the thing that gets me about about barbie is that barbie land wasn’t even purposefully a matriarchy, barbie land came about because of the way little girls were playing with their barbies, it wasn’t created by mattel it was created by the people using the toys, so the fact that the barbies ignored the ken’s and had girls night every night wasn’t because they had some bias against him, it was just an accurate depiction of how kids play with barbies. I had some ken dolls as a child and they were essential to the plot in the sense that of course my barbie has a boyfriend because that represented the world i saw around me, but also he didn’t have any purpose in my dream world because i was only interested in what the girls were doing because they represented me and how i wanted to be, I wanted girls night every night I wanted the girls to be president and austronauts and not because of some inherent feminist idea but because I was a girl and I wasn’t thinking about boys, ken was an accessory. this movie wasn’t made to change the world but it showed a different perspective than what we usually see which I thought was fun. Men don’t have to be the centre of all our stories and its not even because we hate them, sometimes we’re just not thinking about them

Updating after 7 months !!!

Just after the completion of my exams went to a wild life park to see tigers 🐅

Saw the tigers a total of 7 times on two different days , they were basically one mother tiger and her three cubs . Also saw elephants up close and different types of deers along with various kinds of birds

Nature is so beautiful ❤️

Ps : The photos are not very good quality cause we were more excited about seeing the ogres then clicking pics

So everyone hear me out :

I joined my current school in grade 3 and then upon joining I really really hit it off with this girl my age , she and I were basically the same person completely competitive and everything else . So we became like the best of friends in grade 3 and she ditched her previous best friend from nursery ( let’s call her ex bestie ) for me but like as we grew older we became more rivals and till grade 5 our friendship had fallen off and we were like okay friends . In grade 6 we became more and more competitive and then booom CoVid now fast forward to Grade 9 and we had different sections and her class was in another block .So we were like on okay terms but like I became really good friends with her previous best friend who she left for me and she too reconnected with ex bestie during Covid . So we were on meh terms till the end of Grade 10 .

Now From grade 11 we start properly preparing for competitive examinations in our country and it’s like cutthroat.

So , I prayed to God that ya know help me and guide me and boom

Now in Grade 11 we are in the same section !!!!

Cause we are both preparing for the same exam

Like y all This is sooooo bigggg and since we don’t know anyone else like we will sit together and everything …

Competing with my academic rival while we both pretend to be nice to each other and trying to beat everyone else in grade

(before any Eragon girlie gets excited, I'm sorry I wasn't the one that bought Murtagh, my friend was, I shamefully haven't read Eragon yet)

📚This last week was a mess tbh - which makes sense, bc next week is spring break, and the week before that is always chaotic. I had my first test, which actually went pretty well, I had the most chaotic classes, and I also made plans for the holidays (me and my best friend are going to her aunt's place by the beach, even tho apparently it's going to rain all week lol)

for some reason, this weekend I barely did anything, but maybe this was just some kind of reset before the holidays... Also, next week I'll probably won't be posting as much, since I'll be offline most of the week. Or maybe i'll queue some posts.... we'll see.

(lastly, yes, i was wearing a plastic tiara in the laptop pic. I needed a little incentive to study lol 👑)
