MARIGOLDS were never his favorite, but maybe that's why he found them so endearing. petals so bright that they resembled the sun and yet always so hidden beneath the glory of other gardenias.

he supposed he didn't like them as much because they reminded him of well... him.

denki realized he might have been looking too much into it (overthinking again, he sighs), after all, it was just a flower; how could one identify themselves with a flower? but he couldn't erase the thought from his mind — marigolds and their hidden brightness.

the seed was first planted when you had greeted him with a bright smile when he entered the classroom, still drowsy with his eyelids being pulled down from the tiredness still running through his body. he had stayed up again- not for any particular reason, there wasn't a test today nor was he up talking to someone. his conscious just dragged him along into the deepest hours of the night until his body finally shut down to fall asleep.

clothes still rumpled and hair mussed up, he collapsed in a heap on his desk as he sent you a bright grin and wave. the class started to quiet down as the new unit of the month was introduced- quirk control and strength.

he twirled his pencil around his fingers, mind zoning out of the class and flying across to another universe- a universe where he didn't have to sit for hours on end listening to aizawa's drawling and where he could finally rest.

he felt a light poking against his elbow and he turned his head to his side to look at you; you were still looking straight ahead, displaying the profile of a good student paying attention, but you kept glancing back at him. when you glanced back at him again, you lent him a small grin and tapped your notebook, copy mine, it's okay if you can't pay attention right now.

he smiled and lightly nodded as he scribbled down your notes, leaving a small smiley face on the corner of your page as a thank you. it was the least he could do.

days later, when they all had training in gym gamma- quirk training, apparently you can never have enough- that was when he supposed the seed grew into a sapling.

his quirk was harder to control than most- electricity was something one couldn't ever have full control over. it harmed others and it harmed him- he had the electricity provoked scars across his body to prove it.

that never stopped you from believing the utmost in him. you were always cheering him on, whether on the sidelines or in a mock battle with him. he swears he thought you were mocking him in the beginning, it wasn't a surprise, after all; it wouldn't have been the first time someone would've poked fun at the way he short-circuited when he used a voltage a bit too high.

but no, you weren't mocking him. you believed in him and his quirk, that he could exceed despite his limitations-- despite his lack of grasp on control.

"i think you're gonna be a great hero one day, kami," you said, tongue slightly sticking out as you scribbled a poor drawing of him in his hero costume at the corner of his biology textbook. #1 hero: chargebolt!

he smiled down at the drawing, heart beating a few paces faster than before as his finger traced over the drawing before he leaned over and scribbled over your worksheet in response.

"hey!" you exclaimed, giggles erupting from you as you elbowed him away from your papers. the both of you were laughing now, trying to silent yourselves in the big library you were currently inhabiting. students were shooting glares at the two of you as the laughter ensued.

“shhh,” he said, voice wobbly as he continued giggling despite the finger to his lips trying to silence the both of you. leaning in a bit too close to your face, mirth gleaming in your eyes, your foreheads touched in unison as the both of you tried to contain your amusement. and then. and then, it became quiet. the laughter dying down as the two of you looked into the others’ eyes.

his eyes gleamed a liquid honey, the sunlight from the window hitting him just as beautifully as it does to marigolds. beautiful, golden, and oh so bright. there was an unmistakable sense of self-consciousness within his eyes, as he looked down towards your lips before flitting back to your e/c eyes.

gnawing lightly on his lip, he smiled, eyes creasing slightly from his expression as he leaned back in his seat, “we should get back to work, y’know, y/n. can’t have you distracting me,” he elbowed you, laughing lightly again.

breaking out of the daze of the moment, you blinked and nodded to him, quickly grabbing your pen and getting back to the worksheet and textbook laid in front of you. heart beating quicker than before, you took a quick glance towards him from the corner of your eye, only to see him already looking at you. the both of you quickly turned your head away from the other, faces feeling heated.

denki swore he felt sapling of the marigold in his heart. he felt it, and he felt it grow in sizes and ache at the prospect of you and him.

