what do you mean elon musk did a nazi salute on live tv at the united states presidential inauguration twice and is now erasing the evidence off the internet by replacing the footage with the crowd cheering instead?
would be a shame if people reblogged this, wouldn’t it?
No one wants to leave the country they grew up in, but news like this shows how difficult it is to live in Gaza with homes, schools and hospitals destroyed.
So I hope you can help me evacuate my family from Gaza so that my father can get treatment abroad. I beg everyone who sees this to either donate or participate so that we can get out of this nightmare.
Caitlyn Kiramman has the most interesting arc from both seasons. From a morally idealistic character to a morally nuanced protagonist.
Being the daughter of a counselor and a doctor, Caitlyn Kiramman has a mantle of a kingdom on her shoulders that has yet to sink in during S1. Therefore, Caitlyn went her way to become an enforcer, despite her parents’ approval. Enhance why her color scheme is purple.
But before that, we need to remember that this woman survived an explosion at a young age, while helping her friend, to which considers her brother, and it’s her parents’ protege, Jayce Talis. Carrying equipment for his investigation, in which she dropped, warning the others (Vi & Co.) that were inside the studio apartment. This was unintentional from her part, however, it marks a significant part of her story is.
Caitlyn could have always said, “Mother, Jayce put me in danger, therefore, we shouldn’t trust him” after that accident. But she doesn’t. Why? It all comes down to one thing
Power.
Caitlyn, even as a child, understands power. The power that she has and how it can be used. Obviously, she doesn’t understand it completely, but she does in a surface level to not say something along the lines “I want him out of our lives.”
Because of that and other reasons, her mother Cassandra Kiramman tries to help her protegé, though it was futile since Jayce screwed himself, but that’s on another analysis.
Now, Caitlyn is a sheltered kid. Meaning that she has been put in this golden bubble for her ‘safety’ and content. Thanks to that, Caitlyn has an idealistic view of the world that surrounds her. Meaning her words “I’m a miss fit too, I suppose.” Talk about her nativity in life but also she might not be afraid to step out of the comfort zone.
And due to that, she signs up to be an enforcer, regardless of what her parents, especially her mother, thought of it.
Caitlyn wanted to see the REAL world and protect it, put the vision she has, just like Grayson did. Next time we see her, in S1, she is in her uniform in front of a tent (under instructions of Sheriff Marcus and her mother) which seems irritated by it.
When the attack happened, for amusement and wanting to be useful, and not being posted in a tent which we all know her mother didn’t need protection, Caitlyn partook the investigation that Marcus was avoiding to get It detail. Especially after the explosion that happened in that same night.
Marcus seeing the threat and determination of Miss Caitlyn I walk through everything because I feel the need to check on it Kiramman and her parents’ concern of her being on the field, they make the decision to cut her loose from being an enforcer.
Caitlyn knowing this through Jayce, is furious by this. After he made his proposal of her working for him in his ministry of security. In which, out of entitlement, sense of curiosity, justice and idealistic morality, she starts to investigate on her own. Using her resources, her power.
Once Caitlyn gets to Stillwater, pretending to still be an enforcer, with the purpose of talking to the witness. When she finds out that her witness for the case is injured by an inmate, asks who it is. Obviously the guard knows who she is, or more like, who her parents are. He gave the intel on who was, which leads to Caitlyn to ask them questions.
When she finds out who it is and gets to their cell, Caitlyn starts to interrogate her. Her is Vi, inmate 516. In this scene, Caitlyn doesn’t ask indirect questions, she is very open on what she is looking for and doesn’t hesitate on questioning it. And Vi, deviates them. While Caitlyn, who expects answers immediately (part of it is part of being spoiled other is that she is a police woman), grows frustrated until Vi mentions a name. Silco.
Caitlyn, on detective mode and desperate for answers, crosses the red line, deciding to maybe I should trust her. Caitlyn shows Vi her evidence, and demands the answers that she was looking for, however she is presented with a problem. She needs to release Vi to gather the prof she needs to state her case to the Sheriff.
Caitlyn knowing her sources, she takes advantage of them. Using Jayce’s name to get Vi out. Why not her mother’s? Logically, because they would question her mother, risking her to intervene in her investigation. Caitlyn understands that she has to play dirty to get what she wants.
