I can’t stop thinking about how when Cardan wanted to talk to Jude about the first time they got intimate and she quickly replies she just wanted to get it out of her system, Cardan asks her “Did you? Get it out of your system?”

But what he meant was “Did you get ME out of your system, because I can’t get you out of mine nor do I want to. I only fell in deeper.”

Her reply about wanting to just get it out of her system hurt him.

When he had said “This is a terrible idea.” as he was kissing her and taking of his shirt, he didnt mean terrible as in things are gonna get weird and akward between them. He meant this was going to rattle him to the bones. This was going to make him fall in deeper for her.
