Trigger Warning, Suicide

This is the day my friend committed suicide three years ago. We were freshmen back. I had moved to a different state and we hadn’t had contact in months. When I left, he refused to accept that we would never see each other, isn’t that ironic? My friend John Chris. The guy who would stand there talking to me for ten minutes about his turtles, about his job at the pond in town. The guy I tried stop people from bullying. He committed suicide December 16th because he was being bullied. Don’t stand to the side, guys. If you’re being bullied, get help. If you see it, get help. Don’t let more innocents like John Chris feel like their only choice is for release is suicide. Please.

Fantasy Guide to Addressing Nobility

It can be hard to remember how to properly address your noble or royal characters when writing a fantasy court. Here is a quick guide:

1. King/Queen:

Usually addressed as either “Your Grace” or “Your Majesty”. Consort (married to a ruler and not reigning in their own right) can be addressed the same. Sire or Madam can be used also.

Fantasy Guide To Addressing Nobility

2. Prince/Princess:

They are addressed as “Your Highness”. They are NEVER addressed the same as a King or Queen

Fantasy Guide To Addressing Nobility

3. Duke/Duchess:

These are addressed with “Your Grace”. This was a common term also used by royalty before Henry VIII got to big for his codpiece.

Fantasy Guide To Addressing Nobility

4. Earl (Count)/Countess:

Are almost never referred as the “Earl of Narnia” but “Lord Narnia”.

Fantasy Guide To Addressing Nobility

5. Lord/Lady:

An easy one. They are called “My Lord” or “My Lady”.

Fantasy Guide To Addressing Nobility

6. Emperor/Empress:

These may be equal to a King/Queen for status but the have a grander title. They are only addressed as “Your Imperial Highness/Majesty”

Fantasy Guide To Addressing Nobility

I hope this helps when writing your court or fantasy novel.

These Were The Doodles I Did In College In My History Classes.

These were the doodles I did in college in my history classes.

As in like what was the default thing you would draw on the margins when you were in class and had no creative ideas? Personally I was a wings and eyes kid. Usually wings though.

Lucien's hysterectomy, organized by Lucien Winton-Bonas
gofundme.com
Hi!  My name is Lucien. I am a 25 year old trans man living in the Highlands of Scotland wit… Lucien Winton-Bonas needs your support for Luc

Having to bite the bullet and reach out for help.

GC waitlists are long and Doctors simply do not care enough to help trans people when they need it.

I am tired of arguing and begging and getting progressively more and more poorly, of the mental pain that comes with being attached to something that doesn't belong to me.

Private healthcare is the last attempt I have at getting the help I need before it is too late.

Any shares or donations mean more to me than you could possibly know. 🖤🖤