Now, let’s cover the scene. The parkour scene. Caitlyn is a ‘proper lady’, raised in the environment of class, manners and politeness. Meaning that the moves that Vi did, Caitlyn would never pulled them off, especially with the attire that she had, which is her regular uniform as a guard. This showcases the differences between with their upbringing and the striking nature of both of them.
Later, Caitlyn, obviously not trusting Vi, questions her at every walking moment. Her mistrust comes from a lot of things, one she is a zaunite, she must be someone who is completely accustomed to trouble and, that she is a stranger. That trust almost happens when she saves Vi from Sevika, but other than that, she doesn’t know Vi to just jump to her and say: ”save me”.
That’s why when Caitlyn attempts to make a joke about the last drop: “looks like that place has bodies buried in there.” Vi lashes out to her, portraying a boundary and shut her off. Personally, I found it funny but that’s because my humor is somewhat twisted.
Now the legendary sapphic scene ever: the cupcake scene. For obvious reasons, Caitlyn is unsure of where and what to do, giving an opportunity for Vi to rizz her up and distract her for a minute or two. In Caitlyn’s point of view, she is concerned that she might be out of her comfort zone. In this scenario, she has no control of how things are going to play. But once as we later see, she becomes a huntress, her real nature.
Caitlyn is a hunter, she knows her prey and its surroundings. She knows how to play those cards once she is ahead. We see this too when she tries to cause the collapse of the old house when Silco found them.
But when it came down to Jinx, Caitlyn looses that control, why? Vi. At this point in the story, even though is not an open feeling, but Caitlyn cares for Vi, not romantically (yet but there is a tension) but cares enough for her to want to protect her and help in ways that she can. And because of that we end up with Ekko and the firelights.
Now, covering the discussions that Caitlyn has had with various characters about the war morality, in which Caitlyn has an idealistic view and Ekko has a more aggressive one. This also happens in the meeting with the council, in which Jayce takes an aggressive approach while Caitlyn takes a more idealistic solution. Both of this cause an effect on how things are going to proceed, for the better of the worse.
One, it was a wake up call for Caitlyn when she discussed with Ekko about the stone. It made her realize the issues within the city and the fucked situation that was going on. While with Jayce and council, it was running in circles nonstop, the council mostly being blind and pinning every problem to the zaunites while Caitlyn and Vi were trying to make them aware of the issues that they caused.
With the attack caused by Jinx and Vi coming back to her despite Vi wanting to help her sister, just for later after the meeting with the council was a failure, the concept of oil and water comes up. Caitlyn is water, purity and pristine, something that we see that it disappoints her but also frustrates her, she now realizing that not only she trust Vi, she loves her. And just when she comes to that awakening, she is kidnapped by Jinx.
From what we see on screen, Jinx might have spooked Caitlyn so much that she is deeply terrified but also worried once she sees that Vi is there too. And in a desperate attempt to protect Vi, she makes a bold move, trying to kill Jinx. But since Jinx in enhanced and Vi pleaded her not to kill Jinx, it was a futile effort that ended up her being knocked out and without a mother.
Grief can change a person, and that’s what happened to Caitlyn Kiramman. After the bomb attack, Caitlyn looses control (all of it). But that control is loose slowly. At first, it starts with her emotions when she hugs Vi, the second is when Vi rejects being an enforcer and third is in the memorial attack.
“I had the shot”
But she regains it, however is not into the Caitlyn that we know. No. Caitlyn is not just Caitlyn, she is a Kiramman. Caitlyn is claiming that identity, transforming into her counterpart, a part that has been there, her powerhouse tactic. The ruthless hunter.
“It’s the Kiramman name…it bewitches people”
“I’m a con decorated officer. Leader of House Kiramman. Address me with respect or keep your mouth shut.”
The crown is in the tip of her head, signifying the world and the burden that now she carries. And with every single action that she does the more she fits into that crown. And cover the next point, the separation.
Through Caitlyn’s eyes, Vi betrayed her. How? By her not letting shut Jinx. Let’s face it, Caitlyn had the shot, again. It brings us back to S1, EP9. But this is another detail that I noticed.
“This isn’t on own terms.”
