Okay everyone, please don’t ignore this! I really need help!

Right now, my country is going through an economic crisis, and obviously, my family is low on money thanks to such situation.

My parents own a restaurant they’ve been building for ten years now, it’s helped us through hard times before, but right now, it may have to be closed down or to be sold because of our situation. And there are no available jobs right now. They had to send seven employees home(there’s only four now) and now they may need to send another one home, because they can’t afford it anymore.

As I said before, there are no jobs available, the number of unemployed people on the country at the moment is insane, if they shut the restaurant down, they won’t have any other options, we won’t be able to pay the bills and, at the worst of occasions,we might lose our house.

So I’m asking you, my friends, my followers and fellow artists on tumblr: please help me! And if you can’t, please signal boost this! Every cent I earn here is gonna go to my parents and their restaurant so we can keep a decent living.

This is a very selfish thing to do and I’m sure it’ll get like 0 attention, but I need help. 

 October 04th 2015, is was diagnosed with a very deadly high grade stage 4 appendix cancer. Studies show that even with treatment I have about 3% chance of beating this. for the most part chemo is doing a very good job shrinking the tumors, but the chemo will never be enough and eventually my body will build up a tolerance to it. In attempt to prolong my life for as long as possible, the surgeons want to open me up and try to remove everything that way. Unfortunately it’s a pretty spendy procedure, and my dad won’t put me on his insurance because he doesn’t want want anything to do with our family anymore, and my mom hasn’t been able to find a decent paying job for months and months, no matter how hard she tries. The hospital won’t do the surgery unless we have some sort of proof that we can pay the bills afterwards. If we don’t get the money, and I don’t get the surgery I have 2-3 months left to live. If you have any extra money it would mean the absolute world to me if you could donate to my gofundme.

Three years ago, my dog went viral on Imgur and Reddit, thanks to this picture I took right after she’d yanked down a post from the front of our house with her bare strength.

But like the image above says, this is not a good post.

That dog above, the one that made so many people laugh, her name is Eva, and she’s my 7-year-old lab. She was just diagnosed with canine lymphoma.

Without chemo, she only has 3 months left with us. But her oncologist has given her a good prognosis with chemotherapy. She could live to see her 9th, 10th, and even 11th birthday.

Which means more years of this happy, ridiculous puppy.

The price to extend her life? $8500.

I nearly died when I saw the number. I’m paying off 4 student loans right now, and my parents are in insurmountable debt. I thought, this is it, we’re screwed. In between crying spells and anxiety attacks, I realized what my choices were: give up and let Eva go in the next 3 months, or crowdfund my ass off.

Internet: you’ve done it before, now I’m begging you, do it again. Spread Eva like wildfire. She deserves a second chance. She deserves the extra time, and all the fun and happiness she’ll have in that time.

Awkward Everyday Lives Of Animals By Simpsons Illustrator Liz Climo

I made a relevant comic strip about tracing art after recent discussing this topic in phandom with @philslesters [here], seeing what happened to @pinofs and expressing my own opinion. I mixed all together and converted it in inspirating and motivating [as I hope] little story about two artists.

Also, the story with Nikki has a good end as well, and I know a lot of people trace art to learn. It’s okay! Tracing someone’s art is okay if you use it as a self-taught tactic [kinda still for the beginners, better use references, references are your friends forever] and don’t share it as your own work by changing few details. But if you really do want and love to be an artist, please, don’t trace. Don’t make the mirror out of yourself. Be a prism. Don’t make other people who worked really hard feel sad or angry. Work hard yourself and make other people happy.

Make Some Pocket Extenders for Your Pants

So I don’t know about you, but I’m often frustrated by the ridiculous smallness of girls’ pockets. At a bare minimum, I need to be able to shove my cellphone in there - come on, pants companies! So what I started doing was making myself pocket extenders. I’ve done this several times, for pants and shorts. It’s great.

I just got this pair of jeans, so I thought I’d show you how to do it. I kind of feel like it just hasn’t occurred to some of you that this is an option, so maybe now it will. All you need is your pants, some fabric (I just took a random piece from a scrap bin), a needle, and some thread (thread doesn’t even need to match the fabric since literally no one will see it).

See? Ridiculous. Like, half a cellphone, or only 2.5″. Useless.

 So turn those inside out to expose the pockets.

Figure out how big you want your pockets to actually be. I kinda go by whatever looks like might be right. I didn’t really measure them. Fold the fabric in half, so you have a pocket, and then fold it in half again so you can have two equal ones.

Try to get the edges to line up enough, pin it in place, then sew up the sides! Are your stitches crazy uneven and wonky looking? Doesn’t matter; nobody’s going to see it. These are in the inside of your pants. The only thing that matters is that it holds up. So I double-did the corners, since those tend to get the most stress.

Cut open the bottom of the existing pockets.

Pin it in place, then sew around, joining the new pocket to the old pocket. I did this by keeping my hand on the inside, so I wouldn’t accidentally sew through the other side. Again, I reinforced the corners, and didn’t worry about what it actually looks like. Then I turned it in side out to make sure the inside was all joined properly.

Yay all done! And the pockets are so much bigger now!

Whaaaat I can fit my entire phone and entire hand and probably something else now, are girls’ pockets even allowed to do that?! Heck yeah they are.
