hsdgshd ok so originally i wanted to do something slightly more serious but i wasn't really vibing with how it was turning out
my artistic ability is limited
so i gave up on it for now and decided to draw something silly based on a fic i've been reading
and of course i think my art looks better when i'm not trying
if it wasn't obvious the fic was the mistakes we made by tastewithoutalent
but i don't think this is a very accurate representation of it so uh
i wouldn't quite consider it fic art but it's pretty much drawn with the fic in mind
this was very poorly planned i just sort of came up with everything on the fly so it reads super jank
but i think shizuo and izaya look cute at least
the third shizuo looks kind of stock pose to me but ahh
i already drew it i need to just let go if i want to get better
even if the movement is a little awkward i hope it still makes sense?
shizuo is supposed to be confused but i don't think that's very clear
an ''i thought you were having an episode or something'' moment
then he actually has an episode haha whoops
this is my contribution to shizaya week i'm sorry
i'm a lot better at writing tags that's for sure aha
i'll get around to that for other people's shizaya week stuff soon hopefully
i don't think i'll be able to finish anything else for it but uh we'll see

but i love how unruly his hair looks anyways
it looks so soft i want to ruffle it even more than izaya already has from his sheer presence
izaya's hair is also perfect
he hardly has to try and it makes shizuo furious
and the way you incorporated his furry fashion disaster
it's like a lion's mane he looks regal
and so very poof at the same time
and his gloves???
uuaaaggh and his expression as he lifts the king towards his lips
that cunning side glance with an edge of longing
he's making the first move and leaving himself decisively open
and then shizuo gripping the queen at a distance
but he isn't letting go is he
in the end he makes the big moves

it hurts to know that shizuo is right but in all the wrong ways
i hope the orihara twins are allowing themselves to cry a little like they said they would but that's not shizuo's right to know
what he does need to know is how hard he truly beat izaya down
i love that he can't help but *care* so much despite himself
and that he's kind of realising how the mindset he's been trying to live by for so long just doesn't quite work like he thinks it does
izaya is so obstinant it hurts
but it actually hurts and i don't quite blame him for refusing to surrender what they want from him
i suppose it's one way to have izaya face his issues but be careful with him he's fragile :(
he's doing his best to hold on to a semblance of anything and it's such a sad image that oozes exhaustion
i really like the aspect of forcing izaya to speak in english it's a very subtle way to wear him down
very characteristic for this sort of torture you describe perfectly as a slow-acting poison
which is slowly but surely diminishing at his sense of self
ooh that comparison to a bottom feeder hit all the worst places yikes
i have a lot more i want to say about shizuo and how effective izaya's torture is
but i hadn't even made it out of russia sushi before realising there was no way i'd fit it all in 30 tags so here's the abridged version