This confrontation, is not on Caitlyn’s nor Vi’s terms, is on Jinx’s. Meaning that neither the plans nor the intentions aligned to either original plans. Caitlyn wanted to bring Jinx to justice, but also it transformed into a seed of vengeance with a strong desire to kill her. Vi, out of guilt and having a moral compass, joins the enforcers to shut down Jinx, only to find herself in a torn situation. And Jinx, had intentions to kill all, whether it was her or Vi, her plans end up being jinxed by Isha but she has what she wanted, a fight.
Now having this in mind, Caitlyn is desperate to make amends, to put the criminal that killed her mother in misery now being stopped by not only the sister of said criminal but also the love of her life. That is where her rage comes from after S2 EP3. She loves Vi but she needs to be the Kiramman Piltover needs. Caitlyn needs Jinx out of the picture. And every reminder of her, and one of them is Vi.
When we see Caitlyn back in Piltover, she has changed. She is in the Kiramman persona. Ruthless hunter and politician with a sense of violent justice, which now will be fueled and shaped by Ambessa Medarda.
How will that happen? Simple. Make Kiramman a Commander.
In next episodes, we know months have passed. Caitlyn is having sex with Maddie Nolan, part of her filling the shoes of being Kiramman and trying to avoid her deep emotions about certain someone (cough Vi cough). From this moment one, we can notice her “relationship” with Nolan is strictly out of control than out of love. And let’s be honest, Caitlyn never trusted Maddie with her emotions only her concerns about her ruling, nothing else. It can beg the question that maybe Caitlyn might have been aware that Nolan was up to something.
By the time of EP4 and EP6, we see Caitlyn shift again, however, more into what we knew of her. Caitlyn starts questioning Ambessa’s methods.
“Why peace is always the justification for violence?”
She is opening her eyes, from our point of view. However, we can see a barrier between Caitlyn and Ambessa from the Paint The Town Blue montage. And Caitlyn’s questioning goes further and bolder after confirming her suspicions of Singed.
Now, the scene with Singed and her new found information, Caitlyn comes to two realizations: one, Singed is bad, but she can understand and sympathize with his reasons. And two, this is the same reason why she did what she did.
"...For love"
Let’s take on account what happened from S1 to S2. Caitlyn loves her job, and believed in a system that Grayson (her mentor and someone who seems she trusted in) practiced. Later, through the same job, Caitlyn meets the love of her life, Vi. Then her mother dies trying to protect the person she loves from her sister. Failing at it because of the same reason, love. Later Caitlyn proposed to Vi to be part of the enforcers, out of love and protectiveness. Because Caitlyn doesn’t want Vi to die trying to get to her sister. She doesn’t want Vi to suffer if she is the one that ends up dead.
Using the Grey was out of vengeance and need to protect Piltover from Jinx, but it was rooted out of love for her mother, despite their differences. It was always bout love.
And that makes Caitlyn Kiramman interesting. She does have morals, ideals and beliefs overall good, however, her means are understandable at best and questionable at worst. She comes to this conclusion when she meets Singed and confronted him.
Which is why, seeing the dark turns she took because of it, Caitlyn knows she has to set the record straight. But it wasn’t her time to strike, she is a huntress after all, she has a timing for everything. And during her fight-training with Ambessa wasn’t one of them, neither when she was with Ambessa in her office.
That is the reason why the Grey was used in sections instead of just doing in all of Zaun. Yes, if we go to our laws, it is a war crime. But we know that the options given for Caitlyn to act on was a full scale invasion, which no one, even Zaun, was ready for. Or, Caitlyn using the gas and having a strike team to terminate Jinx and the remaining of Shimmer and its distributors in strategic attacks, and lowering the numbers on casualties.
Taking this in consideration, that is how why see Caitlyn outside of the tents when Vi is following Singed. Caitlyn had knew she needed to do something before Ambessa acquired Warwick.
Caitlyn betrays Ambessa, not just because of Vi, but because Caitlyn knows that the path that Ambessa is taking ain’t it. Caitlyn’s plan to attack is completed once Vi is in the picture.
Which is one step ahead to amend the things that she did. And what is it? Hurting Vi and everything she believed in, in order to pursuit a vain justice. In order to become a Kiramman and not Caitlyn Kiramman.
Now, EP8 had a lot of things going on with her character, but it all boils down to her taking a step forward from her grief and live, even if she ends up heartbroken in the process. Caitlyn knows that she messed up, between her and Vi, and everything else. For doing what she thought was right, for letting Ambessa take control of almost everything of Piltover.