and it grew. it grew and it grew until it felt like he couldn’t discern the difference between him choking on the petals of orange and gold or from the shine of your smile, blinding him so dearly.

flowers growing abundantly within ribcage, similar to the feeling of an infestation of butterflies. he felt the gardenia ruffle in his system when your fingers brushed his, and he couldn’t help but want more. more and more and more. he wanted all of your sunshine; all of you.

he was thinking of what he could possibly do, how could he confess and splatter the words to you, without absolutely messing it up. it was then when he had heard their words. their words of mockery, and how they made fun of him. denki wasn’t one to be hurt as easily. he was smiles and brightness if there was a human form, and he didn’t turn down teasing. but this.

this was- they were making fun of his weaknesses- of something he couldn’t control. they way he short-circuited, left completely defenseless and unaware of his surroundings and indisputably weak. of how he couldn’t possibly become a hero when he needed saving himself. there was never a mention of his strength, of how he could put out nearly two million volts of electricity, of how he was strong.

and then the overbearing thoughts came. all the insecurities that built up since entering UA, and how they’ve been pushed down because heroes can’t show weakness. his fists clenched and knuckles whitened as heartbeat accelerated and tears formed in his eyes, threatening to fall.

he led himself down a small field, it was right next to the school, a place where you and him came to study and sometimes just spend time with each other. chanting within himself, don’t cry don’t cry don’t cry as he made his way down the grass, hands shaking from fury and desolation.

don’t cry, you’re not allowed-

“denki?”

he looked up to see your face, concern spread across your face as you assessed his expression and form. “are you-”

“no! no i’m okay, i’m fine. i promise.” he smiled, quickly wiping at his eyes for any stray tears as he looked at you brightly.

you blinked. “o-kay.” you pointed towards a willow tree near the center of the field, “wanna go sit there? just hang out?” you asked him, a tentative smile gracing your face as you reached out to touch his shoulder as a means to give him a comforting touch.

he nodded, hands still mildly shaking as he slipped his hand into yours. the both of you sat underneath the shade of the willow tree, flowers growing near the edge of its roots. you laid your head back against the trunk of the willow as you said, “you know you’re gonna be a great hero someday? i don’t know what they said, but you are. you’re strong, denki. for fucks sake, you can produce two million volts of electricity. you don’t think that’s powerful? look at your lightning scars- they show your strength; as a matter of fact i- mmph!”

you were cut off with him leaning forward and planting his lips on top of yours. his lips still had the salty taste of tears on them, as he kept one scarred hand cupping your face as he kissed you intensely, the sun shining on both of your faces as you turned properly to kiss him back with just the amount of emotion.

you leaned back for air, when he said, “i really really like you, y/n,”

you quirked an eyebrow at him, a smirk passing on your face, “yeah? well i really really like you too, chargebolt.”

he grinned at your words, as you held his hand covered in lichtenberg figures, and left a light kiss across a pale scar. heart soaring as the marigolds in his heart ruffled once more in delight of a found love.

BAKUGOU has the worst attitude when it comes to pro hero events. He’s grumpy and annoyed and he swears nothing goes right for him on those days. Bakugou always struggles to find clothes because of his attitude. He’s swearing up and down and throwing clothes around, unable to find the right outfit. 

“I don’t understand why I even have to go to this stupid party,” he yells into his closet. “I fight villains and save lives daily and they still want more from me. I have nothing to wear- that’s it! I’m not going anymore.”

You usually come in before he can explode even more, guiding him to your shared bed while you look through his closet. He’s always appreciative when you take over for him. And when you finally find something, he loves that you don’t force him into it, he loves how you patiently wait for him to pull himself together.

“You’d look so handsome in this, Katsuki.” He rolls his eyes. “It’s only for a little while, and when you come home you’ll see the surprise I have for you.” 

“I’m leaving the second my publicist says it’s appropriate.” He pulls you into a hug, swaying side to side. “And it better be a nice surprise.”

KAMINARI is laying in bed while you dig through his closet. He claims that he trusts your sense of fashion, but you and him both know it’s because he takes too long or because he chooses the most informal outfits. You usually spend a lot of time looking because his closet is a mess, clothes thrown carelessly after rummaging through it.

