i mean yeah “crybaby” characters can be annoying but johnny def has a reason… i mean. he lost his beloved big brother and as result had his own father drop to his knees and beg the gods “you took the wrong son”… became paraplegic and lost all use of his legs because he got shot in the lower spine… like cmon imagine you went through all of that

and yeah the getting shot thing was definitely avoidable, because johnny was lowkey a jerk before he got paralyzed and decided to cut in line. yeah he couldve said no to the girl, went to the back of the line, or simply bribed the guy and took whatever answer he got. instead he decided to be a dick so i get that it COULD have been avoided but think about it. if he never became paralyzed none of sbr wouldve happened and he would have never went through the character development he did. he changed SO MUCH by the end of the manga