“We can’t erase our mistakes”
“No amount of good deeds can undo OUR CRIMES”
Caitlyn is holding herself in the same standard that she does with Jinx. She considers her and Jinx criminals because she knows that she had committed crimes in order to do good, or the good that she thought she was doing.
And that is the reason why she lets Vi decide what to do with Jinx. Despite knowing by law that she shouldn’t. She trusts Vi with that decision than herself. Caitlyn can’t forget what happened to her mother, even if she made her mind into forgiving Jinx. Therefore, she rather lose Vi in the process of letting Vi choose her sister than lose Vi again for Caitlyn choosing for her.
We know the outcome, in another analysis I’ll explain further the importance of this scene, but this not the one. However, I’ll briefly talk her point of view.
Caitlyn wasn’t shocked but that doesn’t mean that she didn’t think of that possibility. In this moment, Caitlyn is seeing Vi vulnerable and truthful about it for what it feels the first time. Now Caitlyn has the decision if to let Vi drift away with herself deprecating or she clarifies that this was her intention all along.
And Caitlyn does the latter, she chose to tell Vi that it was okay. She wasn’t mad at her, She knew this would happen and that she wanted the decision to be from Vi. And for that reason she does tell Vi briefly about Maddie, just for Vi to shut her off.
“Cait…I don’t fucking care”
And Caitlyn loves Vi so much that she would let her go in other for Vi to be happy. That is why she felt remorse when she saw Vi’s wound. Again, regretting what she did to her. But we know what happened next.
Finally, the battle. Caitlyn fights Ambessa, with disadvantage because she was stabbed by Ambessa and Maddie knocked her out. Even with that, she had to try, again her huntress side came out. But now is not about her seeing and strategically attacking the prey, Caitlyn is doing an offense impulsively with direct and “desperate” attacks (Vi must have rob to her, somehow).
But the thing is, they weren’t. She knew the aim was Ambessa’s stones. That was the prey Caitlyn was after. And she did it, thanks to Mel’s aid. But the cost? Her eye.
This goes back to the principals of combat that Ambessa taught her. Sacrifice. And that is what she did.
Now, Maddie’s betrayal didn’t affect Caitlyn as much as anyone would think of. Of course Caitlyn might have been disappointed but she clearly wasn’t surprised at all but the revelation. Again, Caitlyn wasn’t full open to Maddie in ways that she is with Vi.
Caitlyn must have given up her seat at the council and started anew. With Vi. Who she asked if she was willing to be with her, and fighting along side her if it came down to it. Caitlyn is asking out of vulnerability, she knows that this is only the beginning of a new era they might face. She knows that despite all, Caitlyn has to face new things that are outside of her.
“Are you still in this fight, Violet?”
“I’m the dirt under your nails, cupcake…nothings gonna clean me out.”

P.S. Comment respectfully, ty!!!!
And the worst part is that most of the people say the same thing that other person did, repeating it constantly, creating a mob mentality. It disappoints that some people can’t think for themselves even if they’re payed for it.

i think it would benefit fandom culture in general to learn how to think and say:
"this story didn't go the direction i hoped for or cater to my personal tastes/tolerances regarding certain subject matter, character arcs, and plot delivery methods. oh well! at least others seem to understand and enjoy it."
... rather than:
"GGGGRHGHGFJHH the writers are BAD, the representation is BAD, they don't know their own characters as well as I DO. i can NEVER overlook these characters' flaws and negative actions NO MATTER what led to it, how conflicted they are about it, or how they show desire to change. and if the writers don't EXPLICITLY make these characters apologize for and condemn every awful and questionable action via extensive and literal dialogue AND solve every outstanding conflict by the end of the story, that means they're CONDONING these horrible things in real life and we shouldn't care!"
I’m planning to do a character analysis of Arcane and I wanted to know which character you want:
Reblog if you're asexual and tired
**Spoilers For Arcane***
There has been a tremendous amount of conversation regarding Jinx's fate in the end of the show. I think by now, most of us seem to agree she is alive. There is a significant amount of evidence. But one of the conversations I have enjoyed reading different takes on, is did Caitlyn tell Vi her suspicions? should she? and why didn't we see one way or the other? This will be fairly short compared to my usual work, I just wanted to delve into these questions, offer my thoughts, and hopefully get some good discussion out of it!
