My heart broke for Logan and Daniel when they were dropped in the middle of the season. And now my heart is breaking for Esteban, who has been unceremoniously dropped by the team he dedicated five years of his life to with one race left in the season.

The fact that he wasn’t even given the dignity of having a final race with the team he spent so long driving for … it truly makes me sick. And what does he have to show for it? One of the most pathetic “thank you” graphics I’ve ever seen a team post on social media.

I know Formula 1 is a business and a competition before anything else … but it would be nice to see some of those in charge at least pretend they still feel human emotions.

What a disappointing way to end a lengthy tenure … I hope his time with Haas makes up for it.

(And yes, I know that he was dropped because Alpine wouldn’t let him test for Haas in the post-season otherwise. But that’s the thing … most teams would not have had an issue with a departing driver doing so. Esteban is still their only race winner and this whole thing just really rubs me the wrong way.)

I keep imagining sub james crying cause reader is gone, Remus and Sirius are making fun of him calling him a baby then reader comes back and sees what happened and comforts him.. also mommy kink cause it’s clear James has one

James’ little sniffles and sobs are muffled slightly through his thick duvet. Sirius snickers at the sight of him, curled up in his bed, crying for you. For mommy.

“Shut up, you fucking baby,” he gripes, giggling as his words only serve James to cry harder. By this point, the poor boy’s entire body is quivering, his cheeks and the ends of his hair soaked in tears. Remus joins in on the teasing, crouching next to James and stroking his head.

“You think y/n will want you when you’re being this pathetic? You think anyone will?” James shakes his head.

“Kn-know she do-doesn’t.” Remus pinches his arm meanly. James yelps.

“Then stop crying, you stupid baby.”

Sirius cackles at Remus’ bullying.

You catch Remus’ very last statement as you push your way inside the room and both boys’ heads whip around.

“What have you said to him?” Neither of them oblige and answer you, staring at their feet. “If you’re not gonna answer me, fuck off, the pair of you.”

Remus and Sirius’ eyes widen.

“Out, now!” you repeat, already climbing into the bed with James. “If you’re doing this for my attention, it’s not going to work. You’re spiteful. Jamie is supposed to be able to trust you when he’s feeling like this.” They slink away defeatedly and James hiccups another sob that makes your heart splinter.

“Oh, baby,” You wrap your arms around him, “Mommy’s got you.” He works his way as far into your arms as he can physically get, pressing his face to your neck. “‘s alright, sweet boy. What’s got you so worked up, hm?”

“I-I missed you. Wa-was really sad!” You nod along, kissing his temple. “‘nd they said I w-was bein’ a baby and you would n-never want me ‘cause of it. Thought you were g-gonna leave.”

“You know that’s not true, don’t you, baby? I love you so much.” He’s still sobbing - the tears won’t slow. “Shh, honey. It’s alright, ‘ve got you.”

“Mommy,” he murmurs, shuffling down to bury his face in your tits.

“You want ‘em?” He nods, pushing his face into their soft curves. “Go on then, baby.” He needs no further encouragement, pulling them free from the confines of your top and bra and nuzzling his face between them. You kiss the top of his head, teasing his roots with your fingers and cooing. “Good boy. You’re so good, aren’t you?”

“‘m a g-good boy?” His voice is muffled by your skin and the vibrations

“The best.”

“Promise, mommy?” His tentative tone makes you ache; how could Sirius and Remus make him doubt you so much?

“Promise, honey.”
