Researchers found that painting a single blade black on a white wind turbine reduces bird deaths by around 70%. The step makes blades more visible as they spin, even though they sometimes reach speeds of more than 150 miles an hour.
“Because of this high speed the rotor blades become blurred, both for humans as for birds. This effect is called motion smear. The rationale behind painting one of three rotor blades black is to reduce this motion smear effect, making the rotor blades more visible.”

Make your partner number one.
Your partner holds a very special position in your life. They are the only family you get to choose, the only person who you must decide to love every day, the only person who has the privilege of seeing every side of you. Honor the specialness of that bond, and make them your top priority.
A job or career won't stick around to care for you when you are sick or sad.
Your house is just a building of four walls and cannot love you back, no matter how much love you feed it.
Your children are special and beautiful, but they wouldn't thrive or even exist without the example of honest love that you and your partner give.
Your hobbies will wax and wane over time, your looks will fade, and even when you are plain, ailing, and old your beloved will stay by your side.
What happens when you treat your darling as number one?
They feel it. They feel the warmth of your love, they feel the respect and admiration, and it pushes them to be a better version of themselves. Your unfailing belief in them and trust in them will propel them to brighter shores. And they give it back to you threefold.
Give it a shot for a week, and watch how your darling glows.
