Ok I know the instagram comments is generally the place for the worst of humanity to gather but I was looking at some for general news on Tron 3. One about “begging for daft punk” to return etc
Discovered that
1.) a lot of people have no clue Tron 2 was even a thing. Both fans of the original and daft punk fans
2.) a lot of people who had no clue Tron 3 was going to be a thing then expressing imitate disappointment that it’s going to be Leto
3.) rise in concern and confusion when hearing about the plot
Definitely not original fans. Maybe legacy fans because the aesthetic remains but that’s a bit risky with the story line. And once again they’re not advertising at all, so like genuinely I ask…
This very much makes me think of the beginning of the movie where someone says something like "what are they gonna do, fight us with bows and arrows?" And then at the end Ram proceeds to wreck their shit with the very weapons they scorned
Was taking screenshots for the Komuram Bheemudo meta post and this one.... this one just makes me cry 😭 when he whips him on the face 😭
Also I committed the cardinal sin of fucking around with computers which is not labeling the screws. I think the hard drive was held in by three but I'm not sure which ones two of them are so thoughts and prayers 1 is enough ❤️
Just a throwaway joke I wanted to get out there before Ares. Some daily life of Quorra and Sam. A sketch I spent too much time on. 😅
Dune always gets me with the prescience thing.
Knowing every possible future can't be any form of freedom when you are chained to the only route that will save humanity. A route that kills 62 billion and counting in order to save the rest and it's all for a goal hundreds of millennia in the future.
By becoming the Kwisatz Haderach you have doomed the rest of your lineage to take part in your bloody work and have forever stained your beloved father's name.
The golden path is paved with blood on Atreides hands, but would not interfering make it any different? Can you justify the means if it means the survival of your race? Do you even deserve to survive after what you've done?
Does Paul(and Leto II) actually limit the possibilities through his/their own perception of the future? Could it have gone differently if humanity hadn't discovered the spice and interfered with time in the first place?
Or, like eating the one forbidden fruit in the middle of a garden, was this always the only option for us because humans can't help but fuck around and find out?
My reaction to this video is just
I've been working on this since October, and I'm glad to say it's finally done. With a heavy heart I say I deeply love this show and am sad there's no renewal.
That being said, I figured we all deserve to have our own pity party. So here's my new OFMD FMV

Sorry, gotta gush about the smallest fucking detail in the fnaf movie for a second.
SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT (I guess?)
So the part where Abby is hiding and Foxy is walking muppet style around chasing her and he steps on one of the ball pit balls?
I can't stop thinking about the practical effect there. No way the puppet leg they made was heavy enough to actually smash it so easily, and if you look closely you can see that the ball seems to start crinkling a little prematurely as the foot drops down on it.
(i have neither pictures nor gifs as we all know, YET)
So my guess is, they fed something through the puppet leg to be able to suck the air out of it (it looks like the ball is attached to the foot in that moment as well) to make it look like a super heavy metal foot is crushing it.
So much effort for such a small two second long effect and it made my stupid puppet Henson Creature Shop loving brain SO happy.
What a flex. I love this movie and everything that went into it.
Y'know this has actually been bugging me for a while now. Because in the Bible, the antichrist, the four horsemen, the Second Coming, it's all part of the same apocalypse. Maybe they didn't really stop Armageddon so much as delay it or slow it down a bit.
Watching Good Omens while working on Lilith's dress (nap time! Yay!) and something jumped out at me;
Aziraphale: Is there some other way of locating him?
Crowley: How the Heaven should I know? Armageddon only happens once, you know.
Except, that's not true. Now we're dealing with the Second Coming.
Strings tangled up in strings and I'm not sure exactly what they mean, but it is interesting.
I need everyone to understand about the fremen.
They do not cry. Ever.
To give water to the dead is the most sacred honor that anyone could give but they rarely and never do that because it's ingrained in them to not waste water from birth. A single tear could mean life and death for them. To give water to the living? Unheard of.
Paul crying over killing Jamis in the book was a moment that astonished the fremen around him. Jessica ponders their reactions and knows that this is a holy moment.
Jessica then forcing Chani to cry for Paul(this was not in the book btw but I love it) is the ultimate betrayal of her autonomy. To force her to give what is essentially a piece of her life to him without her consent is sacrilegious and she knows it.
Water of Life indeed.
I can't promise that I will only talk about tron in the year of our lord 2021 but I will be thinking about it constantly.
