SET IT UP IS AMAZING!!

the acting is incredible. 

the main characters aren’t stereotypes.

everyone, even the side-characters have a freaking personality. 

the ‘best friends’ characters are AMAZING, they aren’t there just for exposure purposes, they actually make the plot evolve.

all these characters felt real, they all make mistakes and face consequences for those mistakes. 

the characters are relatable as hell.

also, the CHEMISTRY between the main characters is so fucking incredible and natural.

the plot might be predictable, but it’s so good, and so well written!!!

and the pacing is GREAT??? you don’t feel like there’s any part that was rushed, or that there’s a part that falls flat compared to the other????

it’s fun and cliche, but not too overly cliche you’ll roll your eyes. it’s the type of cliche that will make you happy and believe in happiness again. this movie will truly leave you with a smile on your face.

FUCKING AMAZING SOUNDTRACK. makes you want to fall in love.

if you love rom coms, and you want to watch one that isn’t a ‘so bad that is good’ rom com, ‘set it up’ will be the ‘so good that is FREAKING AMAZING’ rom com you’ve been waiting for. 

btw, IT WAS WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY WOMEN.

watch ‘set it up’ on netflix. it’s one of the best rom coms i’ve seen in years. i really think you won’t regret it.

lilacs: freshly fallen snow, slow kisses, old perfume bottles, silky hair, late mornings, the sea, meaningful looks, always buying new books, high heels, embroidery, the ‘maybe in another life’ kind of love.

hydrangeas: blueberry ice creams, sparkly nail polish, staring at the moon, doodling, jeans jackets, enjoying your own company, silver rings, long walks in the park, flavored cigarettes.

tulips: scented candles, lazy afternoons, lying in bed, chipped nail polish, loud laughs, meeting somebody for the first time, knotted headphones, golden highlighter, staring at the clouds.

lilies: cobbled roads, midnight snacks, beat up converse, hanging out with your friends, matte eyeshadows, trying to help as many people as you can, freshly picked apples, colorful patches.

sunflower: extremely competitive, studies wherever, high motivation but sometimes no talent, does the talking in group presentations, asks the questions others are afraid to ask, going on walks to clear your mind

lily: reading the course material over and over until you get it, fairy lights, can be innocent, cries over bad grades, disorganized, wants to bujo but doesn’t know how, dancer, probably scared to ask for help

orchid: self-starter, cinephile, can do anything they set their mind to, vintage supplies, always returns what they borrowed, best friends with the librarian, soft voice, ink pens

daisy: natural, wants to change the world someday, vegetarian, activist, can change your mind in two seconds, genuine laughter, not wanting anybody to feel left out, reading extra books because you’re not feeling challenged enough, getting lost in crowds, europe travels

cherry blossom: doodles in the margin, always tries their best, needs a lot of validation sometimes, shy, borrowing your friend’s notes and their sweaters, chapstick, bringing hot chocolate to study groups, mom friends, super organized, smol bean
