I always thought the squip would have to block more than just Jeremy's vision to actually remove something from his perception. And the problem with blocking sensory input at the level of the sensory nerves (rather than inside the brain where the input is processed) is that... now there's just a lack of input in that area?

When you have a blind spot in your eye, your brain's actually pretty good at filling in the hole with surroundings so you don't notice. I'm not sure if the same is true of tactile nerves --- but I thought maybe the squip would just selectively mute those nerves whenever Michael touches him. So here's a comic where Jeremy notices that numbness and puts 2 and 2 together :P

Ok so it was only an amount of time. 

This is an artwork of Evan based on the song Stars In My Eyes by Ball Park Music!! I absolutely love this song and I decided it has Evan vibes. I also realised he literally has the lyric “we start with stars in our eyes” in wtaw so it’s perfect. The song is pretty much about longing for the optimism of your youth that you aren’t even sure really existed. I’m thinking like sb/ss from his perspective, because he still thinks that he screwed his whole life up and is unforgiveable at this point, but he really wants to be comforted (“so tell me it’s over / tell me a lie” is very applicable here I think).

i know that it’s been said in the book that Darry’s relationship with his parents was great but the potential of him having been deeply hurt by them but putting up a pretence that all was well with their relationship in order to preserve Ponyboy and Sodapop’s memory of them is so scrumptious. The idea of him having been physically abused in some way as a small child and later swearing that he would never do the same, but then seeing his father in the mirror for months after he hits Ponyboy. Add on the idea of Darry being on bad terms with them when they died and the angst gets so gooddd
