My New Years resolutions that I keep adding to as the month goes on:
Be more organized. Make sure my desk and areas are clean and manageable.
Get out and interact with people more/go to more events and socialize around campus. Hopefully this will help with my increasing anxiety.
Watch more scary movies to build up my nerves.
Interact more with the fan bases I'm a part of (I think I mentioned this one in my introduction post.)
Finish the three fanfictions I started last year and then ghosted. There is no reason that I shouldn't be able to have them all done by the end of the year.
On a similar note, make sure I reply to every comment instead of doing the equivalent of cowering in the corner until they go away. They took the time to say how much they liked my poorly written work, so the least I can do is thank them for their time.
I'm writing this down so hopefully I can hold myself accountable when I eventually start to slip.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all so much for your submissions, propaganda, votes, and all-around support for this silly little tournament. Never did we think we would get so much love and we're glad to bring to light the career and highlights of one of the world's greatest actors - Mr. William Claude Rains.
This blog still will remain active and will continue to be Tumblr's hotspot for all things Claude Rains-related and we'll be hosting more tournaments in the future as well as keeping up with reblogs and other fun stuff. We're likely going to be announcing the start date for The Queen of the Claudes mini-tournament sometime soon and our ask box is always open for questions, comments, and general silliness!
Again, thank you all so very much for keeping this blog alive and here's to the beginning of a beautiful friendship. :)
Please tell me you or someone else turns these into full-fledged fanfics.
Pretty Please?

I for one, welcome our new Transgender Alien overlords
I just saw a pro jk rowling post that's really wormed it's way into my head because it was so stupid and bigoted. Looked at their account, and it was even more deranged. To cope with this and not reply to that weirdo, I'm going to post pics of my dog until I feel a bit better.
(It took 8 pics to calm me down. Nice)
Claude Rains - (Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Wagon Train, Rawhide) - "The reason I got into Old Hollywood and started studying theatre and film! He's such a little cutie as well as a smoking hot, velvet voiced morsel of evil - he's that good and can play both so easily!..." text propaganda continued below the cut.
Patrick Troughton - (Doctor Who) - His version of the doctor is my absolute favourite.

Claude Rains:
While he might be more famous for his movie roles(like Casablanca, The Invisible Man, Lawrence of Arabia, Now, Voyager, and Mr. Skeffington to name a few!), he was also a television star in his own right! He had lots of guest spots on various shows but in the tv-realm, he's probably the most well known for his work for "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" and was a frequent collaborator with Hitch himself, having the spotlight for five episodes! My favorite tv performance of his was playing Father Amion in the episode "The Horseplayer", where he plays the kindest priest who gets taken for a ride and it's so heartbreaking to see him in tears where he confesses that it's his fault the church's funds were used for less than better means (but it all works out in the end!). It's such an honest performance and it's a refreshing change from all his evil villians (but we love them anyway!) he'd done in the past. Another favorite performance of mine is his performance as Leonard Eldridge in the episode "The Door Without a Key", a seemingly amnesiac old man who makes a bond with a lost boy in a police station. They're adorable together and I found myself tearing up a little when they both confess how lonely they are in the world.

Alright, since I'm 80% sure Doctor Who starts tomorrow, I'm locking in my crazy guesses on who Mrs. Flood is for the season. This is based off of nothing but vibes.
1. The White Gaurdian
My reasoning? Eldritch being in white. We've seen last season that Davies is pulling from Classic Who a lot, so why not someone pretty important to some of the otherworldly aspects of old Doctor Who?
2. Kronos
I'm still really bitter about the whole Sutekh and Ruby's mom thing tbh. I convinced myself that there was evidence that Kronos was Ruby's parent (they're a God, they don't really have a gender.) And since Sutekh called himself the God of Death, it would be funny if Davies brought in another being from Classic Who that was more neutral in their title of God of Death. And as you can see above, their form while on this plane of existence is white.
Also, it's almost 100% a thing that Flood's the one that took the gold tooth that housed The Master. In The Time Monster, Kronos was about to torture the Master for all eternity if the Doctor hadn't pleaded with them to show mercy. So maybe there's still some hard feelings?
And yes, both of these rely heavily on the fact that Flood was wearing all white for about thirty seconds in the Season 1 finale.
Obligatory musical episode I see. Thanks Buffy for solidifying that for every show in existence. At least the cover for the theme sounds cool.
Not digging the Cassie/Jane thing going on though. I'm team Shelly all the way.
They really don't want Larry to win, huh? Got him digging his own grave, starting to regret falling in love with Mr. 104, and worrying about what will happen to his space parasite baby when he dies.
Oh yeah, and the whole "I'm not ready to say goodbye" when Rita's on her deathbed even though he's all but accepted his own death?!
After EVERYTHING that's happened from seasons 1-3, let him have a happy ending or just let him die already.
I take back everything I said. 104 and Larry's musical number is the cutest thing I've ever seen and therfore I love this episode. It's like a sequel to People Like Us, but he actually gets to sing and be happy!!
Also, the ending number was kinda sick.
Terrible jokes and ramblings and OH GOD, THE PAIN! THE UNENDURABLE AGONY! (howdy)
