flustered Spinel is one of my many major major weaknesses omg.

• Spinel doesn’t sleep much, but she’ll spoon the hell out of you (and vice versa) until you wake up every morning. she knows what’s coming because you do it as soon as you’re awake enough to look at her, and she can’t help but sit there and jitter just thinking about it

• (it’s kisses. she waits for your morning smooches you give her every morning without fail.)

• at first it was hard for her to adjust to it all, the affectionate gestures and the physical notions of your feelings for her. being totally alone in complete silence for 6,000 years will make you quite touch starved.

• she’d freeze up whenever you’d hug her or take one of her hands into yours—any physical contact really. it was all sort of new to her, and she wasn’t a very trusting gem at all in the beginning. but with time, a gentle voice, and a comforting shoulder to cry on, she finally let herself open up to you

• but what really started to get her to unwind was the first time you intertwined your fingers with her’s, brought the top of her hand to your lips, and planted a soft kiss on her knuckles

• she crumpled into a puddle on the floor. a literal puddle of noodle limbs and on the verge of tears

• you were immediately concerned but she swore she was fine, she just couldn’t handle the swell of adoration that had exploded from within her gem omg

• Spinel likes to snuggle up to you a lot, and this prompted you to ask if you could play with her hair one day. she was mildly confused but said she’d let you, and when you actually ran your fingers through her hair the first few times?

• spinel.exe has stopped working

• and she leans into your touch when you realize it

• “Spinel, are you . . . are you purring?”

• she’s in HEAVEN and snuggles up to you as close as she can because she just can’t get enough of the feeling, it’s so nice!!! where have you BEEN all her life!!!!!

• no matter what, she just really loves holding u close because she knows how much u love holding her back

• she has her moments where she needs some extra love and smooches, and u are more than happy to oblige

• one of these nights in particular occurs and you discover two things

• that a) it really helps her to calm down with u providing pressure and laying on top of her like a weighted blanket

• and b) when u decide to kiss her gem, she has to suppress an unintentional squeak

• when you look at her to make sure she’s okay, a lil’ smile grows on your face at the sight before you—a completely flustered gem who’s just staring back at you with basically heart-shaped pupils

• like did you just? smooch? her gem? oh my stars? and she LOVED IT? IT MADE HER FEEL SO NICE DO IT AGAIN Y/N

• she’s literally speechless. she loves u. so much.

• and througha all u do for her, she knows just how much you love her back!!!!
