ok, so, apparently the quote in the new walpurgisnacht rising visual says something along the lines of “let’s fulfill the promise we made that day. Even if it’s not what you wanted,” if I’m going by what Google translate’s telling me.

And unless there’s something that got lost in the translation that seems to be a direct nod to Madoka having Homura promise her that she’ll stop her from ever making a contract with kyubey again, which definitely falls in line with the “…even if it’s not what you wanted,” part of the quote. Homura technically fulfilled her promise to madoka by becoming akuma homura.

but clearly…considering that madoka is in a magical girl outfit and is seen transforming in one of the walpurgisnacht rising trailers…Homura also kind of failed. Madoka will make a contract once again, like she always does.

and it makes me wonder…is (presumably) homura telling madoka this before or after she becomes a magical girl again in walpurgisnacht? Because if this is something she’s saying after madoka made her wish…what is she planning on doing?

I’m going to presume it might have to do with time travel since that was her main power/one of her major motifs and the gears both girls are standing on do seem kind of remind me of the gears in Homura’s shield and the gears at the bottom of walpurgisnacht’s dress but the role walpurgisnacht is going to play in this movie is something to touch on in another post lol

also worth noting that in the visual madoka’s eyes are not only yellow like her god form’s eyes, but they’re glowing in the same way they previous glowed when madoka was starting to realizing something was off by the end of rebellion.
