lol this was requested then i accidentally deleted the request my b, but here it is!

dude let me tell u i love highschool au’s thats some good shit right there!!

wasn’t sure if u wanted just general headcanons or specific ones for each charcacter or an x mc kinda thing so i did kinda a mix of all of that lol

So the rfa is basically like the student council

They plan dances and do fundraisers and what not

Everyone knows who they are, the rfa is like an elite little club that does everything for the school

And you’re a new kid

You had gotten directions for your next class from a teacher, but you’d gotten turned around a lost at some point

Class had already started, and there was nobody in the halls to ask other than some boy standing by the windows on his phone

Ignoring the fact that he was a bit intimidating and also supposed to be in class, you walked up to the pink haired boy to ask directions

His turquoise eyes did not look amused, but nevertheless, he pointed towards the door at the end of the hall

“It’s that one.”

“…Oh, ok uh thanks.”

He was gone with no response

Speed walking to the door, you mentally prepared yourself for the embarrassment of having to tell the teacher in front of the whole class you had gotten lost

But when you opened the door, only 5 people were in the room on the other side

Out of almost nowhere, Mizuki fell to their knees, shaking uncontrollably, broken cries escaping from their throat. Their breath quickened, accidentally breathing in the dirt below them, causing them to choke.

“…Don’t breathe in the dirt, Mizuki. I’m with you.” Rui keeps his voice quiet, crouching alongside the convulsing figure.

Even through the sobbing and screaming mess, he would be by their side, comforting them and supporting them no matter what.

We’ve been through so much together. No matter what, I will support them through to the end.

It was a long while before Mizuki could even put their head up, but Rui’s expression never changed. It never got angrier, or annoyed. Rather, it showed genuine concern.

“Are you able to talk about it?”

Mizuki stayed silent, but showed a slow nod.

“Hmm. Would you like to write it down instead?”

Another nod.

“Are you alright if we moved to some other location to sit?”

A hesitant, but sure nod.

“I’ll help you up, okay?”

Rui stands up, outstretching his hand, waiting for them to accept.

Ena waited for their secret.

Rui waited for them to accept help.

Mizuki took his hand, slowly getting up on their feet. Their knees felt a slight ache from being on the ground, but that wasn’t the main issue.

Rui walks slowly, careful steps along the dirt. He’s not dragging them, but rather leading them. They hold his hand tightly, a lifeline while they’re lost in the forest of ill-minded people and darkness. Rui doesn’t mind.

Finally, the two reach a quiet secluded spot, and the two sit down on a well worn wooden bench that slightly creaked with both of their weights.

“Are you ready?”

Mizuki nods.

“I think I can talk about it now, Rui.” Mizuki quietly admits, gripping the edge of their skirt.

“Then I’m all ears.” Rui responds, copying their energy as to not make them more anxious.

Mizuki didn’t know where to start, yet they started speaking. They felt as if everything came out like a waterfall, unable to be controlled as they dug their nails into their knees, waiting for an expression change, a look of disapproval; anything to tell them to stop.

But he kept listening intently, his eyes never deviating of focus.

“…and then I was running so fast, I couldn’t breathe— and then I came to the back of the school and you found me….” Mizuki trailed off, their voice beginning to quiver with fear, anxiety, sadness, anger; maybe a mix of the sort.

“I’m stupid for running. And I’m… sorry.” Mizuki lowers their head again, feeling the strange yet familiar feeling of tears welling up in their eyes.

“What are you sorry for?”

“Sorry for… bo-bothering you with my talk, and sorry to Ena for— for leaving her behind—“ Mizuki answered, between sobs that left them breathless— “and sorry to— to myself…for being so stupid and thinking people would ever accept me….”

“You aren’t stupid, Mizuki. And,”Rui takes his hand and hovers it over theirs— “We’re in this together. Remember what I said earlier today?”

Mizuki is silent once more.

“And those kids don’t understand, never understand, how much you are as a person apart from what you look like or act like. It’s not your fault they can’t accept who you are.”

Mizuki nods with acquiesce, softly and slightly, tears still falling and making glowing puddles on the back of their hands; soaking their skirt a deep dark blue.

The time was near close to night time, and the sky was threateningly dark.

“It’s getting late, Mizuki.” Rui points out. “Would you like me to walk you home?”

He gets super quiet if someone starts obviously flirting with you

he may be a little dense but he aint dumb

If he sees youre uncomfortable though, he'll step in to protect you

I close the door behind Y/N as we walk into the arcade, a small smile on my face as I do so. I've been waiting for this arcade date for a long time. Finally, we can have some time for oursel—

“Y/N!!!!”

My thoughts are interrupted by a loud male voice coming from the crane game direction.

A boy suddenly runs up to us, almost crashing into Y/N due to his current speed.

“Y/N, Y/N! You did so great at the school musical today that I just had to get you this plush to celebrate!”

