Tis the time I remind y’all that my requests are always open, please ask for stuff, literally anything (this includes ship stuff like NY/NJ, just cause I personally don’t ship them doesn’t mean I won’t do what the people say).

Headcanons, art, lil mini fanfic snippet things, you name it I can probably do it. You can also just give me your headcanons, I love to see what other people have for characters.

The bees, they just flock to him and he does not care if they could “kill” him, they are FUZZY!!!! (Also yes the bee is the state insect, love those pesky things here)

Just imagine, it’s 2am, your just going into the kitchen to grab something to drink before going back to or going to bed. You enter the kitchen and see Jersey and idk Loui maybe, just talking, ‘cept Jersey is straight up speaking tongues and Loui is acting like he understands what is being said (he doesn’t). Just slowly back away without being noticed and decide to never go into the kitchen again at night.

Meanwhile Jersey was just talking about how the strawberry poptart ia aids and the cookies and cream one is the best, looking like absolute death cause of how exhausted he is lol (he is not responsible for whatever he says when tired, it’s nearly started multiple wars at once so when he is tired the states just take whatever he says with a grain of salt smaller than an atom)

Yesyes he loves his babyes and whenever someone even thinks about trying to tell him otherwise…well…they don’t 😊

I picture him to have like- reddish-brown hair like Mass since in my AU they’re twins, but his hair is more on the brown side.

^Also he has blonde streaks in his hair that kinda look like bee stripes since they’re his state insect last I checked :3

^BUT DONT WORRY- the bees he hangs out with are friendly. To NJ at least. And York cuz he brings them roses.

This man says some of the most unhinged shit when he’s tired I swear to god-

He holds both of his dogs (a Doberman and a boxer (their names are Mar and Murrie)) like they’re babies and treats them as such (as he should)

May we have some NY and NJ hc’s? Like- stuff that they do together and how they act with each other? 👁️👁️

Hehe I was super excited to do this one but sadly I do things in order of oldest to newest BUT none the less, here you go, our favorite stupid bastards

New Jersey and New York-

Jersey likes to cuddle and York likes receiving cuddles, so it isn’t uncommon to find the two together in the North living room

Jersey = Jer-bear, York = Yorka-doodle, they never call each other these in front of others

They go skating a ton, early morning public skate and public hockey are mainly what they do

Always fighting when it comes to certain foods, specifically pizza and bagels, otherwise they are perfect with each other in the kitchen

Jersey sends York stupid stuff from Tumblr, York does the same but with Twitter

Impromptu sleepovers in York's room happen a lot, York has sleep problems and as said before, Jersey cuddles, win win sitch

They fight, a lot, technically it’s just arguments but to pretty much everyone except the NE, it sounds like fighting (granted the NE sometimes thinks they are genuinely fighting but shh)

“Murder is illegal”  “You can’t murder people it’s rude” etc. are said whenever they are in the city

Despite not talking to each other for about 40ish years, they went right back to how they were before, if just a bit closer

They both fake hate each other, for no reason other than seeing the shocked faces of the other states while they simply cook breakfast together

Just Dance Night (the other states get flashbacks when ever they hear the Just Dance intro)

They like to just exist in the same space, doesn’t matter if they are doing two completely different things, they’ll continue to hang out VIRGINIA

They bet on everything, who will get to the table faster, who will make breakfast the quickest without messing up, everything

They always think to message the other first when something is happening, doesn’t matter if the sitch doesn’t really need the other, they still will

Since Jersey still speaks fluent Dutch and York has his broken messed up Dutch that Jersey understands, they will ‘gossip’ to each other in front of the other states

When they do that, they are really just talking about dinner plans and what movies they should see, but in the most condescending and judgmental tone they can

Movie dates, any movie whether they think it’ll be good or not

They sometimes come of as very big and little brother coded, York being the older while Jerseys the younger, when in reality it’s switched

Jersey finds it hilarious whenever people think he and York are dating, they aren’t, they consider each other brothers and technically are, York always wants to kill the people who do think they are dating, “Murder is Illegal Yorkie” he doesn’t care

