Once Xavier Leaned Down Within Her Reach, She Hummed Affectionately And Worked On Gently Wiping The Flour

"Lilies of the valley for Linkon's very own Lily? I think these are long overdue. I know you've been busy on missions lately, but I want you to know everybody in the association talks about how they miss you're beautiful smile when you're away. Me included!"

"Oh, thank you so much! These are beautiful!"

Lily beams as she accepts the flowers, only to find herself getting kind of emotional as she continued listening.

"You're so sweet! I'm sorry that I haven't been around much lately, like you said, it's just been so busy... Hopefully things will settle down some soon, I miss spending time with everyone."

Lily took to quietly humming when he stayed quiet, wanting to fill the silence in hopes he wouldn't feel quite so awkward about the embrace. She was half tempted to start swaying them a little as if they were dancing, but that might be a bit too much, especially with how exhausted he seemed. While she wouldn't blame him for falling asleep like this... She's not entirely sure she could support his weight properly or move him anywhere more comfortable.

When he finally stepped back, she stretched out her arms so they wouldn't get too sore. Her smile didn't falter though as she looked up at him, biting back giggles. It's kind of cute, seeing such a big strong guy get awkward over something as simple as a hug.

Perking up slightly at the offer of chocolate, she did accept a piece, but gave him a very gentle nudge as she unwrapped it. "You don't need to repay me or anything, honest." She reassured. "I enjoyed it too, and I'm just glad I could give you a moment to relax, as short of a moment as it was."

Her eyebrows furrowed for a moment, wishing there was more she could do to comfort and support him, but she couldn't think of a single thing... Hopefully that hug will help at least a little bit for now.

Lily holds her arms out slightly towards Dawnbreaker, hoping to make it so he won't feel bad if he refuses her invitation.

"Would you like a hug?"

His eyes light up briefly at the prospect of physical comfort.

"...Yes, I would."

He steps towards her, enveloping her in a gentle embrace to avoid causing her any discomfort, despite his wishes. He leans his forehead on her shoulder, closing his eyes.

*Gives Lily a piece of grapefruit and runs*

Lily blinks in confusion watching you run off after depositing the piece of fruit into her hand, head tilting ever so slightly. Shaking her head to dismiss the confusion for the moment, she examined what exactly you had given her.

"Oh, grapefruit! I haven't had this in forever!" She beamed, eating it carefully since she doesn't want to make a mess. "Nice little treat." She hummed to herself, having honestly forgotten how it tasted it's been so long since she'd allowed herself to have any. One tiny piece can't hurt, right?

Lily yelped in surprise at the sudden impact before turning to Rafayel, seeming almost offended for all of... two seconds.

A wide grin spread across her face as she leaned down to make a snowball of her own. "Are you sure you want to play this game~?" she asked playfully, glancing up at him from where her hands were making quick work of the snow.

Lily gave a thoughtful hum as she considered their options. She kept near Xavier but still managed to avoid the other people on the sidewalk with ease.

"Maybeeee sushi? Or a new type of pizza?" She suggested after some thought.

After spending the morning doing research on places in Linkon City that offer milk tea, Lily finally found a place that seemed like it would be a nice place to visit and had the coffee milk tea that Xavier mentioned. Plus it wasn't far from a few good places to eat so they'd have options based on what they were feeling up to without having to go all the way across town. Perfect.

Lily finally sent Xavier a text in the late morning.

'I found a place that has that coffee milk tea you mentioned! And it has really good reviews.'

After a moment of thought, she sent another text as well.

'And thank you for walking me home last night. I really appreciated it. It was nice, looking at the stars with you.'

If not for the sporadic texts, Xavier would still be asleep. Outside the birds that often bickered over his balcony were squawking at a volume loudly. The combination of factors is enough to stir him, just barely. He knows its her before having to unlock his phone.

↪[ It was nice. Let's do it again sometime ]

In a flash he rinses off, takes care of basic hygiene, and is donning a favored hoodie in spite of the weather.