“You’re the best, babe,” he calls from the bed. “I’m gonna be the best dressed hero because of you.”

“If you don’t get up and help you’re gonna be the worst dressed hero at the event.”

Your threat always gets Kaminari jumping off the bed, he’s quick to help you fold all the clothes he’s left thrown around while you search. He really does mean it when he says you’re the best. It’s because of you that Kaminari feels like the hottest hero the world has ever seen, his friends think so too.

“How’s this?” You pull out a shirt and see his eyes practically sparkle.

“Chill out, Y/N,” he smirks. “Do you want someone to steal me from you? All the babes will be on me.”

“I’m positive the head of the commission won’t even bat an eye on you, Denki.” You close the closet door and walk towards the door, leaving your offended boyfriend to pout.

MIDORIYA always picks out his clothes last minute. He’s always in a rush and dumps every article of clothing onto the bed, trying with all his might to find something decent to wear. When he’s close to giving up, he’s quick to call your name, guilt evident in his voice.

“Please.” He doesn’t have to say anything else, the clothes on the bed and his apologetic smile says it all.

“You should’ve called me before taking everything out of your closet, Izu.”

While you look through the pile of clothes, everything you’ve deemed ‘not good enough’ is quickly folded (it was the least he could do). He scolds himself every time, telling himself to quit leaving things until the last minute, and to learn how to dress himself for these types of events, but he won’t lie and say he doesn’t enjoy seeing you tend to him.

“Ah, thank you thank you,” he says. “What would I do without you?”

“You’d go to the party with a shirt that says ‘dress shirt.’” His embarrassed flush stayed with Midoriya the entire party.

SERO doesn’t need help getting dressed, he just prefers it when you’re there to help. It’s fun pretending that he’s clueless while you bite your lip in concentration trying to find him something to wear.

“So… what’re we thinking? Casual, business casual, or…”

“Ya know, you’re the one going to this party, not me.” You side-eye him. “Why am I the one looking for your outfit?”

Sero doesn’t leave all the work to you, he pulls out what he thinks is appropriate for the event and asks for your opinion on them. He’s quick to model for you, enjoying the way you scrunch up your face when you don’t like it, and how your eyes light up when you do.

“See why I ask you to look for my outfit?” He turns around, giving you the full view. “You’re the reason why I’m hot.”

“I guess you’re alright,” you sigh. “You look very handsome.”

Can I just be honest for a second ? Friendships suck. You put all of your trust and emotions into someone else’s careful hands only to have them not care and show little to no emotion towards you. You go from being best friends to not even talking to each other I know I did something wrong but I’ve done everything I can what more do I need to do.

Bakugou is a bit brash and rough around the edges and he’s fully aware of that, but when it comes to you, he’s a gentleman. He is very careful, kind and protective with you. He’s really into you.

So when you started crying in the middle of a heated make out he was startled. He immediately thinks that he hurt you somehow.

“What’s wrong? Did I hurt you?” He’s looking down at you with concerned eyes and furrowed brows.

You’re embarrassed and at this point covering your face with your hands while you cried.

“Hey. Talk to me, dummy.” Bakugou spoke to you softly. He’d gently take your wrist trying to remove your hands from your face. You reluctantly let him move your hands exposing your wet eyelashes and tear stained cheeks.

“I’m sorry.” Your voice was small and you felt extremely vulnerable underneath his intense gaze.

“What are you sorry for?” At this point he’s confused just as much as he is worried.

“I don’t want to disappoint you..” You feel your bottom lip quiver and tears forming at the rim of your eyes.

“Disappoint me? What are you on about?” Bakugou is a tough boy but he’s fucking beyond worried at this point. He just wishes you would tell him what’s wrong so he could fix it.

You would finally admit to him that you don’t like your body. You never have. That it’s frustrating for you being in a relationship with him and wanting to take it to the next level but you just can’t bring yourself to be completely naked in front of him. Not yet.

Man, his heart is really aching at your words.

