There's sometimes a trend in fanfic where Steve is written as louder and more clumsy or bad at stealth compared to Natasha or Bucky.
I've read many where Natasha claims he wouldn't be good on a stealth mission.
I think that comes from the scene right after he gets the serum and he's running through the city, stumbling and crashing into things as he gets used to his new body.
But we see from his mission into the Hydra factory, the stealthy take down of Batroc's men on the ship in Winter Soldier, and his ambush of the Raft in Civil War that Steve very quickly and consistently is able to move quietly and stealthily, so I think that's a misconception.
I think Steve can be scarily quiet when he wants to be. Maybe he uses the preconceived idea of his stealth capabilities to his advantage and catches people off-guard when such a large man moves so quietly.
I previously mentioned the Internet Movie Firearms Database in my journal. Full credit for the information in this post goes to the IMFDB editors who contributed to its entry on Captain America: The First Avenger.
Steve’s main weapon is a Colt M1911A1 pistol. In some scenes, he’s shown with an M1928A1 Thompson submachine gun.
Peggy’s preferred sidearm is a Walther PPK. In the final attack on the HYDRA base, she wields an M1928A1 Thompson submachine gun.
Bucky uses a customized, scoped M1941 Johnson rifle to snipe. In a deleted scene, before his capture by HYDRA, he uses an M1903A1 Springfield rifle with a scope.
Gabe’s main weapon is a Browning M1919A4 machine gun.
Morita’s main weapon is an M3/M3A1 “Grease Gun,” a submachine gun.
Dum Dum’s main weapon is a Winchester Model 1897 “Trench” shotgun.
Falsworth and Dernier’s main weapons are Sten MkII submachine guns.
It is my headcanon that there is a gun on the table in this scene because The Winter Soldier has been trained to arm any of his handlers who are not already armed while in his presence so that, if they so choose, they can put him down at any time.
Later, it takes Steve months to figure out why Bucky gives him a knife every time they’re in the same room.
The US government is CONVINCED Bucky's still brainwashed because he keeps saying Minimum wage should be raised
Bucky, who spent most of life helping Steve get by with his 900 disabilities and illnesses: we don’t have universal healthcare by now?
Bucky’s therapist making a note that he’s still a Russian communist:
[The Asset strongly resists the programming and ultimately regains its identity.]

This was in my head all day at school.
he is just a silly boy
The first time he feels it, he doesn’t realize it for what it is.
It’s a whisper in his ear. Sinister, cruel. It sounds like Stick. It sounds like Fisk.
Matt shakes it off and goes on his day. It’s an anomaly. It’s trauma or a side effect from that hit he took last night. It’s an isolated incident.
Until it’s not.