The Shimmer streak right as the explosion occurs
I have seen some argue that it's simply the purple inside the bomb. This is possible of course but it seems extremely directed.
2. Caitlyn's investigations
When it is all said and done, we have a quiet moment with Caitlyn investigating the cooling/vent system of the tower where Jinx died, as well has holding the mostly intact head of her monkey bomb. the implication here is quite clear. But of course it is not definitive. They are only telling us she reason to be thinking about Jinx being alive.
3. Full Circle
The second shot is the last one of the show.. if we didn't have the first shot to fall back to it would feel quite random but if you think back to that, it seems quite clear what they are implying. Additionally although I don't have a good way to share it here, the score in this moment is variation on "Dear friend across the river" which we hear Powder singing to open the whole show.
4. Glitched The End
That is the very last shot we are given and the animation is very in line with the glitch style of Jinx we have come to know so well.
5. Arcane Afterglow For Act 3
Skip to 1:19 if that is all you are here for
________________________________________________
There are others for sure. I saw someone in the community post some pages from the artbook showing things like "i'm still here" I believe it was. And I know there have been other interviews and such. This is just what I am personally aware of. And while of course I am just a regular fan and I don't know any better than any of you, this is all enough for me to feel confidant saying she's alive. I am of a similar opinion to many I have seen. I do not think Caitlyn had told Vi by the end of what we saw, but I think it's because she herself is not 100% sure yet.
Why isn't she sure?
Well even using the evidence I listed, only one out of those five points is something Caitlyn would be aware of. Now I do think she is probably fairly confidant, as the implication of her investigating at all was very clear. But keeping in mind that she knows how badly Vi wanted to save Jinx, and the enormity of the guilt Vi must feel given that Jinx had to save her (Vi was legitimately having a dissociative episode born of her PTSD and there was nothing she could do. Don't start with me Anti-Vi'ers), I think Caitlyn would be very careful to not give Vi false hope.
Would Caitlyn Even Tell Vi and Risk Her leaving?
I think so. And my reasoning is that she has done it before. When she paved the way for Vi to free Jinx, there was every possibility the sisters would vanish into the night and Caitlyn would never see them again. With that in mind, and their dynamic in general with Caitlyn probably feeling she has a tremendous amount of trust to keep rebuilding between them, I seriously doubt she would risk hiding something so large from Vi if she felt confidant Jinx was alive. Jinx wanted Vi to live free of their past and find her happiness. I think Caitlyn would honor giving Vi the choice and hope for the best. Especially taking into account the whole dynamic around Caitlyn showing Vi how much she loves and respects not only her, but her heart. She cherishes the heart that drives Vi to protect those she loves. I don't see Caitlyn betraying that by trying to control her.
Is it better for Vi to know?
This one is tough. On the one hand, we have to factor all the things we already discussed in. We know Vi wanted them to be together. We know she is probably torturing herself over her sister's perceived death. But, we also have to consider the other side. Because by the end the Sisters are family again. So why would Jinx leave and not tell Vi the truth?:
Jinx herself will never know peace in Piltover or Zaun (at least as things are now). I'm not doing a whole thing here, but in Zaun they all want her to be their symbol. And in Piltover, regardless of her heroism or the reason she did what she did, there will always be stares and whispers for her crimes. Not to mention the whole process of whatever resolving the issues of her crimes would mean in the first place. It would not only be trouble for her, but probably for Vi and Caitlyn as well. She gave Vi permission to move forward with her life, and we saw Vi take it which is a reason to be hopeful. But if I were Jinx, and I had decided to leave, I would be very aware of the possibility that Vi would feel honor bound to leave the love she had found, and turn her back on the peace Jinx tried to convince her she deserves. Because while Vi is full to the brim with wonderful qualities, her journey to believing her own self-worth is still very new. And I think Jinx wisely would be worried Vi could not let her go alone. Just as Vi has to start finding herself free of their past, Jinx needs the same. It's not that she doesn't love Vi. I think she has made it EXTREMELY CLEAR that she does. But in terms of her mental state and her arc, I think she has resolved the conflict between the shattered ghost of Powder, and Silco's terrorist daughter. she IS JINX. She is no longer A JINX. And I think to find out what that means, she has to step away from the shadows of her past and start completely over. Just as Vi has to start finding out who she is without the crushing guilt and pain of their childhood. Listen yall, I know I can be quite harsh on Jinx especially because Vi is my favorite. But let me bring you back to something I first realized in my deep-dive on the sisters relationship.
