id recommend you stay and read until tsukishima at the end, it got me good- i got it soooooo good
Akaashi:
Akaashi wasn’t the type to panic, but right now? Yeah, he was definitely panicking.
The party was crowded, music thumping through the floorboards as people weaved between each other, laughing and shouting over the noise. And somewhere in this chaos, you—his very drunk significant other—had managed to slip away from his side.
He sighed, running a hand through his hair as he scanned the room for what felt like the hundredth time. How had he even let you wander off? One second, you were clinging to his arm, giggling about something ridiculous, and the next, poof—gone.
He checked the kitchen. Not there. The backyard? Nope. The couch? Just a pile of people deep in a debate about conspiracy theories.
Akaashi exhaled, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Where are you…” he muttered under his breath.
Then, finally, in the dim glow of fairy lights strung up in the corner of the room, he spotted you.
You were curled up in an oversized armchair, legs tucked under you, sipping on a half-empty cup of what he could only assume was your last drink of the night. Your eyes were slightly hazy, but the second they landed on him, they lit up.
“Keiji!” You beamed, holding your arms out dramatically. “You found me!”
Akaashi let out a soft chuckle, making his way toward you. “You make it sound like we were playing hide and seek,” he murmured, crouching beside you.
You hummed, tilting your head. “Well… weren’t we?”
He sighed but couldn’t help smiling as he reached out to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear. “You scared me for a second.”
Your expression softened at that, and you wobbled forward slightly, wrapping your arms around his neck. “M’sorry,” you mumbled against his shoulder. “Didn’t mean to disappear.”
His hands came up instinctively, one resting on your back while the other cradled your head. “Just stay where I can see you next time, okay?”
You nodded, nuzzling closer, and Akaashi swore his heart melted right then and there.
After a moment, you pulled back just enough to look at him, your gaze softer now. “Keiji, you’re really pretty, you know that?”
He blinked, his ears instantly burning. “You’re drunk.”
“I’m right,” you corrected, poking his cheek. “And I love you.”
Akaashi’s breath caught for just a second, but then he exhaled, his lips curling into the gentlest smile. “I love you too.”
You beamed, pleased with yourself, and Akaashi decided that, even if you were a handful when drunk, he’d search a thousand crowded rooms just to find you again.
“Come on,” he said, effortlessly lifting you from the chair. “Let’s get you home.”
You giggled, snuggling into his chest. “You’re the best.”
Akaashi only hummed, holding you a little closer as he led you away from the noise, away from the chaos—back to where you belonged, right by his side.
Kuroo prided himself on being laid-back, the type to go with the flow, never too ruffled by anything. But right now? He was definitely ruffled.
You had disappeared.
One second, you were right beside him, laughing at some dumb joke he made, your fingers loosely intertwined with his. The next? Gone. Vanished into the sea of bodies, swallowed up by the pulsing music and dim lighting.
He had done a quick scan of the house, expecting to spot you near the drinks or chatting with a mutual friend, but when you were nowhere to be found, a pit of unease settled deep in his chest. His mind was already running through worst-case scenarios as he pushed through the crowd, his teasing smirk long gone.
But then—
In a quiet hallway, away from the chaos, he finally saw you.
You were sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall, a dopey, drunk smile on your face as you giggled to yourself. Relief hit him so fast it nearly made him dizzy.
Kuroo sighed, running a hand through his hair before stepping closer. “There you are. I was about to put out a missing persons report.”
You looked up, eyes lighting up the second you saw him. “Tetsu!” you cheered, holding your arms out dramatically. “I found you!”
He huffed out a laugh, crouching in front of you. “You found me? Babe, you’re the one who disappeared.”
You pouted. “Did I? I just… walked away for a second.”
“Yeah? And that ‘second’ turned into twenty minutes of me wondering if I was about to throw hands with some drunk idiot who thought they could steal you away.” He reached out, brushing his fingers against your cheek as if to reassure himself you were really there.
You leaned into his touch, humming contentedly. “Aww, Tetsu, were you worried?”
His fingers twitched, and for a moment, his usual cocky mask slipped. “…Of course, I was,” he muttered, voice barely above a whisper.
But then—before you could call him out on his rare display of vulnerability—he flicked your forehead lightly, his smirk snapping back into place.
“Do you know how embarrassing it would’ve been if I had to tell everyone my incredibly attractive, slightly reckless partner managed to get lost at a house party?” He tsked, shaking his head. “I’d never live it down.”
You giggled, wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling him closer. “M’sorry,” you murmured, nuzzling into his shoulder. “Didn’t mean to make you worry.”
Kuroo sighed, his grip on you tightening. “Just… stay close next time, yeah?” His voice was softer now, laced with something real, something unshakable.
You smiled, pressing a lazy kiss to his jaw. “Okay.”
He exhaled, shaking his head as he hoisted you up into his arms effortlessly. “Alright, lightweight, let’s get you home before you go missing again.”
You snuggled into his chest, sighing happily. “You’re the best.”
Kuroo smirked, pressing a quick kiss to your temple. “Yeah, yeah. Just don’t scare me like that again, trouble.”
But as he carried you out of the party, holding you like you were the most precious thing in the world, you knew the truth—Kuroo might joke about it, might tease, but deep down, he’d search anywhere for you. Always.
Bokuto had been having a great time at the party—laughing with friends, downing drinks, hyping up strangers like they were long-lost teammates—until he realized something was missing.
You.
One second, you were by his side, giggling at his ridiculous dance moves, your hand clutching his sleeve as you swayed along with him. The next? Gone.
At first, he didn’t panic. Maybe you’d gone to the bathroom or grabbed another drink. No big deal. But when five minutes turned into ten, and then fifteen, his stomach twisted uncomfortably.
His mind started racing—What if you were too drunk? What if you got lost? What if some creep was bothering you?—and suddenly, the party wasn’t fun anymore.
Bokuto weaved through the crowd, his usual loud energy dimmed by the gnawing worry in his chest. He checked the kitchen, the backyard, even peeked into a random closet (just in case).
Then, finally, in a quiet corner near the stairs, he spotted you.
You were sitting on the floor, head tilted back against the wall, a lazy, tipsy smile on your face as you stared at the ceiling. Your drink—mostly melted ice at this point—was resting precariously between your fingers, dangerously close to spilling.
Bokuto let out a deep breath, relief flooding him so fast that he nearly dropped to the floor beside you. Instead, he crouched, placing a gentle hand on your knee.
“There you are,” he murmured, voice softer than usual. “You okay, baby?”
Your eyes lit up the second you saw him, your grin widening. “Bo! I was just thinking about you!”
His brows furrowed, still searching your face for any signs of distress. “Yeah?”
