miss the days when I was just planning to read A Little Life, when I didn’t know anything of Jude St. Francis, when he was just the “enigmatic lawyer” on the back summary

dear god this book. this book is. i'm consuming it like i did with books back in third grade, back when life was just beginning to crumble and i was going down with it, back before i knew just how bad it could get. i'm devouring this book and it is so painful. it's speaking to me and it's making me cry.

I think Harold and Julia were the last to strike me as folks who would have Boston accents, which is why the thought of the two having a boston accent is so funny. Even if it were mild, appearing only in specific phrases or emotional states; amidst an argument at Harold's dinners, ect.

Now -- would I imagine Jude, Willem, ( ect ) have New York-based accents in general? Probably not. Maybe I could see it in Willem amidst things such as road rage, busy streets, ect; though, really, I could only see it wholly when it comes to Andy. So on, so forth.

it’s just. the way to the man in rome, jude is just a good looking boy who he complemented to his father, but the man will never know everything that happened to jude. that jude thinks he’s horrifically ugly. the way jude’s story ends. it makes me so fucking ill

not going to lie a specific scene in the book that really fucking hits me sometimes and i need to double down is when someone tells harold jude is beautiful . i just can’t. there’s something so solemn about it

everyday i get more and more like jude (pls help)

i will literally never shut up about Een Klein Leven but I'm doing a rewatch (again) and holy shit I will also never shut up about Ramsey Nasr's acting. The face he makes when Brother Puke tells him they're a couple now (yall know what i mean) is absolutely HEARTBREAKING
