I Didn't Want To Post Too Much About This, But I Have To Say I'm Even More Disappointed Than Before.

i didn't want to post too much about this, but i have to say i'm even more disappointed than before. to contextualize this post, jack recently blocked a fan account that had denounced haley, the same account i shared with you in my previous post, @/sc4rymoviess, which means he knows all about it. his action of immediately blocking that account, denounces his choice to ignore the situation and pretend it never happened, part of me can't help but say it's because he condones it.

i love jack immensely, he was a safe place for me, as he was for many of us, as were his roles. so i didn't expect this at all, i'm so, so disappointed. what hurts me most is the fact that haley adams is encouraging comments that incite hatred towards minorities, immigrants, of all ethnicities/races who make up a good part of jack's fans, and to see that nothing should be done about this. to think that he doesn't care about anything that results in dehumanization is sad.

xenophobia, racism, anti-blm, the fatphobic, body shaming, pro blue lives, it's all too much. haley puts up with everything that makes me feel hated by this country, and to see that jack doesn't care about that disappoints me to no end. i don't want to support him anymore, and i don't want to support his behavior. now i just hope that those close to him will react to this and open his eyes. but i don't want to let this go either, i refuse to give in to inaction because i'm revolted by injustice.

i’m asking you to please raise awareness, to denounce this, on whatever platforms you can, because it's the closest thing you can get to justice.

i also wanted to add that many of us are affected by this situation because of our background and identity, this is your sign to never let people like haley discourage you, and use this hatred towards you to make it your strength.

today i'm proud to say that i've used all these hateful comments i've received since my childhood to turn them into motivation, and thanks to that, a month ago i was admitted to sciences po, for those who don't know, the third best school in the world for political science, and first best in europe, which is very difficult to get into, and on top of that, with a specialization in latin america/caribbean. as both caribbean and latina, i’m so proud of it. which means that i’m the first in my family to do great studies and to be able to climb the social ladder in the future. It's precisely this injustice that has always driven me to strive for greatness, so that I can later act on a global level to fight for what I believe to be right, and defend my values, my community and all the oppressed.

no matter who you are or where you come from, you'll have to work twice as hard as the privileged people like haley, but it'll be worth it, so don't let anyone discourage you . and do your best to achieve your goals and be the best version of yourself in everything you do. i share your story and understand it, (my 8 years old self would be so proud bye)