“Mhm.” You nodded, lifting a wobbly finger to poke his cheek. “I was wondering where you went.”
Bokuto huffed out a laugh, shaking his head. “I was looking for you, babe. You kinda disappeared on me.”
You blinked, like the thought had never even occurred to you. “Oh.” Then you giggled. “Oops.”
Bokuto sighed, running a hand through his hair. You were clearly very drunk, and as much as he wanted to scold you for wandering off, he couldn’t bring himself to. Not when you were looking at him like he hung the moon.
Instead, he leaned in, pressing his forehead to yours with a dramatic pout. “You worried me, y’know.”
You reached up, tracing the furrow between his brows with your thumb. “I didn’t mean to.”
“I know,” he murmured, closing his eyes for a second before pulling back. “Guess I’ll just have to keep an extra close eye on you now.”
Before you could ask what he meant, he suddenly scooped you up in his arms, standing to his full height with ease.
You gasped, arms wrapping around his neck instinctively. “Bo!”
He grinned down at you, any remaining worry melting into mischief. “Since you had me running around looking for you, I think it’s only fair that you pay me back…”
You raised a brow. “And how exactly am I supposed to do that?”
Bokuto’s grin widened as he started walking—straight toward the center of the dance floor.
“By dancing with me, of course!”
Before you could protest, he spun you effortlessly, earning a squeal of laughter as he twirled you under the flashing lights. The music thumped around you, the party roaring back to life, but all you could focus on was the way Bokuto’s arms tightened around you, his eyes bright and full of love.
Maybe you had gotten lost, but somehow, you always ended up right where you belonged.
Tsukishima didn’t love parties. Too loud, too crowded, too many people acting like idiots. But he could tolerate them—for you.
He had been keeping an eye on you from across the room, letting you do your thing while he leaned against the wall, nursing his drink. But when he glanced over and saw you stiffen, your expression shifting from tipsy amusement to discomfort, his blood ran cold.
Some guy—some idiot—was way too close, leaning into your space, his hand hovering near your waist like he had any right to be there.
Tsukishima’s grip on his drink tightened. Seriously? He was right there, and this guy still had the nerve?
Annoyance flickered into something sharper, something dangerous as he pushed off the wall, making his way through the crowd with slow, deliberate steps.
He didn’t say anything at first—just slipped an arm around your shoulders, tugging you firmly into his side. His touch was casual, but his grip? Solid. Protective.
“Hey, babe,” he drawled, shooting the creep a deadpan look. “There you are. You ready to go?”
You blinked up at him, relief flashing in your eyes as you quickly caught on. “Y-Yeah.” You leaned into him, and he could feel how tense you were.
The guy had the audacity to scoff. “Oh, this is your boyfriend?” He let out a mocking laugh, clearly unimpressed. “Didn’t think you’d go for the quiet, moody type.”
Tsukishima’s golden eyes narrowed, his jaw ticking. He tilted his head slightly, feigning disinterest, but his next words came out cold, sharp as glass.
“And I didn’t think you’d be so desperate that you have to corner drunk girls at parties. Guess we’re both full of surprises.”
The guy’s smirk faltered. “What did you just say—”
Tsukishima didn’t even let him finish. He just arched a brow, looking bored. “You heard me. And unless you want me to embarrass you even more in front of everyone, I suggest you walk away.”
A tense beat passed, but then—like the pathetic coward he was—the guy scoffed, muttered something under his breath, and slinked off.
Tsukishima rolled his eyes, already turning his attention back to you. “Come on,” he murmured, steering you toward the back door. “You need air.”
—
The night was cooler outside, the music inside muffled by the closed door. You exhaled shakily, still coming down from the adrenaline.
Tsukishima didn’t say anything—just shrugged off his jacket and draped it over your shoulders before leaning against the railing beside you.
You glanced at him, surprised by the quiet gesture. “…Thanks, Kei.”
He scoffed, looking away like it was no big deal. “Don’t mention it.”
Silence settled between you, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. If anything, it felt… grounding. His presence alone was enough to calm the lingering unease in your chest.
After a moment, you leaned your head against his shoulder. He stiffened for half a second before sighing and relaxing into it, letting you stay close.
“You okay?” he murmured.
You nodded. “Better now.”
He hummed, his fingers brushing against yours before—very casually—he intertwined them.
“You really put yourself in the dumbest situations,” he muttered, his tone teasing but laced with something softer.
You smiled, squeezing his hand. “Good thing I’ve got you, huh?”
He rolled his eyes, but you didn’t miss the way his thumb absentmindedly traced over your knuckles, keeping you right where he wanted you—close.
Always close.

THEY KEEP ON ASKING ME, “WHO IS HE?”
Chat won’t stop asking, despite how many times you try to steer the topic at hand to something else. Their opinions on your current Animal Crossing build? Ignored. If you should crochet a cardigan or bucket hat for your cat? Little to no responses. Lavender latte or milk tea for Drink of the Day? Lavender latte wins, but Chat immediately goes back to your hidden boyfriend.
This is what you get for forgetting to mute your mic. You had a whole phone call about dinner before realizing your mistake, and now everyone knows that wholesome, cozy Twitch streamer lightberry swears like a sailor when discussing pork katsu and calls a special someone “baby.” It’s been clipped already, you just know. At least you didn’t put him on speaker.
“‘100 subs if you tell us his name?’” you read. You'll indulge them because indulging Chat makes for good content. “I’ll tell you literally anything else.”
If you told them his name, you would end up trending on Twitter.
“‘Is he also a gamer?’ Yeah. Mostly League, Genshin, Apex. He’s been trying to get into Valorant. Now, 100 subs, please.”
Felix, otherwise known as LixInABox, is a gamer and streaming personality who has nearly a million subs on Twitch. He has a partner, an elusive figure exclusively referred to as “My Partner.” There are rumors that My Partner (MP) doesn’t actually exist and that they’re a cover for his singleness.
“‘20 subs if you tell us his rank?’ Sure. He's pretty high in everything. I can’t ever duo with him, except in Genshin.”
When he started streaming, he was primarily known for his League of Legends skills. Low Masters on a good day, Diamond 3 on the bad ones.
“‘Show us a picture.’ You know what, I’ll do that for free.”
Chat is not happy when you pull up a photo of Marshal from Animal Crossing. To be fair, he does resemble Felix a little.
While they continue to pester you about his identity, you continue terraforming your butterfly-shaped lake. When Marshal walks by with a sandwich, you make sure to point him out.
“There’s my boyfriend,” you say as you glance at the chat, which is scrolling by so quickly, your eyes can barely keep up.