Vi is a courageous, loving, and loyal sister who would fist fight the devil himself with one hand tied behind her back for her loved ones. But she is still only a person. And as always, the brilliantly heart wrenching writing of this show tells us exactly how Jinx feels about her older sister in the opening of the show, and proves it again at the end:
Even when they were little girls on that bridge, Vi walked tall, trying to shield Powder from the horror around them. But when it became too much, when the horror, and the pain, and the loss overwhelmed her, Powder threw her small body over her big sister trying with everything in her to be that shield for Vi.... Just as she would the next time Violet needed her...
I am firmly and completely convinced she would not leave Vi like that unless she truly felt it was the right thing for both of them. She has come to far and been through too much. Agree or disagree, I think she is doing her best to be that sister Vi deserves once more. Even if its painful.
My hope, is that Caitlyn shares her information with Violet when she feels she has enough to not devastate her beloved with false hope. And that hearing that, Vi will choose to honor her sister's decision, as well as see the truth that she herself deserves love, and peace, and safety, and be at peace. My hope is that in the end, Vi can see Jinx's decision was not one of neglect, or abandonment, or crisis. But just as Vi had always tried so hard to be Jinx needed, in that moment Jinx saw what they both needed, and made the hard call, to give them both the chance the world tried to steal from them.
Thank you all for reading. I know I have been a tad feisty lately and I wanted to get back to talking about what I love about this show! These characters and this story connect with us all on such deep levels because of their humanity. Their flaws, their strengths, the moments they succeed and the moments they fall short. Ultimately, we can't know if Violet will do the right thing if and when she finds out. But she and Caitlyn give me hope. I hope this has done the same for you.
Never stop standing for the stories that matter. See yall next time!
People spout "acab" to feel self righteous without actually thinking about the people who have been oppressed and hurt. The way people have moved from "blm" to "acab" because it's not about giving the oppressed their support but it's about finding a way to spread hate over allegiance.
People don't care about the people of zaun being free and living positive. They only care about attacking any affiliate of piltover. If they cared about zaun and zaun lives they wouldn't be putting silco on a silver platter. They wouldn't be ignoring how jinx helped hurt so many of her own people. Helped paint a target on zauns back. But vi puts on the enforcer uniform once and suddenly she's become zauns worst traitor.
These people want to talk about the divide between zaun/piltover, and say arcane fumbled the bag on its politics. But yall can't even bring logical discussion into it. Yall just want to see piltover punished actually, yall don't want to see zaun thriving.
That's why yall don't hold jinx using the grey on the entirety of piltover, uncalculated and actively harming kids/those who've done nothing but exists, to the same standards as caitlyn using it; calculated through the vents to take down the chembarons. Both are not good/ideal, but why can you criticize one action and not the other.
Backstory
I've been into Kpop for more than 2 years (I got in during lockdown) and I know (at least to some extent) how the Korean industry works. The slave contracts, the countless training sessions and the blood, sweat and tears (literally) are what makes Kpop the most interesting and depressing industry of them all. And we may advocate for changes in it, because this industry (administratively) sucks ass and should be illegal most of the terms and conditions that the trainees and idols face day to day. This applies to all industries as well.
I stan BTS, EN- and LSF, also casual listener of other groups such as TXT, AESPA, ITZY, SKZ, EXO, ATEEZ, G-IDLE, BP (as solo artists) and solo artists like IU and many more. (Is a lot of musical TMI about me but is for you to get the gist of what I'm going to say next).
But (again TMI), I studied back in high school business, particularly in accounting for 3 years and I went to a uni course for a semester on business. So I understand mildly the entails of it and how it works.
Now that's out of the way, let's go to the next point, shall we?
Main event
For those who don't know or are not into the kpop scene and such, there has been a controversy surrounding MHJ (former CEO of ADOR (music label under HYBE), HYBE Labels and recently with NJs and the lawsuit against ADOR. Why? Well, according to HYBE and provided evidence to the courtroom after filing a lawsuit, MHJ was defaming, disclosing private information against HYBE LABELS and Co,, including groups like BTS, LSF, ILLIT and many more under the same company, while violating breaches of her contract plus abusing her power in the company and trying to split-up ADOR from HYBE.
