@ everyone who went through a period of having no friends, who ate alone, who had a point in their life where they were too embarrassed to tell their parents they had no one to play with after school: I love you. I know it hurts and I know it’s hard but it’s not your fault. Things will grow and change. You will find people who you click with and they will love you too. You deserve positive friendship relationships just like anyone else. And if you’re still going through this phase, you’re strong, and things will change for you too. You are not alone, there are people experiencing the same thing you are, find them, you deserve positivity and companionship. Keep your head up.

in addition to the fact that people just have different natural rhythms, a big reason why we can’t seem to go to bed as early as we “should” is that nighttime is, for many of us, our safest and most fulfilling time of day. we don’t have to work, we won’t be contacted by bosses or insurance companies or collection agencies or other suffocating life business… we’re likely only to be contacted by our friends, or by no one at all. night time is release; it’s ours. we can rest or recreate. we can do things we actually want to do. who would choose to cut that short?? just to usher in the next morning when our lives are not our own again? nighttime is precious and nothing could be more normal than the desire to embrace this
it was inevitable for me to eventually draw this crossover too,,

Okay but it just occurred to me. EVERY other mention of winnowing in this series is when it’s done quietly and stealthily. Which means that Rhys consciously chose to be a loud ass drama queen when he crashed Feyre’s wedding and I literally cannot handle this level of theatrics rn.
People talk a great deal about being held accountable when it comes to others - particularly famous people. And I agree, everyone should face the consequences of their actions. But like, actions they did a year ago, two years ago, 3 years ago. And obviously the consequences should fit the actions.
But when y'all take out your pitchforks and prepare to burn someone at the stake for something they said or did (i.e. a racist/transphobic/homophobic/misogynistic/etc comment) ten years ago or longer, then that’s just stupid.
I said some pretty homophobic shit 5-6 years ago, I said some pretty racist shit some 5-6 years ago. Should I be tried for murder and receive the capital punishment? Should you?
Don’t defend celebrities with your life, you don’t know them, they don’t even know you exist, you owe them nothing. But don’t treat them like the “mortal” laws don’t apply to them simply because they’re famous, and “bring them to justice” for shit like this that happened a bazillion years ago.
Be angry and demand justice for those who sexually assaulted or murdered people 10+ years ago. Not people who made transphobic jokes 10 years ago or played Buddha in a movie when they were 29. IF it’s obvious they’re not the same person anymore and they’ve come a long way. It gains you nothing besides show how little sympathy and respect for growth you have.
#who loves some good character development as much as me