IT’S LIX
MP MP MP MP
LIXBERRY
You’ve got a ship name already? How did they figure it out? Did Felix reach a million subs? He joked that he would reveal who MP was once he hit a million, and you sort of gave him the green light, but surely he would tell you beforehand? You sit motionless at your chair and try to come up with a solution that doesn’t involve straight up lying.
LIXBERRY LIXBERRY
MP IS REAL
HE’S LIVE
It doesn’t matter what you do. By doing nothing, you’ve confirmed it, so you go back to how it all started—you call Felix, live on stream. You leave your mic unmuted intentionally this time.
“Hey, what did you do?” are your first words. You have his stream up as well, so you see the blush on his face. “You’re live on mine, by the way.”
“I didn’t do anything! They figured it out! I mentioned that I was gonna have pork katsu for dinner, and like five minutes later, they connected it back to you. What did you do?”
“I forgot to mute during our call,” you admit. “And I also gave them hints in exchange for subs, but I didn’t think they were anything obvious.”
He looks at his chat and laughs. “You basically told them what I’m famous for. And a picture of Marshal? No wonder.”
“My bad. See you at dinner?”
He smiles, and you can’t help but do the same. “Yeah. Love you.”
“Love you, too, baby.”
Chat explodes. You and Felix will never live this down, but it feels better than you thought. And you really don’t want to admit it, but lixberry is really, really cute.
HE’S THE ONE THAT’S LIVING IN MY SYSTEM, BABY.

sunday mornings was the best. the sun slowly creeping its way through the curtains and landing on you two, which were cuddled up together was definitely a sight to see.
jungwon with his natural and messy hair, as he jus woke up and you, with yours too. not a care in the world besides you two together in that moment.
jungwon layed between your legs and played on his console some games, meanwhile you were reading your book: it ends with us.
you gasped loudly as you read the next page. jungwon looked up from where he was lying and made his way next to you to see what you were reading. “what is it?” he asked curiously as he peeked at the page. “he jus- pushed her.” you said as you covered your mouth with your hand.
jungwon looked at you confused as he didnt know what was going on in the book. you sighed and put down the book. you started explaining to him all the events that happened in the story all the way to where you were now. jungwon gasped in shock too. “so he pushed her? jus like that?” jungwon asked flabbergasted. you nodded.
“let’s continue reading” jungwon said fully interested in the book too. you stifled a laugh as he switched off his console and made his way back onto the bed. he sat up behind you, against the headboard and pulled you in-between his legs so that your chest was against his. jungwon then rested his head on your shoulder so that he could read properly.
“you wouldn’t do that to me would you?” you asked teasingly as you turned around to face him. he cupped you cheeks and pouted at how cute you looked. “i wouldn’t no, because if i did then i wouldn’t be able to ever forgive myself” he said as he leaned in to kiss you. you smiled through the kiss and pulled away looking into his eyes.
“better not” you said as you turned back around. “and whys that mhm?” he asked before he started tickling you. you laughed as the tickle saga continued.
damn, jake with the ponytail will now not leave my mind ever again 😊

𝗟𝗘𝗘 𝗛𝗘𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗨𝗡𝗚 when you're talking; the way your lips move and the way your voice sounds, these are two things lee heeseung could never get over. he just cannot help but fix his eyes on your mouth shaping letters, so lost and so dazed. you might think he's not listening to exactly what you are speaking of but no, he is. every word and every tone behind it, the most interesting thing in the world. in his world full of everything about you.
"yes baby, i'm always listening, i love to."
𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗞 𝗝𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗦𝗘𝗢𝗡𝗚 when you're eating; the little expressions you make and the tiny little sounds that leave you are heaven for him. he could live his entire life making you what you love to eat and sit infront of you to watch you stuff your face full of it. the way sometimes you'd smear some on your cheeks or your lips and just wait, leaving it for him to wipe it away with his thumb or kiss it off because you just love it so much everytime he does it.
"you're so cute, i could watch you forever,"
𝗦𝗜𝗠 𝗝𝗔𝗘𝗬𝗨𝗡 when you're tying up your hair; the hottest thing you could ever do is put your hairtie between your lips and tilt your head back to gather your hair in a pony, neck stretched and inviting. it is a sight on paradise and jake swears he'll die a thousand times to see it. in a trance he is trapped and helpless watching you seduce him every single time and then squeal away when he leaves a little peck at the base of your neck.
"fuck can you do that again, please?"
𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗞 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗚𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗡 when you're putting on makeup; he absolutely loves sitting around and watching you doll up, or just see your fingers glide against your face like a creep. taking out his phone to click cute candids of you curling your hair, putting on ribbons and braids or record little videos of you putting on your lipgloss, zooming in on the applicator gliding against the plump of your lips, making it look shiny and so so kissable. he goes crazy.
"is it cherry? lemme give you a kiss, pretty,"
𝗞𝗜𝗠 𝗦𝗘𝗢𝗡𝗪𝗢𝗢 when you're laughing; the sound of your laughter, the little giggles and the big snorts, sunoo is in badshit love with everything. he lives to make you so happy you cannot think about anything but laughing your lungs out at something funny or giggling to hide the sweetness and shyness you feel at his words. to see your eyes light up, your smile turning into tiny sounds of excitement sunoo can never move on.
"the sound of your happiness is my favorite thing,"
𝗬𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗝𝗨𝗡𝗚𝗪𝗢𝗡 when you're asleep; the vulnerability and softness your features hold when you are passed out makes him feel so giddy, jungwon just cannot stop staring at how cute and peaceful you look. the little snores you let out are his favorite thing in the world. your hair falling over your eyes and lips, breath dulcet and cozy. he loves tucking the strands away, grazing your cheeks and leaving fleeting kisses all over, pulling you closer to him.
"how do you look so pretty even when you're sleeping?"
𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗠𝗨𝗥𝗔 𝗥𝗜𝗞𝗜 when you're checking out your outfit; putting on different dresses and twirling around in front of the mirror (and him), stopping to check your reflection in store windows and mirrors, riki does not know or understand why he feels so insane in love watching you do all that but he knows he looks at you all gogo gaga when you do it. sitting on the bed and helping you decide which outfit you look better in while his mind is all fuzzy.
"you look like a princess, my pretty princess."

[below the cut]
“j-jake-“ you pulled away from his grasp, heaving for air after that short yet everlasting kiss both of you shared secretly.
“you know we can’t be seen together.” as your flushed cheeks were on display in front of him, despise all of it, your mind was full of worries and anxiety of being caught by one of your family members or risking into a more intense situation in your bedroom.