Resulting to MHJ stepping down from being the CEO to Creative Director for 3 years for ONLY NJs and then she was released. However, MHJ decided to quit that position. And for the next few weeks, a big storm came to HYBE after that.
NJ broadcasted a live on Weverse (a Kpop communication app) talking about their conditions if HYBE and ADOR still wanted to work with them. One of those conditions was bringing back MHJ as CEO. Given with a deadline. The deadline passed, and yes ADOR adjusted to their demands except one...the return of MHJ.
Now, MHJ is a controversial figure in Kpop. And a very concerning one, this woman is a certified pedophile and groomer since she with SM Entertainment. And this was reflected on groups like RV and Shinee, and many more under SM.
As a consequence, NJ members are "advocating" for a termination of their contract with ADOR (their label) due to mistreatment and contract violation from their part. Claiming that they won't pay for fees due to this termination and that their case for their claims is solid. But that is not the case apparently, since none of their claims seem to be backed up. And their contract is still active with the label.
My opinion The situation is getting worse for everyone, especially for NJ. The girls are in a complicated problem that they, most likely, developed it themselves by throwing their lives to MHJ. One thing is having gratitude to your boss their guidance but other is kissing their ass at every moment and treating them as if they did nothing wrong and that is you and them against the world. Even the parents support her. I'm not siding with anyone but I have to say that all their actions against the company are going to be futile due to the lack of evidence and invalidation of their clams. And them saying that ADOR violated their contract is a huge mistake since NJ are the ones who are violating the contract saying that they are no longer under them and doing things that violate it. Meaning, the ones who are loosing are the girls, with all and career. Is truly a sad situation for everyone.

This is only an insight of the issue and how I feel about it, I don't have a reason to hate/discriminate against them. I may understand that some of you might have different opinions on the matter, however be respectful about it. Just don't be an asshole.

I’m gonna be completely honest…the “break-up” (which was more of a fall out more than anything) between Vi and Caitlyn was completely necessary for both their developments in future episodes and how they would react to them.
1. Vi was deeply involved in all of it. Not by action but by association, therefore she felt guilty about what went down with Jinx and decided (after having an argument with Caitlyn about it) to become an enforcer and find Jinx, and kill if it came down to it. Which shows in one of the sequences of Jinx and Vi’s fight (when Vi steps aside to let Cait take the shot).
2. Caitlyn wasn’t in her right mind, and to be fair, if that shit happened to me I would totally loose it as well. Grief can bring the best and the worst in people. And because of that, she took advantage of her position as Leader of House Kiramman to chase Jinx and kill her. Transforming herself to the terrorist that she was aiming for.
Both were in a shitty position in act 1 that is not surprising that the outcome is devastating. They were doomed to drift apart due to radical decisions taken from both sides. Vi, driven by guilt, trauma and loss of Jinx “mentally”, and Cait driven by vengeance, grief and burden of the Kiramman House. Completely understandable but not fully thought out as they could’ve been but aren’t, yet sometimes those decisions are the lesser evil than the main proposal (which was beginning another civil war between Zaun and Pitlover). Still, it doesn’t make them right.
Vi did it out of guilty and obviously, because she thought it was the right thing to do, wearing a heartbreaking realization that her sister is “gone”(while Jinx/Powder is in still there, the problem is that Jinx takes the impulse of jumping into the most chaotic measures to destroy herself and everything around her). Meanwhile Caitlyn was blinded by rage and grief to think for a second all her plans to find Jinx. Not thinking for the consequences and dragging all the people around her to get her objective. They need to breath and distance themselves from the situations surrounding but in a time of crisis and despair, is not possible and the pressure to make ends meet is high.
For them to be in a healthy place to start over (like they did in 02x08) they need to go through it. Hurts to see them fall into habits but is very rewarding once you see the final outcome.

Lately, I've seen a lot of content creators and people online reacting and talking about Arcane season 2 in a negative way, to the point where they say that the season was trash. And honestly it makes me mad. If the ending of the story, or the story itself wasn't your cup of tea, is okay. Media enjoyment and appreciation is subjective, however, we can all be objective when it comes to the actual content of said media...and that is what has me so disappointed on their takes, because their reviews (that I came across with) are flat out lacked on media literacy and did not entirely understand the source material they were reviewing.
