What a year this week has been.
Danny shows up at one point, looking confused because Dad was supposed to be home hours ago. And now his dad has decided to take up crime fighting? Is Danny... a bad influence??!
But his dad encourages him to join in crime fighting, it's a bonding activity, I just want to get to know that part of your life better, and well. Danny's weak.
He steals one of Tim's old Robin costumes, and decides to be Robin for the night. The moment he spin kicks a thug shouting, 'batter up!' the batkids know: they have a new sibling.
Note, Danny was not in Phantom form the entire time. He was entirely part of the black haired blue eye Robin squad.
Tim was four days into a sleep deficit so he felt that to say that this predicament was his fault was a bit of a reach.
For it to be his fault he would have had to cognizant of the last 16 hours.
All he wanted to do was take a power nap in the nearest closest durring the Waynetech gala but nooo Bruce had to be taken hostage by the Joker.
So he did what he thought would work best and shoved uncle Clark into the nearest emergency bat storage and told him to suit up.
Maybe he looked a bit more confused than normal but they didn’t need a reporter they needed Batman!
That being said wasn’t uncle Clark supposed to be off-world?
Oh no.

Jack honestly had no clue what was happening for the last six months so when he was told to be Batman he merely just shrugged as the frankly exhausted teen left him to his own.
With his son turning out to be part ghost to the government hunting down his said son and having to move shop halfway across the continent.
This might as well happen.
Grinning like a kid on Christmas, Jack plopped on the finishing touch.
“Oh Danno is not going to believe this!”
Raising a cloaked arm with a flourish Jack struck a pose.
“Alrighty Jack enough messing around! Time to save the party, Fenton style!
Shifting his feet, Jack took a deep breath before smoothing his face the best he could. After all, couldn’t have a smiling Batman! Before walking out the room and taking running leap through the wall to the streets of Gotham before grappling to the nearest building.
Alfred: You are homeless right now? Please, stay with me.
Danny: I couldn't take up your time. I've hardly given you the time! I've never paid my child support, I'm a horrible father, I couldn't possibly take anything from you.
Alfred: If we're taling about time given, I am over a hundred years old. That seems like plenty of time to me.
Danny: Only a hundred?! Baby! My baby boy, I can't believe I abandoned my baby!
Bruce, quietly watching and losing his shit in the background:
Danny, on a time mission for Clockwork, drags an injured Alfred Pennyworth across the Beach to safety on D-Day. While performing first aid, Danny gets clipped by a bullet, but hopped up on adrenaline, he doesn’t notice and his blood, imbued with ectoplasm, comes into contact with Alfred’s wounds.
80 years later, on the run from the GIW and his parents, Danny runs to Gotham where he meets a surprisingly spry 100 year old man, not looking a day over 60.
Wonder Woman: Good news and bad news. Which order do you want it in?
Nightwing:...Gimme the good first.
Wonder Woman: I have reunited with the ghost of my ancestor Pandora. She says she is proud of me and that I am doing well.
Nightwing: That's nice. What's the bad news?
Wonder Woman: The American government has declared war against the realm of the death and dead gods. Your brother-in-potentia is likely the reason this universe has not been yet annihilated.
Nightwing: Emergency meeting?
Wonder Woman: Emergency meeting.
Pre-GIW disbandment
Dick: Where's Danny?
Alfred: Young master Danny has requested more time to rest and will be joining us quite later.
Damian: (stabbing food) Tt. He acts like the most fatigued person here.
Danny: (Walking in half asleep) Because convincing gods to not scorch this planet down to the fucking sun is, Dames. Let me off.
More fanart for @st-whalefall 's amazing story In the Hall of the Mountain King. Spoilers for chapter six!
I've never done any kind of mini comic before, I think it turned out cool.
Danny: I was fourteen, I didn't fucking have hormonal balance much less anything else you morons.
Danny didn't hate the Justice League for never showing up to deal with the world ending things he dealt with. He's not been upset with them over this since he learned about overshadowing being a thing.
