I love that KIKIYAMA describes yume nikki as a "warm-hearted" game. Specifically stating it isn't "a horror game." (src)

Along with the FAQ question of "Where should I go?" being answered with "You can go anywhere." it gives such a different outlook on the game for me.

I know a lot of people who draw fanart and create fan content keep this kind of ... desolate and morbid vibe with the whole thing. Which is to be expected with the game's contents. But how KIKIYAMA views this project; someone who will always know more about what yume nikki was supposed to "mean," I think showcases something really sweet about the whole thing.
