Gotham Girls RPG redesign for fun :) They actually make a very well-balanced team! I was originally going to do them all as knights but then saw Mindy Lee’s Poison Ivy Druid and got inspired. www.instagram.com/kelseyeng32
tfw you believe in somebody so much they become a god
Haft - Half-Elf Devotion Paladin
Heavy armour, and pollaxe.
Named haft cause they constantly have to re-haft their pollaxe from heavy use.
Has been doing mercenary work for years
Joined The Chain as their first big mercenary outfit, and is loving it.
Calm and collected most of the time, but when incensed is incredibly passionate.
Set off for capital as soon as they knew The Chain was there, with as many other members as they could find.
is there a list or smthn of what all the signs in church mean?? just curious :- O
there is now! so Murderer and Executioner are already in there obvs…there were going to be more tattoos for various crimes, but 1. that seemed overly-complex and 2. I didn’t want to dig into a bunch of horrible crimes…why not just stick with murder, I thought.
anyway, the symbol of the church that people have tattooed on their chests would have had an identifying shot where it was labeled “DIVINITY” but I only thought of this later in the animatic and I couldn’t find a good place to add it later. fortunately, I think it read pretty clearly anyway!
the chest tattoo is somehow the conduit for divine magic (which can hurt or heal), and the wrist tattoos channel it into the hands! the bar means they can forge a weapon from their power. (you’ll notice the guy who gives Ash his executioner tattoo at the beginning doesn’t have a bar! he’s not a warrior monk type)
My new meds make my skin throw a fit. It’s not terribly bad, just a few things here and there, but it’s bumming me out because I’ve never really had too many run-ins with acne.
My four-year-old sister, however, is under the impression that it’s just “3D freckles”, and that they look very, very pretty. She wants all of my freckles to “pop out”, especially the ones across my nose; they’re her favourite.
And it puts me in this weird position where I can’t say, “No, this is acne, and it’s bad,” because I don’t want to teach her that it’s a bad to have unclear skin, you know?
Because the more I think about interactions I have with children, the more I realise that children will consistently compliment “flaws” until they’ve been taught not to.
Like, a kid at the library, whose sister has vitiligo, saw my scars once and suggested that his sister and I should be cats for Halloween, since I have “tabby skin” and she has “calico skin”. “I can be a black cat,” he immediately added. “It’s not AS cool, but they’re the spookiest.”
When I started losing weight, my little brother immediately demanded that I gain it back, because I wasn’t as comfortable to cuddle with anymore.
And my other little sister always wants to wear her paint-stained clothes to school so that “everyone can tell [she’s] an artist”.
I don’t know. I guess talking to little kids just reminds me that all of this superficial shit we worry about really is 100% made up.
Concept: a fantasy setting where cursing people works like serving a subpoena – i.e., you have to provide notice, in writing, of the cause and particulars of the curse in order for it to take effect, and the intended target can avoid being cursed by constructing a plausible argument that they never received the necessary paperwork.
fucked up that we don't make belts with loops for holding blades or pouches for storing coins and bunches of dried herbs anymore
again, there IS a problem of straight actors playing all the gay roles, but the answer isn’t as easy as “straight people shouldn’t play gay people” because a) it’s acting and there’s nothing intrinsically physical about gayness and b) it’s bad to insist that actors make their sexuality public information
Excuse my crappy handwriting, but here’s Mud! Quickly sassed her way to the top of my fav NPCs list.
Hops
an exceedingly nimble dwarf woman with thick sideburns and tied-back hair. She wears a simple dress and an apron; when shes on a mission she’ll change into light armor and a hood. She has a deep interest in the craftsmanship of alcohol (she has a soft spot for sour ales) but doesnt seem to drink large volumes. She is eager to be part of Angel’s/Boots’ spy network but is being kept away by Angel as she has already been seen around Capital as a Chain member.
She joined the chain as a way to experience the cultures, food and drink of the surface-dwellers of orden, and the timescape itself; the ability to test her steel and cunning in honorable (and not so honorable) combat was only a bonus.
were I to make her a pc she would be a dwarf (obviously) rogue and probably a scout subclass and the guild artisan (brewer) background
Painted the Moon Elf calling forth Exile from whatever Abyss it has been forged in.
Side note, how tf do artists juggle commissions, multiple social networks, personal work, life in general, social life, and even a day job on top? Like damn, I barely can keep up and I’m not even doing all of the above…