“god, you’re so pretty whenever i look at you.” you scrunched your nose at your boyfriend’s compliment as he had a small smug smirk from your shy, silent reaction. you quickly turned your head towards the door, eyeing the hallway like a hawk to check if there was anyone near by and to your fortune, you can still hear the laughter and voices from the adults downstairs. you felt relieved, sighing softly.
your pondering thoughts became interrupted when you felt jake’s hand slither around your waist and pull you back again closer to him. you gasped, having both of your palms being in placed of his chest. he raised an eyebrow as you were taken aback from his gesture that was normal for him to do.
you were a blushing mess, however jake was smiling like a trickster- not giving a damn about what he’s doing to you, rather amused. you stared at him, observing how obnoxiously handsome he is with his hair being slightly disheveled up from your hands a few seconds ago, his hooded eyes gazing to yours and his lips being stained from your favorite shade of red from forbidden exchange that was yet mutual. the sight was scandalous but breathtaking. you wanted to stare at him for hours, like a painting from a museum, trying to analyze every beautiful feature that earth has offered.
as the moonlight reflected your bodies from your small window, jake felt a breeze from it. the window’s open a tad bit. he sat down on the little space your window offered for sitting. he admired your wavy locks being swayed by the night air and your crimson cheeks being glowed from the radiance of the moon.
both of you smiled in delight, contented with each other’s presences.
jake. sim jake. adventurous yet devilish. elegant yet charming. sincere yet … complicated to deal with.
as you met the rebellious individual, you had no intentions of befriending jake. you didn’t like his trickster behavior in front of his friends, spreading unhumorous jokes, say the meanest things about teachers and most of all having an egotistical mind that one cannot top. especially jake, for he is not only annoyingly attractive but naturally intelligent in his studies. maybe that’s why you didn’t entirely hate his guts.
your parents warned you about jake ever since he became not only your new classmate but your new neighbor. how innocent looks can cover their sinful stunts.
the way he showed himself to you at a family dinner at your place, he wore all black clothings including black ripped jeans along with multiple rings on his slim fingers and a lip piercing being proudly displayed on the right side of his face. in spite of it, you were surprised how someone your age can look daunting to look at. it somehow concerned your parents how one can allow their child to have piercings.
you would rather be the opposite. your closet would be filled with soft pastel colors. you have two piercings - the lobes. the ones where you would get at a young age and you never recall as you grow older but yet looking at jake’s, you thrived the curiosity of one.
but somehow, it ease your parents’ tension against him when he became a smooth talker and how he was gonna major engineering in college. you gawked at him, comparing how you were gonna take pre-med in college. just wondering how smart can he be?
and of course, as a shy girl you would always stray away in making new friends as if you wanted to be friends with jake. at a family gathering, you were the first one finished with your meal and went upstairs to do your unfinished homework. as a result, jake’s parents admired you for your hard work and dedication, wishing that their son can do the same instead of partying and socializing. not that there’s something wrong with having an extroverted personality, but something to prioritize with studies.
perhaps you did do it on purpose for the sake of your ego against jake and to maintain a good reputation as a daughter in your family.
unlucky enough, jake caught your act rather quickly. he would always scan you whenever you would converse with someone, how your lovely smile would appear, your glowy brown eyes shining under the gleaming light, how he had noticed you have small dimples on both sides of your cheek if your lips curved, how you scrunch your face when you receive a compliment, and your hair look looking smooth. he wonders what it’s like to touch it with his fingers and smell the scent that your hair obtains. there’s many more observations jake silently took note of.
all of his thoughts are genuine. about you. everything he thought about you are genuine.
he noticed whenever you would quickly glance at him and immediately look down at your plate as if you were scared. you would nibble your bottom lip and fiddle with your fingers on your lap whenever the adults mentioned jake to you.
needlessly to say as he took interest upon your first impression, he wanted you to be on his mind as well. in a way that makes him be stuck in your head for days and let curiosity rise to know him better.
the first step in his plan, to offer you to be his tutor. it surprised his parents, amazed at seeing a drastic change in their son after being in your house for one night. although he might in a higher level than you are, he wanted to find a way to know you better.
the night he was supposed to be partying with his friends, it was with books and you.
it was awkward. you felt awkward. your mind had awkward thoughts. the two of you in your room together in the midday of an autumn day. although your window was closed, your body was cold as you were cuddling yourself with a fluffy blanket of yours while sitting down.
next to you was jake, his uniform was a bit crumpled and his tie loosen up a bit after saying, “hope you don’t mind.” to you.
you noticed how his hair was a bit out of place, having the urge to fix it as the perfectionist you are.
however, despite looking tired from his classes, he seemed curiosity and his eyes would sparkle whenever something in your room caught his eye. like noticing your piano medals spread across in a shelf or picture you’ve kept when you were in art class in second grade pinned in your walls.
“so… what subject are you struggling with?” you were the first to break the awkward silence, eyes glancing at the emptiness of your desk table hoping that it would be filled with a textbook of any subject.
“statistics.” jake replied after, gulping in nervousness to make any wrong move on you. you raised an eyebrow.
“oh!” you straightened yourself in your chair, making your blanket slowly fall down. your shoulders from your cami top were exposed to jake, making him take into admiration of your beauty from your single lamp open.
you looked at jake. “the test scores were given back today right? can i see your test score so i can have an idea in what to teach you?” you smiled at jake as a reassurance message.
jake’s eyes widened a bit, taken aback from your sudden request. you noticed the moment of silence, thinking that jake is embarrassed to show you but jake was thinking of something else. he didn’t except nor imagine this scenario taking place. it was something that might make you mad.
“it’s okay, i’m here to teach you not to make fun of you, you can be honest with me.” you nodded at jake, seeing him zip his back bag open behind him. he scooted his chair closer to you.
now you were taken aback from the sudden gesture that he wasn’t even fazed. his eyes were glued onto his folder but your eyes were glued onto his side profile. under the luminous light, it complimented his features well that you questioned how handsome can this boy get?
“whatever you do, please don’t get mad.” he spoke in a low tone. you distracted yourself with another thoughts, nodding quickly so you wouldn’t get caught doing the unforgiven, staring.
you gawked once he opened his folder, with the numbers written in red marker. a big fat 100 smacks you on the face.
“w-what..” you were in disbelief at what you were saying. you were confused as to why he needed tutoring when he got a perfect score. you studied so hard he night before the exam to get a passing grade of 100, but it only resulted in an 80. even worse, jake’s grade wasn’t curved. it made you be in a lost of thoughts as you glanced at jake. you noticed how his shoulders crouching down and avoiding eye contact like a guilty kid caught in the act.
maybe he can be your tutor instead which is humiliating to accept.
