This Timelord Technology Is Getting Out Of Hand. First His Infinite Pockets, And Now His Infinite Hat.

This timelord technology is getting out of hand. First his infinite pockets, and now his infinite hat.

I know that I've made this joke before, but the fact that the second Doctor's hat is almost always slightly off-screen always gives me big Doug Dimmadome vibes.

But to be fair, the actual length of his hat is also too funny for me to take seriously anyway.

Ok so I've never advertised that I have an ao3 account on which I post stuff because I'm very self conscious I guess, but I just finished this short fiction about Ruby. I, like a lot of people, was not happy with the reveal of who Ruby's mom was.

I could pull up so many small details that made me theorize that it was Kronos, the cronovore from the 3rd Doctor's story "The Time Monster". But since we didn't get that I thought I'd write this. If your interested, why not give it a read?

I feel like Frankenstien kinda fits shadow and his lore really well.

also probably have to specify that shadow was probably the one who picked the movie.

My New Years resolutions that I keep adding to as the month goes on:

Be more organized. Make sure my desk and areas are clean and manageable.

Get out and interact with people more/go to more events and socialize around campus. Hopefully this will help with my increasing anxiety.

Watch more scary movies to build up my nerves.

Interact more with the fan bases I'm a part of (I think I mentioned this one in my introduction post.)

Finish the three fanfictions I started last year and then ghosted. There is no reason that I shouldn't be able to have them all done by the end of the year.

On a similar note, make sure I reply to every comment instead of doing the equivalent of cowering in the corner until they go away. They took the time to say how much they liked my poorly written work, so the least I can do is thank them for their time.

I'm writing this down so hopefully I can hold myself accountable when I eventually start to slip.

Patrick Troughton (Jason And The Argonauts)—He's Really Good As A Man Beknighted By Harpies Whose Immediate

Patrick Troughton (Jason and the Argonauts)—He's really good as a man beknighted by harpies whose immediate first reaction to being beknighted by harpies is to stuff as much bread down his shirt as possible. I won't mention his other roles (though im thinking about them. hard) and i just want to say everything about him is just a little guy, a tiny little little man, a man here for hopes and dreams and frivolity (but dont fuckin cross him you will get yoinked!!!!)

Giulietta Masina (La Strada, Fortunella, Nights of Cabiria)—To me, she is the DEFINITION of scrungly little guy, always, but especially in La Strada. She is hilarious, adorable and heartbreaking all in one. She was born in a wet cardboard box all alone. She is the slapstick clown woman of my dreams. She gets called an "ugly artichoke" TWICE in that film (not true, very brutal, but quite funny - she's the wife of the director too, might I add). Her face is so brilliant, no one ever emoted like she did. She is Pierrot Hot, simple as. Gif of the exact moment I fell in love with her upon first seeing this film, if you wanna include it: [link]

This is round 2 of the contest. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. If you're confused on what a scrungle is, or any of the rules of the contest, click here. Reminder that this is a movie bracket, not a TV bracket, so no TV-related propaganda will be accepted.

[additional submitted propaganda + scrungly videos under the cut]

Giulietta:

Patrick Troughton (Jason And The Argonauts)—He's Really Good As A Man Beknighted By Harpies Whose Immediate

She's Italian, isn't that enough? No? Fine. She also won two Cannes film awards and is best known for her character in La Strada, in which she played a young woman who fell in love with her captor and witnessed the cruelty of humanity, but still never really lost her child-like spirit.

Masina has a wonderful impish, scrungly quality to her that made her perfect for her iconic Sad Clown type roles. She got tons of comparisons to Chaplin (who despite being handsome, certainly *played* scrungles) and goddamn if they aren’t true. Like yes, she’s obviously beautiful when glammed up, but even in promotional photos, Masina always has this weirdo quality to her. I could see her playing a strange little goblin sidekick to Columbo as he solves a murder in Italy. Even in Nights of Cabiria, where she’s ostensibly playing an object of desire, Masina carries herself with a gait usually reserved for old crones and character actors, (which only makes her yearning for happiness more tragic!).

I think everyone is forgetting one important fact about the Laudanum though: it was produced/distributed by CMOT Dibbler. I don't think it was of the highest quality to begin with. While it might have still been hazardous/druggy, it might have been a weaker dilution of whatever.

Hello Mr Gaiman,

In episode 3 season 2 of Good Omens, Crowley drinks poison and isn't discorporated. Which had me wondering if it was normal or not. From what I understood, when on Earth, demons and angel can be discorporated by stuff that would kill humans (car accidents, fire, being shot...). Does it apply to intoxication as well, or it takes external damage to be discorporated? If not, then why did Crowley survive? Is it because he was a snake, or because he can eliminate intoxicating subtances from his body (like alcohol, but then again he can still have hangovers so idk) - or am I just wrong to assume that it should have damaged him?

Thank you if you answer (and even if you don't)!

Angelic systems are definitely more robust than human ones, even when inside a human-style body. We've seen Crowley drink quantities of whisky and wine that would kill a human or render one unconscious. He gets drunk, but his system seems to cope.
