okok for those who voted on the poll hear me out. i am working on the rent a bf au beomgyu fic but i realised quickly that it might take a while nsfdwgdfs so for those who wanted ot7 first stay winning!!! im soooo bad at these sorts of posts so pls bear with me as i get comfortable with this format hehehehhe ><

heeseung is clingy in moments of mundanity. it was almost unusual how his generally reserved nature seemed to melt away the moment things went quiet. whether in the morning, when he trailed after you like an unrelenting shadow as you went about getting ready even despite him having nowhere to be, or on long train rides, where he would rest his head on your shoulder and hold your waist tight, he always sought you out in the little bits of time throughout the day when time seemed to slow down, as if to savour the feeling of the clock ticking second by second with you by his side.

jay is clingy when tired. you struggle to think of anyone in your life that works as hard as your boyfriend does, so when he finally feels it all catch up to him in the early afternoon and a nap is due, it becomes his mission to locate you as soon as possible. he shrugs any other attempts to communicate from others off as he focuses solely on his task and sighs with relief when you always accept him with open arms, eager to soothe his shoulders tense with the impossible weight of his daily responsibilities, even if it means abandoning whatever you were occupied with prior to curl up on the couch with him and bury your fingers in tufts of his hair with his forehead pressed against your collar.

jake is clingy around others. something about having you next to him as he chatters around his congregation of friends sprawled out over a mountain of blankets and cushions, movie long abandoned for conversations filled with giggles and smiles that lingered in the light of the television, has butterflies fluttering in his stomach for a reason he can’t explain but eagerly accepts. he wraps his arm around your shoulders and presses his head against yours, hands laced together as you blush and stammer over the way the group oohs and aahs over his unabashed displays of affection, and he surmises that it must just be that he loves to show the world how lucky he is to have you.

sunghoon is clingy in moments of joy. sunghoon sometimes struggles with showing affection, instead relying on carefully crafted messages and sticky notes stuck to the fridge haphazardly as he leaves for work to express his feelings when they overflow and spill out in a way he can’t ignore and simply has to put into words–but when he can’t keep the air in his lungs and doubles over in laughter, eyes twinkling and lips pulled into a delirious smile, he feels almost dizzy with happiness when he pulls you into his embrace, tucking his flushed face into your hair and pressing a chaste kiss beneath your ear when he can finally breathe again. 

sunoo is clingy when upset. there’s little he dreads more than when that dark cloud hanging over his head decides to descend upon him at the end of a hard day, a bitter taste filling his mouth while he fights the urge to crawl under his covers and lock the door—but before he can think you’re there like an angel and looking at him with all of the care in the world as you ask him what’s wrong and he can’t help but be pulled into your orbit, immediately stepping into your open arms and letting his sadness spill out against the fabric of your sweater, praying silently that next time you would be there again to hold him.

jungwon is clingy in moments of failure. being someone who is generally hard on himself irrespective of success or failure, it only hits him harder when those ugly feelings of disappointment and regret come crawling up his throat when he truly makes a mistake, rendering him almost immobile as his mind whirs with endless questions. where had he gone wrong? did he not try hard enough? was there something else he could’ve done? only you can coax him out of this, with his face in your hands and gentle reassurances that have his doubts crumbling around him, and he can’t help but pull you in closer, hoping that he could bask in the feeling of your warm skin against his forever and keep his worries at bay in a way no one else ever could.

riki is clingy in bed. maybe you found it endearing initially, but these days you find it a gargantuan task to get to sleep with your boyfriend wrapped around you like a moth to a flame, limbs impossibly entangled in yours and soft breath on your neck. if you fidget or get hot easily, you have an even harder time cut out for you, because his grip on you is solid and he runs like a furnace. at one point, on one of the rare occasions that you could pry yourself from his iron grip, you tried sleeping in the lounge—only to wake up not even an hour later pressed against the back of the couch by his large frame, his eyes fluttered closed peacefully as if to taunt you. he insists he’s a heavy sleeper, but with the way his lips quirked up into a tiny smile when you sighed in resignation and pulled him closer, you find it hard to believe.