He’s also shocked because he genuinely believes every inch of you is perfect so it’s shocking to hear you’re worried that he won’t like your body.

He’s not the best with words but he’ll try.

“How do you not know that you’re fucking beautiful? Everything about you is perfect, even when you annoy the fuck out of me you’re still perfect. I couldn’t care less about how your body looks so don’t think stupid thoughts like that.” He tried and in the process he makes you smile the tiniest of smiles.

You feel a little silly because at the end of the day it’s Katsuki for god’s sake. This boy loves you so much.

He’s willing to tell you that you’re perfect everyday until you believe it.

Todo wouldn’t ever pressure you into doing something you weren’t ready to do or something you weren’t comfortable with. He’s extremely patient and considerate of your feelings. It’s almost scary what he can put up with.

But I think after enough rejection and excuses every time you two start to get intimate he’d start to feel like he was the problem. You know with coming from a traumatizing childhood, I don’t think he’d take rejection, especially from a loved one, very lightly. It’d really hurt him.

He just wants to make you happy in any and every way possible so he would start to think he’s lacking in some area.

Todoroki is very articulate with his thoughts so it wouldn’t be long before he brought up how he was feeling.

It’d most likely be after another rejection, usually in the middle of a heated makeout and clothing start to come off.

“Darling.. am I doing something wrong?” His voice is soft as he looks at you sitting on the other side of the bed.

“What do you mean?” You tilted his head in confusion.

He then explains how he feels and you start to feel awful. You never wanted him to feel like you didn’t want him. If anything you thought it would have been the other way around.

“Babe, no! You’re not doing anything wrong. I’m just.. kind of insecure about my body. I don’t want to upset you.” You admit.

Todoroki is upset because he thinks you’re stunning in every way and doesn’t want to accept the fact you don’t see you’re as highly as you should.

From that point forward he’s more determined to make sure he does everything in his power to make you feel beautiful and comfortable in your own skin.

“We can stop if you want to, bunny.” Izuku’s voice is gentle while he looks at you in concern.

He knew something was wrong the moment your body tensed up when his hands began to pull at your shirt so he immediately halted his actions to check on you.

“No.. I’m just..” You struggle to find your words and he could see that. It was tough for you to admit you had body insecurities to him because you’ve never told anyone how you really feel. You didn’t like being vulnerable so you kept it all to yourself hoping that one day you’ll magically wake up and love yourself but it doesn’t work that way. You knew that.

“It’s me.. your Midoriya. You can tell me anything, remember?” He gave you a reassuring smile and a gentle squeeze on your leg.

“My body.. I don’t..” You trailed off feeling more and more anxious.

Izuku wouldn’t press you to continue speaking because he would already connect the dots. Not from just now but other behaviors he’s noticed throughout his relationship with you. It all makes sense now.

He’s also upset that he didn’t figure this out sooner on his own so he could comfort and support you.

Izuku is very in touch with his emotions so it wouldn’t surprise me if he starts tearing up at you. He’d immediately reassure you that you’re beyond beautiful and he doesn’t care about how your body looks, he never has. He just loves everything about you.

He doesn’t expect for all your insecurities to disappear at his words either because he knows it doesn’t work like that.

Izuku is 1000% ready and willing to help you build your confidence every step of the way.

You two would end up cuddling and just opening up to one another. You both pinky promised that whenever you two were going through something that you would say something so you can be there for each other.

Kirishima doesn’t know whether to be angry at society’s unachievable beauty standards or mad at himself for “failing” to make you feel beautiful and comfortable in your own skin.

Of course he was unaware of how you felt about your body but he still feels like a bad boyfriend. He thinks he should’ve known sooner so he could do something.. anything.

Kirishima 100% wrapping you up in his arms and smothering you in a hug because he feels like right now that’s all he can do.

He’s probably more in love with you then you realize.

He’s a little shy in the relationship at first.

He smiles more often.

He won’t show too much affection towards you when in public unless you ask.

But when the two of you are alone he is all touchy and feely.

He will do whatever it takes to be pressed right up against you.

