Ways to show your caregiver (Mommy/Daddy) respect everyday:

1. Be their cheerleader, caregivers do so much to make sure littles have everything they need. Show appreciation for their success in everyday life.

2. Take care of yourself before anyone else. Be somebody they’re proud to take care of and show off to the world. (Eat healthy foods, workout, complete regular hygiene routines and take any medication you might be on.)

3. Make sure your caregiver has enough time for themselves. Having a needy little who wants attention is a full time job in itself. Respect that your caregiver needs time to unwind and do the things that make them happy.

4. Don’t ve afraid to ask for help when you need it. Going to your caregiver for advice shows that your respect their opinion, and trust that they know what’s best for you.

5. Say thank-you for everything they do, big or small. If your caregiver does not feel that their efforts are appreciated, they may stop doing some of the things that you count on to make you happy.

6. Greet your caregiver at the door with a smile and a kiss when they come home from a hard day. It can make that terrible day they’ve had at the office dissappear when their little is eager to see and embrace them.

7. Be enthusiastic about bedroom play. Whether you are the caregiver or little, nobody feels good about themselves if they get sexually turned down. Make sure they know you want them, and how much you love to please them in the bedroom.

8. If your caregiver wants to discuss something with you, give them your undivided attention. Put your phone down, turn off Netflix or stop running around the house. Make sure you use eye contact and pay attention to every word they say.

9. If you were told to do something by a certain time,  make sure you complete it by that time. Prove that you respect their decision,  and can follow through.

10. Do not act out to get attention. Your caregiver knows you want attention, snuggling up to them or writing sweet messages about how much you miss them is enough. There is no need to anger them and be disrespectful just to get a rise out of them.

Reasons I wish I had a daddy:

1) someone to call me pumpkin, or baby girl, or something like that. 2) someone to hold me all the time 3) someone to bring me my meds when I need them so I never forget 4) someone to cuddle when I get upset or just want to cuddle. 5) someone to talk to and play with 6) someone to always care about me and help me through everyday problems because I’m too little to face this big old world on my own…
