I NEED more of this in my life

Saturday, February 13th: Hi everyone, I’m Gemma, a bi, mentally ill disaster, who’s in desperate need of help. I've had to remake this, as I still need help and I'm become a bit ill from the flu and need medicine.
As most of you are already aware, I have been struggling financially for quite some time due to my welfare benefits being under a review, which is due to my worsening mental health and the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned. And at the moment, I'm currently struggling to get by, as I don't receive my U.C benefit until the end of the month, and I am still awaiting the outcome of my PIP assessment (March 2021 at the latest)
I'm completely heartbroken to keep asking for help, but I still desperately need some as I don't have anyone else to turn to, and I really need to keep my utilities/heating on as it's now between -6 /-12°c here and getting colder. (Goal £200)
If anyone could send me £10/£20 for my gas/electricity meters or a little more to help me get flu medicine + groceries to do me til the end of the month, it would literally save my life, and sharing definitely helps just as much as donations. Nobody is obligated in any way to donate if they can’t or don’t want to, I know we’re all struggling right now.
Thank you for all your help!! ♥️
Can you please reblog if your blog is a safe place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, asexual, aromantic, pansexual, non binary, demisexual or any other kind of queer or questioning people? Because mine is.
Most important: Spend the money you have on a motel. Churches probably will not actually help and shelters can be dangerous or turn you away. At a motel you have free breakfast, access to running water, and a lockable place to sleep. Do not waste money on a gym membership like the popular version of this post says to do, YMCA memberships are like $40.
2. Contact family and friends. Now is not the time to worry about being a burden. Your survival and safety comes first and that is all that matters, anyone worth having in your life will agree.
3. Start a gofundme. Even if someone can’t offer you a place to stay, they might be willing to toss out $5 so you can eat today.
4. Libraries have free wifi. Apply to any and all jobs you can think of if you aren’t already working.
5. Any home is a good home. Even if it’s a dingy apartment in a bad neighborhood. If its cheap and you can afford it, snatch it up.
6. Pancake mix and peanut butter are filling, cheap, and last a long time.
PLEASE SHARE THE FUCK OUT OF THIS

I know i’m just a shitpost blog, but I’m a shitpost blog based on a fandom that is processing some pretty massive revelations right now and I’m still trying to organise my thoughts on all of it and will hopefully be able to construct a more coherent post soon, but for the time being here are the broad strokes:
I 100% stand with Charisma Carpenter
Despite my plentiful fond nostalgia for both Buffy and Angel I am keenly aware of their many many flaws and the flaws of their creator
Joss whedon’s actions were and are inexcusable and despite the affection I have for the work many many people put into realising and building his creations, I can safely say I have no respect for him.
Buffy and Angel would never ever be what they were had he made them alone, he doesn’t have the vision, the genius, the integrity or the character he has been credited with, it came from countless people working together, some of them at the expense of their wellbeing under his employment
the heart and soul of the (onscreen) buffyverse begin and end with its actresses, the women who made both shows what they are. period. I would have never watched Angel had it not been for Cordelia, what was done to her character was a slap in the face to the fans, and what was done to Charisma behind the scenes makes me sick.
edit: and of course the female writers who prevented stories of female empowerment from being shaped entirely by men, marti noxon and jane espenson especially.
It warms my heart to see Amber Benson, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Clare Kramer, Michelle Trachtenberg, Emma Caulfield and Eliza Dushku show their support for Charisma. These women are the reason Whedon’s creation has any value at all, and to see them take a stand like this is beautiful.
that’s it for now. but trust me when I say I’m not done talking about this.

Thursday, May 6th: Hi everyone, I’m Gemma, a bi, mentally ill disaster, who’s in desperate need of help. I've had to remake this post as I'm still struggling to pay my late bills and debt.
As most of you are already aware from my previous post, I have been struggling financially for quite some time due to my welfare benefit (Universal Credit) being under a review, which is due to my worsening mental health and the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned. And at the moment, I'm currently struggling to get by, as all previous donations have gone to pay off old court fees and my rent arrears. I am also still awaiting the outcome of my PIP Assessment (May 2021 at the latest)
To be quite honest, these past few months have been absolute hell for me, and with no other income, I’ve been relying on the kindness of others to get by. And it's due to that kindness that I've managed to get my account down quite alot, but it is not completely paid off so I'm still in urgent need and bank fees keep getting added.
If anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would literally save my life, and sharing definitely helps just as much as donations. Nobody is obligated in any way to donate if they can’t or don’t want to, I know we’re all struggling right now.