Family dinners are once a month with Jersey’s moms and occasionally not, father, father, and York's grandparents

They have so much dirt on each other that if one says something so will the other, you know the nuclear deal between America and Russia? Yeah it’s basically that but with blackmail

If one’s sick the others clingy, if one's sad the others clingy, if one-

They like to dance with each other, even if there’s no music (it’s mainly spinning without music though)

Jersey has bad English days sometimes, so York will translate, on those days they tend to just haul up in York's room and put on a random Hockey game

What states do you headcanon play hockey, and what positions do they play?

HIA, it hasn't been 2 days, what are you talking about? Anyway I got them all down finally, I'm not gonna say they all make sense but most of them have a team so it's finneee...probably?

HOCKEY STATES WOOOOOO-

Jersey: Defense, left-wing

New York: Forward, center

Massachusetts: Forward, right-wing

Connecticut: Defense, right-wing (doesn’t play anymore)

Pennsylvania: Forward, center

Gov: Defense, left-wing (barely has anytime to play but tries to when he can)

Rhode: Defense, right-wing

North Carolina: Forward, left-wing

South Carolina: Defense, right-wing

Alabama: Forward, center (only plays roller hockey, college football offseason)

Missouri: Defense, right-wing (only plays roller hockey)

Tennessee: Defense, left-wing (doesn’t play often)

Arizona: Forward, right-wing

Colorado: Defense: right-wing

Minnesota: Forward, left-wing

Oregon: Defense, left-wing

Montana: Forward, center

I feel like most of these are self explanatory, like NY Jersey and other NE states, but others I may have to explain I think...oops?

Okay so, the Carolinas playing isn't really THAT surprising, they have a team (I don't know which state the team belongs too and I am perfectly fine not knowing lol), same with Tennessee, Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, and Missouri.

Now Alabama on the other hand, football offseason, literally only roller hockey, besides ya know...violence. Hockey can be a very southern sport when you think about it.

Gov plays because once again, North East, but also because I have a feeling he would be very into the Washington Capitals. It isn't like he gets the chance to play often but when it's a slow winter day he can and will go and play on a lake somewhere with the NE states.

Connecticut doesn't play anymore because he is dramatic (RIP the Whalers, you will be missed until Carolina pulls out the jerseys again), and probably because of injuries or something, he's mainly just dramatic.

Anyway won't lie, this list is mainly off of vibes and whether or not they have a team. For example, California has three teams and yet it is impossible for me to see that man play any sport except maybe beach volleyball. Meanwhile Rhodey is on here and yet he doesn't have a team, I can just see him using hockey as a way to remove stress, it's therapy but WAAYYY more expensive.

This idea came to me while I was listening to the Annapantsu cover and I just knew, I had too. Also I'm pretty sure this is the first time those of the tumblr space are seeing my Kentucky and Tennessee designs, I've drawn them twice now but nothing actually posted here lol.

Anyway I HC that Tucky and Jersey hang out a lot, originally only talking with each other because of their shared occupation horses but then they actually started to talk about other things and found that they actually got along. It's no secret to anyone that Jersey's lil demon guy loves Tucky, plus it is just adorable so I had to draw it again.

Tucky and Tenn are technically related but it's kinda hard to see here, maybe one day I'll post the headshots for them. Also I love Tucky's design, I need to draw him more, I made him so cute gosh darn it!!

Also also, if it's hard to tell they are listen to music on the same ear buds connected to an Ipod, don't question whos Ipod it is because they have no idea at this point XD

I've loved the idea of personified sports since I first found Matt Mitchell's SEC Roll Call series, which is literally collage football through each week it's so good.

Along with Tom Grossi who did four long ass series on each NFL divisions, they aren't exactly personified per-say but DOESN'T MATTER!!! (actually I'm pretty sure that they are personified in the If the NFL Was Scripted series but not confident on that lol)

Listen if the states and other things can be personified then who's to say that sports aren't!!!