Let's start with the character arcs...in my honest opinion. THEY WERE GOOD. ALL OF THEM. I feel like a lot of people are exaggerating when it came to the arcs (especially Vi, Jinx and Caitlyn's) saying that they were not developed enough like in the first season, but I disagree. Most of their arcs for season 2 were HEAVLY hinted and foreshadowed in season 1, mostly Jinx's and Cait's.
One of the arc that gets more hate is Vi's, and is because of the s3x scene of season 2 episode 8 and the finale of season 2 episode 9, and overall season 1. As well as her forgiveness towards Caitlyn and how she acted selfishly in that episode. However, they don't take into account 2 things: 1. Vi is heartbroken (for what it feels the 30th time in both seasons) because Jinx/Powder tears and rejects Vi's help and unconditional love (Vi's fatal flaw is not knowing when to drop the towel, and establishing boundaries for herself, believe me, I learned that THE HARD WAY ) .
2. Vi and Caitlyn might not have enough time to talk about their feelings as deeply as they would've liked (a literal WAR is coming) so, they did it in the most raw and truthful form of love language, touch and eyes. No words, they weren't needed either.
Don't blame her for doing what it felt right in the moment, also let's be real here. Jinx gave her consent, and decided to leave Vi (Vi doesn't know the context, we do), for her sibling's benefit and love for her, because it hurts to Jinx that Vi is not taking care of herself and not pursuing what she truly wants, which is Caitlyn.
Was it in the worst moment of Jinx deteriorating mind? Yes. Was it out of place?...Maybe. But, was it necessary for the plot? OBVIOUSLY.
The s3x scene holds and magnifies the arcs of the couple and their vulnerability (Vi taking the leap and show her feelings, and Caitlyn responding and being truthful of hers). There are videos that explain the importance and the weight that holds in the arcs of Caitlyn and Violet, way in depth and detailed. They all point out the symbols and meanings of their gestures, which are wonderful. And ties together their bond and their strengths. As a younger sibling, strangely enough, I connect with Vi more than Jinx. That is because of the parental and family expectations that they have on me. I had to take a role of being the caretaker since "I'm more mentally stable". So I understand why Vi is the way she is.
Therefore, I understand and relate to Vi wanting to be selfish for once, without feeling guilty about it later. Not having regrets.
I recently rewatched both seasons and I have to say, it all played out perfectly, including the finale. And it payed off to all the build up in season 1, because of the foreshadows and plot devices used in both seasons to tell the story. The plot points and story arcs were very good, especially since they all connected to the main theme, which is forgiveness. Where do you draw the line in where there is nothing left to forgive or how far are you willing to do so. The plots truly showcased what is Arcane (narratively and character) and how does storytelling (mostly subtext, non-verbal and visual ) actually work. The way the writers handled it was MAGNIFICENT and TRAGIC. Which serves right for the story they conveyed in the series.
I think, one of the reasons that this season was received poorly (compared to season 1) is due to the already constructed ending and story lines that we might have thought of. Which might have more things or less than the main series but it was something to cling on before the premiere of the last season. And because of it, they judge it extremely and harshly without actually taking into account what the story was actually about. Would it have benefited of more episodes? No. Would it have benefited of more runtime? in some things, yes but at the same time, i don't mind it and I believe that it is good. Would it have been better if there was another season to wrap up the story? Definitely not. That is due to the story being pretty much a solid story with a few strong undertones that have unfolded before its finale. I LOVE Arcane, and I would watch it again and again (both seasons). I think, it is one of the biggest series of all time and also the most compelling one in modern media). This final season brought me to tears and this hollow feeling in my chest yet satisfied by the way it ended the main journey of Runeterra, and opened to many more.
Also controversial opinion, but I like season 2 a lot more than season 1. And that is because, I love the development of it (the show of progression and how it embraces the themes showed on the series)
BTW, THE MUSIC SLAPS. BEST OST HANDS DOWN MIC DROP!!!!!!
(P.S. As an english literature major, I might have more insight on this but don't be afraid to disagree/agree in the comments)
I want to know how y'all felt and if you want to ask me something or debate this, you're free to do so. I hope I can create a save space for all types of convos about this show.
