It Would Be Really Funny If, When You Raised A Dinosaur In Stardew Valley, There Was An Outside Chance

Ok after quite a while, I made my boi kyle his own sdv portrait!

I used this to have a blank base to build off of. I was originally going to try and just build him using one of the portrait makers, but none of them had anything that I liked for his hair. And the facial hair just didn't work for me lol. So I decided to do it myself :3

I have a little bit of experience making sdv portraits, but I gotta say it's a lot faster when you've got a base and some good references. Pixel art is so fuckin hard man. Like each pixel has to be placed so purposefully, and you don't have a lot of wiggle room with what you're trying to show with those pixels, if that makes sense. I have mad respect for those who do pixel art!

I'll make him some more expressions soon, cause I wanna make an ask blog with him!

(I still have to do some research to figure out just what to do, and I've gotta finish Kyle's refs lol. I also gotta make another portrait for his friend Cassie cause she's important to the story)

i wanna draw chonky shane

So i did a fanart challenge thingy and drew shane, and i've decided that i'm gonna draw him more pudgy than what i usually do

i've been trying to be more diverse with the bodies that i draw, (since up until recently, it's been skinny twinks and beefed up guys (absolutely nothin wrong with that ofc, i just wanna get better with different body types, and different characters in general)), and i feel like shane would be a good starting point

like the guy lives off of beer, pizza, and pepper poppers, he's probably gonna have a dad bod lol

and ig this is also a way for me to come to terms with the fact that i'm not skinny, and probably will always be a lil chonky. by drawing people with bodies more like mine, it kinda helps me to hate myself less, if that makes sense.

Honestly be pretentious as fuck about the stuff you create. Do a press release for your fanfic updates. Do a Q&A about your webcomic. Make fake merch designs for your OCs. Commission "official" book covers. Very few of us will ever get to a stage where something we've created Makes It Big but even if you have an audience of 5 people plus a shoelace fucking indulge yourself and pretend!! There was a paper in 2016 exploring how an ML model was differentiating between wolves and dogs with a really high accuracy, they found that for whatever reason the model seemed to *really* like looking at snow in images, as in thats what it pays attention to most.

Then it hit them. *oh.*

*this little shit figured it was easier to just learn how to detect snow than to actually learn the difference between huskies and wolves. because snow = wolf*