“you lied?” jake whined mentally at how devastated you sound. he was trying to quickly find a way to defend himself but what would he say instead of, i just wanted to know you better? sounds like a psychopath.
his lips trembled, “i-i .. okay look y/n..” you softened when you said your name with such delicacy and softness that it slowly made you forget being disappointed at him. “i just wanted to know you better, not as a neighbor but perhaps a friend since we will be often seeing each other a lot.. and i couldn’t find a way to approach to you without being weird..”
jake rambled with his words, slowly breathing in a fast pace after his chest was relieved from all of the stress he endured of defending himself. he looked at you with sad eyes, knowing that he disappointed you, that you probably never want to ever see him again and how you will snitch to him to your parents and they will forbid you to ever go near him again. but instead of crying your heart out, you chuckled in amusement.
“you wanted to know me better?” you asked again, appreciating the thought that he wanted to be your friend but in an unusual way.
“yeah..” jake lowered his shoulder, whispering his reply to you. he looked at you chuckling at him.
“we can be friends jake, you didn’t have to do all of this.” you slightly rubbed your eye with your index finger, tired of giggling from jake. “i know.. i guess i was scared that i might look like a weird guy to you.” he embarrassingly scratched the back of his hair with his hand. his hair bounced against his flustered head.
“well you seem weird from the first impression but other than that, you seem harmless.. i hope.” you scrunched your nose unconsciously, making jake’s heart fluttered from the dimples appearing on your face whenever you do it.
the more days spent with jake under the act of “tutoring him”, it was him tutoring you instead since he told you that he enjoyed math and physics. you thought he was a crazy scientist planning to ban away society from earth but the more time you witnessed him enjoy doing homework, you couldn’t help but think about him from time to time in appreciation that there’s someone who’s sincere as him. effortless and a natural.
during those moments, he did nothing but make you laugh and somehow make your heart flutter from his doings. it influenced your heart to be a mess. moments such as pulling your back bag from behind so there’s less weight and it’s lighter to walk with it while going home together from school, raise your blanket higher whenever it lowered from your body whenever both of you studied, and making your body electrocuted from the constant coincidental touches both of you share unknowingly. there would be times where you found jake adorable such as trying not to sleep whenever both of you were alone in one of each other’s room, whining in how a certain teacher sucks at their teaching job, and the crazy story times he experienced in his life. it made you realize how such a human can have so much impact in your life in less than a year?
nevertheless, you had to avoid each other at school to not let any rumours about the two of you knowing each other be spread across. jake completely understood as you didn’t want any drama from occurring in your final year of high school. there would be times where the both of you spared glances and smile at each other, missing each other’s presences deeply.
there was a moment where both of you laid in jake’s bed after studying, taking a small break before you return home for supper.
“y/n i’ve been thinking..” your heart thumped after hearing jake’s deep voice while closing your eyes. you never heard jake with this tone so it felt new and exciting.
you opened your eyes, turning your head to your right to face him as his stare was focused on the ceiling above him.
“i really like being with you. you made me realize how there’s always good in a bad place. and i really want to continue to be with you…” you sharped a breath when his picky was interlocking with yours. he finally turned at you and for once you were grateful that he didn’t witness how red your cheeks were becoming. you were become a mess at how sparkly his eyes were and beautiful his lips can be.
this feeling was brand new to you. you’ve never been close to a boy before as you were merely focused in your education. boys weren’t prioritizing your mind.
“do you like being with me too?” jake asked, softly as if you were gonna be broken glass. he was being fragile in case he will do something wrong to you. he spoke with hesitation. your mind was filled with memories that you spent with him from the past few months and you can’t but wanting to spend more memories with him.
“of course i do jake. every moment i spent with you, i feel free against the world that my parents created from me. you make me feel like it’s okay to step out of the comfort zone.” you smiled against your lips. jake soon did the same as you continued to stare at each other with silence, having a significant spark in each other’s hearts for the first time.
“can i court you then?” jake’s hand slowly creep to yours, softly grasping it. you looked down, your heart pounding as if it was gonna explode from your rib cage.
god you never felt more in love than before. “i would like that jake..” you sheepishly smiled, letting go of his grasp to hide your shy smile but jake didn’t allow that.
jake slowly took the hand that was covering your beautiful smile, taking his hand with it. you were silent, eyeing his every action as jake kept staring at you. it was like he was having a different emotion in his eyes that you couldn’t identify but you felt safe when you were with him.
jake pecked your palm and held it against his cheek. he closed his eyes, processing the fact that you’re now his and he’s yours.
and the fact that you have to hide it from your parents for now.
and here you are currently, “a penny for your thoughts pretty girl?” jake swept a strain of hair behind your ear. you shook your head, lowering your head in his neck to hide your flushed cheeks. you would always do this whenever you were feeling bashful from jake’s bold behavior and he loved it. that he was the only boy that made you be like this.
“it’s just you’re so beautiful when you look like that..” you whispered against his neck. jake raised both of his eyebrows, surprise at the sudden change in your usual personality. the position you were in, where jake was sitting down and you were standing above him. his legs being comfortably spread out so each of his leg is next to yours it made you be in a pit of nervousness and jake took note of it. jake always love how expressive you are with your own eyes as if it was telling a story if your mouth goes mute upon seeing his figure wherever, whenever.
“really?” jake’s hands slowly crept towards your hips, lightly massaging it before he pulled you closer to him, causing you sit on his lap with jake’s strength holding you still. your legs straddled his lips.
you looked down, realizing the situation you were in but jake kept holding his signature smirk as he was loving your reaction. he kept staring at you, swallowing the beauty you are in front of him. he didn’t want to get you go, thinking you are a dedicate feather ready to disappear if let go.
“well uhm,” you scoffed lightly, keeping a wide grin to disguise the apprehension from your face. as you were at a loss of words - not having a quick way to reply to jake, he took it as an opportunity to steal a kiss from your soft lips.
the sound echoed in your head, making your heart flutter listening to it. you closed your eyes again when jake stole another one.
you looked at him, filled with fond and passion. the silence aura, it spoke louder than words of how much you two love it each other.
you lightly placed your hand against jake’s resting on your hip comfortably with a small smile on your lips. you rubbed his fingers lightly.
“i love you.” as fragile as you sounded whispering the truth spilled from your lips, your heart never felt any less warmer with any other guy besides your secret boyfriend in front of you.
jake’s other hand, cradled your jaw. his thumb was slowly rubbing your cheek as his thoughts were filled of the words “i love you” multiple times. he didn’t say, but you felt it.
“i love you too my y/n.” both of your lips collided with a deep kiss after jake exchanged his romantic confession to you.
“y/n!” you immediately pulled out of the kiss, mentally whining that it ended too quick due to your mother calling you.
“yes?” you yelled back back as jake didn’t stop kissing you. he continued showcasing his love for you when his lips touched your neck, having little pecks as he was attached from your perfume scent you sprayed on before jake’s parents arrived to your home.