By the time he gets downstairs, he's already rubbing his eyes again as he knocks on the door.

He's an idiot, but he's our idiot :P

I'm at least good about making sure I get my work done at a reasonable pace still! So then I get to go home and scroll on my phone in the comfort of my couch!

"Then shouldn't you call me once you're caught up and ready for the rambling?" She asked, her tone both playful and genuine. She doesn't want to rush him after all, so it's better for it to be on his terms.

"Maybe?" She hummed thoughtfully, absently chewing on the straw. "It would be nice, just get to relax for a bit."

Lily brought the bowls over at the request, offering him a reassuring smile. "I know that you didn't mean to cause the panic. But the way it sounded, I thought you were being attacked or something." She explained, finding a cloth to start cleaning up the batter from... everywhere.

"Red velvet cookies, hm?" She hummed thoughtfully. "Well, we can give the recipe a try after we clean up, but let's read through all of the instructions before we try it." She suggested with a lighthearted laugh.

With the initial panic subsiding, she was back to finding his kitchen struggles endearing, her expression softening. "And if you're ever struggling with a recipe, you can call me for help."

Yes, he's done so by calling her today... but hopefully he'll call her before his apartment explodes next time-

[Phone call, Xavier's voice sounds urgent] "I'm in great danger I need you to come downstairs right now. Please! You're the only one that can help. In fact, the entire complex may be in danger if you don't help me stop this right now."

As soon as she registered the urgency and he mentioned 'upstairs', Lily was rushing out of her apartment, only sparing enough time to grab her guns as a precaution.

"I'm on my way!" She reassured as she hurried upthe flight of stairs between them. Her thoughts were already racing a mile a minute, wondering what could possibly be causing Xavier of all people to struggle and call for help, especially without causing much of a ruckus.

By the time she reached his door her heart was pounding and she was braced for a fight.

Name: Lucas (ofc it means Light :P Though they absolutely call him their Little Star as well)

Gender: Male

General Appearance: Blue eyes with gold flecks, blonde hair like Lily’s

Personality: Smart, but can be hard to motivate, generally chill. Never resists nap time, but hates bedtime because he likes how pretty everything is at night. 

Special Talents: 

Communicating without talking

He's a very expressive child, even before he can talk, he manages it make it pretty clear exactly what he wants

Potential Powers: I feel like if he has an EVOL, then it would be similar to Xavier’s Light EVOL, if not just straight up the same EVOL. Lily won't ever admit it out loud, but she's kind of grateful that her child would have his EVOL instead of hers, because having an EVOL best suited for support definitely messed with her self esteem. 

Who they like better: Xavier, since he thinks he's the absolute coolest, and Xavier falls victim to puppy dog eyes a lot easier than Lily does. 

Who they take after more: Pretty even split? Most people think he's practically a mini-Xavier, but Lily’s influence is still definitely there, just harder to notice. He's crafty like her, and shares her habit of mimicking the people he's around / likes. That just means that, as a kid, he ends up mimicking Xavier a lot. He also gets his patience and tact from his mother as well. 

Personal Headcanon: 

He loves helping his parents in the kitchen (and 100% ‘tattles’ if Xavier ends up in the kitchen when Lily isn't looking, unless he's bribed)

Though, he also ‘tattles’ on Lily if she pushes herself too much and does chores or anything when Xavier tells her not to, so it's kept pretty fair

Despite how much he looks up to his parents, and how they're both Deepspace Hunters, he doesn't really want to be a Hunter. He wants to help people, and he loves ‘training’ (play fighting that actually teaches him useful skills too) with his dad, but if asked if he wants to be a Hunter he just kinda… shrugs

Short Bio: Lucas is honestly spoiled growing up, but of course his parents make sure he doesn't end up spoiled rotten. He's not a materialistically needy kid honestly, he just wants to be near at least one of them as much as possible.