The boy talks before energetically handing Y/N a bunny plush.

“Um, thanks.... This is very... Sweet of you.”

“You're welcome! Hey, since we're both here, do you wanna hangout together? Maybe grab a bite when we're done?”

I turn my head to Y/N, waiting to see her answer, as it would be impolite for me to butt into someone else's conversation.

“S-Sorry, but I'm on a date with someone already.”

“Y... You are?”

Looking surprised, he turns his towards me, before blinking and turning back to Y/N.

“Oh! That's okay! I'll see you later then.”

After the boy walks off, I look at the big bunny plush in her hand, and have a sudden urge to go the crane game section.

“I'd like to try my luck at a few crane games, if you don't mind.”

“Huh? Oh that's fine.”

I smile slightly and grasp her hand before leading her to the crane game sections.

“What plushie do you want?”

“Me?”

I watch Y/N's eyes shift from each of the crane games, before her mouth opens as she points to a plushie in one of the machines.

“I kind of want that cat plushie.”

“Alright.”

I walk up to the machine which holds the desired plushie and enter a few coins inside.

“I'm gonna go to the bathroom real quick.”

“Mhm.”

I hum absentmindedly, my attention focused on the crane machine and the plush.

Y/N soon returns from the bathroom 5 minutes later to see me waiting for her with a boatload of plushies in my arms, before handing them to her.

“Toya? How did you get so many plushies while I was gone?? It's been like, 5 minutes.. Why did you get me all these?”

“I had a sudden urge to get you some plushies when I say that boy give you that plushie. It's weird....”

“You.... Did?”

I nod as she takes some of the plushies from my hands.

“I felt this weird feeling when that boy came up to you. I don't know why, but I really didn't like it when he put his hands on your shoulders.”

“Maybe you were just.... Jealous...?”

“Jealous?”

I tilt my head to the side, not having thought of that concept.

“Hm. Is that a bad thing?”

“Well... As long as you don't do anything rash.... I don't see anything wrong with it... Though, you know, you shouldn't be jealous... I mean... It's... Not like I would leave you anyway..”

A small smile curls on my lips after hearing her words, causing me to pat her head gently.

“I know that, I.... I'm sorry for being jealous.”

I open the door for me and Y/N, my hand not leaving hers as we enter the small cafe.

We wait in line for a minute or two before I hear a voice.

“Next— eh? Y/N? Hey, what's up?”

My head perks up from my phone and to the voice behind the counter.

“Oh, hi.”

I see Y/N give a shy wave to the boy, before the boy talks again.

“It's nice to see you again. I've actually been thinking recently, maybe we could go out sometime to—”

“Hey, can I get two cheesecakes please?”

I cut the boy's sentence short, lightly slamming my hand on the counter.

“Uh, yeah, sure.”

The boy takes a couple of plates before continuing his sentence.

“Anyway, as I was saying, I was thinking maybe we could—”

“Oh, and here's the money for mine and hers.”

I slam the money down on the counter while making eye contact with the boy.

“Dude, do you mind? I'm tryna ask a girl out.”

“Actually, I do mind. That's my girlfriend you're trying to ask out.”

....

He narrows his eyes at me and I do just the same.

While speaking, he slams the two plates of cheesecake on the counter.

“Here's your cheesecake.”

“Thanks.”

I walk away aggressively as I grip Y/N's hand.

I plop down on a chair by the table, feeling moody.

...

“....Are you—”

“No, I'm not jealous! Why would you think that? You're not gonna leave me for him, obviously, I know that!”

....

“I was just gonna ask if you were gonna use that fork. They only gave us one.”

....

“I'll go get another one.”

I go to the counter to obtain a fork before handing it to Y/N after returning.

....

“So.... Why are you jealous?—”

“I'm not jealous!”

“But your actions show that you are..”

I see her look away shyly as she takes a small bite of her cheesecake.

“You know... I'll never leave you...”

“I know I know....”

“So...”

“I'm sorry, okay?”

Summary: During the school festival, in order to attract more customers to your class’ cafe, the idea of giving free hugs came around. 

His friend had heard about it and came running to him, knowing that he has had the biggest crush on you since forever. “Y/N’s giving free hugs! Here, they’re on a schedule!” his friend shoves the flyer at him and he takes a look at it out of curiosity.

A few other students in your class are on schedule to give free hugs.

Your timeslot was 1:30 to 2:00

“Ahaha…” Aether grips the piece of paper and feels as if he started to sweat bullets. He waves his hand and laughs it off. “It’s alright, I don’t really wanna bother them. They must be really busy already,” he concludes and passes the flyer back to Lumine. 

“Aether!” Lumine exclaimed. “There’s gunna be other people lining up for the hugs, you know that right?” She was exasperated, Aether could tell, and the more he thought about it the more he just didn’t want to pass up the opportunity, and so, he was in line by 1:40.
