Made the mistake of bringing up that needing glasses is a disability on tiktok and people got real mad.

“You can fix it with glasses” yeah, cuz they’re a disability aid? But like, I still have to pay 160 bucks to use my own fucking eyes?

Like, by definition, if your eyes do not work without aid, you have a disability to see.

Having a disability doesn’t automatically put you in what people consider the “disabled” category, but that doesn’t change the fact that it is in fact, a disability.

Hmmm, I don't have a lot of de-aged Bruce fics, which is something I need to fix. In the mean time, here are a few that I've read and really enjoyed! Hope you enjoy them too!

"Whatcha Got There?" "A Smoothie." Colourized. by TheWitchBoy @klarion-the-witch-boy - Batfam, complete. Bruce gets de-aged while on patrol. All the batkids deal with it. Many cute (and embarrassing) pictures are taken. Shenanigans ensue :)

A History of Wayne Manor by Sparkypants @sparkypantaloons - Batfam, complete. A spell causes everyone in the Batfam, except Damian and Cass, to de-age into kids. The only way to reverse it is for Damian to learn how to play.

sweet artemis is fickle, just be patient with her by Tatsumaki_sama - Superbat, complete. A female Bruce AU, part of The Odyssey of Bryce Wayne series. Bryce gets de-aged and takes a liking to everyone in the Justice League, but acts shy around Clark. He's a bit sad about this. Adorable shenanigans ensue.

I think one big reason why we don't consider the stars as important as before (not even pop-astrology anymore cares about the stars or the sky on itself, just the signs deprived of context) is because of light pollution.

For most of human history the sky looked between 1-3, 4 at most. And then all of a sudden with electrification it was gone (I'm lucky if I get 6 in my small city). The first time I saw the Milky Way fully as a kid was a spiritual experience, I was almost scared on how BRIGHT it was, it felt like someone was looking back at me. You don't get that at all with modern light pollution.

When most people talk about stargazing nowadays they think about watching about a couple of bright dots. The stars are really, really not like that. The unpolluted night sky is a festival of fireworks. There is nothing like it.

When a person with ADHD complains of severe anxiety, I recommend that the clinician not immediately accept the patient’s label for her emotional experience. A clinician should say, “Tell me more about your baseless, apprehensive fear,” which is the definition of anxiety. More times than not, a person with ADHD hyperarousal will give a quizzical look and respond, “I never said I was afraid.” If the patient can drop the label long enough to describe what the feeling is like, a clinician will likely hear, “I am always tense; I can’t relax enough to sit and watch a movie or TV program. I always feel like I have to go do something.” The patients are describing the inner experience of hyperactivity when it is not being expressed physically.

At the same time, people with ADHD also have fears that are based on real events in their lives. People with ADHD nervous systems are consistently inconsistent. The person is never sure that her abilities and intellect will show up when they are needed. Not being able to measure up at the job or at school, or in social circles is humiliating. It is understandable that people with ADHD live with persistent fear. These fears are real, so they do not indicate an anxiety disorder.
