Candy Jar (2018)
I may look calm and composed on the outside, but I assure you I am in a constant state of internally screaming
me: *patiently waiting for talented people to start writing “fbi agent watching me AU” fanfics of my otps*
fbi agent watching me:
I vote Stucky
Who doesn’t love a great #Enemies To Friends To Lovers trope? Or a good #High School AU trope set in a debate club where the characters are forced to work together to win?
And honestly both Jacob Latimore and Sami Gayle were so damn CHARMING in their roles. Bennett was so smug but only in the best ways possible. And Lona so damn angry and grumpy. And both of them so driven to win and get into their dream colleges and obviously fraying at the edges.
And yes also so clearly meant for each other (like I said, I just watched fanfiction).
Oh and the ‘our parents can’t stand each other’ thing was great too especially because it didn’t actually vilify either one of them (and actually both mothers were equally good parents while simultaneously capable of glaring daggers through fake smiles at each other and landing pretty vicious jabs at each other’s characters. Which was actually a pretty great side story).
I mean don’t get me wrong, for the most part it was cheesy as hell but there were certain bits that were pretty clever too. And it certainly did land one solid sucker punch near the middle that I don’t want to spoil.
Just… look at these idiots:
The Grim Reaper is no longer able to claim lives directly. Instead, when your time is up a mark appears on your body and it is the duty of every other person to kill you on sight.

All Summer Long We’ve Both Been Free by perfect_plan (complete |40,841 | M)
Steve has finished school for the summer and waits for the influx of visitors to the island where he lives and the friendships that may bring. What he gets is a whole lot more and this summer will change him in more ways than he could ever imagine.
Fantasmic! by mambo (oneshot |11,464 | T)
It’s Steve’s second summer working at Disney World when he meets Prince Charming (aka: Bucky Barnes, college kid from Brooklyn whose ass looks absolutely devastating in his Prince Charming slacks) and maybe starts to feel a little Disney magic in his heart.
These American Dreams (ain’t no white picket fences left for me) by kariye (oneshot |50,608 | E)
In which Bucky has a house, a dog, an herb garden, and a serious case of insomnia. Welcome to Havensport, Indiana (population 8,294), where Tom’s Neighborhood Grocer stays open all night, little old ladies call the car shop to get their refrigerators repaired, and the heat of summer days and the length of summer nights can make you think that this perfect world will last forever.
Communism was just a red herring by notallbees (oneshot |17,448 | M)
It’s the 90s, it’s summer break, and Bucky is staying with Steve for two months while his parents travel to India.
It’s shaping up to be the best summer ever until Steve’s mom makes things weird by telling them that they’re gay for each other. All of a sudden Steve is full of strange thoughts about his best friend, and Bucky will barely speak to him. All Steve wants is to make things right again.

Everything Magical by rooonil_waazlib (WIP |6,812 | E)
Steve’s just about to apologize when the girl elbows her brother again. “Ask him out, Bucky,” she says, still looking at Steve, not even pretending to whisper.
The man—Bucky—turns to gape at her. “Becca,” he hisses.
“What?” she asks, smirking. “You said you want to.” She winks at Steve. “Or you can ask him. He’ll say yes, I promise.” Steve’s heart pounds a little—should he?
You know what makes me sad?
The fact that Ron Weasley is seen as what the horcrux showed as his greatest fear.
Not good enough.
rose: aesthetic notebooks, sad movies, writing a diary, written work, looking up ten or so new fonts every day, soft giggles, can be distracted easily, sweet, always helping other students
sunflower: extremely competitive, studies wherever, high motivation but sometimes no talent, does the talking in group presentations, asks the questions others are afraid to ask, going on walks to clear your mind
lily: reading the course material over and over until you get it, fairy lights, can be innocent, cries over bad grades, disorganized, wants to bujo but doesn’t know how, dancer, probably scared to ask for help
orchid: self-starter, cinephile, can do anything they set their mind to, vintage supplies, always returns what they borrowed, best friends with the librarian, soft voice, ink pens
daisy: natural, wants to change the world someday, vegetarian, activist, can change your mind in two seconds, genuine laughter, not wanting anybody to feel left out, reading extra books because you’re not feeling challenged enough, getting lost in crowds, europe travels
cherry blossom: doodles in the margin, always tries their best, needs a lot of validation sometimes, shy, borrowing your friend’s notes and their sweaters, chapstick, bringing hot chocolate to study groups, mom friends, super organized, smol bean
“Are you alright?”
“Yes, of course. Like I said; I didn’t know him very well.”