“jake’s parents are going home now! please send jake downstairs.” your mom called out. you sighed after you replied with okay to her.
“jake..” you called him before he gets distracted with his desirable thoughts of wanting to continue in kissing you. you ruffled his hair to awake his senses but he has beat you to it.
“i’ll go now my princess, i’ll definitely miss you.” jake pressed his lips one last time to your cheek before you removed yourself from him to get his things.
jake grabbed his glasses from your table and the flannel he tossed in your bed the moment he entered to your room.
this time, you were observing your boyfriend picking up his possession, especially with the gray sweatpants and a white plain tank top. simple yet still handsome in every way and form. you can’t believe that jake is yours.
before jake left, his hand wrapped around your door knob indicating his hesitation. “hm?” you hummed in confusion when you turned your head to see jake stand still. you were curious of what was holding him back.
“i’ll be at your window in 10 minutes.” jake looked back. his eyes were gazing your figure in your bed. you looked up at him and his heart still flutters just as he first saw you. you taken aback with this new gesture of his that you didn’t know what to say. “i-ill see you then.” you let out a smile. jake smiled back before quickly heading downstairs. you heard the mixture of his voice and you the adults downstairs as you fell sideways in your bed, making your head bounce on your pillow.
with his mischievous and brave acts with you, you’re certain that one day both of you will be caught but you never objected the ideal of doing so.

“honey, you know we adore jay with our whole hearts.” your mom says and you know it right away, she’s not going to let you go on a date. “but we have to go to your aunt’s tomorrow for your nephew’s birthday. she’s really looking forward to this.”
“i’ll wake up early, i promise, mom.” you say and she frowns. “i’m always on time!”
“you know that’s a lie, you’re always the last one and always late.” your dad butts in as he helps you and your mom with the dishes. “just one night, honey, okay? you’re always with him. even when it was your cousin’s wedding, it felt like you two were the one getting married.”
you frown and they smile at you. “we have to leave at 5 am. you know how traffic it is.” your mom says.
“and 25 years of being married and always going there, dad still can’t memorize the way there.” you mumble and your mom laughs, hitting her hip with yours. when you’re done with the dishes, you go upstairs after saying good night to your parents. you take your phone out, texting your boyfriend.
hey, wait for me outside the window?
jay <3: youre not allowed to go?
no,, but yk how i am
jay <3: yup i do.

jay <3: we can do it the other day
that’s what you always say, but you get pouty and sad like a five year old
jay <3: can you blame me?
im ready, r u there?
jay <3: yup
after putting your covers and blanket over the pillows acting as your body, you lock the door and go to the window, opening it. you wave at jay, who’s hiding behind the bush. he waves back, going closer and you climb out, closing the window as jay waits for you. he holds you by your waist, putting you down and he looks at you, frowning.
“one of these days, you have to actually obey your parents.” jay says and you kiss his pouty lips.
“they never told me to not sneak out.” you say, holding his hand as you two walk wherever your feet could take you.
the two of you end up going for a drive, watching the stars and talk about the most random shit ever as if you two weren’t going to talk later that same day. jay was a nervous wreck about you two getting caught and your parents getting mad at him, but whenever you told him you should go home, he’d go whiny and tell you that you two will go home after an hour.
eventually, jay takes you home. turning the ignition off and getting out of the car. jay goes to you as you climb out, holding your hand as he pushes the door close. he locks it, walking you to your house, since he parked a block away.
four in the morning. wow.
“see, we didn’t get caught.” you say and jay chuckles, kissing your cheek. “i’ll see you next week? sunoo’s birthday.”
“okay. text me later when you arrive?” jay says and you nod. “i love you.”
“i love you, too.” you say. “even though you almost shit your pants at the thought of my parents getting mad at you.”
jay shakes his head, chuckling. “i can’t have them disapproving of our relationship.” he says and you smile. “go, sleep. you need to rest.”
“thank you, love.” you softly say. “i’ll call you tomorrow.”
“i’ll wait for you.” he says and you climb up your window, getting inside your room. you wave at jay before closing the window and he smiles. jay goes back to his car, climbing in and sending you a text before driving home.
jay <3: good night (morning lmao), beautiful. i love you.
you smile, putting your phone down as you lay on your bed, closing your eyes as you let your slumber take you in with a smile on your face, remembering the night you had with jay. even dreaming about it.
but it’s taken away when your phone rings.
you sit up, grabbing your phone and answering it. you look at your side, seeing jay sleeping peacefully with his arms loosely around your waist. you press the phone against your ear. “hello?” you softly say, not wanting to wake up your sleeping husband.
many years after, you and jay got married, started a family just like you two always planned after graduating college and being in a stable place in your careers.
“mom?” your daughter says. “can you pick me up?”
“i thought you were going to stay over there?” you ask, slowly getting out of bed and replacing your body with your pillow in jay’s arms. you took some clothes, going to the bathroom to change in.
“yeah, but they invited people over that i don’t know and i’m kind of uncomfortable.” she says and you hum.
“alright, where will i pick you up?” you ask.
after your daughter tells you the location, you drive right away. you wait for her to get in the car and when she does, you say nothing and simply stare at her. she stares back and you chuckle. “what did your dad tell you?” you ask.
“not to go out.” she answers.
“and what did you do?” you ask.
“he didn’t say i’m not allowed to sneak out.” she says and you shrug.
she is your daughter.
“you’re not telling dad, are you?” she asks and you chuckle.
“tell your dad?” you repeat.
“mom, please?” she says, pouting. “i promise, i won’t do it again. and i told you that i was going.”
“of course, i’m not telling your dad.” you say. “if i tell your dad, he’s going to know i picked you up and i knew about you sneaking out. we’ll both be dead.” you say and your daughter covers her face, chuckling. “does your head hurt?”
“a little.” she says. “i drank a little bit.”
you hum. “it’s only five in the morning,” you say. “we’ll go home at seven. we’ll go get coffee, get you sobered up. when we get home, you tell your dad that we went out for breakfast and when he asks why isn’t he with us, you say because he was still asleep. okay?”
“okay.” she says. “you know so much about how to sneak out.”
“i did it a lot back then.” you say as you drive away, going to the nearest coffee shop. just like planned, time was spent sobering your daughter up and getting the smell of alcohol out of her. when clock strikes seven, you come back home, pulling up in the garage as you two go out and get inside the house.
when you close the door, just in time, jay, who is still in his pajamas, comes out of the kitchen with his hands in his pocket. “where were you two?” he asks and your daughter looks at you. you only nod towards jay, gesturing to her to go and greet him.
