holding his ear with his fingers

"well, that's about everyone. i believe we can start the meeting now?" one of the managers asked and everyone nods in response

even though he knew you were just being playful, he adored you, especially in times like these—because truth be told, he loved seeing you in his hoodies.

you watched as he removed his hoodie from his body, something which was always so attractive to you. that was one reason you loved receiving his hoodies, though you’d never admit it.

being the gentleman of a boyfriend he was, he helped the hoodie onto you, your head quickly popping out from the fabric, and jungwon’s eyes crinkled into a smile of adoration for you.

once you got the piece of clothing on, you sighed with a grin, more than happy to be in one of his extremely comfortable hoodies.

jungwon quickly looked you up and down, butterflies erupting in his stomach at the sight of you in his clothes, a feeling that never seemed to fade even after all this time. he couldn’t help but lean forward and place a soft and short kiss on your lips with a smile. and once he pulled back, it left you wanting more. you frowned.

noticing your sad state, jungwon chuckled before bringing you closer and kissing you more.

as he pulled back, he continued to leave a few last pecks, not only on your lips again, but also some on your cheeks, nose and forehead.

lost in the moment, even after jungwon pulled away, you were snapped back to reality when his voice started, “better?”

sleeping over at your boyfriend’s house for the first time was a bit nerve wracking. not that you had anything to be nervous about, it was just new.

you completed your nighttime routine as quickly as you could, knowing that sunghoon was probably waiting for you in his room. once you cleaned up and turned off the lights, you went into the man’s room to see him dead asleep. he had seemed tired as the two of you watched a movie earlier, fighting the drowsiness that threatened to take over.

you hesitantly moved towards the bed, turning off the small lamp near the mattress before you could climb in. sunghoon’s eyelids fluttered open at that, looking at you with tired eyes.

“i…i didn’t mean to wake you.” you whispered, feeling slightly guilty. sunghoon didn’t say a word, simply raising the blanket so you could slip under it. you smiled, climbing in next to sunghoon and tucking yourself into his body. the man immediately wrapped his arms around you and pulled you impossibly closer.

“i love you.” he mumbled, kissing the top of your head. your stomach flipped at the affection and you hid your face in his chest.

“i love you more.”

“impossible.” sunghoon replied, causing you to look up and see that his eyes were closed again.

“go to sleep.” you giggled once he began to nuzzle his nose on top of your head. being sleepy seemed to make sunghoon even more affectionate than usual.

“can’t. how can you expect me to sleep when i’ve got a pretty girl in my arms.” he mumbled with slurred words before kissing your face all over. the amount of butterflies in your stomach increased by a tenfold, but the feeling was something you cherished. you loved the way sunghoon made you feel.

“always the romantic.” you replied sarcastically, causing sunghoon to let out a small laugh. he then captured your lips in a short kiss before pulling away slightly, his nose brushing against yours.

“seriously though, i love you a lot.
