C1. how do they sit in a chair?Legs up on the table or ankle on knee.F2. what is their ideal party?All of the lads singing their hearts out in a comfy tavern with decent food.R2. would they be a strict or laid-back parent?Well, he doesn’t want to be a strict parent. I think he’s naturally pretty laid back but he has experience being the sensible one. So I think he’d probably be laid-back within the bounds of “please don’t do something stupid enough to make me be strict because Gods know I can and will.”Z1.  what’s their favorite animal?Ohhh, I hadn’t even thought about this, good question! I think Paisley’s favourite animal might be a kingfisher! I think he’s pretty fond of animals in general, but I think there’s something special about the image of a young Paisley seeing kingfishers off the docks, and having this colourful, hovering little bird being one of his first illusions.

G2. what is the most attractive part of their personality?Intelligent but not in a way where he ever makes it a competition.N4. what is the most embarrassing thing they’ve done?Probably a thousand things when he was younger in Capital. Probably did some theatrical romantic gestures like singing in the street to the window of someone he was in to, or something similarly so overboard that even his Riojan buddies thought it was a little too far. I think he’d own it, though.Q5. are they curious?To an extent, sure. If it’s some topic he’s interested in, then by all means; testing spells, following music, going to see new performances, trying new food, inspecting something odd on the job, stuff like that. But not the Mint-tier “I wonder what type of feral creature is hissing inside this barrel” curiosity. U4. have they ever been doubted?Yeah. Early on as a Helltrooper, you’d probably doubt his value as a soldier, too, if all he contributes to a bar fight is the opening war cry of “OH FUCK!” as he gets decked by a single hit. Nowadays I think it’s probably more of a joking doubt from the others, like when some crossbowman doesn’t fall for the old “image of a head peaking around the corner” trick and the other troopers are like “Why do we even keep you around.”Y5. what’s your favorite thing about them?That Paisley is so real in my mind. He’s one of the only characters I’ve written that feels genuinely human to me, contradictions and all, even though I don’t have all the details fleshed out and he’s a fair bit less self-inserty than other characters I’ve had in my head. I just hope I can communicate some of it without it seeming stupid lmao.

Finally have a chance to get this answered!

C2 - I can’t help but immediately think of that stereotypical butt-in-the-air sleeping position because it would be hilarious, but in a serious sense Hawthorn probably sleeps in whatever position he hits the bed in, usually on his stomach.

F1 - Like a true dwarf, he loves to carouse, but in his spare non-party times, Hawthorn likes to watch birds - there aren’t many in the Khemhara and certainly not underground, and he’s fascinated by them.

G3 - He’s so thoroughly unaffected by alcohol that you always have someone watching out for your drunk ass, and he’s fiercely loyal. Once you earned his trust he’ll kill for you. Seriously. He’ll do it. Just point him at the bastard.

Z1 - As mentioned before, he’s fascinated by birds, of all kinds. But his heart lies with giant lizards. They’re like the horses of Khemite Dwarves. He used to ride them all the time and that is an experience.

I came up with the characters and story solely for this project; they are not “from” anything, just this!  The nun’s name is Sanga, the demon’s name is Ashivon, and you can find more of them here.

An animatic is, by its nature, a planning stage for animation.  But since I wasn’t sure whether this one would ever end up being fully animated, I put extra care into it.  So now it’s in that animatic/animation gray area.  While making this video, I was torn between the thought “well this is some melodramatic middle-school bullshit” and “actually it’s pretty good”.  In the end, I’d like to think it’s both things. :)

I end up coming up with a new chain oc pretty much every stream but most recent is Footpad. Koursirian street urchin with an aptitude for magic. Ostensibly joined the chain to get themselves off the streets and earn fortune although if they’re honest, they were just too curious and had too much of wanderlust not to join up with the Helltroopers.

Always liked footpad as slang for a thief and seemed to fit pretty well as a chain name. They’re probably just a rank-and-file soldier but if I were to actually build them mechanically they’d be 3rd level arcane trickster rogue. Idk if the rank and file actually report to specific junior officers but I like the idea that their magic and curiosity makes them get along well with Buts.

My chain OC, since it’s about time I finally made one!

Name: Oak.

Human female ranger (the second best ranger, thanks very much), mid 50′s. Face like a gnarled oak, hence the name. Stronger than she looks, and loves to complain. Every time she’s asked, she has a different story about her life before The Chain. Serves in the Advancers, as a scout. Or at least, she did. But right now, she’s making her way from Blackbottom to Capital.