Having to grow up fast at a young age makes enjoying youth seem quite dreadful or not possible. However, you’ve also come to learn that enjoying your youth while you still have it is important too.

Being around someone like Jungwon brings that out in you. In fact, he feels as if he can act like a child around you too. It’s not everyday you manage to find someone that unlocks that side of you. It’s kind of healing in a way for the both of you. Planning dates to attend amusement parks or visiting places you couldn’t go to back then. “Come on Wonnie, this line is shorter and we can come back to this one later!” Dragging his hand with yours and trailing behind you is a smiling Jungwon.

SCROLLING THROUGH TIKTOK, the girl laid on the soft bed instantly making a starfish position while her phone just inches away from her face. a sad frowning face smacked onto her face when her boyfriend, sunghoon, had to stop paying her attention and focused on his work that was supposedly more important than her. . . for just a minute.

the girl scrolled and scrolled, trying to make time go past faster so she could finally cling onto her busy boyfriend again.

“cuz i love to love to love you…”

she stumbled across a video of a girl wrapping around a ribbon onto her boyfriends bicep, a little cute pink bow holding onto dear life trying to hang on his bulging muscles, it seemed very tight on his muscles like it was about to burst at any moment.

she gasped in the sight of how he did the smallest move, the ribbon SNAPPED. ripped out of his biceps. no effort whatsoever, it seemed like the ribbon just gave out.

then she had an idea ! she turned to hoon, with a cheeky smirk and a mischievous face. before turning back to her pocket,

she checked her pockets for ribbons, being a heavy ribbon fan girl, she always had spare ribbons. she checked the deepest depths of her pockets until her hands reached a long pink ribbon, as she squealed in excitement. sunghoon had heard her and turned around slowly,

seeing that his girlfriend was occupied and busy he smiled at how cute she was by the fact she was giggling all by herself.

“hoonie!” she beamed with a big smile, sunghoon fully turning to her, focusing on her with laser-focus. his attention not leaving her, “give me your arm!” sunghoon raised a brow at the specific request his girlfriend asked, but he didn’t mind. he handed his arm to her in curiosity, waiting for what she would do.

she had retrieved the pink ribbon from her pocket and then she wrapped it around his muscle, she gasped in wow in how she never noticed how much sunghoon had probably worked out. sunghoon watched her attentively while chuckling softly, observing her actions.

she had successfully tied the ribbon onto his biceps, “so cute, babe” her boyfriend wow’ed at how ‘cute’ it was. (def not just looking at his gf and not the ribbon. . .) “ackkkk!! it’s so attractive…. I’m sorry !!!” she squealed at the sight of her boyfriends biceps this time,

his red sleeveless shirt definitely didn’t help how much his muscles were exposed. she was a blushing mess.

“since when did you get so buff…” his gf freely squished on his muscles, still in shock on how his gains were so defined. “I guess I go to the gym too much.” he giggled warmly, his eyes still not leaving the girl.

but it all left her mind because she finally got the attention she wanted, “OHHH RIGHT. love it’s a tiktok trend !!!!” she adjusted the ribbon while he nodded, still laughing a bit. “do you wanna film it?—” she was soon cut off by the chatterbox, hoon.

“no… baby… I’m kind of in the mood to just hug youuuu yk? just cuddle to be honest…” sunghoon mildly whined and his gf scoffed at how cute he was but at the same time how he suddenly wanted attention. “okkkk fine come over here.”

she opened her arms welcoming sunghoon into her soft embrace, he soon engulfed into her warmth and felt like he never wanted to let go. “you smell nice, you look so beautiful.” sunghoon muttered softly, feeling sleepy while he was in her arms.