“breakfast.” she says and you look at your husband, smiling. “i got up early and mom was here, too. so i asked her to have breakfast with me outside.” she lies through her teeth.
jay nods. “were your friends sad that you didn’t get to go last night?” he asks and you daughter shakes her head.
“i’m always out with them, so it was fine.” she says and jay nods. “i got you some breakfast. i feel bad for not waking you up to join us.” she says, holding out a paper bag of food for him.
jay smiles, nodding as he takes it. “thank you, sweetheart,” he says.
“it’s nothing,” she softly says. “i’m gonna go to my room. i’m feeling sleepy again.” she says and jay nods. she comes towards jay, kissing his cheek. “morning, dad.”
“morning. sleep well.” he says and your daughter sprints to her room, looking at you with a smile. when you two hear the door close, jay chuckles. “she really is your daughter.” he says, shaking his head as he turns around to go back inside the kitchen.
you laugh. “how did you know?” you ask, following him.
jay smiles, opening the bag as he eats. “who always helped you sneak?” he asks and you smile. “she’s using your tactics, you’re using mine.” jay says and you laugh. “i’d be mad, but you bought me breakfast, so thanks.”
you shake your head, chuckling. “i love you.” you say and jay only smiles.
“i love you, too.”
— august 24, 2022. heeracha.
Kei’s phone buzzed as he flopped onto his bed, burying his face in the pillow before flipping over to check his notifications. No texts from Yn. Again.
It had been three days, three painfully long days since he last saw her. She’d gone on a work trip, and despite the constant messaging, Kei felt like he was starving. Starving for her voice. Her face. Her dumb little expressions when she talked too fast and got flustered.
He opened their chat.
Kei: Send me a pic.
Kei: I wanna see you.
Kei: I miss you.
He stared at the screen, waiting. Three dots appeared. Then disappeared. Then appeared again. His heart thudded like a complete idiot’s because, wow, she really had him wrapped around her finger.
Finally, her message popped up.
Yn: Miss you too, Kei. But I look gross rn 😭
He scoffed and typed furiously.
Kei: Not possible.
Kei: I’ll take whatever I can get. Even if you look gross.
Yn: So mean 😭
He rolled his eyes.
Kei: I’m serious, Yn.
Kei: It’s been 3 days. I’m dying.
Kei: Save me.
The little typing bubble returned, and then—finally—a photo.
It was blurry. Yn was in bed, bundled up in a blanket, hair sticking out in random directions. Her expression was half-asleep but warm, and Kei felt his entire body relax just seeing her.
Kei: Holy shit, you’re cute.
Yn: Don’t lie.
Kei: Not lying. Send another one.
Yn: No, you’ll get sick of my face.
Kei sat up, frowning.
Kei: I’ve literally spent the last 72 hours wishing I could teleport to you.
Kei: You think I’d get sick of your face?
Yn: Maybe 🥺
Kei: You’re insane.
Kei: And pretty.
Another photo came in, this time clearer. Yn was pouting at the camera, lips pursed in mock annoyance, and Kei actually laughed out loud.
Kei: I’m setting this as my lock screen.
Yn: You wouldn’t.
Kei: I would.
She sent him an eye-roll emoji, but Kei could imagine her smiling while typing it. He felt warm, even though the room was cold.
Kei: When do you get back?
Yn: Tomorrow night.
Kei: That’s too far.
Yn: It’s literally tomorrow.
Kei: Still too far.
She sent him a string of laughing emojis before pausing.
Yn: You’re being really soft today.
Kei: Shut up.
Yn: I like it.
Kei: Good. Don’t tell anyone.
Yn: Too late. I’m telling everyone you’re whipped.
Kei groaned and fell back onto the pillows, but his lips twitched.
Kei: I don’t care. Just come home already.
Yn: I’ll be home soon.
Kei: Not soon enough.
He stared at her last text for a while before setting his phone down, the tiniest smile tugging at his lips. Tomorrow couldn’t come fast enough.

the past year had been a painful rollercoaster of emotions, each high point you’ve had has been followed by a devastating low. you remembered the countless amount of nights you waited for sunghoon, watching the clock tick away the hours as he stayed out late, you had gotten so used to the sound.
the scent of his cologne lingering on his clothes when he finally came home, the way his tie was undone, the way he avoided your gaze when you asked where he'd been. your accusations of him being unfaithful were met with immediate denials, his words cutting deep even as he tried to reassure you that you were his one and only love.
"i would never cheat on you, y/n" he'd say, pulling you into his arms.
"you're my everything." he would say with that look in his eyes, with both love and a conflict he is fighting deep within himself.
and you believed him, of course you would. he’s the same boy who courted you for six months in university because he was so deeply in love with you, the same man who flew you both to hawaii and gave you the most magical proposal ever to be done.
you tried to hold onto the love and trust that had once been so strong, so unshakeable. but each forgotten date, each broken promise chipped away at your trust, leaving you feeling hollow and alone.
today, on the morning of your anniversary, you awoke with a sense of something different, hope for you and sunghoon.
this would be the day you reminded sunghoon of the love you still had for him, and always will. the love that had brought you together in the first place.
you spent hours in the kitchen, preparing his favorite dishes, your hands moving with practiced ease as you cooked. the smell of his favourite kimchi stew and freshly made kimbap filled the air, the same cooking he said he would never ever get tired off.
the scents mingling with the hope that maybe, just maybe, this would be the gesture that rekindled sunghoon’s love for you, you missed his touch, his kisses, the sparkle in his eyes, he still has it- but nowadays all he could really do is look down.
as you wrapped a red bow around the lunchbox, you grinned, perfect.
you drove to his office, each mile a reminder of the distance that had grown between you. as you walked through the lobby, your heart pounded with a mix of anticipation, fear, and longing.
the elevator ride seemed to take forever, the seconds stretching out as you rehearsed what you would say, how you would greet him, how you would kiss him.
but nothing in the world could have prepared you for the sight that met you when you opened the door to his office. sunghoon, your husband, the man you had vowed to love and cherish, for better or for worse, was locked in an embrace with his secretary, their lips moving together in a kiss that was all too passionate, all too real.
the box slipped from your hands, the sound of shattering glass, some pieces piercing your legs barely registering as you stood frozen in place.
you felt like you had been stabbed in the heart, you had never felt heartbreak before, and you didn’t understand people when they said everything hurt, now you did.
"y/n," sunghoon's voice broke through the fog of your shock, his eyes wide with panic as his hands trembled.
the hand with your wedding ring trembling.
