A lot of "Minecraft is BAD" videos are really annoying because, like, there's actually a lot of things that could use fixing, yes, but you're just trying to turn this into 3D Terraria. I think a lot of people who make these videos forget that most Minecraft players are intrinsically motivated, rather than extrinsically. It's a sandbox game at heart, the vanilla experience does not need highly-controlled level progression.

Love that. My other favourite part is searching for titanium/adamantite for ages, finally finding some, then getting killed by something dumb like a skeleton archer and having to trek all the way back for an ore vein of 10.

my favorite part of early hardmode as a summoner has to be hearing clinking metal from offscreen, saying “that better not have been a mimic,” and not a moment later seeing a massive biome-specific chest launch itself across the screen directly at my head

Watched the new beetlejuice movie yesterday and folks, it was an absolute fucking mess, it had no real story consequences, there were way too many villains, and it was just speeding through the story.

And I absolutely adored it, it was so beetlejuice.

The set design and costumes were fantastic, and Michael 'douglas' keaton was great reprising it. The cast generally was fantastic tbh. plus some stop motion? Chefs kiss.

My dad didn't like it as much but he's more critical of the setting having precedence over the story.

Tldr, Watch it if you can and enjoyed the original beetlejuice, it's a laugh.
