Once Freed From His Grip, Lily Hummed And Put The Tray In The Oven, Setting A Timer On Her Phone.  

Lily flushed at his questioning, even as her shoulders shook with barely suppressed giggles. She hadn't intended to roast him, but also.... It's kind of hard not to tease him about it.

"I don't know if I'd call it a roast per-say..." She hummed playfully as she got the sheet ready to put the cookie dough on for their first batch. "Just some lighthearted teasing."

She scrunched her nose up at him playfully when he pinched her cheek, not that she did anything to try and stop him. "We'll need to bake them for about 10 minutes per batch, and just check on them to make sure that they're cooked all the way through. I'll show you what that looks like with this first batch."

[Phone call, Xavier's voice sounds urgent] "I'm in great danger I need you to come downstairs right now. Please! You're the only one that can help. In fact, the entire complex may be in danger if you don't help me stop this right now."

As soon as she registered the urgency and he mentioned 'upstairs', Lily was rushing out of her apartment, only sparing enough time to grab her guns as a precaution.

"I'm on my way!" She reassured as she hurried upthe flight of stairs between them. Her thoughts were already racing a mile a minute, wondering what could possibly be causing Xavier of all people to struggle and call for help, especially without causing much of a ruckus.

By the time she reached his door her heart was pounding and she was braced for a fight.

"Not just a toy, no." Lily reassured quickly, even if she knew he was just joking, shaking her own head. "But that doesn't change the fact that I love how you react to things."

His question earned a thoughtful hum as she put her phone away, after sending him the best of the pictures, of course.

"Well... Is there anything you want me to do?"

Honestly, Lily hadn't thought too hard on him knowing where her building was. Xavier had been over to visit plenty of times, and considering his apparent habit of bragging to Jeremiah about the plushies he wins her, it's not far fetched to figure that he's mentioned they live only a floor away.

So his quick clarification just makes her laugh at her phone, shaking her head affectionately as she types her reply.

[ -> Jeremiah: Don't worry, I honestly figured that Xavier had mentioned it at some point. It's nbd. I'm actually the apartment just below his. ]

[ -> Jeremiah: But that sounds like a plan! ]

Some part of her told her that she shouldn't give out the specific location of her apartment so freely, but if he and Xavier get along so well, he must be a good guy! Plus he was so concerned about not creeping her out, she can't even pretend she's concerned.

Lily stuck her tongue out at him playfully in retaliation, snickering as he leaned into her in turn. “It’s almost as though I value your opinion or something.” She teased lightheartedly.

At the intersection she took the lead again, relieved that they aren’t terribly far from the pizza parlor. She doesn’t mind doing a lot of walking, of course! But she won’t complain about an opportunity to be lazy, either.

“That’s fair.” She hummed “Push comes to shove, we can always go to one of our places and sit on the balcony.” She added, in case they don’t want to risk dealing with people.

After spending the morning doing research on places in Linkon City that offer milk tea, Lily finally found a place that seemed like it would be a nice place to visit and had the coffee milk tea that Xavier mentioned. Plus it wasn't far from a few good places to eat so they'd have options based on what they were feeling up to without having to go all the way across town. Perfect.

Lily finally sent Xavier a text in the late morning.

'I found a place that has that coffee milk tea you mentioned! And it has really good reviews.'

After a moment of thought, she sent another text as well.

'And thank you for walking me home last night. I really appreciated it. It was nice, looking at the stars with you.'

If not for the sporadic texts, Xavier would still be asleep. Outside the birds that often bickered over his balcony were squawking at a volume loudly. The combination of factors is enough to stir him, just barely. He knows its her before having to unlock his phone.

↪[ Audio: I'm awake. I'm up. I'm coming. ]

↪[ It was nice. Let's do it again sometime ]

In a flash he rinses off, takes care of basic hygiene, and is donning a favored hoodie in spite of the weather.

By the time he gets downstairs, he's already rubbing his eyes again as he knocks on the door.

For Xavier and Lily!

Name: Lucas (ofc it means Light :P Though they absolutely call him their Little Star as well)

Gender: Male

General Appearance: Blue eyes with gold flecks, blonde hair like Lily’s

Personality: Smart, but can be hard to motivate, generally chill. Never resists nap time, but hates bedtime because he likes how pretty everything is at night. 

Special Talents: 

Communicating without talking

He's a very expressive child, even before he can talk, he manages it make it pretty clear exactly what he wants

Potential Powers: I feel like if he has an EVOL, then it would be similar to Xavier’s Light EVOL, if not just straight up the same EVOL. Lily won't ever admit it out loud, but she's kind of grateful that her child would have his EVOL instead of hers, because having an EVOL best suited for support definitely messed with her self esteem. 

Who they like better: Xavier, since he thinks he's the absolute coolest, and Xavier falls victim to puppy dog eyes a lot easier than Lily does. 

Who they take after more: Pretty even split? Most people think he's practically a mini-Xavier, but Lily’s influence is still definitely there, just harder to notice. He's crafty like her, and shares her habit of mimicking the people he's around / likes. That just means that, as a kid, he ends up mimicking Xavier a lot. He also gets his patience and tact from his mother as well. 

Personal Headcanon: 

He loves helping his parents in the kitchen (and 100% ‘tattles’ if Xavier ends up in the kitchen when Lily isn't looking, unless he's bribed)

Though, he also ‘tattles’ on Lily if she pushes herself too much and does chores or anything when Xavier tells her not to, so it's kept pretty fair

Despite how much he looks up to his parents, and how they're both Deepspace Hunters, he doesn't really want to be a Hunter. He wants to help people, and he loves ‘training’ (play fighting that actually teaches him useful skills too) with his dad, but if asked if he wants to be a Hunter he just kinda… shrugs

Short Bio: Lucas is honestly spoiled growing up, but of course his parents make sure he doesn't end up spoiled rotten. He's not a materialistically needy kid honestly, he just wants to be near at least one of them as much as possible.
