Macaque found himself refocusing when the front door bell's jingle reached his ears. Paired with the sound of a downpour, which became muffled again when the door clicked shut. He sat still, keeping his eyes closed. Focusing onto the small rapid heartbeat beating away in the foyer of the dojo. The slow breaths drawn in and out as water dripped onto the ground. He listened, as they gathered themselves before moving. Their wet clothes shuffled as they observed their surroundings. Before creeping down the hallway, hardly making a peep. Macaque reinstated his human glamour. Before looking over and opening his eyes to meet a curious gaze peeking around the corner of the doorway. Only for their eyes to blow open as the human child stared at him like a deer in headlights.
“Hello,” Macaque gave the child a small polite nod in greeting. Snapping them out of their shock as they dashed out from behind the doorway and bowed.
“I-I’m sorry,” They stammered, voice small and quaking. With what could've been mistaken for nervousness, and not the fear it was, “I- I thought-”
“This place was still abandoned?” Macaque carefully interrupted. Sensing that one wrong action would have this kid back in the downpour. One that shouldn't finish anytime soon if he remembered the weather report correctly.
“Yes, sir,” The soaked kid gave a short nod, peering through their dark hair.
“It’s fine,” He shrugged, before giving a nod towards the boxes pushed up against the walls.
“I just moved in a few days ago, so it makes sense you’d think it was still abandoned.”
“Plus, I’m the idiot who left the front door unlocked,” He flashed the kid a playful smirk. Getting a small smile in response as their shoulders relaxed.
“Let me get you some towels,” He hummed, purposely telegraphing his movements as he unfolded himself from the lotus pose he had been meditating in.
“You're making me cold by just standing there."
“Wh-what?”
“I’m not kicking you back out there kid,” He looked over his shoulder to raise an eyebrow at them, “Do I look like an asshole who’d let a child wander in that downpour?”
“No?” They blinked, looking baffled.
“I’m not." He confirmed turning away. Striding across the dojo to the pocket door that hid the staircase that led up to the apartment above. He slid the door open and disappeared around the corner, taking the first step up the stairs only to pause. Checking to make sure the kid couldn’t see him. Despite not having heard the kid move, besides the shivers that plagued their thin body. Macaque dropped down into the shadows and darted up into the apartment. Slipping into the closet where he stored the extra towels. Reaching out of the shadows to grab some of his fluffiest towels. Pulling them into his arms in the shadows. Belatedly remembering how the kid’s clothes were just as soaked as him, so drying off would only do so much. Macaque debated about making some clothes to fit the kid better, before realizing how creepy that would look. Ah yes, a grown man having children’s clothes on hand, not at all suspicious. With that thought, Macaque bolted across the apartment. Entering his bare closet to grab the smallest t-shirt and sweatpants he had. Which would still hang off the kid’s body by a lot, he snorted to himself as he threw them on top of the towels. Zipping back down to reformed behind the wall.
“Alright kid,” He walked back out, eyes drifting to the kid, who now had a small puddle formed under them. The kid stiffened and stood at attention. Staring at him in surprise, “I got you some clothes too."
“Though, fair warning, they're me sized-” He gestured at himself, then at them- “and not kiddo sized.” He crouched down to pass them the pile, which they carefully took with wide stunned eyes.
“There’s a bathroom you can get changed in right down the hallway,” He loosely gestured at the end of the hallway. As the kid blinked, standing there in shock before shaking their head to snap themselves out of it. Not realizing they just splashed their host by doing so, not that Macaque really minded or cared.
“Thank you,” They squeaked, cheeks flushing as they gave a quick bow before dashing down the hallway. Pausing at the end to rapidly look around before finding the bathroom and ducking into it. Macaque stared down the hallway, crouching there for a moment. Before sighing as he looked down at the puddle, following the wet marks up to the front door with his eyes. Where he could see the rain still coming down outside.
“I swear,” He muttered, cursing his soft heart for kids as he pushed himself up to get another towel to wipe the mess up.
I’m posting this onto tumblr because I can! So suffer! Also, heads up, the chances of this making any sense are low, because this is a trashy ramble. Also, while some stuff might be pulled out of canon, it’s probably mostly going to be headcanons. Also, SPOILERS! (Kind of? Yeah, no, I’m just going to say this has spoilers in it.)
