Doc and Grian’s dynamic is that Grian is Doc’s greatest nemesis, but Doc is not Grian’s nemesis.
Do you get me?
here we go girls
making a third life/wings of fire crossover AU (and writing a fic I’ll be posting here)
The main gist is that Grainshifter was a Nightwing born with animus magic under a full moon, giving him mind reading as well (for those who don’t know, animus magic has no limits. You can do ANYTHING) and the Nightwings, bastards that they are, take complete advantage of him and use him to make themselves essentially gods among the dragon species, taking the role of Watchers in this story. Generations and generations pass to the point where Nightwings are more legend than reality, as they prefer to stay hidden and feed on the strong emotions of the dragons below. After many years of being a Watcher, Grainshifter requests some time living as a normal dragon so he can experience what it’s like to live.. not in god status. His request is accepted, and he is sent down to attend Jade Mountain academy disguised as a Skywing dragonet. Here he meets all of the third life cast (excluding Martyn who comes in later) and after graduating, he returns to godhood.
Around this time, the Watchers have discovered that fear can be harvested using these cool death games! Wowee! Things are going swimmingly for awhile until the Watchers decide it would be a fantastic birthday gift idea for their special little boy to create a death game featuring all his old friends from his time at the academy :)
Grainshifter is not pleased jbJDJJXJXK
He instead uses what little influence he has (his magic was restricted at a young age before he had the autonomy to understand what was going on) to place himself in the death game in an act of somewhat childish defiance. Here he learns just how horrifying the things the Watchers are doing as he lives out the fear that they feed on. Also there’s this weird Seawing that Grainshifter doesn’t know who seems EXTRA miserable to be here, that’s odd.
This was just a little info dump on the main story, feel free to ask more lore questions or clarifications, I’m just getting started on this and I’m excited to continue!
DUDE THIS IS SO COOL

made a 3rd life animatic.... i hope you enjoy <3
Literally obsessed with the fact that some people have been allies in all three seasons.
Like Ren and BigB. Both were in Dogwarts in 3rd Life. Both were in the Castle/Shadow alliance in Last Life. And they were soulmates in Double Life. THE POTENTIAL-
And Cleo and Scott!! Widows alliance in 3rd Life, the three Gs in Last Life, and they were soulmate-ish in Double Life.
I CANT- I JUST-
Beloved <3 You did NOT have to apologize my guy

I’m already waiting for someone to draw Skizzs final death scene (when Etho killed him) mirroring Rens death in 3rd Life. So Martyn is Etho and Ren is Skizz
Unfortunately I can’t draw, so PLEASE someone else do this
not to be THAT guy but….
impulse held on to his rage for so long. his anger for bdubs was what drove him to keep playing and playing. it just got worse when bdubs accidentally killed him in double life. they could have won it. they could have but bdubs betrayed him again.
he thought helping tango boogey bdubs would help. it did a little bit, the idea that he was tricking bdubs and making sure he died. it felt good, but it just made him want to do it himself.
so he shot him on sky net. He looked bdubs in the eyes and shot him in the chest, watching as his dead body tipped off the ledge and fell to the ground. his heart felt full and his adrenaline was pumping, it felt good to finally do it himself. bdubs deserved it.
when he realized he had killed bdubs permanently with the tnt, he waited for that same feeling to come. he stood there and clutched his chest as he tried to catch his breath, but the only feelings that were rising were ones of shame and regret.
it didn’t help that he permakilled bdubs. it didn’t help that he dropped a tnt on his friend and ended his life. he realized it didn’t matter that he shot him, or tricked him, or lied to him.
he held on to that rage for so long, thinking that by killing bdubs, it would go away. it didn’t, and instead that rage was replaced with guilt.
he stayed on the server longer than he should have, the portal to hermitcraft swirling ominously in front of him. how would he go back? how would he face bdubs knowing that all he ever wanted was so so futile. how would he apologize?
he couldn’t. maybe he should stay here and wither away. maybe he should never go back….
“impulse?”
“yeah?”
bdubs’ smiling face through the swirls of the portal was big and perfect, he had his cloak on and there were no signs of trouble. he was back to the normal, happy bdubs he always has been. “common, ya big oaf, it’s time to get out of here.”
all he could do was nod. maybe the best thing they could do was move on. an eye for an eye. a leg for a leg.
hopefully they could heal from those wounds together.
I think that zedaph and Jimmy would make an awesome duo because Zed is perpetually confusing and Jimmy is perpetually confused
Can I... talk about the theory that winners help craft the next game?
Because, and I really can not say this enough, it puts So Much into perspective.
Everything starts out Normal. Three lives, simple, cut and dry, there hasn't been a winner yet. No one to help craft the game. (And there's something to be said about how simple it really was. Not even a real expectation of the world becoming pvp or combative. No idea of the war to come)
Then Grian wins. The green killer, the man who vowed his first life to the one whose life he took. The next game the boogie man is born. A mechanic that allows and, in fact, demands, a green kill. People can trade lives back and forth, currency and debt wrapped up in one. (can we still be friends? Said the red partner. A life time later and reds are hostile, alone. Maybe it's an answer: No. Not anymore)
Scott wins this time. He refuses to play the game. He will not kill his team, he will love and he will do so fiercely and with all of himself. The next game people are attached through to their very souls. Every bit of damage to one soul is done to its twin. There is no boogeyman. (There is no way for a widow to be left without their love)
Pearl wins and she wins a blood bath. Spent the game draped in red, only wolves for company. Sitting in her tower, shivering in ice, maybe she wanted it to end. To see where it would. Limited life rewards you for killing, limited life has a clock tick tick ticking down, you always no how long you have. A curse yes, but a blessing too.
Now It's Martyn's turn.
And what a turn it is.
Keep your secrets, says the disloyal man, keep them well. Everything hurts, everything Matters, says the man fracturing with every loss. (What if we could love each other without hurting? Says The Hand, who never wanted to be coated in blood)
More importantly, Martyn has always seen the watchers below the surface. Now, they're right here in front of him. Something that could almost... be rebelled against, no? Something that someone else could finally point to and say: hey, hey isn't that familiar?