That is, he wasn't upset with them. Until he met Dan. Dan who had killed the Justice League. Dan who had destroyed the world. Dan who had told him about Justice League Dark. The secret magic division of the Justice League that apparently could have dealt with the bs Amity Park has been through since the portal opened.
They had the resources to avoid being overshadowed and they were, even just one of them, powerful enough to have taken down Fright Knight or Vlad or Pariah Dark. Instead they'd marked Amity a "no fly zone" and promptly ignored the town. Their reason? Danny was already taking care of it.
So years later, he's King of the Infinite Realms and being summoned by the Justice League. (in all his kingly regalia of course) He's being rather belligerent whenever one of the magic members start talking, but is rather friendly towards the others. When asked why he mentions Amity Park.
The JLD's reply? The Embodiment lord of Balance is taking care of that place.
Dinah's never been particularly... religious. She hardly ever prays, but even less expects to be answered. But the last time, she was, and now...
Dinah knelt at the small altar she had made. It was simple, and honestly more of a completed checklist of things from the book Constantine had given her.
A metal bowl of offered food. Dinah went with grapes as it seemed the safest option, given she didn't know who or what she was praying too. Sticks of incense, an unoffensive orange blossom scent. A cup of rose water, as a fancy but low key offering. She wasn't still entirely sure about doing this, but, well... They'd answered her before, and she didn't know if they'd answer again. Better to establish some form of rapport now.
John's book had been very clear that there was no fury like a god scorned, and Dinah would rather not to have to fight off another invasion.
Dinah carefully lit the incense and clasped her hands in what she hoped was an appropriately prayerful position.
"Hello," Dinah said quietly. "I am Black Canary, and two weeks ago you answered my prayer to help protect people. I don't know if it was a one off thing, or you want me to be a follower of yours, or what you want at all.
I'm not going to demand anything. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for answering my prayers. Thank you for lending me the power to protect people. Thank you for helping me save my loved ones. Whoever you are... thank you,"
Dinah kept her head lowered for a few moments more, breathing in the orange blossom incense and out her worries and fears. It felt a little like meditation.
When Dinah lifted her head, her eyes immediately zoned in on the empty bowl and cup. The cup was empty, but in place of the grapes there was a scrap of blindingly neon green paper.
Dinah picked it up carefully, and not for the first time hoped that John hadn't steered her wrong.
I'm glad I could help, it read. I'm called Phantom, and if you need help protecting people again, I will be there if you call. Acceptable offerings include chips, soda, and NASA souvenirs if it's a really big thing.
Well. Dinah blinked at the paper. That could have gone worse.
There's a huge alien spacecraft about to land, it's a total invasion attempt, if that mothership lands then it's gameover, and it's all hands on deck.
Specifically, the Mothership is an unholy amalgamation of magic and alien tech, and if it lands, it'll start pumping pollutants that will change the ecosystem on Earth and make it unable to support Humans.
It'll terraform into something for the aliens at an extremely accelerated rate.
Everyone is preoccupied.
The Mothership is getting closer.
Dinah prays to someone, anyone, to help her keep that thing off the ground.
She opens her mouth...
...And lets out the strongest, most powerful scream she's ever let out.
The Mothership isn't just thrown back, it's torn to pieces. Those pieces are then shoved well past the stratosphere.
Anything that was in the air around the mothership is decimated.
The buildings below it are starting to crumble.
Black Canary stands on the street, voice gone from the strain, and stares blankly at the destruction.
Who, exactly, had she called on?
Or: Undirected prayers go to the Infinite Realms, for anyone to look at. Prayers allow the Prayee to borrow something from the Being that accepts the Prayer. Danny accepts Black Canary's, and lets her borrow his Wail. Except he wasn't expecting the difference between his home dimension and hers to be so great, because while it's considered an overpowered ability even in his own dimension, in her's it could accurately be classified as Godly.