If your hands are ever cold, he’ll use his Quirk to warm them up for you.

His sister would always bother him to come introduce you to the family.

His family ends up loving you as much as Shoto loves you.

Fuyumi found this to be very adorable while Natsu faked being disgusted. He makes sure to be extra careful with you and makes sure he never hardens on accident in case of hurting you.

He compliments you every morning. Sometimes on your hair, your outfit, maybe your mood. He never misses a day.

It’s his mission to never forget about complementing you.

You love braiding little braids into his hair when it’s down and he just lets you. He won’t admit it but he loves the way you touch his hair.

You love thirsting over him and he would get all shy and blush super red.

He loves sharing his food with you as well. Whenever he notices that you like a certain food more than usual, he’ll pick up his portion and feed it to you with the biggest smile.

It was currently movie night with class 1-A. Everyone was situated around the couch as Momo went through a bunch of movies for the class to pick. You and Kirishima were sitting on the floor in front of the couch. Your back was pressed against the couch and Kirishima had rested his head between your squishy thighs as you ran your hands through his soft hair now that the products were all washed out.

After a very tough training session, Denki had yet again used too much of his Quirk. After taking the other team out with long shocks of vaults his brain got totally fried in the process. You were right there to catch him as he slumped against your breasts.

“B-babe your boobs feel so nice,” he mumbles against them as he begins to turn his head from side to side to hurry his face deeper into them.

“DENKI! We are in public,” you practically yell at him.

He only giggles in response.

Tamaki Amajiki

Possessive but won’t show it.

Like Todoroki he won’t show that much affection to you in public. It’s not that he is embarrassed or anything, he’s just very nervous and hates being in public anyways.

Lowkey doesn't mind holding your hand in public though.

He feels safe and confronted when he holds your hand.

Tamaki loves your home cooked meals 100%.

Whenever the two of you decide to play board games or card games together, you discover that Tamaki is a whole new person.

He is competitive as fuck and will not tolerate losing.

After he beats your ass at UNO, he would hug you tight and reassure you that everything he said during the game was to “set the mood”.

You were talking to someone who came up to you at the mall asking for your number when you felt something slither around your ankle and you instantly knew what it was. You assumed that Tamaki was only a few feet away from you and by the texture of the thing that held your ankle, you knew it was one of Tamaki’s manifested tentacles and by the way the tentacle squeezed your ankle gently meant Tamaki was uncomfortable and he wanted to leave.

You declined to give your number to the stranger and walked away to leave with Amajiki. As soon as you were beside him, he grabbed your hand and held it in a tight grip. “We should go home,” Tamaki states firmly. You only giggle at his cuteness and follows him hom.

Shinso Hitoshi

He will scare any male trying to talk to you away within 3 minutes.

He would stand behind at a good distance to make sure you get your personal space but he WILL glare at the person so hard.

He is already super cold and scary looking and especially with that Quirk of his.

No one dares to bother you. Ever.

He is your ‘scary dog privilege’.

If anyone ever ignores his stares and tries to make a move on you Shinso is quick to wrap his capture scarf around you and drag you back into his arms.

He loves talking about his lessons with Aizawa Sensei and retelling some of Aizawa’s hero stories.

Hitoshi never ever misses a text or call from you ever. Even if the two of you were mad at each other, he would still pick up no matter what.

He is a very big hugger when he sleeps. Big spoon or little spoon it doesn’t matter.

You and Hitoshi were sitting together under a large tree after his lessons with Aizawa. You watched his expressions as he retold what he had done at today’s lesson and all the things he learned. He gets up at times and demonstrates some of his new moves as well. You watched in wonder at your boyfriend's graceful movements and complimented him profusely when be did an extra cool one.

“I’m so proud of you Hitoshi. You’ve come a long ways,” you tell him, clapping your hands loudly as he shows off his new capture trick.

Shinso grins at your words and throws his hands at you, instantly his capture weapon wrapped itself around you, inclosing you within the fabric. Shinso pulls your wrapped form into his arms and gives you a long kiss on your lips and purs, “Thank you, my love.”