Okay, okay, so Red Son created the Bull Clones right? (Who by the way could be really OP if you think and give it some thought, but more on that later.) And Red Son also created the gauntlet that was used to lift the Ruyi Jingu Bang (Monkey King’s/MK’s super OP stretchy golden stick staff). Red Son also said that he refuses to drive in a vehicle without transformations in the first episode/the pilot for LMK, “Monkie Kid: A Hero is Born”. Which makes me think that he makes his own vehicles, because why would he want a subpar vehicle that has no transformations, that’s completely BORING! (Unless in the LMK universe, you can get vehicles that have an option of coming with a transformation/multiple forms, which is neat to think about, but anyways, let's say he’s made/designed his vehicle.) But, but, but! Red Son also makes DBK/his father’s armor! Which, really seems like it’s become a part of him, because I’m sorry, where does that bloody furnace go?! It’s gotta be embedded into DBK. But the main takeaway is that Red Son created armor for DBK, which actually seems to affect him? Like in “Monkie Kid: A Hero is Born”, DBK, after standing up the first time with armor, notes that it’s really heavy. Which Red Son quickly explains that okay yeah, while it’s super heavy now, with some materials it’ll just juice you up with power. Also, why do they seriously go rob a shoe store? DBK, come on, do you even need shoes? You're a bull, don’t you have hooves? Actually, how did you wear those, did you get the guy to make you special shoes to fit your hooved- wait are they hooved? Okay, I don’t know, and I’m not looking up DBK’s feet right now. Anyways! I’ve gotten so off track. Look, Red Son created DBK’s armor, probably from scratch and from his own blueprints/design. So wouldn’t that mean Red Son technically knows the weak points to DBK’s armor. And yes, you can say, why would Red Son ever abuse that or make any in the first place? DBK is family! He’s his father, he’s going to make the best armor he can! Which I’m not arguing, but also we have no idea how long of time Red Son had to create the armor. He might’ve had a fundamental set of armor plans/blueprints to absorb/create energy before freeing DBK, which would’ve probably been on the back burner, because the focus was most likely on freeing his father. So if that’s not the case, the armor is something Red Son would have thrown together, last minute-ish. Which means, there could be a lot of flaws and weak points. A big example of this was literally demonstrated in “Monkie Kid: A Hero is Born” as MK launched himself in DBK’s furnace chest to take back the OP stretchy staff. (Also, that was a furnace right? So, MK literally jumped into a super hot area? Like, probably melt the skin and meat off your bones hot? I know he was probably immortal and all that during that, but- Hmmmm…. Okay, not giving that any more thought!) So, yeah obviously the armor has its flaws….. And I’ve completely forgotten what I’m talking about and I’ve hit a brick wall. Okay, well, I'll go back to this insane of a ramble if people want me to…. Or maybe I’ll do it for myself, cus why not.... Whelp, peace readers! I hope you got something out of this crazy keyboard smash!
I personally haven’t seen any “masterposts” for the LMK Pokémon Trainer ID cards. I’ve seen some people post one or two of them, but not the entire list. So! I decided to make one! As of right now (7/12/2021), these are all the LMK Pokémon Trainer ID’s that have been created! Who created them? Well, the amazing; Ashe Jacobson!! A wonderful storyboard director for Lego Monkie Kid! (Also, let’s just give a round of applause for everyone who helped create this wonderful show, because they deserve it!) They’ve posted these badboy ID’s on their twitter! Which I’ll post, along with their posts about these Pokémon Trainer ID cards aka my source for these Trainer ID’s! (The links are below the “Keep Reading” Line!) Also, I usually fall behind on “updates” for stuff, so if this becomes inaccurate/they post some more Trainer ID’s for the LMK cast of amazing characters, please let me know so I can update! Thank you, and I hope this helps any of those looking for these nifty ID cards!

Ta-da! An Updated Version Of The LMK Trainer ID’s!
As Of (8/24/2024)... And as I mentioned in my original post, I usually fall behind on “updates” or simply keeping up with the current going ons with fandoms and in general, stuff. So if this becomes inaccurate (as in more Trainer ID’s for the LMK cast of characters are posted), please let me know so I can update!
And I thought I’d take up less room on your screen and make the cards share spots with each other. Besides our favorite (but very traumatized>﹏<) main character. So, to get a better view of them, just click on 'em! If this is an issue for anyone, just let me know and I can just stack them all on top of each other.
These, of course, are all created by Ashe Jacobson, a storyboard director for our beloved show, Lego Monkie Kid! And from the post that I saw that alerted me to the new ID cards, I should state that these ID’s aren’t exactly canon, likely being headcanons made by Jacobson. But even so, I think most of the fandom agrees to what’s described/shown on these ID’s. Additionally, as long as you're respectful, who cares about canon! You can make whatever you want in the sandbox!