"this isn't what it looks like honey,”
your chest tightened at the name, the name he couldn’t be bothered to address you as in months.
tears blurred your vision as you shook your head. the pain was unbearable, a physical ache that made it hard to breathe. without a word, you turned and fled, the sound of sunghoon calling your name fading as you ran. the drive home was a blur, sobbing as you got concerned looks from other cars, you were not in any shape to be driving, really.
but you didn’t care- your mind was reeling with the betrayal you had just witnessed.
at home, the same home you and sunghoon bought a month after your marriage- the home with six bedrooms because that was how many kids sunghoon wanted to have with you, the same home where you and sunghoon had late night talks, wrapped in each others embrace.
you moved through the house like a ghost, avoiding staring at the picture frame at the end of the hall, a picture taken on your wedding day.
your hands mechanically packing your belongings. each item you placed in your suitcase felt like another piece of your heart being chipped away.
you were almost finished when you heard the front door slam open, sunghoon's frantic footsteps echoing through the house.
“y/n-“
he cut himself off at the sight before him- the suitcase being packed, the sight of the wardrobe being oddly empty because your clothes would always be overflowing it.
"y/n, no.. please," he begged, sobbing as he fell to his knees before you. "don't leave me. i can't live without you, i won’t do it ever again."
you looked down at him, your heart aching with a mix of love and complete despair.
even after what he did to you, all you wanted to do was to be held by him again, all you wanted all these months was for him to finally long for you like you longer for him- how unfortunate the circumstances were, you thought.
his tears fell down his glass cheeks, his hands trembling as he reached out to you, you shivered at his touch, it felt so foreign, unfamiliar.
"i made a mistake," he cried, his voice raw with emotion. "i love you more than anything in this whole world. please, give me another chance- i’ll make you the happiest girl in the world, we’ll have six kids and we’ll grow old together!”
your mind wavered for a moment, the memories of your life together flashing through your mind. the happiest memories of your life with sunghoon in them, but you knew that staying would only be betraying yourself, that the trust between you had been shattered much beyond repair.
leaning down, you pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek, it wasn’t for him, it was for yourself. the taste of his tears mingling with your own.
"goodbye, hoon," you whispered, your voice breaking. "i hope you find the happiness you couldn't find with me."
with a final look at the man who had once been your everything, you turned and walked out the door, the sound of your suitcase trailing behind you as you tried to keep your composure at the hysterical sobbing from sunghoon behind you.
the drive to your best friend heeseung's house was filled with the sound of your sobs and screaming, each mile taking you further from the life you had known.
when he opened the door, heeseung’s heart dropped. his eyes filled with concern at the sight of you. he pulled you into his arms without a word.
"it's okay, y/n," he murmured, his voice a soothing whisper to your wounded heart. "i'm here for you, im not leaving."
you clung to him, your tears soaking his shirt as you let out all the pain and heartache that had been building inside you. heeseung's presence was a comforting anchor in the storm of your emotions, his embrace a reminder that you were not alone.
as the night wore on, you found solace in the company of your best friend, knowing that you had made the right choice, even though it had shattered your heart into delicate pieces, pieces you didn’t know could be fixed.
in heeseung's arms, you allowed yourself to grieve the loss of the love you had once believed in, the loss of your best friend, and lover. the betrayal, the heartbreak, all of it poured out in waves of tears and hushed sobs.
heeseung listened to you without interruption, his presence feeling like a heavy blanket over you and the world, comfort as you navigated the gut wrenching feeling in your heart.
"it's not your fault, love" he said softly, brushing a strand of hair from your tear-streaked face.
"you did everything you could." he said looking at you with a gaze in which you didn’t notice, you never did. the gaze you’d given sunghoon for years, the gaze he gave you long before you’d even met sunghoon.
"but it wasn't enough, hee" you replied, your tears rolling down your cheeks, voice raspy from all the sobbing, it was barely above a whisper.
"i wasn't enough."
heeseung shook his head, his expression filled with an ache in his heart and anger at your self doubt. "no, y/n. you are enough. you always have been. sunghoon's mistakes don't define your worth, he’s the dumbest man to ever live, i’d do anything to have you."
you turned to him, bewildered at his words. you looked down at his shaking hands as you sobbed wrapping your arms around him.
“i’m so sorry, hee. i’m selfish, you don’t deserve this- you should tell me to leave-“
he cut you off with a hard hug, you cried harder as his own tears soaked your bare neck.
“don’t say that- i don’t care if i get hurt, or you use me, i don’t. all i need is you beside me, okay? don’t worry about anything.”
his words, though comforting, couldn't fully erase the pain that lingered in your heart. but in that moment, surrounded by the warmth of your best friend's embrace, the love that radiates off of his body.
you felt a glimmer of hope, you were in no shape of moving in just yet, the road ahead would be difficult, filled with moments of utter pain and sorrow, but you knew that you wouldn't have to face it alone.
as the orange sunset began to filter through the windows, you found yourself at a break from the pain in your heart, staring out at the view in peace. heeseung's steady breathing beside you, the quiet hum of the world settling down, it all felt like a promise that everything would be okay.
you took a deep breath, letting the fresh air fill your lungs, and allowed yourself to believe that maybe, you would find happiness again.
with heeseung by your side, you faced the days ahead with strength. the pain of sunghoon's betrayal would always be a part of you forever, but it wouldn't define you. in the embrace of heeseung and the promise of a new beginning, you found the courage to move forward, one step at a time.

park jongseong, who's extremely paranoid about the maintenance of his glasses
park jongseong, who hates it when people try to wear his glasses, because it stretches out the bands of the glass-frames
park jongseong, who doesn't like when people try to brush through his hair, because it falls over the lenses of his glasses
park jongseong, who limits his screen-time and has a proper sleep schedule, just to keep the power of his eyes standard
park jongsong, who doesn't like the feeling of kisses, since the squashing of his glasses against his face make him feel uncomfortable. taking them off aren't an option either, he's afraid they might get dirty, with his fingerprints all over the lenses
then, there's park jay, who only makes exceptions for you
jay, who thinks he (somewhat) looks like a geek with his glasses on, but wears them anyway, since you said he looked "exceedingly handsome" with them on
jay, who'd let you play with his hair and brush through it as much as you'd like, just to see you smile
jay, who stays up night-long, watching movies with you in the dark, so that you'll fall asleep on his shoulders
jay, who thinks it's peak romance if he lets you select frames for him, so he always brings you along when he's shopping for new glasses (he also likes it when you gush over how good he looks in certain pairs; it makes him feel loved and confident)
jay, who, unexpectedly, loves the sensation of your lips pressing against his cheeks and forehead. so, he'll readily take off his glasses so it's easier for you to smooch him. plus, he's afraid the edges of his lenses might hurt you, and he doesn't want that.
park jongseong, who loves and cares for you so much, to the point that he's made changes in his strict and mundane routine, without even realizing it