Sunghoon sighs in despair for the nth time again that afternoon, and Jay can’t help but give the boy an annoyed stare his way (not like it would change something, Jay has given him so many warning glances towards the boy yet the only thing the other did was ignore him… just like you exactly were doing)

At the other side of the room, you were chatting in a very animated way with Jake, laughing as the boy talked about god’s know what, and even if Sunghoon loved the sound of your pretty laugh, and how he felt funny inside whenever he saw your beautiful smile, he didn’t like it a bit whenever it was caused by someone else that wasn’t him.

Even if that someone else was his best friend.

“Stop glaring at them.”

Jay huffs, but decides to not add a comment (for his own sake more than anything. He wouldn’t be able to stand more passive-aggressive comments from the boy)

A ping resonates in the room, you keep your eyes on Jake as he keeps telling you a story, and Sunghoon whines when he realizes you’re not taking out your phone anytime soon.

One ping, two pings, three pings, and then, your phone starts going off like crazy. Annoyed, you take it out to look at your notification center, and after reading the new spam your boyfriend just gave you (“y/n please give me attention!!” “y/n i need u:(“ and a bunch more of messages of sad and crying emojis) you glance at him one last time, Sunghoon giving you a small smile, his cute little fangs in display to make him look innocent, before you mute the device, putting it back inside your pocket, and turning your face away from him to give Jake your full attention… Again.

“No way, did she just…”

Sunghoon mutters in disbelief (and Jay laughs under his breath at the exchange he just witnessed). There was no way you just ignored him, right? Sunghoon Park is flabbergasted, because how could you ignore him? Your lovely, handsome, caring, beautiful boyfriend?

He just wanted your attention, why weren’t you giving it to him? Why were you giving it to his best friend?

Frowning, he stands up from his seat and walks towards you while making up his mind, and when he approaches you, you don’t even have enough time to run away before you see the world getting upside down, your boyfriend throwing you over his shoulder in a quick movement.

“Sunghoon? What are you— Hey! Put me down right now!”

But the boy doesn’t listen, instead, he gives Jake a small thumbs up while saying “I’m going to be stealing my significant other right now, see you.” You give Jake an apologetic smile, the boy just shrugging it off and giving you a reassuring smile before he sees you and Sunghoon (more like, Sunghoon stealing you away) disappear behind the door of his room.

Throwing you in the bed, you sit and frown at him.

“Hey! That was mean! I was talking to Jake.”

“And? You’ve already talked enough to him! Give me attention!”

You roll your eyes, crossing your arms in front of your chest as you pout in annoyance, making Sunghoon coo in endearment.

“You look so cute when you’re annoyed,” the boy says, grabbing both of your cheeks and pressing them together.

“And you’re so annoying when you’re behaving like this.”

He rolls his eyes offended. Sitting beside you, he wraps his arms around your waist, nuzzling his nose in your neck. “I’m not! I just wanted attention,” you hear his muffled whines against you, making you laugh a little bit. “Don’t laugh at me! Why wouldn’t you give your attention to your handsome, perfect boyfriend, huh? Why would you ignore him like that? He needs your attention and love too…”

“Since when have you been this clingy?”

“I’m not clingy,” Sunghoon says, parting a little to give you a small pout. He looked like a scolded child. “I’m just saying that you can use your energy into giving me the attention and the kisses and the hugs I deserve.”

Turning around to face him, you cup his face with your hands, grinning when you see how his eyes shined with pure adoration and love as he looked at you.

Sunghoon swore that he could look at you for the rest of his lifetime and he would never get bored. You were perfect in his eyes.

Joining your foreheads together, he pecks your lips one, two, three times, making you giggle (and that makes him kiss you again because he loves to hear that sound), and when he separates, he gives you a small smile.

“You have my full attention now, Sunghoon. Now, what do you want?”

Without saying a thing, the boy hovers over you and makes you lay on the bed. Then, he grabs one of your hands to put it on his head, as for you to take the hint to play with his hair, while he hugs your waist tightly with his arms and he lays his head on your chest to hear your calm heartbeat.

Leaving a quick kiss on your collar bones, Sunghoon closes his eyes and sighs in content.

“Now, let’s just stay like this.”
